Character Description:
Makaio's style is a mix of Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark, a comfy but dressy feel. Makaio is often equipped with a long jacket and a white undershirt, seen through the unbuttoned jacket. He often pretends not to notice his odd sense of fashion though has been reminded on countless occasions.
Makaio's hair is usually put up in a spiky mesh of a beige-white color, a fade around his ear and lower neck area. His light brown skin tone is nicely complimented by his piercings as well as series of tattoos located on his arms and torso area. Not to forget his onpoint facial hair.
Personality: According to Mac himself, he doesn't like people or things he doesn't trust. He took a quick dislike of the Rogue on the grounds that he can see that she hides secrets from everyone else. He seems to take great pride in his scientific expertise, to the point of refusing help when carrying out important investigations, although the other scientific minds claim that he often dumps on them all the paperwork he doesn't want to do himself. Ironically, he disliked the X-Men at first because they consistently outperformed the entire police force, and believes that the Police Department has become lazy and lethargic as a result. However, after Rogue began trying to open up with Mac and worked on a case together, to which she would save him and later he nearly killed a child, only to be stopped by her, Mac began to see the "two" in a different light. Accepting that X-Men were a symbol of hope for the city, he also decided to give her a chance, becoming more civil.
Despite his tactlessness at times, Mac's perfectionist tendencies do serve him well in avoiding repeats of his past mistakes. Since joining the team, Mac has shown himself making considerable efforts to improve his social skills, though they often come at the expense of him making a fool of himself in the process, much to his chagrin and the occasional amusement of his newfound friends.
Mutant Powers:
Matter Absorption: Mac can absorb all materials, coating himself in the substance which allows him to take on its physical properties. He will proportionally increase in physical strength and durability to whatever he absorbed (e.g. metals, wood etc.)
- Superhuman Strength/Durability: By absorbing different materials, Mac can gain or reduce in strength and durability.
- Weight Alteration: Depending in what type of material Mac takes the form of, his weight can chance abnormally as well.
- Shapeshifting: Mac is able to shapeshift after taking form of the foreign matter. This includes making weapons and tools though the use may vary depending on what material he's absorbed.
- Tool Creation: Varying on what type of material he's absorbed, Mac is able to absorb and create different objects though a part of his body first releases the matter in a semi liquid state before re-solidifying it.
- Energy Boost: By absorbing foreign materials, Mac recieves an energy boost based on the amount absorbed.
Biology Expert: Mac has thorough knowledge of the human and animal biology and is able to use this both defensively and offensively.
Silvertongue: Mac is able to easily persuade people to do his biddig and is something of an actor.
Self-Defense: Not a straight up fighter but Mac can keep his own ground in a one on one fight.
Interests/Likes: Biology, Silk Cut cigarettes, trench coats, being respected
Weaknesses: When in a form of matter that can easily be broken, Mac is more vulnerable to being injured and/or killed.
When absorbing matter, the amount absorbed matters. Placing his hand on a wrench for two seconds could probably only coat three fingers in metal and so it is important that he absorbs enough matter from the objects he touches.
Equipment:
Mac is almost always armed with his carbon boyscout pocketknife as well as ball of rubber, in case any fighting goes on, he's got to be prepared somehow.
His golden Rolex watch is also always present and doubles as a screen that can be used to set of EMPs, send tracking devices, fire tranquilizer darts and access the internet.
