WW2 Nation RP

OOC chat. Shoot the shit, talk about the history, scheme, reserve nation slots, etcetera. Try to keep OOC things here and not in other tabs.

Yeah, I do. I'll try to keep everything here. If you want to play games over voice, a forum is not exactly the best place for it, I've found.

You got it, Pudz

Alright General. I'll let you take care of it, I'd rather not fill up one team immediately. I'll swap over to the Japanese. If you want some good ideas, take a look at Lost Victories, the book by Manstein, if you want ideas for changes.

First off, to Forum Roleplaying or Roleplaying in General?

Second, don't go around posting stuff on these tabs, stick to the OOC for now, just to get yourself acquainted.

God, I need to do loads of research now. I know so much less about japan than I do about the european powers. Fuck a duck, this RP has all of a sudden made me do like a day of reading.

Just... Calm down. If you want, you can PM me with questions about them. I know a considerable amount of info on World War 2 and its sides.

What sort of info would you want me to add to this because most of my knowledge of ww2 is mostly on germany and russia

and some on italy

Oh really now?

Tell me, what was Operation Barbarossa and what was the result?

Requirements, Puzder, is:

a date and time, hopefully not too far ahead of the previous person's post, unless spurred on by me. I'll try and keep the pace of the RP going, and slow it down and speed it up to aid the story.

Accurate historical basis for actions to start with, and logical continuations on previous posts later. I'll resolve most things in private conversations, and I guess if people really cannot come to consensus I'll arbitrate

Either an in-character post, or a fictional piece of primary evidence, hopefully greater than two paragraphs, but I'm not all that picky. By that I mean, feel free to not just write out a scene where Churchill talks to Montgomery, I encourage witness testimony, newspaper reports, or a million other interesting ways to get information across.

result: failure, operation barborossa started in 1941

there were 3 army groups, they want to attack strategic resources like ukraine and moscow

General, okay... Can you improve your Grammar a bit, please? I'm not trying to be a Grammar Nazi or anything! It's just that in any Forum Roleplays on here, you have good Grammar.

Puzder, don't worry, I think I got this covered. Like any good militay history major, WW2 gives me a big ol' boner, and I think I'll be able to brush up on the minutia of the pacific theater at a leisurely pace.

General, a series, titled "WW2 in Color, was grand and rather well sourced, though a bit more sensationalised than I would deem accurate. Their opinions on materiel quality was also suspect, but other than those slight issues it is a great and highly entertaining resource.

Also, please, for the love of god, do not cover the entire eastern front in half sentences each given their own post. You'll go through a hundred pages before you're done, and no-one wants that level of clutter.

Also, Pudzer beat me to it, but good grammar is required. If it hurts to read something, you're on the fast track out of the RP.
