Uh, hi, I'm Kandy, I'm 15 and I'm in GMT-5. I used to roleplay a lot a few years ago, but I eventually just sort of stopped. I've decided to try and pick it back up and ended up finding this site by scouring the internet! Just at first glance I'm already really excited to get into everything.

I generally like any type of roleplay, I'm not all that picky. In my free time, I do a lot of writing and reading, so I definitely have a lot of creativity bundled up inside of my head. I also like drawing, baking, and I play a lot of video games, as well as Dungeons and Dragons. I also have a pet cat!

I'm always up for a chat and I can't wait to start roleplaying (again)!
 
I've been rp for about 20 years now. I first started in AOL chatrooms, eventually leaving and graduating, if it can be called that, to an e-mail thread. The fact that those chatrooms kept no backlogs of what happened in them never sat right with me. It is rp, it is story-writing. Part of the fun is looking back and reading the story you've had a hand--or rather two hands, as we are typing after all--in writing. Anyway, life happened as it does to us all, and I, unfortunately, lost contact with the individuals involved in that thread. There was a time there that I was lost in the wasteland of no rp. I could feel the characters I'd created scratching, clawing at the inside of my mind to be free once again. Eventually, I came upon a forum-based website called Allpoetry.com--not that I'm advertising. No, the rp there is all but dead nowadays anyway. Which brings me...here. This site is the top of a few 'best rp forum' lists and I'm not ashamed to say that is the extent of my shallow knowledge thus far as it pertains to this site, its systems, the settings, etc.
As for what genres I find myself drawn to, that's a bit of a complicated question to answer. I'll just say that I suppose it depends on which of my characters I'm playing at the time. Generally, I'd say I'm drawn to the modern/semi-modern/near-future for a time setting. Though if I were to pick a time setting I DON'T venture into very often, I suppose my weakness there would be medieval.
And, just for fun, two truths and a lie...
1. I've been struck by lightning, twice. Not back-to-back or anything. Two separate occasions. Still, doctors were baffled. One of those freak things that they have no explanation for as to how I'm still alive. I like to joke about it and say I've survived the wrath of Zeus AND Thor. Some might take offense to that, and say I'm angering them by thumbing my nose like that. And to them, I ask...if you're right...why haven't I been hit a third time?
2. Minecraft is awesome. Being a new dad, I enjoy video games when I have the time. And, while I do enjoy other games like Destiny 2, The Division, Nier: Automata, Dauntless, the Arkham series of Batman games, and others, I find myself unable to pull away from Minecraft and its zen-inducing soundtrack and gameplay loop for too much longer than a week or so. Like a good addict, I keep coming back.
3. I'm a huge Batman fan. Not that I'm a lore bunny about it but I definitely do enjoy the characters and stories presented in that lore. And if my username being an alternatively-spelled synonym for 'insane jester', and my pointing that out right here, isn't enough to get that point across...well, I just don't know.

I'm a cosplayer, I write occasionally, and I absolutely love to watch anime and read manga in my free time. Although, as of the past 3 years I've been super into roleplaying. It's something I find super fun, and I feel that it's a pretty awesome way to meet and make new friends!
A friend of mine actually told me about this web site, and I could help joining almost immediately, lol 🤣. I hope to meet some awesome people on the this site, It's great to meet you all ^^!

First time trying an actual RP site, before this I just stuck to close-knit group RP between friends, but seeing as how they've fallen out of the loop it falls on me to sate my RP cravings from time to time. Can't wait to get started and meet new people!

I've been roleplaying for about five years now. I'm always looking for another roleplay to be apart of and maybe make new friends out of it. I mainly roleplay fantasy type of rps, romance, boy x girl, girl x girl. I do sometimes do a roleplay within a fandom and do character x character, but I really love making new characters to roleplay with. Outside of roleplaying, I do make a lot of art, watch a lot of YouTube and play video games. I'm Dan! A 23-year-old female whose been roleplaying since prepubescence. I started roleplaying on a site by accident and long-story short, it's what got me into 1x1 roleplaying for a long, long time. My experience with rping is overall positive. I've ran into a few bad apples, but I guess that's just common? I'd like to say I have somewhat experience in roleplay and still am learning new things with each partner. Oh! I don't know if this matters, but I tend to write in details and like longer-term roleplays. I don't mind short-term RPs though! One last thing, I'm not entirely new to forum roleplays/group roleplays either & I hope to do more of those soon :)

I'm not a picky chooser when it comes to genres. Like everyone else, I do have my preferences. I typically like to delve into Action, Crime, Mafia, Apocalyptic, and Fantasy genres. Aforementioned, I don't mind roleplaying other genres either - it actually helps me explore other options I've not yet the chance to do so.

Hobbies? I'd say I'm quite boring. I tend to watch mostly Netflix, read books (currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird), and typically play gacha games on my phone and Indie games on PC. Sometimes I write too, but nothing extraordinary :)

I've decided to join because I'm itching to scratch my need for more roleplays. With Ms. Rona out and about, I've had a lot of time dropped into my lap and am looking for ways to occupy myself with it.

As for a more personal taste into my life, I am a maid. That's right, a maid of six cats. You can call me your local crazy lady, but at least I'm not entirely alone! And that's about it. I'm as plain as your local librarian. Thanks for reading ^^ I hope we can roleplay soon :)
 
What's up guys? It's ya boy, GallantDisciple. I usually go by KastoffCloud, but decided to try a different user for this sight. I've been roleplaying since middle school, both in person and online. I started with random chat sites, and then got my friends into it by hosting choice based game sessions. I'm an avid dungeons and dragons player, and (not to brag) have gotten more than one round of applause from my acting at the table. Most of my experience is one on one, but I have some limited knowledge of play-by-post. I can't really think of what else to add, so if you have any questions, feel free to pm me I guess.

I am looking to roleplay scifi, fantasy or cyberpunk based roleplays for funsies. I can create my own character or I can roleplay characters based off video games, books or movies/tv series. I've been roleplaying only with friends and doing tabletop RPGs for about 15 years or so and miss the fun and creativity of it all (especially with the boring job I have now). I love to playing video games, read book and sleep in my spare time. I'm joining RpNation because I work at home for a call center and it is not stimulating at all. I get to the point where I'm so bored I can't even think. I feel like if I start roleplaying again between calls and just have something to keep my mind active I won't mind the job as much. It pays too well to quit right now.

Hello everyone! My name is Persephone and I am 23, almost 24 (and dreading reaching the quarter of a century age mark). I used to RP privately, in both a group and one-on-one Roleplays, but I fell out of the hobby after falling out of contact with those friends and had trouble finding new people I enjoyed writing with. I used to exclusively RP in fandoms, but then I picked up the hobby of writing my own original stories and now I rarely even touch fanfiction (unless I'm reading it). Recently, I've had a lot of struggles in my writing journey and have decided to try going back to my roots. I'm unfamiliar with Roleplaying on forums and I only have experience RPing with other women, but I'm excited to potential try something new!

Aside from writing, I enjoy playing video games in my spare time. I spend a lot of time on The Sims 4 where I'm developing the start of a legacy, though it's less of a challenge and more of a creative venture to play with different characters than I normally play with. On top of that, I also am a big Mass Effect and Dragon Age fan, with some bits of Fortnite sprinkled in here and there. I've recently been on a kick for interactive stories though, and am currently reading/playing Samurai of Hyuga: Book 3.

I'm also very open to making new friends, RP buddies or otherwise, so don't be afraid to shoot me a message. c: (And if you actually read all this, then I just want you to know that I'm impressed you cared enough to make it down here, lmao)
 
Hey! I'm Rinoa. My nickname in real life is "Bailey" so only those who get close enough to me will be able to know my actual name.

I've been roleplaying for an upwards of 22 years. I didn't get to do so much in 2020 for personal reasons. I miss it and can't wait to get around to it again.

I remember being 13 and sitting in front of a CRT monitor, booting up my grandmother's Compaq tower PC, and listening to the Goddess-awful screeching of the dial-up internet on a 56k modem. Those were the days you had to learn patience. Today we have it so good, I believe. At least, those of us in developed areas. I'd hate to think that we'd have only so many Gigs of data to be able to reach the internet. I know my friends in Malaysia and the Philippines are limited on it depending on their location and finances. Thank the Gods for unlimited high speed internet(that I may be paying too much for and might switch; depends).

I typically RP on Discord and will find it hard to get back to a forum setting considering it's going to kind of bother me to wait a day or two for a response pending who is online at the same time I am. My length on a chat is a strong paragraph to multiple paragraphs. On here there isn't really that much of a limit(as far as I know?) so it might grow from there. That sounds exciting!

My favorite kind of RP is romance and adventure with deep themes that move the plot and urge character development.

My deepest wish is to find a significant other through RP so we can play our favorite pairings together.

Because of great despondency the last two years I have been unable to have much interest in RP genres other than that. Because I've been sad I haven't been able to RP anymore. I only RP'd once or twice and for very brief amounts of time(like a single session) throughout this last spring.

I'm hoping to change that and my mood by participating in this community.

Some of my hobbies involve Tarot Reading, doing manga art(and figuring out how to tell a story through panels), writing novels, comic scripts, and light novels, playing video games from the Final Fantasy franchise(honestly, I'm not good at any other game). One of my favorite things to do is snuggle up with my boyfriend on the couch and watch him play a console game. I don't have a boyfriend right now so that hasn't happened yet! Sob!

But yeah, I have a Discord tag you can access on my profile page. If you want me to recognize you tell me what your screen name is on here and that you saw me on RPNation.

So far I've roleplayed only on chatting sites and Discord whenever possible. That being said though, I have a decent experience of 5 years and a half. Most of my characters are created as sims as you'll see. (Yeah, I play Sims for quite a while as well.) My hobbies involve, music and sports mainly. I sing heavy metal and play chess.

The reason I joined is that I want to take my RP to the next level and of course, recruitment. I would like to find some new roleplays here. Hopefully. Oh, and I only RP 1x1. Have had bad experience with roleplays that have three or more people. It confuses me whose turn it is and a lot of times it's been a drag.

Also, please have in mind English is not my first language. So if I happen to do vocabulary or spelling mistakes (or grammar, but they almost never happen), please correct me politely. Like until yesterday I didn't know the name of the college is written "Yale", not "Yayle". Same happens if I mess up for instance Kentucky and Kansas. I obviously don't come from that part of the world.
