TO KILL A SUPERPOWER
Around the world . . .
Conflicts continue to escalate . . .
The world is in a grim state . . .
Can you make a difference?
+ Standard SCAR Armour: A set of body armour, made out of titanium alloys, along with ceramic armour plates beneath, and a layer of lightweight Kevlar in between. Optical camouflage is applied, and a classified thermal masking substance is applied onto the entire armour set, turning the operator almost invisible under thermal goggles and normal eyesight at long ranges. Gives the operator a balanced mix between defense and mobility, as it does not hinder the movements of the wearer, even through tight spaces, and is strong enough to withstand multiple close range shots, even from high caliber weapons.
+ Lightweight "Scout" Armour: The standard SCAR armour set, without the ceramic armour plates and the Kevlar layer, leaving a thinner layer of titanium alloy armour, in order to give the operator the maximum range of movement. Optical camouflage and thermal masking substance is further emphasized upon, along with grappling hooks, integrated into the forearm piece.
+ Heavy SCAR Armour: The normal SCAR Armour, reinforced with more titanium alloys and heavier ceramic armour plates. The Kevlar layer is replaced with a thicker layer of carbon fiber reinforced polymer. This gives the operator a near invincible status, reportedly capable of withstanding tank shells at close ranges, at the cost of movement, rendering the operator sluggish and clumsy.
+ Grappling Hook: Integrated into the Scout armour, the grappling hook itself can be applied onto any armour type. Usually mounted on the forearm, it can also be mounted anywhere else. The grappling hook provides more range of movement, as it grapples to a solid point and can pull the operator to said point.
+ See-through shield: A deployable shield, made out of thick graphene layers, integrated into the Heavy armour, mounted in the forearm. It folds out of the way neatly, and can be quickly deployed if needed from the mounting point, usually the forearms. Can be secured down on a surface to provide a barrier, or cover against small arms, and even high caliber weapons.
+ SMG Pod: A small, compact, disposable pod containing a firing mechanism with a 40 round magazine, a 'pocket submachine gun', as the operators call them. Can be attached anywhere, but would most logically be placed on the forearms. Serves as a last resort, a last line of defense, but can also be used as a handy tool in close quarters for those ill-equipped for such conditions.
+ Passive/Active Sonar Location Device: A compact sonar device, able to pick up audio cues and give feedback onto the operator's HUD, giving the estimated locations of objects near and far. It can also be activated, using its active mode, emitting a sound to actively look for objects.

+ Avtomat Borisov 77 Compact Sub-Machinegun: A light, close-range package of 7.7mm firepower, designed by Russian scientist Degyn Borisov in 2069, as a field test of the new 7.7mm pistol round he had developed. The gun has a reciprocating bolt, giving it a compact figure, for ease of concealment and handling.
+ M19 Combat Pistol: The standard issue sidearm for United Nations forces all over the world since 2055. Its sleek, timeless design, combined with a revolutionary recoil system built into the lower receiver, it provides a reliable 10mm round output downrange, with negligible recoil sway.
+ MPX Submachinegun: Despite being a very old design from 2013, through various extensions, upgrades and new models, the MPX still runs strong in today's armed world. A balance of effectiveness, cost, and manufacturing is the greatest attribute to the MPX being present today. With many cartridge options, from 9mm to even rifle rounds, on some variants. Has a high fire rate, works best in close range situations.
+ Mark 40 AMAR (Adaptive Modular Assault Rifle): An innovative and highly experimental rifle, designed by a group of top scientists from many countries using practical experience on the field. It features a bullpup design, but also has innovative class-switching: being able to switch into different variants with only a push of a button. The rifle is an assault rifle, a submachine gun, a sniper rifle, and a machine gun all at the same time. But due to this versatility, it is found wanting in all of these fields, as it is slightly inferior to other weapons of its class.
+ M57 Combat Rifle: The main rifle used by United Nations forces all around the world since 2057. Building upon the successful but obsolete AR-15 platform, it is also highly customizable, and fires a 7.62mm intermediate cartridge instead of the 5.56mm fired by its spiritual predecessor.
+ AEK-979M: The main rifle used by Russian special units, put into use since 2049. The bullpup design was controversial when it was first introduced, but has since proven itself in anti-terrorism missions. The modernized version has extended the gun's service life exponentially, and now still sees use in the fight against Saratovian separatists.
+ ARX-240: An Italian-made assault rifle, produced by the oldest firearms manufacturer company in the world, Beretta. The weapon was designed to high standards, being highly accurate, with stable recoil and able to withstand harsh punishment, from both weather and user. It fires a 5.56mm rifle round, assisted by an advanced recoil dampener, but is still reduced to a 4-round-burst.
+ AN-189: The oldest gun still being used by modern armies today, the AN-189 has proven itself to be the Kalashnikov of the 21st century, as it still fights on the modern battlefield, despite being first introduced in 2020. The gun packs a 7.62mm punch, although it becomes increasingly accurate at long ranges.
+ G560: A German design from the long-standing Heckler & Koch, the G560 is a versatile platform released in 2066 that utilizes the same customizable features as the M57 Combat Rifle, for interchangeability on the field, as the G560 is sometimes favored by United Nation troops over the M57. The gun is the most accurate assault rifle of its class, with a high-velocity 5.56mm round. However, with this special cartridge comes a disadvantage: its barrel is lengthy, making it hard to carry around and use without some form of resting point, and the slowest fire rate of its class.
+ ShG-45 Krakya: Although crude weapon by today's standards, the Krakya was considered state-of-the-art weaponry when it was first introduced in 2045. With a bulky receiver and a detachable 15-shot magazine, it contains unparalleled close range damage, albeit with awkward handling and a hefty weight.
+ M612 Combat Shotgun: A military version of the Six12 shotgun introduced in 2015. Through vast improvements, the gun is lightweight and contains a variety of shells available for the unique rotating feed situated behind the trigger, allowing the user to access multiple shell types at once. The gun sees limited use, however, due to the long-range nature of modern combat.
+ PSR-24: The Precision Sniper Rifle Model 24 is a high precision, experimental sniper rifle designed by a team of marksmen and highly skilled engineers. It features revolutionary advances in sharpshooting technology, with a unique Ballistics CPU that extrapolates data from not only the rifle, but from the user, and the surroundings, including data from other squad members, and renders them in real time through infrared and/or thermal. The barrel automatically expands and tightens to compensate for barrel heat, ensuring that the fire rate is not hindered. Due to its highly experimental characteristics, only SCAR members are issued these.
+ SVP-40M: A sniper rifle designed by the Russian Army, the Snaiperskaya Vintovka Petrenko 40M is a modernised version of the original rifle, first introduced in 2040. Through modern enhancements, it has become a versatile tool, with a bullpup design for ease of maneuvering and handling, and an advanced bolt design that switches seamlessly between open and closed bolt to adjust to the user's fire rate preferences. Due to this preference towards close-range combat, the SVP-40M performs poorly at long ranges.
+ M62 LRBR: The M62 Long Range Battle Rifle is the main sniper rifle for UN forces across the world. Designed and manufactured in 2062, it was designed for medium range combat, with characteristics much like the SVP-40M, excluding the advanced bolt design. It has a slow fire rate, but is much more accurate at long ranges compared to the SVP-40M.
+ Mk 84 DMR: The physical embodiment of 'quantity over quality', the Mark 84 Designated Marksman Rifle has an unusually high fire rate for a sniper rifle, at 600 RPM on Full-auto. In its early design, it was an assault rifle, but was later changed into a DMR, bringing over the high fire rate. It has a 30 round magazine, but can also accept a belt feed. Has almost no long range capability, but an excellent close to medium range weapon.
+ M875 General-Purpose Machine Gun: A German design, the M875 has been adopted for use by UN forces across the world. Its 7.62mm round is served at 900 RPM, and is suitable for all roles. This, however means that it does not excel at any one role, with mediocre performance.
+ M249A7 LMG: The latest model of the old M249 design, the M249A7 introduces an advanced cooling system, keeping the barrel at reasonable temperatures, even under sustained fire. It also features a flip-up 3x magnifier, for long range targets. It excels at medium to long range, but its lengthy design makes it unwieldy at close ranges.
+ M120 Combat Adaptive LMG: The M120 Combat Adaptive LMG is a highly advanced machine gun, developed recently in 2069. It fires an experimental 7.8mm round in a bullpup configuration, with a built-in 2x-8x variable zoom scope that can toggle between Night Vision, Infrared, Thermal and normal vision. The first of its kind, its barrel can widen or shrink to accept different cartridges almost immediately, for longevity on the field. Highly experimental, it is only supplied to SCAR members.
