Finding A Purpose~ (REMAKE IC THREAD)

Here is the remade IC thread. Post whenever you guys are ready~

I shall be getting my own post out either tonight if not sometime tomorrow.~

The Dragon's Fortune rocked gently on the waves. The man o' war was at rest, it's sails furled away and the anchor was down. Most of the crew was lazing about, having already taken care of their duties and having nothing else to do. Or at least they didn't have the will to do it. Not right now at least. The only person that was attending to their job was up in the crow's nest, a goblin with a spyglass with most likely his own improvements on it sweeping the horizon for something, anything. They were sat right on a trade route, something had to pass by eventually. And once something finally did, it was the goblin's job to make sure the rest of the crew knew about it.

And where was the captain of the ship? Well, he had ordered one of his crew members to grab him something sturdy enough to sit on and was at the moment close to the helm of the ship, ready to grab the wheel and turn the vessel any way it needed to go. And on his lap was a large tabby. Well, compared to him it was almost a kitten, but to those of a more normal size it was obviously larger then the average cat. And it was happily sleeping on his lap as large fingers combed through the cats fur. That's right, the massive ogre and pirate captain of the Dragon's Fortune man o' war, was petting a ship cat. None of the crew was willing to risk laughing at the sight, but many grinned and held in giggles before quickly scurrying off to release the pent up laughter safely away from their captain.

~Izumi Takashi~

Standing at the very tip of the mast on the large pirate ship known as The Silent Serpent a single dark haired male had kept his arms crossed as he watched as another frigate had been sinking in the distance while The Silent Serpent had sailed away from the wreckage. The frigate that had been doomed had belonged to the King's Navy and had been sent out to scout the waters for nonhumans and to destroy their ships as well as kill them in the process; the one mistake they had done was to come attempt to attack this particular male's ship.

While he had stood there, it was only a matter of time that one of the crew members from down below had approached the mast to shout out the name of the male who stood high at the top; calling him by the title of captain and Izumi. Overhearing his name being called, the very male known as Izumi Takashi and otherwise the captain of the ship itself had soon directed his gaze downwards to notice as the men were calling out to him for assistance of where their next destination should be and whether or not they should stop by the nearby island to resupply on everything they needed. Without so much as a response for a moment or so, rather than shouting out an order from where he stood; Izumi had taken a single step forward just to let himself drop straight from the top to land firmly onto the wooden surface of his ship's deck, making sure that right before he had made contact with the surface he had sent his own energy directly through the base of his own shoes to make his landing all that more smoothly so that he would not damage the deck itself.

"Take the ship into dock at the village. I want all of you to immediately get to work on repairing anything you can and a group of you all to go into town and purchase whatever we might need." Informing the crew once he had landed onto the deck, the entire crew immediately nodded their heads and registered with an 'aye' that they understood their orders. With this, right after informing his crew of what to do; the dark haired captain simply began to approach his way to the crew quarters to as well as his own captain quarters to check on how much damage was done throughout the battle with the Navy ship, as well as curious to know how his first mate was doing after the battle.

Honey Himejia

Huddling in a the small corner of her room, a small girl with long blonde hair was presently scared. All around her were scattered maps, some of which were knocked down when the firing started happening. Her pet snake tried to comfort her as it coiled itself onto her head, hissing in her ears to soothe her. Despite appearances, this young girl was currently the navigator for the pirate ship named The Silent Serpent. This girl's name was Honey Himejia and she was an important role on this ship, however currently she couldn't do much right now. The smell of the gunpowder and the sounds of canons firing finally stopped, causing the girl to get up from her hiding spot. Guess the fighting stopped....I should get out of my hiding spot before Izumi has my head. Honey thought, feeling the boat stop tilting from the waves of the ocean beneath her. Honey has always hated fighting and tries to solve things peacefully, however things don't really go to plan when you are mute and cant explain yourself. Just thinking about her disability towards others, Honey sighed, slightly tilting her head to the side.

Her pet snake fell off her head, a loud anger hiss escaped from his mouth as he glared up at his master. She looked down, with a look of apology, she lightly touched his head then walked out the room. She closed the door behind her, knowing if any of the crew members found her snake then she was going to hear a mouthful from that person. Above her, on the desk, Honey could hear the other crew members work diligently to the orders of Captain Izumi. She was walking slowly towards the deck when she spotted the captain walking down the hall as well. Making sure that none of the other crew members were around, Honey brought both of her hands to her face, using her fingers made her mouth smile. It was silly but Honey wanted to cheer him on, anyway she could without exactly talking.

Captain Silver

"I wish i can see my family once more..." Silver wrote as the Eclipse Steadily plowed through the choppy waves. It was enough to make any normal captain spill his meal. But not Silver. Infact, he quite enjoyed it. As his father used to tell him "although the first few months out at sea will roughen you, you will find that as the second best thing to company, is the rocking of yhe ship." Then lightning cracked overhead, "thy storm is gettin' worse"  Herald thought. Closing his journal and downing his jerkin and hat, Silver got up from his seat and opened the door to his quarters. He was instantly greeted by heavy rain and violent wind which threatened to toss him over the deck, but his firm grip kept him in place. Timing his footsteps to the rock of the schooner, Silver made his way to the helm and shouted to the first mate who at this time was guiding the ship through the waves. Silver yelled to the crewman at the helm, "has yhe crewmate up top spotted any darn place to ride out yhe storm that be upon us!!?" Although his voive was barely audiable the firstmate yelled respectivelyin return, " no captian! The storm be shakin' us like a bat outa hell!!" Silver was just about to respond when the mate up in the crows nest bellowed over the storm, "LAND HOOOO!!!!!,,,"

Ritu - Dragons Fortune

In a private chamber sat the young woman, polishing a blade in hand.  Ritu having already cleaned her personal quarters saw it fit to clean the blades she used regularly.  After all, there was no excuse for going into battle with a dirty sword.  The cleanliness of a weapon reflected the skill of the warrior, that and Ritu had nothing else to do in her lonely room.  When the champion of cleanliness had first boarded the Dragon's Fortune she didn't have her own quarters, in fact she shared a room with three other men.  Their filth however disgusted her to no end, she could only endure three days before demanding a room to herself.  It wasn't easy but the young woman got what she wanted in due time.  The ever kind captain Buras gave her an old storage closet to call her own.  Old, dusty, dirty and filled with more cobwebs then one could count on two hands.  It was big enough to hold her in comfort, but needed a lot of work.

The room is a far cry from what it was before Ritu got to it.  It was clean now and usually well lit, it looked more like an actual quarter then a storage closet.  Everything was neat and orderly and the shelves filled with well placed nicknacks.  There was even a table with a tea set neatly placed.  There was no actual bed, but Ritu was fine sleeping on the floor with a blanket.

Her blade had been clean for a long time now, in fact it could not get any more clean, Ritu had done all she could and she knew that.  The clean freak had no intention of leaving her room and seeing the mess that awaited her in the halls and on the deck.  Just the thought of stepping into dirt or mud made her shudder.  On the off hand however, she could not stay in her room all day.  It was a clash of interests, but eventually the need for interaction won out, and Ritu braved the halls of the Dragon's Fortune.

It was just as messy as Ritu imagined.  She took careful steps throughout the halls, making sure not to spread any of the dirt onto herself.  As her crew mates passed by she made sure to give each a greeting.  Although they were all slobs her crew mates were good people at heart, she enjoyed their company greatly.  After many graceful leaps and bounds Ritu found herself on the deck.  She tried as hard as she could to ignore the mess.  Truly the ship was not all that dirty, but Ritu could hardly handle even the smallest amount of dirt.  As she walked on she noticed how happy the crew seemed to be today, everyone seemed to be laughing.  At first Ritu figured they had just sung a catchy sea shanty, but soon found out just what they were laughing at.

"Good morning Buras.  Good morning muffin!"  She greeted her captain, then the ships cat.  "Someone's in need of a bath it seems!"  Ritu got close and began rubbing the excessively large cat.  She got close to the cat's ear and whispered in a way so that Buras could hear.  "This time I think I'll make him use some lavender to hide his smell.  What say you muffin?"  The cat stole a gaze at Buras then looked back at Ritu, almost nodding it's head.  Ritu backed up.  "So you agree!"  Now Ritu could not help but to smile too.

"Captain."  There was a moment of silence as Ritu looked to be in thought, contemplating what words to utter next.  "Did you, sleep well?"  Ritu had never been good at starting conversation, and this was the best shot she could give.

@Beowulf

Buras didn't stop petting the cat when Ritu appeared. He paused for a brief moment, but didn't stop. Why had he accepted that bet? If he had a bit of luck that night, he'd have had one of her swords and he wouldn't have a woman as a first mate. But he was an ogre of his word, as much as this situation rubbed him the wrong way. That didn't mean he had to be nice about it, though. And her comment on him needing a bath made it that little much worse for her. Then again, he thought the storage closet would get rid of her yet here she stood. So she was stubborn, he'd give her that.

Growling at her mentioning making him using lavender, but he still remained civil. And when she asked how he had slept, he answered simply. "I slept." There, plain and simple. You either sleep or you don't, there's no other way to look at it if you ask him. "Much comfier in a bed then on the floor." He couldn't help it. No matter how small it may have been, there had been a quick jab to her pride. "Even if I didn't, when a ship comes along the cannons will make sure I don't collapse."

The redhead had gone off from his hometown, Edhellon, to explore the seas and discover new things. He, however, somehow crossed through the Sea of Ghosts. Though he has seen a few apparitions of fallen ships, that was that. Nothing perturbed him, and no ship had attacked the main dock. The redhead was Kian Zacharis, the captain of the ship, "Esther's Escort". As of now, he's training his brother, Kira, in target practice. Not with bows, nor darts, but daggers. Kian has already set up the target on one of the ship's wooden mast, and smudged the bull's eye with red paint. Kira holds three daggers by the handle in each hand, and begins to aim at the middle. Kian tried to motivate Kira, but it didn't quite work. "Kira! Think of red apples!" Kian yelled, and Kira grimaced in return, resulting in the dagger to hit outside the bull's eye. "Ah, oops.." Kian rubbed the back of his head, admitting that he has made a mistake in urging Kira to hit the middle. Kira gave Kian a cold stare. "Sorry, sorry! I won't disturb you anymore." Despite Kira giving Kian the cold shoulder sometimes, Kian remained polite and nice to his brother.

Two daggers were thrown simultaneously, and neither of them hit the middle. One stuck on the left, the other almost striking Kian on the head. Kira took the time to take a deep breath, while Kian panicked as he dodged, the dagger landing on the wooden floor of the ship. As Kian picks the dagger up, Kira threw two more daggers, this time with more accuracy. The first one hit the corner of the middle circle, while the other stuck to the next corner of the circle. Impressed, Kian clapped his hands and smiled at his brother. As he did so, Kira's cheeks went peachy red, and looked down.

As if trying to threaten Kian just because he complimented him, he threw a dagger close to his boots and missing by a few meters away from the toe cap. Kian reacted quickly and stepped back, slightly annoyed by what Kira has done. Kian, however, did not scold Kira, but instead chuckled. Kira, once more, gave Kian the cold shoulder, and went back to target practice. A few trials a have passed and yet, Kira still can't hit the middle. Kian called it a day, and Kira sat down under the mast. Kira yawned in exhaustion after all that target practice. Kian went back to the steering wheel, and spotted a familiar shore appearing from the faraway mist: the shore of Badun. Kian put his hand above his eyes, and the picture becomes clear. They have arrived, and the ship approaches the shore. Docking the ship carefully, Kian headed down the platform and lowered the plank to the way down. Kira watches his brother go as the plank lands on the sand with an audible thud. "I'll be at the marketplace, okay? I'm just going to purchase some apples and bread." And with that, Kian heads off with a cheerful wave.

Kira yawned once more. He had nothing else to do, and he kept himself still under the mast. He wanted to do target practice again, but he has already depleted most of his energy. With no choice left, Kira lowers his eyelids, and eventually slept. Some of the crew members looked at him oddly, but some just ignored him and went back to what they were doing.

Captain Silver

The land that the Eclipse arrived at turned out to be a massive island in the open sea.  Silver didn't complain though. He was just to exhausted.  Making his way up the mossy path that led through a deep jungle. He stopped and gazed in awe as a massive mansion loomed before him. Despite all of his instincts telling him to turn around, he entered the crumbling overgrown mansion. Gazing around the vast space Silver thought, "Who in god's name would need all this space???" Looking up to the ceiling, he noticed a chandelier with freshly lit candles perched in the candle cups. More lightning cracked overhead and some rainwater seeped through the rotten wood ceiling above them. Silver felt unsettled no, he felt disrespected. It was as if a ghost had said an insult straight to his face. Searching the room Silver noticed a stone bricked room and moved towards it. Opening the door carefully and stepping into the room, Silver fell asleep the second his head hit the bed sheets...

Ritu - Dragon's fortune

It didn't take a master detective to tell what Buras was thinking about sometimes.  The man wanted Ritu off his ship, and tried hard to dissuade her from staying on, but Ritu had a goal, and being on this ship was the only way to reach it.  That, and it gave Ritu some amount of sadistic pleasure causing so much discomfort for her captain.  At least some of her crew-mates were a bit more accepting.  The large ogre didn't take well to Ritu's bath comment, seeing this, Ritu smiled at her captain, cocksure and triumphant.  Just as she smiled though Buras made his verbal counter attack, commenting on how it felt nice to sleep on a bed.

"Touché" Ritu said back.  Honestly she quite enjoyed their small interactions.  Engaging in verbal combat with Buras was part of the reason Ritu could stand being on this ship.  Ritu admitted defeat by putting her hands into the air in surrender; a gesture showing she had been bested.  Buras may have won this time, but Ritu would make it a point to win the next bout.  The young woman took a seat near Buras.  Being on a ship was fun and all, albeit a tad bit boring.

"Come now captain, let's not be so sour.  Tell me what our itinerary is like today.  Are we going to raid a ship or head into port to-Hey!"  Before Ritu could finish her sentence she noticed a member of the crew drop and break a glass object of sorts, possibly a cup or something of the like.  For a moment it looked as though he was going to ignore cleaning it up, but Ritu had another plan in mind for the poor man.

"Clean that up, now!  I spent too long cleaning this deck last night for you to ignore your own mess like that!"  Seeing that he had no way out now that Ritu had noticed, the man swift began picking up the broken shards.  Not the best way to clean broken glass, but it works for Ritu.  In the end she was just happy some of the members listened to her, and even fewer respected her.  No one could deny the ship had never been cleaner, that was for sure.  With the mess cleared Ritu turned her attention back to her captain.

"So what's the plan cap?"

OOC: So sorry for the late responses everyone, work has been an overload for me to handle lately and followed by the fact I might be moving quite soon. I will still be around, but due to work I may end up forgetting to post by accident such as now. x.x Once again, my deepest apologies. ><

As the dark haired captain had made his way into the large interior of his ship to check on the rest of the crew as well as the entire ship to see what kind of damage had been done after the battle they had just gone through, through the walking, the presence of none other than his navigator had made an appearance as she had been making her way down the opposite direction that he had been walking. Noticing as the two of them had passed one another, right as he had made eye contact with the mute female; the sight of her making a rather interesting face had ended up causing the very reaction that was expected from the captain, laughter. Chuckling at the sight of this, Izumi had made sure to reach up and pat his navigator upon her head lightly before ruffling her hair playfully. "My dear Honey, the battle has ended. If you could, please head outside and instruct the rest of the crew to bring the ship into dock at the nearest town. We must resupply as soon as possible before we come into contact with any further Navy ships." Informing his instructor of what to do, although Izumi had known well enough that his navigator was not really one for speaking much at all; Izumi had made sure before venturing off anywhere in the sea that those who had joined his crew were to learn how to understand sign language if not read properly for the very reason of knowing who his navigator was.

After informing her about this, the dark haired captain had wasted no further time to immediately continue his way forward down the hall to head down to the lower deck of the ship where he had noticed as to how much of the ammunition was scattered all over the floor while many of the crew members were scrambling around to clean up everything and make sure to keep count of how much they had left. Nodding his head at the sight of this and knowing that his crew was fully aware of what they were doing, Izumi simply continued further around the lower deck making sure that the interior hull had not been breached or damaged too much that required immediate attention at the moment yet. Even if the ship wasn't in the worse of conditions, it was still going to need to be touched up and repaired back to it's full luster before Izumi would dare allow his ship to go through another full out battle against another Navy warship like that.

While hearing Captain Izumi's orders, a light blush appeared on Honey's face as she heard the words My Dear. She quickly rubbed her cheeks, making sure that the blush wouldn't show up as a sign toward Izumi. I need to work on not showing my emotions as frequent. My crew mates count on me to be precise in my measurements. Her mind wandered back towards the red beating of her cheeks. Honey pulled out her notebook from her pocket, the notebook had a pen attached to the sides of the spiral casing. She began to wrote down her orders given to her, making sure that her hand writing was eligible towards others. After she was done writing, Honey closed the notebook and placed the notebook back into her pockets. Feeling Izumi's hands on her head, she glanced up to see her captain rubbing her head with some type of affection towards her.

Honey made a sour face and tried to play the head rub off by fixing her hair after he was done rubbing it. She made a peace sign before scurrying off down the hallway towards the deck of the ship, her face looking like a red beat tomato. Once she was on deck, she made her way to the nearest crewmate and handed him her notebook, making sure that he could read her writing. The crewmate then yelled to the others, this was a simpler method rather than using her sign language talking to each person one by one. From there she watched as the others began to work diligently towards the Captain's orders, she could tell that they appreciate the Captain very much and value his leadership.

Chaos ~ Gunner Form

"Kuku, now this looks like a party." The blonde female gunner glared at the monsters all around her. She was currently on her last bounty hunter mission for awhile, taking a break would be nice every now and again. The monsters snarled as they began to circle the intruder that dared to enter their nest, the blonde stood there calmly. She had been in this situation before, this was just like clockwork to her. All her hunts were like clockwork, she didn't even have to bat an eye before her targets were dead. Next the alpha will attack from the right, therefore I should dodge to the left. Her prediction was right, the gunner quickly dodged to the left to avoid the Alpha's attack. The blonde twirled her gun, a low hum of yellow energy appeared around the weapon, towards the beast and fired two shots, one towards the skull and the next to the heart.

Blood spots were all over her clothes, a sickening grin appeared on her face as she stared at the alpha. The other monsters howled at the loss of their leader, the leader's body laid still as it gave it's last breathe. The other monsters then turned to the murder and all at once began to attack her, this intrigued the blonde a bit because this was different from her other hunts. "Shall we begin the bloody death dance?" The blonde pulled out her sword, cutting down the nearest monster that tried to attack her. While the other's were distracted, she raised her sword and slashed down the other monsters, making them howl in pain as she delivered blow after blow towards their bodies. After the last monster fell onto the floor, the girl sighed and sheathed her sword once more; her bloodlust disappeared after calming down.

Buras stared at the man as he picked up the shards of glass, careful he didn't step on one with his bare feet. Well, at least they listened to her. And they listened to him. And he knew Ritu was listening, otherwise she'd have been thrown off the ship at the first port they came to. So in the end, if he wanted to he could completely ignore her and do everything himself. In fact, he could order his crew to ignore her and make a mess of the ship. That would drive her off the ship for certain. But he didn't feel like walking around on a ship littered with garbage.

"The plan is to wait for a ship to come by and then we catch it and take all of it's cargo. Goboro is up in the crow's nest with his spyglass. If there's a ship near us, he'll see it." Buras told her matter of factly. "And then we're going to go to port and sell what we just got so I can pay the crew and buy more of what we need." He'd have to do the latter whether they got anything or not. But that would mean the crew would have to go without pay, and who knew how they'd like that. "Do you have a better place for us to sit? I'm all ears." he told her sarcastically, feeling confident in his knowledge of trade routes.

The water was calm, eerily quiet despite the ships that would pass by. While the surface was occupied by the surface dwellers and the occasional ghost ship from the past. Deep within the waters of the Sea of Ghosts, was the ship graveyard. It looked as if it was in ruins as it rested at the bottom with the other unfortunate ships. The masses of the ships stuck out from their watery graves, their only companions were now the fish and other sea dwellers calling them home. Many of the ships were made of wood from all over, the once beautiful ships were now just piles of rotting wood, forgotten by time. With this collection of dead ships was an unusually large ship.

The ship itself appeared to be a wood-like mess just like the rest, but something was different bout it. The ship had large masses with deep and violent red veins pulsating along the side. The ship, honestly, looked like it was split in half. The mass was pointing up towards the surface of the water while the other half looked like it was resting against the rock formation. The cloth sails drifted within the water, it was almost haunting to see it. What was weird about the ship was the strange half circle formations all around the ship. While thy didn't look like they moved, they shifted with ease and even let out a faint glow.

All around the ship, at least outside of the ship, there were the souls of the lost. Those who had lost their lives to the sea. The place they called home. Many were angry while others wanted nothing much but to return to their true home. Many of the ghosts were drawn to the creepy looking Man O' War. Many even feared it since they believed the saw the ship breathe. The red veins pulsated brighter, the source of the light flared to life as the ghost came aboard, not to see a wreck, but to see the ship was beautifully handcrafted. The wood looked very clean, the atmosphere was very warming despite being underwater. The were people already aboard and they looked happy.

As the crew of the ship tended to the newcomers, the one in charge emerged from her quarters, hovering off the ground as she flew across. Many of the ghost seen her and were enchanted. It was obvious she was the one who commanded the crew. Her hair was long and a flowing silvery white color. Her skin a light shade of blue with violet colored eyes scanning the area. Her dress was black, but the bottom looked like it was keeping the blue flames trapped, keeping them from escaping. Perfectly sphere-like. The young woman looked towards the newcomers and just smiled towards them, bowing her head slightly. "Please, enjoy your stay on the Whispering Gatekeeper. We will make sure you are comfortable as you return to your eternal slumber." It was all she said before making her way to the area where the wheel.

The newcomers whispered amongst themselves as she left. Knowing where they were now. The Ship of the Dead, The Whispering Gatekeeper, and the captain herself, Silver Gravekeeper. Once she was at the wheel, she looked up towards the surface and placed her hands behind her back. The wheel creaking on its own as the ship groaned for attention. Silver shook her head before placing a black-gloved hand over one of the knobs, chuckling a bit. "You are so needy Teddy. Take up to the surface, please. I believe the guests would like to see the sun once again." She said with a soft tone before the ship sighed contently from the touch of its mistress and rumbled. The ship was moving on its own. Many of the ghosts were scared as the ship rumbled and started moving upwards. The crew kept the newcomers calm as the ship slowly but surely made its way up. It wouldn't be long until the Whispering Gatekeeper broke the surface as the large mass stuck out the water and a loud groan escaped the ship. Loud crashing noises from the ocean echoed through the halls of the ship. A large fog surrounded Gatekeeper as it drifted slowly but surely through the large waters.
