Name: Roslyn Doe

Age: 30

Race: Human

Position on ship: captain

Bio: Roslyn's parents were colonists in a dangerous, pirate-filled part of space. The colony was always being raided, or attacked, or bullied. Roslyn hated the small town life. So one day pirates came and instead of giving in, Roslyn convinced the inhabitants to fight back. They arranged a small sort of defence and were defeated quite easily. The pirates left only after, "teaching the colony a lesson." Soon soldiers from Earth came to respond to the distress call and resupply the colony. Roslyn convinced them to take her with them back to Earth. So she went to Earth and decided to become a soldier to protect the defenceless, like her family. In 10 years time she rose quite quickly to her own command and then to sentinel status.

Skills: leading, firefights, strategy.

Weaknesses: Infiltration (the sneaky kind), science, and she gets cocky.

Name

Piekkuri Uss

Age

39, the average lifespan of a Vardan is around one hundred and thirty years

Race

Vardan, they are feline in build and body type, they have a short and dexterous tail that is a remnant of their ancestry, they vary wildly in their coloration, similar to house cats on earth and their eye colors range from near white to violet purple. They have whiskers on their faces and sharp teeth that are perfect for ripping meat. Their bodies respond best to meat and they eat and almost exclusive diet of white meats such as fish and poultry. They are extremely dexterous with their hands which have five long fur coated and fang tipped fingers. They are quite intelligent although some would call them cunning and clever rather than intelligent in the classical sense, that being said, their intelligence varies between each member of the species, some are quite slow in relation to the average Vardan and others are genius level intellects. The Vardans believe in strict discipline and honor bound with loyalty. The Vardan codes of honor and the way of life of the Vardan warrior's life is similar to the samurai way of life and the samurai code of honor (Bushido), although unlike the samurai, the Varda do not have a penchant for suicide and have not had a feudal nation upon their home world for almost nine hundred years.

All suits of armor for Vardan warriors are personalized works of art made to represent oneself, the armor of a Vardan is their second skin and a representation of their inner self.

Position on ship

Combat, stealth, and sabotage (can make bombs) specialist.

Bio

Despite their soft furry appearances, the Varda are a hardy and quite violent race. They inherit their nature from their distant ancestors, large predatory cats. They evolved from animals similar to Earth's Jaguar and they have retained their instinctual predatory nature, a nature that hindered their progress as they spent thousands upon thousands of years fighting among each other similar to the Human race. The Vardans only stopped killing one another when their home planet was invaded by a technologically superior race. The invaders, a particularly nasty race of home wreckers by the name of the Pochulians. The war finally ended when the Vardans were subdued and subjugated after eight years of total war, a far cry from the three month campaign that the Pochulians had estimated. The Vardan resistance had always been at a massive technological disadvantage and yet they had fought against the Pochulians for almost a decade, even succeeding in pushing them off world for a period of one year until the invaders returned with a larger force. The Vardans had, technologically speaking, been the equivalent of Humans in the late 1990s and yet they had fought hard and resisted the attacks of a far superior military power, and the Pochulians recognized that fact. After the occupation was complete the Pochulians began to recruit the Vardans into their armed forces, offering freedom and an opportunity to leave the solar system and explore the stars they had yearned for and see foreign planets and far off wonders of the universe. Many Vardans took up arms in the service of the Pochulians and the invaders had stuck to their promise and with the help of the Pochulians the Vardans spread slowly across the galaxy, soon the young race became known across the regions attacked by the Pochulians as a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. The catlike instincts and predatory nature of the Varda made them excellent warriors and those who retired or deserted from the Pochulian forces often became bounty hunters and many a crime syndicate hired Vardans for jobs that required stealth above all else as their abilities in terms of agility and silent movement were unmatched by almost all races.

The subjugation of the Vardans lasted for almostt one hundred and fifty years, by that point the planet of Varda and the Vardan society was heavily integrated with space age technology that had been handed down by their rulers and the Vardans turned the technology against their oppressors. Now armed with modern weapons and with the ability to now combat the Pochulians in space, they crushed their rulers swiftly and decisively over the course of a year, taking back their solar system and declaring independence. Those Vardans who had been in the service of the Pochulians rose up from their ranks and turned coat, joining their rebel brothers and sisters in their campaign for freedom, and for the first time in over a century the Vardans were free. Peace only lasted for two decades though, for the Vardan people turned their lust for expansion to the stars. Using the vast deposits of natural resources within their solar system they built their own warships and using their predisposition for strategy and conquest they quickly expanded outward, establishing an empire that covered fifteen solar systems within the span of three decades. As their empire grew they too grew content and lazy and the fighting tradition that was once held so close to the heart of every Vardan now rest in the back of their minds. The average Vardan was now the merchant space captain, the business owner or the manufacturer of goods, not a soldier. Only a small percentage of all Vardans fought as the rest enjoyed the comforts that money and the modern way of life brought, but those who did fight in the Vardan armed forces were as effective as ever, and their powerful navy continued to grow as the Vardan government continued to pump resources into the development of ever increasingly powerful ships and weaponry.

It was in this era that Piekkuri Uss was born. He was born into a dying breed, into a family of military tradition. His parents were both retired members of the Navy, his father was a marine and his mother a communications officer. They had met upon a vessel during one of the campaigns to conquer a world held by a weak and technologically inferior species. They had fallen in love and as soon as they could retire from the force, they did so, establishing a homestead on the planet of Varda. Piekkuri was born within a large family of three brothers and two sisters as the youngest sibling, and as a result he learned how to fight early as young Vardan siblings constantly play fought and sparred, another long holdover from their long lost ancestors. Piekkuri grew up in a good home and his parents, while disciplinarian were loving and his father was a wise Vardan who often gave good advice to the restless young brood he had raised.

Even though the thought of losing his sons to war frightened his father he nevertheless pushed them to train hard in combat arts, teaching them from a young age the importance of military discipline, the way of the honorable warrior, and the arts of swordplay, the foundation of all Vardan combat.

As soon as Piekkuri was eligible he joined the navy as a marine shock trooper, shock troopers were soldier sent down in landing pods into the heat of combat. It was by and far the most dangerous job that the navy offered, and it was the one he had volunteered for. Soon after he joined the armed forces a war broke out with a neighboring race who had begun expanding into Vardan space. During the war Piekkuri saw conflict on four different planets as the Vardan forces slowly slogged through their planetary defenses after crippling their navy. He quickly rose to the Vardan equivalent of captain and he was eventually given command of an entire company of men, leading them to several crucial victories as the Vardans expanded their empire at the expense of the younger and weaker Aliatis race. While he returned home a hero, his experiences sobered him and where there was once an eager kid yearning for glory, now stood a hardened veteran. While the the Vardan forces had broken the enemy and the war had been won in decisive fashion, one of Piekkuri's brothers was severely injured and the other had died in combat.

Skills

Extremely fast on his feet or all fours, excellent skill with his hands and has a steady hand when it comes to tinkering with small items or bombs, good with firearms, better with blades, and very stealthy if he is needed to be, excellent talker in a tight spot and clever strategist with a mind for war, quite agile and strong, and like many of his race he is an avid reader and writes war poems commemorating the battles he has fought and the comrades he has lost.

Weaknesses

Too quick to solve issues with violence, hasn't mastered his predatory nature yet and is still quick to anger, overconfident in his own abilities, brash and headfirst into issues, and has a superiority complex when regarding other races he views as "lesser". He is also paranoid of other sentient space faring species, like many of his kind he has an innate distrust of other races as the Vardans have never had a long lasting alliance with any other race and have been in a near perpetual state of war since they were brought into the galactic community.

This has to be one of the best and most through character sheets I've ever seen. +Your character is pretty kickass too. Definitely accepted.

Sorry for kind if cluttering up the CS , but I just wanted to let you know I'm still interested in joining but don't have enough time to make a decent CS. I''ll be home at about 7, so expect my CS around 7:30 or 8.

Name -
Tylronix Draazar

Age - 41, the average lifespan of a Guerra is about 60 - 70 due to combat related death. None of the Guerra as of yet have died of old age, but most are in their prime around 50 - 65.

Position - Soldier/Shock Trooper

Race - Guerran, averaging about 8 feet tall and about 230 pounds. The Guerra, following an evolutionary path similar to Humans, never grew to appreciate the potential of firearms or gunpowder in general. Instead, they preferred harnessing their natural strength, agility, and martial prowess in the form of swordplay and defense in the form of armor. Focusing mostly of the development of greater armor and melee weapons, the Guerra saw the use of primitive Power Armor in the battlefield around the time Humans began visiting space. While other races began travelling between planets and solar systems, the Guerra were still developing armor, swords, axes, and other weapons meant to be used up close. Unlike the medieval age of the Humans, Guerra prefer fighting in the field and spilling blood to besieging towns and castles. They possess extensive knowledge of their own plant and wildlife, but are somewhat lacking in the sciences and are therefore somewhat superstitious. The constant state of war has left most of their own planet, Alagathar, unexplored.

Bio - Having developed their armor to protect against high velocity strikes at close range, the Guerran armor proved to be effective at protecting against projectile weapons. When the first extraterrestrial visitors came to Alagathar, they were hailed as messengers of the gods. When a small disagreement turned violent, the Guerran learned that the visitors weapons, while loud and smoke-producing, had little effect on their tough hides and advanced armor, they drove the explorers back to their ships. More explorers came and left, until a group of Humans took the time to learn the Guerran language and eventually offered to take some of them back, showing them what existed beyond their war-torn planet. Tylronix, whom the lord he served had recently died, was one of the few that accepted the offer.

Skills - Having often served in the Vanguard, Tylronix is prepared to take hits and close upon his enemy. With additions of Human technology to his armor, he can extend a shield of energy to protect him from blows and incoming fire for a short period of time. Additionally, being considered strong by Guerran standards, who are used to the stronger gravitational pull of Alagathar, Tylronix is capable of feats of extreme strength.

Weaknesses - Completely inept with firearms of any sort. Having no experience using any sort of ranged weapon, Tylronix relies solely on his martial skill. Used to life on Alagathar, Tylronix is also a poor candidate for handling fragile items, as the planet has a higher than average gravitational pull. Unused to the political games of other cultures, Tylronix can be considered somewhat brash, as he assumes those who threaten his lordess or lord to be issuing a challenge, one he plans to answer with violence.

Name- Axel P. Grishiam

Age- 28

Race: Human

Position on ship: Smuggler/Information Broker

Bio: As professional conman, Axel has a loose set of morals. However his charming personality may seem on the surface, he is a man focused entirely on his own goals. Betraying, lying, and friendly sabotage are all acceptable means to an end. Due to his infamous reputation, Axel is constantly slipping from one planet to the next. If he lingers anywhere too long bounty hunters have a way of tracking him. Axel isn't opposed to crossing powerful players in criminal underground if it strikes him on impulse. For the shock value or simply because he can. His lists of contacts are as endless as his list of enemies. Whatever else he isn't, Axel is a professional when it comes to his business. His notorious reputation is important to him.

His grandfather was a war criminal. A man who fought for the idea that human kind was the superior species. Axel was taught how to handle a pistol young--raised by men who thought an intergalactic war in their lifetime was inevitable. Axel was the first of his lineage to leave Earth. Most people don't know the far reaching criminal was raised in a backwater patch of dirt on the blue planet. Having cut all ties with his family, Axel's only loyalty is to his own interests. He's a mix of volatile emotion and cold calculation.

Skills: A far reaching influence over the criminal underground. Axel's a crack-shot with a gun (he has a variety of bullets from poisoned to tranquilizers). His experience as a conman has taught him how to prepare for and handle unexpected situations. Axel has a knack for technology--especially concerning computers, ie. hacking. He's also quiet the smooth talker.

Weaknesses: He's physically weak compared to other races, averagely able for a human. Axel has a hard time cooperating with a team. He's can't resist having the last word. Making enemies with more than one person at a time never seems like a bad idea. Axel's erratic, egotistical, angry, and possibly psychopathic. He is also afraid of bugs.

Technology as well as infiltration and assassination: Atak works with anything technology, from communications, to navigating, to calibration on weapons and thrusters, as well as spying and infiltrating, with the occasional assassination. She is a classic saboteur

Bio

The cold and mysterious attitude that Atak possesses is a result of her past. As a child she realized she was different. quite different. Why? Well because she was actually born a he. Yes, Atakcha was transgender, and in the futuristic era that he was born in, it wasn't really a big deal. However, the disapproval of her parents sparked the confidence and mischievous side in her.

As she grew older, she found her self in more and more trouble, but nevertheless, getting what she wanted. She was stealing money here and there, no big deal, right? With that money she was stealing hormones and all the finest furs you could think of. The fact that she started at such a young age helped her body grow into a shape that of a model, Her 6'2 frame and broad shoulders thanks to her original male genetics. Of course her parents found out and she out in the streets, fending for herself. No problem for her really. Especially since she found her way into a secret organization that to this day, she couldn't tell you what was for. She didn't care though, they told her what to do, she did it, and as a result she was paid handsomely. At that point she was a stone cold, leather clad snake, performing assassinations like she was going out for a cup of coffee. Her eyes were always scowling and mysterious, her lips always in a parted pout, just aching to spout out some bitchy, snide remark.

Skills

Atak is extremely intelligent and can work any piece of technology you give her. She is sly, quick, and an expert spy.

Weaknesses

Atak is not very good at taking a hit and her harsh attitude and "better than you" persona can get in the way a lot of the time.

From left to right : Male, Female, Individual

Name:

K'Taza (roughly translated to English from A'deen)

The sufix "K' " stands for "The one" and "Taza" for who or whom seeks.

Age:

29 // Ridi Orans usually live about 120 to 170 human years. They do not die of age, they simply "become one with the ethereal cycle"

(Quote from "M'Engin", famous script of knowledge given to elders by the local comm. leader to teach their children)

.

Race:

Ridi Oran. The Ridi Oran (

"Oran" stands for people, generation, society, and "Ridi" for moon

) grew originally on one of the moons of the planet O'Muda (

O'Muda is a planet made of heavy gaseous compounds, which makes the natural birth of life impossible. It revolves around the Magno Komura orbit, and has three moons: Drada Tnidai, Dali Nara and Drani Vida. All three have an oxygen atmosphere

), called Drada Tnidai. The Ridi Oran are about 5 feet and weight about 120 pounds.

The Ridi Oran are organized as an autocracy, being the leader called K'Brini (

"Brini" stands for father of all or bringer of knowledge

)(

Older books from the U'Cacia era call the ethereal cycle "Brini Andan"

). Each moon has it's own K'Brini, which focus on taking care and protecting the local people. The Ridi Oran cannot live in very big societies, so they usually live on smaller groups scattered around the moon. They are strictly herbivorous, as eating meat can cause heavy wounds to their internal organs. Because of that, since the implementation of the Oran Vortas (

a huge density, pressure and oxygen generator

), Ridi Oran and animals live peacefully together.

They're divided in three genders: Male, Female and Individual. Male and Female need each other in order to procriate, though Individual's can create one sucessor (

only once on a lifetime

) without the need of others. Individual's tend to be smarter than normal, and can be easily recognized by their white coloring. Because of this, K'Brini usually are Individual's.

Their language has few dialects, and is almost completely executed on the troath. Though not sounding close to a native, humans are one of the few races capable of speaking it.

On top of it all, the Ridi Oran are known for being extremely inteligent. They trust their minds into the ethereal cycle, and they "see" the world on a different manner. Besides the fact that their eyes perceive heat, whereas human eyes see colors, they can link the existence of certain person to the ethereal cycle. Individual's are rumoured to be able to see the past come live, but none has confirmed it.

"Muda Vida"

"The only cycle, which breathes among the people, is neither death nor life - but the ethereal. When your time comes, thou shall see as we do."

The first Ridi Oran appeared on the Drada Tnidai moon, centuries ago. The first specimen were unable to speak, could not walk and had no eyes. During about three thousand years, they lived stuck on the ground, where they learned to be one with nature. No books or scriptures remain about this time, but the tales tell about a Ridi Oran named K'Dali, who was born with legs, capable of roaming Drada Tnidai. K'Dali would take his brothers out of the ground with bare hands and heal them at the lair he built. This became known as the first Ridi Oran community in existence, and K'Dali became known as K'Brini by the people, in honor of his deeds to the race. When close to death, K'Dali isolated himself, and was never more to be seen. Decades past, a young Ridi Oran came to the community - one called K'Drani. K'Dali was then rumoured to be the first ever individual, and K'Drani his son. The era next to come would be called U'Cacia.

After stablishing the community, K'Drani felt the need of communication. He then proceeded to create the whole Ridi Oran language (called A'deen), which still remains really close to the original. K'Drani educated his people, and, short before dying, wrote M'Engin, the most famous book of the race, portraying what one should do to live peacefully among the Ridi Oran. When K'Drani died, the Ridi Oran spent four centuries without a K'Brini. During this time, Drani Vida and Dali Nara were colonized. But by the lack of a leader, the Ridi Oran soon felt under the power of a stronger race, the Egur. This was then called the Egur Dali era. All three moons had from 40 to 60% of them extracted, and the Ridi Oran were all enslaved. After 7 centuries under the power of the Egur, a new Individual rose. K'Brini, as he was called (his real name was not known), traded his life for the freedom of Dali Nara. Upon his death, the population came together, and so the Oran Vorta of Dali Nara was created. The Egur relied heavily on Oror (a substance similar to oxygen), which made the use of armour always necessary. It was a device built to change the pressure and density of the oxygen present on the atmosphere of said moon. When the Oran Vorta was first used, all Egur and many Ridi Oran on the moon died. This sparked the attention of other Egur, which then started torturing, murdering and devouring those involved in the project. A group of 5 Ridi Oran scientists were able to escape Dali Nara. That was when they went to Drani Vida and Drada Tnidai to create others Oran Vorta.

It was on this time that K'Taza was born. He was a Male Ridi Oran born without a name on the planet of Drada Tnidai. When he came to existence, the Oran Vorta had just been put to work, which ended up killing his parents, along with the majority of the population. After a few more decades, the Egur were gone. Celebration and happiness filled the hearts of the population from all three moons. Even though most of what they had was destroyed, O'Muda and it's orbit was left alone, once again. A whole new society began: diplomats, scientits, soldiers and more all rose to face public demand. The Ridi Oran could not stand another subjulgation. This marked the end of the Egur Dali era, and the beginning of the Vorta Vida era.

A few years later, a new K'Brini rose in Drada Tnidai. K'Nara, as he was called, built, along with the people, ships and cruises able to maintain themselves on planets made of gases, such as O'Mura. Thus, the O'Vorta was created. A "city" dedicated to scientits and academies, inside O'Mura. K'Taza was a youngster by the time, but he was chosen by the K'Brini to be sent to O'Vorta to get educated, representing Drada Tnidai's new generation. Inside the academy, he got praised by the amount of dedication and quality he put on his work - Thus, he was called "K'Taza", as "the one who seeks knowledge". At the age of 22, he left the academy (whereas most Ridi Oran leave at 27) to join the scientits group. Along with his team, he was able to cure most plagues and diseases that haunted the population. After being awarded for his deeds to the society, he was sent to Dali Nara to begin a project of creating an stable and promissing economy. At the age of 28, the project was completed, and the Ridi Oran entered the space market.

Being qualified as one of the greatest Ridi Oran minds alive, he was sent to a human colony to study the cure for a degenerous disease, which turns people's flesh rotten. Being the way he looks, he is not well seen in the community, being often called "dirty", "bizarre" or "why the fuck do we need trees to save our asses?". The job pays well though, and, even though he doesn't enjoy the comments, he doesn't get bothered by them. Some may call him "arrogant", as to where he calls himself a genius, but he, along with his race, is just honest. Friendly, he likes people. Specially inteligent people. If he can't hold a conversation for longer than five minutes with you, you'll almost never get that chance again. Though not very fond of killing, he do not think badly of it, as it is just by him seen as a "over accelerated return to the cycle".

The Ethereal Cycle

The Ethereal Cycle is a mutual feeling and idea of the Ridi Oran, which often feels like a religion. They believe that the matter that generated life will once have to be repayed, and that is through death. Still, what makes possible the advance and growth of life is knowledge. By getting wiser, one increases the weight that his life matters has on the earth. This way, when he dies, it is possible for him to allow more specimen to continue his line of thought. To put on human terms:

We are all glasses of water. During our life, we get filled with knowledge (water). There will come a point where your glass will be half empty or half full, and, when this glass comes back to the ground, the knowledge on it will be splattered around the ground, which makes it so that other creates can drink from it, besides yourself.

Skills:

Mentally capacitaded, he can do most healing/researching/developing etc that the team may need.

Weaknesses:

Not physically fit for most missions. He needs a stable temperature as well, as the change of it leads to a direct change of mood by him.

This one took some time to write. I hope it gets accepted, I really did put some effort on it, hahaha. In order to make names with a more deep meaning, I've made a extremely little dictionary, which I can be posting here if you want to. But yeah, thanks for reading it all!

Hey guys I am so sorry but this weekend I will be really busy. I do not have time to read your apps, as i have competition. So sorry, I'm sure they're lovely, but I want to read through them before accepting them, which I will probably do on sat. Sorry everything has been slow from me. The season is coming to a close and things start getting intense. (Marching band/ color guard, if you were curious)

Thanks for putting so much work in to contribute to the reality of the RP. Accepted.

Alright you guys. I am SO SORRY that everything from me is taking so long. Life kicked me on the ass and knocked the wind out of me. So im going to leave this up to you: do you want me to start now or d I'll you want me to be active and recruit more people

You can do both, the main story arch doesn't have to start right up from the get go, maybe we could "get the gang together" and establish the problems facing the soon to be crew in the beginning of the RP while also establishing the characters and what situations they're coming from.

I agree with HunterJJ. I think we should have a somewhat short period where the characters get introduced to one another and learn about the main threat, or have Roslyn be recruiting individuals Mass Effect style.

Okay. I will write something up. How Bout Roslyn tells the group to meet on a huge famous space station, that I will put the info for on the overview.
