Justice League Academy
If you are reading this, it means you have been chosen to attend Justice League Academy, a special school for special students.
People like you.
Here, you will learn mastery of your special abilities, mastery of the equipment necessary to function as a superhero, and of course, a strong moral code and a sense for justice.
Dorm move in is set for April 2nd, 2017 (subject to change), and classes will start soon after. Dorm assignments will be sent out shortly.
Kindest regards,
The Justice League of America

The Justice League Academy is a school set up by the JLA with the intent of forming a secondary superhero team, a team of the best and brightest of next generation's superheroes. Their replacements.
The Academy is located on an uninhabited island somewhere off the East Coast of the United States, but it's exact location is kept under wraps so as not to be an easy target for supervillains. Students will get there via boom tube.

Characters
Faculty
Superman/Clark Kent (DankWaffles)
avatar_cbee34026688_128.png

Originally from the planet Krypton, Superman now defends planet Earth using his incredible strength, speed, flight, and other powers such as heat vision and ice breath. He has a kind heart and has a strong moral code of justice, morality and righteousness...some might even say his morals are too strong. He is very protective of the school and it's students, and will always do what he thinks is right for them.
Batman/Bruce Wayne (fanaticalferret)
avatar_8db07175f8b4_128.png

Often seen as dark, brooding, and grumpy, Batman isn't one to play by the books. Secretive and cunning, he uses his incredible detective skills and enormous fortune to use high-tech weapons and vehicles to put the villains to justice. He keeps up a gruff exterior to make him seem untouchable, but he cares deeply for his fellow League members and the students of the Academy.
Wonder Woman/Diana Prince (Wildcats)
ww.png

Strong, independent and powerful, the Amazon Wonder Woman is a force to be reckoned with, one that don't need no man. She enjoys long walks on the beach, crushing in the skulls of her enemies, spending time with her friends (and students) and ridding the world of evil, one bigoted pig at a time.
The Flash/Barry Allen (fanaticalferret)
1c16a0bcf67248b74aba4a8dac9730042e07f844_128.jpg

Commonly known as the Fastest Man Alive, the Flash is a devoted superhero. More than just a guy with super speed, he is also a man of science, and takes a methodical approach to taking down the bad guy. He has a good sense of humor, but can also be serious when needed. He is devoted to the school and it's students but tries to find time to protect his city as well as teach. He always wants to fix everything and help everyone, but unfortunately his time management skills leave something to be desired.
Red Tornado (Wildcats)
012_RedTornado-128.png

Sure, the robot Red Tornado may not be the most knowledgeable hero, but he makes up for that with his incredible by the book intelligence, his wind manipulation powers and his drive to do the right thing. He sees this as a learning opportunity, a way to figure out how those human minds work. Wish him luck.
Hawkman/Carter Hall (Scatterbrain)
1094750.gif

Locked in a endless cycle of death and rebirth, Hawkman has been many things in his countless lifetimes; an egyptain priest, a medieval knight, a gunfighter, a detective, an archaeologist. He has even served as a member of both the Justice Society and the Justice League using wings and weapons made of an alien metal. He now puts this vast experience to use teaching the next generation of heroes at the academy.

Bart Allen/Impulse
Username: fanaticalferret
Superhero/villain Identity: Impulse
Real Name: Bartholomew "Bart" Allen III
Age: Chronologically 3; physically and mentally 14
Gender: Male
General Appearance: Bart stands at about 5'4", but he's still growing. He has lean muscling, and is very flexible. He wears about a US 15 shoe size, which has gained him the nickname "Bigfoot" at home. His hair is brown and parts in the middle, and is always windblown and full of static, which makes it "big". He has bright yellow eyes.
impulse.jpg

full

Powers/Equipment: Super speed, which also leads to things such as running up walls and across water, creating whirlwinds, and vibrating his molecules enough to phase through solid objects (which he does easily, unlike Wally). Whether it’s due to his super speed or not, he has a photographic memory. His only equipment other than his uniform is a ring given to him by Wally West that he stores his uniform in.
Hangouts: Iceberg Lounge, Verdant, Happy Harbor Beach
Studies: Flash Track, Happy Harbor Beach, Amazon Arena, Green Lantern's Gauntlet, Martian Meditation (his torture chamber)
Dorm: J12
History: The grandson of Barry Allen, Bart was born with super speed and an incredibly accelerated metabolism. His body was growing so fast, by the time he was age 2 he looked like a 12 year old. The company EarthGov took him and raised him in a virtual reality, so he would age as fast mentally as he did physically. But if something wasn't done, he would soon die of old age. Bart's grandmother Iris Allen stole Bart back from the company and sent him back in time in the hopes that Barry (the Flash) could find a way to help him. And help him he did, pushing him to run at such fast speeds that his metabolism reset itself. Bart ages normally now, but is stuck in the past, and has little regard for his own safety because there was no danger where he grew up (a VR). He was sent to live under the guidance of Max Mercury, and lived with him for about a year in Alabama when this school opened, and Max decided this would be good for him (and a nice break).
Personality Traits:
  • Naive
  • Impulsive (duh)
  • Determined
  • Gullible
  • Loyal
  • Protective
  • Carefree
  • Oblivious
  • Messy
  • Lazy
  • Lonely
  • Terrible at keeping secrets/bad liar
  • Has less of an attention span than a goldfish (I wish this was a joke)
Tropes:
  • Big Eater: Unless it's raw seafood, he'll pretty much eat it, no questions asked.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's quite slow to anger, but do not try to hurt his family or friends, or you will regret it.
  • Brainy Brunette: He's actually quite smart, even disregarding the photographic memory, it's simply that he has the attention span of a goldfish, his thought processes are unlike anyone else's, and he just plain hates schoolwork.
  • Hot-Blooded: He definitely wears his heart on his sleeve.
  • Motor Mouth: This usually gets him into trouble, since he just blurts it out without thinking (obviously!) How big of a Motor Mouth is he? He annoyed The Joker to frustration! That has to count for something.
Other: Dialogue color is red
Writing Sample: "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" Bart asked, flopping himself down on the couch in front of his honorary uncle, Max Mercury, sitting across from him in his lounge chair, his hands folded in his lap.

Max began to explain - there was this school, for kids with powers?! Max wanted him to go, it would teach him some control and strategy and blah blah something about building character probably.

"Wait, so I'm gonna go live there? Are you coming with me?" Bart asked, sitting up in his seat. His initial feelings about this were excitement. He had initially had problems with making friends here in Manchester, but he was sure the kids at this school would be different. They would definitely be more understanding...and this meant he didn't have to hide his secret identity from them!

Max laughed. "No, I'm not coming with you. Think you can make it without me?" As much as Bart might rejoice the freedom he got when Max would go away from a few days, it was weird without him. He might complain about the guy, but they had grown close. But the Flash would be teaching at the school! His Grandpa Barry! But still...Bart was unsure about going somewhere Max wouldn't follow. The old man had taught Bart everything he knew about this time period, and...pretty much everything about life in general.

So instead of joking back, Bart got up and leaped onto Max, enveloping him in a giant bear hug. "Thanks, Max," he said softly, surprising the older speedster. It seemed to be understood by both that the thanks meant a whole lot more than just for enrolling him at the school.
Zatanna Zatara/Zatanna
Username: sevenstars sevenstars
Superhero/villain Identity: Zatanna
Real Name: Zatanna Zatarra
Age: 16
Gender: Female
General Appearance: Zatanna has pale blue eyes, raven hair, and a medium-sized, curvaceous figure. She generally wears a rather revealing version of the classic magician's outfit, whether she's crimefighting or not.

zatanna_by_prettywreckcosplay-d9q1swr.jpg

Powers/Equipment: Zatanna has powerful magical abilities that are activated through reverse speech. Basically, if she says something backwards, it'll happen. Well, most of the time. She still needs to get the hang of some of her spells, and mishaps do happen occasionally. If it's something super-powerful, she generally needs to practice and learn it beforehand. Some minor spells like lightweight telekinesis and basic illusions don't require backwards speech.
Hangouts: Iceberg Lounge, Verdant
Studies: Zatara's Magical Arts Dojo, naturally. Also the Kryptonian Repository for more general studies and occasionally the Amazon Arena for combat practice.
Dorm: Justice
History: Zatanna was trained as a sorceress since she was very young by her father, fellow homo magi Giovanni Zatara. Now, her father has decided that she should join the Justice League to train with other superhumans. Her father has long since defended Earth from invading supernatural threats, but they are becoming to great for him to handle alone. Until now, Zatanna has been fairly sheltered and never directly seen a real fight, but she is making the transition to take up her father's job, and possibly replace and maybe even surpass him. She couldn't be much more excited She's also starting to perform as a stage magician.
Personality Traits: Outgoing, dramatic, sarcastic, carefree, rebellious, but ultimately fairly kind and heroic.
Other: Dialogue text color "Indigo".
Writing Sample:Zatanna smiled exitedly as she finished preparing a spell that she would use to enter her orientation meeting with Clark Kent. She knew she was late, but she didn't mind. She would be fashionably late. It was just like any of her magic shows; all she needed to do was impress him with her fantastic spectacle and she'd be all set for now. It wasn't not like she would likely be at his every beck and call most of the time anyway. Then again, this was Superman, not some boring everyday teacher. He'd saved the world more times than she could keep track of at this point. Still, she didn't want to seem like she was sucking up to him too much.

Alright, now it was showtime. "Ytilibisivni! Tropelet! Dnarg noisulli!" she shouted as she appeared invisibly in the office of a bored Clark Kent. She looked on and laughed silently as the room began to explode with multicolored smoke, then seem to literally explode, then seem to teleport into the sky, then into space, then into the bottom of the ocean, then into the middle of Metropolis, then everything in the room turned to dust, then a flock of doves emerged from the wreckage, then the room re-formed back to normal with a hat on the ground, then Zatanna finally climbed out of the hat and placed it back on her head, bowed before him, and placed it back on her head.

"Hey, Supes," she greeted him confidently. "Looks like someone wants to join your party."

Tropes: She's got her own page, but here are some of the bigger ones.
Magicians Are Wizards: This one is.
Witch Species: She may be one of the most powerful homo magi in a long time.
Reality Warper: The best way to describe her magic, though she definitely doesn't have full control of it.
Cute/Hot Witch: Just look at her.
Screw the Rules, I Have Magical Powers!: This will definitely be a rebellious, carefree version of the character.
Rachel Roth/Raven
tumblr_n7286sUuIg1rboicqo1_1280.jpg
tumblr_nplmurpJz61qlc734o1_1280.png

Username: ThatDove
Superhero/villain Identity: Raven (so the answer is it's a bird)
Real Name: Rachel Roth
Age: 15
Gender: Female | She and her
teen_titans__princess_of_the_underworld_by_kankitsuru-d64oqbx.jpg

Powers/Equipment:

Soul-Self Projection - the basis of Raven's powers, she may project her soul-self in a variety of forms. Often, it appears as a giant pure black raven.

Teleportation - Raven is able to use her soul-self as a means of transportation. Dark matters would engulf the sorceress/target who won't resist (often friendly) and teleport them to a destination.

Shadow/Darkness Manipulation - as the daughter of the powerful Trigon, she can bend darkness and shadows according to her will, same may be said to lesser demons.

Empathy & Emotion Manipulation - Raven is an empath, meaning she may feel other's emotions especially if it's great anger. She can steal emotions, make other feel emotions and emphasize one of the seven deadly sins, pride on an individual.

Foresight - Through great meditation she may foresee things that'll happen in the future. Sometimes this occurs in her dreams and is involuntary.

Demonic Form - Raven may unleash her true form especially if she is feeling great emotions. Usually, her skin would turn red, sharp claws would replace her hands and a new pair of eyes would open on her forehead.

Telekinesis - The ability to make something move even if it's out of physical reach. In her case, darkness would outline the object being targeted.
WEAKNESSES:

Emotions - Raven's powers are bases and depends on her emotions. Thus, she must limit the emotions she feels from little to none. If her emotions gets a hold of herself, she loses her cool and does things that leads to danger for her and the people around her.

Chant - When dealing or unleashing great power, she needs to chant "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos". These three words may be short but it gives enough time for her enemy to interrupt.

Lonewolf - her anti-socialness may lead to various problems. For example, there are some things that her comrades or companions need to know (mostly about her) but she remains to keep it for herself.

Involuntary Powers - Raven's powers may act involuntarily from time to time. It deals great damage to her surroundings and to herself either. It may either be her soul-self manifesting so suddenly or voices simultaneously speaking and whispering since she can hear other's feelings. It often gives her a huge headache and distracts her from things.
fe9532721cd3046e16f0610f7d5dae77.jpg

Hangouts:
Iceberg Lounge - If the lounge is quiet or not too noisy at least, she can be found there reading some stuff

Martian Meditation

Studies:

Kryptonian Repository - If there's something Raven likes aside from creepy things, it's reading. Thus, the Kryptonian Repository is where you'll often find her (or not cause she stays at her dorm frequently)

Zatara's Mystic Arts Dojo - from time to time, she'd like to train herself and her magic. Although that may be rare since she only go there if few people to none are present.

Arkham Psychological Lab - she's a thinker and she agrees that before facing a battle, one must know her opponent first and gain the upper hand.

Dorm: R12 (her powers were deemed to be dangerous and since she can't contain/control it that well yet, supervision and observation is necessary.
69b8a45c609c5151007734b4d06bf159.jpg

History:
Raven is the result of the betrayal and hideous crime of Trigon, one of the most powerful interdimensional demon who thirst to conquer all worlds, and his chosen bride from Earth, Arella. Her mother tried to kill herself together with the life growing inside her but was stopped and saved by the monks of Azar. They took her in and young Raven when she was born.

A monk tried to throw Raven into an abyss when she was a little bundle of (...) joy but instead, he got destroyed by her powers. The Azarathian monks are aware of Raven's origin and capabilities thus, they taught her what to do and not to do at such young age. In order to stop her power from unleashing literal hell and her father's growing dark influence, she was forbidden to feel any emotions. No sadness, anger, envy, happiness, sadness nor love. She wasn't allowed to see or talk with her mother since then.

Years later, her mother forced her to flee Azarath and head to somewhere far. The monks and her fears were coming true and Trigon was coming to get Raven. The being which was her father was planning to cross dimensions to get her and conquer all worlds there. She headed to Earth to ask the Justice League for help.

Personality Traits:
Raven is a reserved and withdrawn young demon hybrid. She prefers to keep to herself and be alone (or maybe in the company of few people). No, she's not shy or anything it's just how she was raised. Although quiet, she won't miss the chance to make a sarcastic remark whenever she got the chance and make jokes that tends to be creepier than funny. She's a quick thinker and analytical, she prefers thinking first before doing something.

Aside from that, Raven has a secretly warm side that can only be shown to the closest persons dear in her heart. She's also a pacifist who dislikes the idea of violence but will rely on it if necessary nonetheless. She's also persistent and realistic minded.
Tropes:
Creepy Good
Bad Powers, Good People
Broken Bird
Lady of Black Magic
Emotion Suppression
Color: Violet
Writing Sample: "You're weak.."

Heavy and gigantic ruby-red colored hands tightened it's grip against her small body while she let out a strained scream in agony. With eyes squinting in pain, she still managed to look straight to the captor's eyes, her father's eyes.

"What is it that you don't get, Raven?"

She could feel the hot steam coming from deep below her where a fire hotter than any blazed and threatened her well-being. Her cold pained eyes met the giant demon's mocking colder ones, looking down at her as if she's just a lowly animal and he's her master.

"Give in and unleash your true potential- our power!"

The ground seemed to tremble with every words he would utter as she remained defenseless and useless in his literal hands.

"You're fortunate that you were blessed with such power. It angers and disappoints me knowing that you'd rather keep it hidden for the sake of weak mortal swines. With such power, we could take over this pathetic world in a blink of an eye."

He laughed as if what he said was the funniest thing to ever exists. She gritted her teeth in agony, "I will not give in, father." her eyes managed to gleam with such confidence, "You're not....real..! You're just.....an illusion...of my m-mind..." determination filled her voice as the hand which held her captive loosened and she was able to climb free from it.

"NOOOOOooooooooo!!!!"

Trigon's voice was distorted as he let out his final scream, a large puddle of darkness spread below him, swallowing him inch by inch until his arms which was reaching out to his daughter who was looking down at him tried to climb out and wrangle his daughter. Unfortunately for him, like the rest of his body everything of him disappeared into the darkness.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" her chant brought her back to reality, away from the dangers dwelling inside her dark mind. She gasped for air and put a hand on her head. There will always be a war deep inside her head, heart and soul. A war she always need to win. A war between her human self and her demonic patronage.

But right now, she needs to deal with her new school.
Damian Wayne/Robin

Username:

Superhero/villain Identity:
Robin

Real Name:

Damian Wayne

Age:

12

Gender:
Male

General Appearance:
5a1cc5d2dc6ff8adbd8bef0537347857.jpg

Damian has been told he looks just like his father did when he was his age, and in many ways this is very much true. Damian carries himself with the same confidence, the same drive that Bruce once did, and still does. He dons the same black hair, the same nose, and the same baby-blue eyes. However, that's were the similarities end.

Damian's skin is darker, more tanned, a product of his Arabic heritage. He is shorter then Bruce was at his age, and several years before it, much to the younger disgust. And his shoulders carry a slight defeated slump that his father did not gain until much later in life.

Powers/Equipment:

Damian has no powers, never has and likely never will (unless he dies and is raised back to life in the Lazarus pit yknow). However, this has never been a hinderence to him.

Damian had mastered several martial arts styles by the time he was taken in by his father, and has since trained in many more. He says that he knows as many styles as Batman himself, but the accuracy of his boasts aren't fully trustworthy. He is at peak human strength and speed, having been trained since he could walk. This aids him in acrobatics, which he is adept at, if not to the same extent the first Robin was. Due to his small size, and again training, he is able to be extremely stealthy. And, a unique skill among the Robins, he has incredible hearing. This is why he is allowed to wear the hood in his costume, he has proven he is able to fight with his hearing alone.

Hangouts:

He he has, by some miracle, been forced out of his room or studies he can be found in the Iceberg, reading or playing card games (by himself).

Studies:

Arkham Psychological Lab, The Flash Track, The Bat-Arsenal, Green Lantern's Gauntlet, Wildcat's Gym, Martian Meditation and The Amazon Arena

Dorm:

R22

History:
Damian was conceived after a particularly intense meeting between Batman and Tlalia Al Ghul, if you get where i'm coming from. Whether Bruce was aware of what he was doing or drugged, together he and Talia parented the next bearer of the Robin legacy. Damian was raised as a killer, taught to fight, hack, kill, and withstand all sorts of torture. All through practice. It is because of this Damian has a very distorted view of the world.

At 10 years old, Talia decided Damian was ready for his first job. She dropped the boy off at Bruce's manor, with only a brief description of who and what he was. As a boy who had been trained to be a killer since the moment he was created, Damian stood in stark contrast to past Robins. Talia wanted to make Damian a killer, the new head of the League of Assassins, and when she delivered the boy to Batman, she wanted him to cause disharmony and chaos in the batfamily. Instead, Damian, slowly but surely, became a hero.

When Bruce Wayne was believed dead, Damian Wayne took up the mantle of Robin and fought side by side with the new Batman — Dick Grayson. It was during this time Damian decided that he was most definitely on the side of good, and most definitely part of the batfamily. However, Bruce eventually came back, and came back to a rocky relationship with his son. Bruce still remembered Damian as the assasin, and didn't trust him. And Damian wanted, needed his trust.

They have been working together for a few months now, but still have trouble communicating, never mind working together to save the world. They are just too alike. And too different. And so, when the school was created, Damian was enrolled almost immediately. A good learning opportunity, Bruce had said. Damian, however, sees it only as Bruce's excuse to spend less time with him.

Personality Traits:

Rude
Stubborn
Self-Important
Surprisingly insecure
Violent
Paranoid
Occasionally pretty sweet
Naive (in some ways)
Animal lover

Tropes:
Creepy Child

• He is a devout vegan, and has been since he rescued a cow, the lone survivor of a slaughter house. Bat-Cow currently takes up residence in the Bat-Cave, with Titus (Dog), Alfred (Cat...and the butler) and Goliath (Dragon-Bat. Long story). Despite his best efforts, he was not allowed to take the, to school.

This was ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. Damian didn't need to go school. He didn't go to a normal school, and he most definitely didn't have to go to some Junior Justice school, or whatever it was being called. He didn't need help with learning to fight, he had been taught to fight since birth. He knew, he knew he would be much better then the other students there.

Oh god, the other students. There would be other students. He would be expected to be civil, to socialise. He shuddered. Next to him, at the wheel of the Batmobile, Batman looked at him, eyebrow raised. The question was obvious.

What's got your panties in a twist?

Of course, that's not what he said. Such a man as his father would never be caught saying such a word as panties. (Damian resolved to eradicate it from his vocabulary, mental or otherwise.) But it was there, sitting on his raised eyebrow and oh so slightly amused smirk, tugging on his lips.

Damian looked away. The sight was reminiscent of Grayson. A mere echo of the man he had come to think of as his real fath-no. He would not think such disloyal things. He turned back around, and sent a glare stronger then the one he kep on his face permanently. Of course, that only made the amused tilt of the lips stronger (Grayson had once told him his glares looked more like pouts. Damian had almost disemboweled for telling such lies).

"I will not go to school."

"Robin, you're a minor. I'm your guardian. You have to do what I say."

Damian couldn't help but notice (he had been referred to as a guardian, not a father) that the amused expression had been replaced by a weary one. He decided, following his advanced training in the art of persuasion, that this would be a conversation for another time. Preferably in the presence of Pennyworth. He turned away, already planning his next attack. Next time, he would be victorious.

The rest of the trip back to the cave took place in tense silence.

Or, a tenser silence then usual.

Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Username: BallisticBlue
Superhero/villain Identity: Nightwing
Real Name: Richard 'Dick' Grayson
Age: 17
Gender: He/Him
General Appearance:
Dick is a bright young man of 17 years, with black hair and blue eyes. He is extremely fit for his age, thanks to his time in the circus, then with Batman, and his extreme gym schedule. He also has quite a few scars from his missions as both Robin and Nightwing.
He stands at 5'10", and always presents himself with his shoulders square and his head high. Very rarely does he ever slouch, but some his family members have caught a tired Dick shuffling into bed after a hard night.

Powers/Equipment:
Nightwing has no powers, but makes up for that in his many skills. He is one of the best acrobats to grace the sky, looking completely at home falling and grappling from skyscrapers. Its flying to him, and with how effortlessly he moves in the air, no one dares to argue it.
Along with his acrobatic ability, he has been trained by one of the best since a young age: Batman. His skills of stealth and investigation are high, as to be expected of one of the members of the Batman family. He is skilled in several martial arts, though emphasizes Aikido and Eskrima.
Hangouts: Iceberg Lounge, Happy Harbor Beach, Wildcat's Gym... the dorm roof
Studies: Amazon Arena, Kryptonian Repository, Wildcat's Gym
Dorm: J22
History:
Dick was born and raised a circus boy, originally calling Haley's Circus his home. He was an trapeze artist like the rest of his family, and flying was in his blood. When the circus came to Gotham, they were approached by Tony Zucco and his gang, who threatened them unless they paid money to him. The owner refused, and later that night Dick watched as the wires snapped and his parents fell to their deaths.
Dick is later taken in by Bruce Wayne, who happened to be there the night of the accident. Not long after arriving to the manor, he stumbles into the Batcave after seeing Alfred come out from a secret passage, and sees Bruce's secret first hand.
From there, he begs Bruce to let him help, and the Robin persona is born.
A few years later, after being shot by Joker, he is put out of commission and unsure about returning to crime fighting. He seeks advice from Superman, where he gets the idea of the Nightwing persona. He feels he is ready to go out on his own, becomes Nightwing, moves out of the manor, and decides to also enroll in the Academy to brush up and gain some confidence.
Between applying and being accepted however, he is forced to take the roll of Batman after Bruce disappears. This forges a strong relationship with Damian, but also leaves him tired and questioning whether he really is as strong as he thinks.
Personality Traits:
-Dependable
-Snarky
-Overly Self-Critical

Other:
-Color is Blue
Writing Sample:
It was like any other morning for Dick; go to bed at three in the morning after patrol, wake up at 11, eat breakfast and watch some TV, then get the mail. This morning though, he was feeling particularly tired, and couldn't bring himself to get out of bed. at 11:30, he sighed and sat up, blinking as he stared at his bedhead in the mirror that rested on his dresser.
Last night wasn't even very exciting. The only difference was running into Batman. He had been confused why the Bat was even in Bludhaven, though he had said he just wanted to talk. It had spiraled into arguing, and Dick felt that had drained him more than any of the fighting had. Part of him longed for the relationship they used to have, but he also wanted respect, and for Batman to recognize his independence.
With a huff he stood, stretching his arms over his head before making his way to the kitchen. He turned on the TV to the news, then turned to the counter to prepare the breakfast of champions.
Couldn't go wrong with Lucky Charms, right?

After breakfast, the last order of business was the mail. He hurried out to get it, having a visitor coming soon, and didn't even look until he was back inside. When he saw a certain letter, he stopped in his tracks by the kitchen table.
The door opened just then.
"Dick I know I didn't knock but-"
"Jay, come look!!"

History:
Kara Zor-El is the last survivor of Argo City, which had survived the explosion of the planet
Krypton and drifted through space. The city had been covered by a plastic dome for weather moderation, devised by Zor-El, the younger brother of Superman's father Jor-El, a climatologist and engineer. The dome held together a large chunk of land mass under the city as it drifted through space in the general direction of the Milky Way.

However, the bottom-most layers of bedrock were affected by the explosion of the great planet's fissionable core and underwent a slow but steady chain-reaction, turning into green Kryptonite. Using raw deposits and refined materials at hand, the residents of Argo City laid down a ground shield of lead foil to protect them from the developing Kryptonite. Zor-El was also able to fashion a makeshift propulsion system to try to accelerate the city's approach to the Solar System.

During the roughly thirty years Argo City travelled through space, Zor-El met and married Alura, daughter of In-Ze, who in turn bore their daughter, Kara—blond like her parents. But before the propulsion system was able to steer the city toward Earth, a deranged citizen named Jer-Em, who was suffering from survival guilt, damaged the exhaust, veering Argo toward a swarm of meteors that crashed into the underside of the land mass on which it rested.

As the inhabitants of the colony were being slain by the green Kryptonite radiation released by meteorites shredding the lead barrier, the adolescent Kara was sent to Earth by her father
Zor-El in a rocket, to be raised by her cousin Kal-El (Superman). Fearing that she might not be recognized by Superman, Kara's parents provided her with a uniform which was closely based on the one Kal was wearing as the Man of Steel.

On Earth, Kara acquires powers identical to Superman's and adopts the secret identity of Kara Danvers, a resident of Midvale Orphanage. She conceals her blonde hair beneath a brunette wig and functions as Supergirl only in secret. Until she is able to track Superman down in person, who takes her under his tutelage, by inviting her to the Justice League academy.

Personality Traits:
--Inexperienced
--Reckless
--Overconfident
--Brave
--Supportive
--Sassy
--Stubborn
--Sensitive

Writing Sample:
Kara hovered gracefully in the air, embracing the sweet breath of breeze that flickered off her skin so delicately, it was calming and serene--the ability to fly--she never could have dreamt that, someday, she would be floating above an entire world of aliens, seen as a figure of great power, growing up on a floating city where everyday could be your last did little to encourage dreams. Yet here she was, gazing down across a vast expanse of spiralling stone wonders. An entire civilization, alive and prosperous, like great gears turning the cogs of life with effortless strength. the same could not be said of krypton, whose gears groaned to a permanent halt long ago.

As her hair flowed gently to the call of nature's breath, Supergirl cast her aim below, to her new home, the Academy A school, as Kal-El had told her, a place to learn, to make friends. Oh how she desired both, Kara had no family here, and from what she'd heard of Superman's crushing reputation he had no time to play father--or brother--to a lost little Kryptonian lamb. She was on her own, yet at least she had a chance to form her own bonds, with other like-minded "heroes" as well as some villains, such the Man of Steel explained.

With a final glance to the shining sun, coating the world in a bright orange shine of radiance, Kara smiled. "Time to become Supergirl... Huh, has a nice ring to it." She joked with a pointedly amused shrug to nobody but herself, cloak rustling in the wind as she travelled the skies, slowly but steadily towards a new home, and a new life.

The world is full of “Heroes” and “Villains.” “good” and “evil.” “us” and “them.” I am the gray between the two greater forces. Fighting for what's right, not a side. General Appearance:

Standing at exactly 6 feet, and weighing in at 175 pounds, Wally is quite toned and primarily fit for someone his age. However, this may be because of his accelerated healing factor putting his muscles in a constant state of cellular regeneration. In addition, Wally, obviously, has red hair and lime-green eyes.

Powers/Equipment:
Wally's primary power is his connection to the Speed Force. It's that simple. Although, with Wally's connection to the Speed Force comes a plethora of other abilities and powers. Ranging from enhanced strength, to bypassing the laws of friction. However, unlike Bart and Barry, Wally has an issue with passing through solid objects. When he does vibrate his molecules and pass through solid objects, one of two things will happen. He'll either get a nose bleed, or the object will explode. Moving on, Wally can summon his suit at will. His suit (as seen above) is made from pure Speed Force energy, and can be constructed just by thinking about it.

Hangouts:
Iceberg Lounge, Verdant, Happy Harbor Beach
Studies: Amazon Arena, S.T.A.R. Labs, Flash Track, Wildcat's Gym
Dorm: J13

History:
Being the nephew of Iris West, the fiancé to Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, Wally grew up in a small town called Blue Valley. Most of the time, he dreamed about living in Central City, mainly because of his emotionally distant parents. His childhood hero, the Flash, operated in Central City as well, which was also a factor in his want to move there. One fateful summer, Iris wanted Wally to stay with her for the summer. Happily, Wally agreed, and so did his parents. During his stay in Central City, Wally was introduced to Barry, who in return, introduced Wally to the Flash. The Flash informed Wally of how he acquired his powers, and soon...the same technique would happen to Wally. It was later discovered that the Speed Force used these "accidents" as a cover to grant super speed to people. A while later, Barry would reveal his identity as the Flash to Wally.
Personality Traits:
~
Kind-Hearted
~ Witty / Wise Cracker
~ Laid back
~
Charming
~ Cocky

Other:
Dialogue color is Dark Blue
Writing Sample: It was a regular day for Wally. He'd be sprinting around the city, in search for people who needed help. And like always, Wally found a couple of those people. Although, there was one incident that Wally would remember for a while. There was a report of a bank robbery, and within the minute, Wally appeared at the entrance of the bank. The robbers were dressed in all black, no surprise there, and were carrying semi-auto weapons. Right as the robbers turned the corner, and caught sight of Wally, the one robber on the right snatched a woman off the ground and pointed his gun to her head. He demanded that Wally leave, and in return, the robber would let the hostage go. This wasn't going to happen. "You know, this isn't the best way to treat the women in your life.", Wally hollered. And before the robber could speak, Wally broke into a super sprint, right in the direction of the robber holding his captive. Luckily, Wally reached him in time and quickly disarmed his weapon, along with the others. Now standing in front of the trio of robbers, Wally did a quick "lightning punch", basically focused his stored kinetic energy into his fist, and knocked out the captor. The other two robbers looked in awe as Wally grinned at them. So, they decided to attempt in escaping the speedster, but they didn't go far, as Wally had tied their laces together during the disarmament of their weapons. Chuckling, Wally sped away in the direction of his house.

Upon his arrival to his house, Wally retrieved the mail from the mailbox. After all, it was like...2:00 in the afternoon or something. Anyways, Wally made his way inside, where his mother and father sat in armchairs, reading. "Hey ma, hey pa." ,Wally greeted, and his parents greeted him as well. After distributing his parents mail, he retreated to his room where he would read his received mail. The majority of his mail was advertisements for colleges across the U.S. However, there was a letter that poked at Wally's curiosity. It was a letter about an academy for "junior" heroes. "Ah man...." ,Wally moaned with annoyance.

Michael gets caught and expelled from Gotham High which also causes Michael to kicked out of his home by his mother.

Michael ends up getting a night security job at a Metropolis museum where he learns about the superheroes of the 21st century. Inspired by what he learned about the 21st century Michael ends up stealing equipment from the museum displays with the help of the robot security bot named Skeets in order to become a rich and famous superhero in the 21st century.

The time sphere he stole from the museum breaks after Michael arrives in 2017 leaving him no way of returning back to his original time period. After a few days as superhero and a few sponsorships attained, Michael is approached by Superman to attend Justice League Academy. Michael agrees because it's Superman that asked him and because he thinks he'll get even more money from his sponsorships after he graduates.

Personality Traits: Michael's defining attributes are his self-confidence, strong sense of humor, and eternal optimism. Michael is clever but prone to making selfish, snap judgements without considering the consequences. His charisma and confidence would make him a natural leader were it not for his extensive and well-publicized history of poor decision-making.

We Will All Be History Buffs in the Future: Subverted. He doesn't actually know much about the history.

"Sir it's time to wake up, you don't want to be late for that important thing you have today". "5 more hours Skeets". **Zap** "I'm awake!!! I'm awake!! Stop zapping me!!" Michael takes a quick shower and puts on his suit before spending about an hour doing his hair.

"Hey Skeets how long has that blackboard been in my room?"
Michael says after noticing a blackboard that he had never seen before. "I'm not sure sir it just showed up somehow while I was offline recharging". Michael looks at the words on blackboard "Beware the league of shadows, Who is Donna Troy?, the torch bearer is back in green, Killer Frost = hero?, and I'm watching you. What is all that supposed to mean? And who wrote this?"

Jon is a bright, creative, and generally happy person overall. His morals and values align with that of his father's (Truth, Justice, Peace, and the American way). On the physical side of things, Jon has bright blue eyes, black hair that is always shaggy, and is quite slim. Little do people realize, but Jon is actually a hybrid. He is half Human and half Kryptonian
Powers/Equipment: {:} Keep in mind that Jon's powers can fluctuate depending on the mood he's in {:}
-
Kryptonian/Human Physiology:
~
Super Strength
~ Telescopic Vision
~ X-Ray Vision
~ Flight
~ Heat Vision
~ Super Hearing
~ Freeze (Ice) breath
~ Invulnerability (inconsistent at times)
~ Superhuman Speed
Hangouts: Ice Berg lounge, Verdant, Happy Harbor beach
Studies: Wildcat's gym, Green Lantern's Gauntlet, Kryptonian Repository, Zatara's Mystic Arts Dogo
Dorm: Justice
History: Jon was born during a multiversal cataclysm event after both his and his mother's lives were jeopardized by a mentally unstable counterpart of his father. Superman managed to get his family into safety with the assistance of an alternate Batman, who aided Superman in the delivery of his son. Later in his years, Jon's powers manifest when his pet cat Goldie is taken from him by a falcon. This prompted Jon to use his heat vision, which in turn, fried both the falcon and his cat.
Personality Traits:
~
Respectful
~ Cheerful
~ Truthful
~ Creative
Tropes:
~
The All-American Boy: A Middle Example, being a small-town boy who's sweet, polite, and more than a bit naive. However, he does have a cheeky side and he tends to be somewhat rebellious when no one's looking
~ Berserk Button: Taunting him over The death of his beloved cat
~ Farm Boy: Runs in the family.
~ Red Eyes, Take Warning: They're a sign that he's about to blast your face off with heat vision.
~ Brilliant, but Lazy: Despite being portrayed as the Dumb Muscle of the Super Sons (not helped by the fact that Damian is an Insufferable Genius and a Child Prodigy), Jon is surprisingly intelligent for his age when he puts his mind to it, solving fifth-grade math problems nearly instantly after not listening to the question, tinkering with Kryptonian technology under his father's supervision, and already knows how to drive a tractor and subsequently a truck, which he rams into the guy who was starting to overpower his dad. His foolishness comes more out of naivety, inexperience, and immaturity than any stupidity on his part. It also helps that he's around ten-years old and is thus not particularly invested in academia or otherwise using that brain of his to its full potential. As his teacher describes him:
Tony Martinez: [To Clark and Lois] You've got a great boy here. Quick thinking, always a few steps ahead, little bit of a daydreamer, but always respectful of me and his classmates. A real pleasure to have in class.

Writing Sample: Sweat ran down Jon's forehead as he continued to hammer together a bare barn. He had previously begged his father to allow him to construct this barn, after they had moved from California to this city. The day was at it's peak, it being the afternoon, and Jon's mother appeared on the porch of their house with two cups and a full pitcher of lemonade. She waved him over to her and he did so. "Hey, ma!", his voice happy and positive. "How's the barn comin along?", she asked, staring at the poorly made barn and smiling. Jon knew that he didn't do a pleasant job, but at least he tried. "I think I should take up a few lessons in carpentry.", he joked. Lois, Jon's mother, began pouring the lemonade into the separate glasses and handed Jon one. "Well, it's funny you say that,", she said while Jon chugged his juice, "because you've been asked to attend a school for special children.", she stated gleefully. Jon had finished his last swig of lemonade and looked at his mother curiously. "Do I have to go? It would be nice to enjoy these days without school.", he whined. His mother replied with, "Yes, you're going. Besides, your father will be there,", she exclaimed. "And so will Robin.", Lois mumbled.

If it's something super-powerful, she generally needs to practice and learn it beforehand or something could go horribly wrong. She can speak backwards much more quickly than most people can speak forwards, and some minor spells like lightweight telekinesis and basic illusions don't require any backwards speech.
Tropes:
Other: Dialogue text color "Indigo".
Password: Kralc Tnek
Writing Sample:

Zatanna smiled exitedly as she finished preparing a spell that she would use to enter her orientation meeting with Clark Kent.

"
Hey, Supes," she greeted him confidently.

Screw the Rules, I Have Magical Powers!: This will definitely be a rebellious, carefree version of the character.

fanaticalferret fanaticalferret Pretty much done now! I might make some minor edits but everything on the character sheet is filled out. I also have another character in mind if more people decide to join us, especially if we could use some trouble around the Academy...

Username: ThatDove
Superhero/villain Identity: Raven (so the answer is it's a bird)
Real Name: Rachel Roth
Age: 15
Gender: Female | She and her
POWERS

teen_titans__princess_of_the_underworld_by_kankitsuru-d64oqbx.jpg

School Stuff

Hangouts:
Iceberg Lounge - If the lounge is quiet or not too noisy at least, she can be found there reading some stuff

Dorm: Rogue Dorm (her powers were deemed to be dangerous and since she can't contain/control it that well yet, supervision and observation is necessary.
"PERSONAL"

"You're weak.."

Dorm:

Rogue

Insufferable Genius
Jerk With A Heart Of Gold
Troubled, But Cute
Troubling Unchkldlike Behaviour

Other: (anything else we need to know?)

• Text colour is maroon (idk, everyone else is doing it)

I can't say it. I'm sorry. Tony is amazing.

Or, a tenser silence then usual.

sevenstars sevenstars Yeah, you're welcome! I know that'll give me some help about how to RP their interactions. Want to keep that backstory?

If anybody is good at BBCoding on this site, please PM me. The coding keeps messing up and I don't know why.

Or if you know of a better way to sort and/or hide things than using Spoilers, let me know.

EDIT: I'm going to try using tabs. Maybe that will work better, maybe not.
EDIT: Tabs didn't work, now using accordion. it works. for the most part.
EDIT: I talked to a staff member and figured it out lol.

Very rarely does he ever slouch, but some his family members have caught a tired Dick shuffling into bed after a hard night.
f96e2cf627e2293790f4bc34333e3d16.jpg

Powers/Equipment:
Nightwing has no powers, but makes up for that in his many skills. He is one of the best acrobats to grace the sky, looking completely at home falling and grappling from skyscrapers. Its flying to him, and with how effortlessly he moves in the air, no one dares to argue it.
Along with his acrobatic ability, he has been trained by one of the best since a young age: Batman. His skills of stealth and investigation are high, as to be expected of one of the members of the Batman family. He is skilled in several martial arts, though emphasizes Aikido and Eskrima.
Hangouts: Iceberg Lounge, Happy Harbor Beach, ... the dorm roof
Studies: Amazon Arena, Kryptonian Repository
Dorm: Justice
-Reckless (Sometimes, usually for the sake of others)
-Loyal
Other:
-Color is Blue
Password: Iron Man sucks

(Cause just yes Jason)

Superhero/villain Identity: Ambush Bug
Real Name: Irwin Schwab
Age: 7. Yes, 7. Hey, I only got a birth certificate seven years ago, so I'll take seven.
Gender: Male
General Appearance:
latest

Powers/Equipment: My miraculous antennae put out robotic bugs that allow me to teleport to any of their locations with the snap of a finger. Also, my snazzy suit protects me from damage.
Hangouts: Everywhere. Teleporting, remember?
Studies: Arkham Psych Lab.
Dorm: Rogue, although the staff would rather I be in a padded cell in the basement. I want that too. I like bouncing off the walls.
History: Here, I'll quote it right from my Wikipedia page:
"His origin is disputed, although the most commonly accepted origin is that Brum-El (a historical allusion to Beau Brummel, as well as a reference to Superman's father Jor-El) of the planet Schwab sent his clothes from his supposedly doomed planet, hoping that his wardrobe would survive, only to have it intercepted by a giant radioactive space spider. In the resulting crash, only two articles of clothing survived: the Ambush Bug suit, which was subsequently found by Irwin Schwab; and "Argh!Yle!", an argyle sock with a Doctor Doom-like complex, complete with metal mask.[1]." I was a villian a bit after that, specifically to Superman and Supergirl, but then I got my very own comic line where I was a private eye, superhero, protector of Earth, and protecting the laws of continuity.
Personality Traits: I'm a bit of a rascal, what my good pal Batman calls a "complete psychopath". I'm a likable guy. I like Pina Coladas, getting caught in the rain, making dated music references, and watching cartoons.
Other: Nobody wanted me in this school (for some reason), but I managed to convince Batman that this was the place I would do the least harm, and at least it would keep me busy. Oh, Bats. Always a charmer.

Oh, dialogue colors? Well, somebody took green WHICH IS TOTALLY MY SHTICK, so I'll take... Pink. It accentuates my personality, don't you think?
Password: Iron Man Sucks. He's totally a ripoff of Spongebob.
Writing Sample: Kinda a downgrade, isn't it? Successful comic line to being in a forum roleplay online?... Okay, maybe not very successful.

Okay, maybe I haven't had an issue in 30 years, but cut me a break. I'm an old-fashioned soul. I belong in an earlier era, ya'know?
Well, wanna know how I got Bats to get me into the school? Easy. I showed him a copy of All-Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder. He made me promise not to show anyone. I didn't know he could look so red in that cowl.

Error 420 Error 420 Agreed with fanaticalferret fanaticalferret . And I'm sorry, but I don't see how I could portray her much differently either. She's always been a very attractive heroine and that cosplayer just looked cute, true to her character and young enough to at least pass as a teenager. She looked something like that in the comics when she was younger, so it's not really my fault.

So yeah, I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable in any way, but I'm gonna keep Z the way she is.

I will say, your character's pretty funny though!
