  Welcome to the character application thread! I'm so happy that you're here! As stated on the main page, all spots are open. I will be taking one, but I’m not sure who, so go at it- I wanna see your creative interpretations and ideas. Again: non-binary, trans, LGBT+, and diverse characters are absolutely allowed.
  
  As far as backstories for the bionic siblings go, their ‘dad’ was never especially emotionally available- they call him by his name: Ethan. While they are close, he’s more their creator than a father. He made them in a lab; they are human, so they share genetics with Ethan making them biologically his kids, but they also have wiring and coding in their bodies. At the beginning of the RP, they know nothing about the real world aside from what they’ve seen on TV. Do with that information what you will.
  
  Remember that the genders written in the character bios are changeable; personalities are open to interpretation, but powers are not changeable and you cannot add on more than what's been listed. Please reread the bio for the character you're interested in as I've added at least one new power for everyone.

  A’s not the brightest. No really, he’s not bright at all. Blissfully ignorant, model-status, always up for a good prank, and unaware of sarcasm, A is surprisingly the mama bear of the group. Despite having no common sense, he’s surprisingly emotionally intelligent.   C’s a super-genius. He remembers practically everything about anything and anyone- his vision can be overlaid with a computer program at any time he wants. He can also summon force fields and has super-hearing. However, he suffers from anxiety; his programming can easily be overloaded, causing him to go into ‘Commando’ mode, which we'll get into more later.   As you may have noticed, there are only four character spots available and they’re all open. I’m going to be taking one, obviously, but I honestly have no idea who I want to play. Ideally, I want to see a ton of creativity in your character sheets (whenever I get around to setting up the thread).
  
  Genders are 100% flexible (I based the pronouns in their bios off of their genders in the show); personalities are kinda flexible, but their powers are locked in- and they’ll be discovering more as the story unfolds. Don’t get attached to any faceclaims you choose as the bionic siblings need to look related in some capacity- I won’t be picking them for you cuz that’s no fun, but we’re gonna have to work together to get some familial resemblance. ‘The human’ is the only exception.

  Advanced literacy and a love for plotting are required. I’m not expecting daily, or even frequent posts, because we all have lives, but I’d like you to be an avid ooc chatter! Aesthetics are also appreciated; I like including gifs and outfit links on posts. Quality over quantity! And we will all be playing multiple characters. Who you apply for will be your main, but you’ll most likely be shadowing as other characters, we’ll all be writing as the parents at some point- especially since the bionic teens’ father has a lot of interesting history.   Briar is a wild spirit, she likes to break rules and be loud about it. She is sarcastic and clever, not being one to hold back a punch. She is an explorer at heart that is deeply hurt by being trapped inside the lab, unhappy and stir crazy. Briar has a passion for music and uses it as her outlet for all her more violent emotions, rather than taking them out on others like when she was younger. She loves hanging out with her siblings and developed a habit of leaning towards more masculine interests.
  
  Briar is very awkward with others girls because of her lack of interactions with them when she was young, but she thinks girls are incredibly pretty and gets flustered every time she talks about them or with them. She sees herself as one of the boys and sometimes forgets that she isn't.

  Briar was raised just like both of her siblings, in a boring lab training their bionic superpowers. Briar was very reckless during childhood and still has that trait, using her abilities to attempt parkour on absolutely anything she can get her hands on, leading to many incidents in her youth where she got badly hurt. She often didn't understand why they had to stay in the lab and has attempted to escape numerous times.
  
  Being the only girl in the group, she had experiences the others really... didn't. Leading to a perceived gap between her and her siblings.   Carter stands at about 5'3" and weighs about 105 lbs, both of which are rather low for his age. His build is rather scrawny, and he struggles with many physical activities due to his somatic limitations, though his 'Commando Mode' does seem to override this by temporarily granting him superhuman strength.   PERSONA \\
  On the surface, Carter seems overly worried and stringent, and perhaps a bit stuck-up. While it's true that he excercise caution and can be overly responsible in some situations, he does so only because he is anxious of the consequences when he isn't so vigilant. Despite his nervous behavior, Carter is invaluable to the team- he has the uncanny ability to size up any situation, making him one of the first people to jump into action during a mission and get everyone where they need to be. Along with this, he is the type of person who thrives on being in complete control of a situation- whenever Carter feels as though he's no longer in control, he can often experience severe anxiety.
  
  Carter is prone to getting overstimulated- while he's learned to adapt to loud sounds due to his bionic hearing, being overexposed by other senses or multiple senses at once can easily overwhelm him and cause him to mentally 'shut down', needing to take some time to himself to 'recharge'. He also tends to 'zone out'- whenever he gets concentrated on a task, he can get stuck in his own world for hours until completion, and it's extremely difficult to snap him out of it. Along with this, Carter hates to be interrupted- being taken out of a task by his siblings often ends in a screaming match, or worse. While he'd never admit it, Carter is rather curious about getting to experience 'normal' high school life, despite his reservations.

  Carter is the product of a new method of bionics compared to his siblings, explaining the rather large age gap between them. While this new process did make his bionics much more effective, it had the drawback of severely hindering him physically. Carter physically developed much slower than his siblings, getting sick often and not putting on a lot of weight, though his bionic enhancements meant he was leaps and bounds ahead of normal children mentally. As he got older, though, Carter started to display some odd traits- he'd often ignore his siblings' requests to play, repeated odd behaviors, and only talked about subjects that he got deeply interested in. Ethan wrote this off, however, as Carter seemed to be receptive to training and his abilities were developing normally, so he'd assumed it wouldn't affect him in the long run. As Carter got older, he quickly learned to master his bionic abilities, though his physical state continued to lag behind that of normal children. Because of this, Ethan decided to create a defensive mechanism he dubbed 'Commando Mode' for Carter- an altered physical and mental state that shoots up his adrenaline levels and gives him a temporary strength boost and aggressive personality in order to help him escape a physically demanding situation. Carter was originally opposed to this, but after repeatedly showing physical shortcomings during training- and some teasing from his siblings- he was forced to agree to the app, albeit begrudgingly.
  
  Most of Carter's life was spent either training or in his capsule. Though he eventually started using novels as a means of escape from the tiny world Ethan had forced the siblings into since their creation, he knows he can only get so far in training by running the same simulations over and over, and the longing for taste of the 'real world' is never too far from his thoughts.

  While Carter treats Ethan more professionally than most children treat their fathers, they still share some affection towards each other. Being the most mentally adept of the trio, Carter is able to talk science and gadgets on much the same level as Ethan, and they often have much more to talk about compared to his siblings. While Carter won't admit it, he does gain a sense of pride from Ethan's approval, which is part of the reason for his stringent and overly responsible behavior.
