Princess Alia

I'm afraid I'm not here to chat-Here's my character details:

The Princess

Alia Leanora Del Surmin, sixth child of King Toral of Sur’min’ra’a. As the youngest and only female she grew under a veil of privilege. Rebellious, opinionated, and the source of any social uproar, Alia was unlike any of the palace’s residents. Her celebrated mother, second wife of the king had won over the monarchs attentions with her cruel beauty. The island heiress had it all from dark sultry eyes, a slim nose, to soft pouty lips, inspiring all sorts of perversions. Alia had inherited her mother’s face, or so they said. Her gypsy curls however were a gift from her father, fitting her right under the Surmin’s mark. The family consists of five elder brothers Alia’s half brothers-The eldest Noah. The Twins Darius and Daryoon, Isaac is the fourth born, and Ram the youngest of the bunch.

The Past

She still dreamed of steel slicing through flesh, the image of her father falling to his knees before the blue cloak. She had been five when it happened, hiding behind the canopy of her father’s study- a child’s attempt at surprise. Only they did it before she could even move. Next came Darius- Brave Darius, he did not see the man run. He stopped cold when he spotted the blood, the body. It was the only time she had seen her brother weep.

The Present

Celebrated as a muse, and a patroness of the arts. Alia has grown as a product of wealth and luxury. Her life consists of fabulous fashions, the latest volumes to cover her every interest, parties and an endless parade of cliques that come running to every soiree she sets in motion. She is the embodiment of an 'it' girl, whatever she wears- half the country will be seen wearing the next day. The shocking things she says to diplomats and her many high standing suitors are often repeated through gossip to the annoyance of her older brothers.

The Goods/Writing sample

The light footfalls of her highness resonated along the empty halls, the guards at the doors did not move as fine ornate doors crashed behind her. “Unbelievable!” she called, small fists at her sides. “You know how I loath that cockroach! You knew, yet you let him believe I would actually marry him?! Me? With that?”

The reigning prince of Sur’men’raa touched his temple, his headache was just beginning and his sister looked like she’d actually find pleasure in seeing his pain. Truth, he did notice the Senator of Duril’s interest in their so called ‘Flower’- a beauty she was most certainly was, but hardly anything close to a flower. He envisioned her with thorns, that would make one bleed after close contact. His sister’s face and other ‘assets’ certainly managed to bring many spectators to their scene, and she had enjoyed it for a time- but that quickly died away. Women, in his experience quickly changed their minds about things. “He has more gold than you could even dream of, my dear spender. Your latest ruby necklace cost us a setback at the treasury, I had Daryoon here yesterday in fits! With your shopping habits a man would need to be as rich as Midas.” Noah said, seating himself down upon the brocade seating. “Well, with the lavish parties you keep throwing I’m bound to go out for periodical wardrobe changes, or would you rather I come down the stairs like one of your girls? With barely a thing? I’m sure I’ll catch a bigger fish than that disgusting little man.” She said with a toss of her hair, her chin out, her dark starry eyes flashing fire. “Alia.” He said quietly, drawing her face between his palms, “Challenge me again, and I’ll have you locked in with that ‘disgusting little man’ to have you as he wishes.” He murmured. “Y-you wouldn’t!” She choked. “I would.”He replied shoving her away from him for that slight she might give their name. He had come far from that young royal who followed his father about like a dog, he was his own person now, and he’d die before he let his baby sister boss him around.

“Now be a good girl and run along.” He continued, ignoring the tortured look she gave him. It gave him great pleasure to see her off in a completely different state from how she first entered, his guards had witnessed it too. He was running a whole country, his sister was nothing in the process. In truth, he had no idea why she seemed so upset; no idea that their princess had someone else in mind.
