Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Hello fellow hunter of RpN!


We should all come together as one and hunt the foul beasts!! Up grade weapons and armor! Fight like no hunter has fought before, like the brothers and sisters of combat before us! People will sing songs or our great deeds!


But seriously, I just go MH4U and would love to hunt with some peeps!

I just got it, so I am still HR1 and crappy in the armor and weapons department. I have mostly been using the Great sword and the Long sword -cough-LooksLikeASpear-cough-

I will say this: do the single player story. As far as I'm noticing, you NEED to do the story or your came can have a fit when you get later on in the online rankings. I'm a Switch Axe user and, since I haven't done much story and more online, I'm missing a BUNCH of weapons I should be able to craft by this point - despite having the carves to craft 'em.

Bow user here. Sleep coating a monster and setting up bombs right in their face is extremely satisfying. Paralyzing them and watching the rest of the team just go nuts while it twitches in place is amazing. Really love the debuff effects in this game, haha. Big downside is that as of late I've been finding myself gathering mats more than actually hunting. Scatterfish in particular, been using a lot of Barrel Bomb L+.


Currently HR4 with the next urgent quest unlocked in multiplayer. Working on seven star missions in single. So, I'm right around the beginning of high rank at the moment. My progress has slowed down a bit since I started really getting back into Smash and have been chipping away at other things like Majora's Mask and the Phoenix Wright Trilogy, but I'm more than happy to assist anyone who may want help. Shoot me a message if so.

Pretty much. Not to mention you get a lot of small things that help make hunt preperation a lot easier, such as the cooking spit within villages and the item multiplier. I at least recommend getting the main quests done up to the end of five star.

Grin is right to an extent. It is only through the story you can get the magical Wystones, which without you really should not fight Apex monsters in online G rank otherwise. Or you will die. Horribly.

I'm sitting at G1 for now doing the story in Hero's (Link) armor for the caravaneer challenge later and to get the wystones before I tackle online G.
