Realistic or Modern The Darkbane Dimension- Living Miracles

The multiverse has long since been the prey of the darkness between realms. This darkness would encroach into dimensions and slowly but surely snuff out stars, wipe planets clean and eventually consume the very universe itself. For the longest time it has been though that this was the natural end of all universes...however as another universe nears its end and the darkness encroaches into its borders a strange coincidental event triggers the birth of three new kinds of being who seem uniquely equipped to fight back this darkness. The entire multiverse watches on baited breath as the Universe they have come to call The Darkbane Dimension fights for its very survival. To the surprise of no one this fight seems to be starting on that universes Earth, and despite the multiverses hopes riding on the universes success none are willing to directly help them for fear of turning the darkness's attention to them. Unbeknownst to the denizens of earth the fate of literally everything hinges on their life or death struggle.

Spoiler: The Plot

In the year 2021 towards the middle of the year the Cern Scientists created the worlds first Fusion reactor. The massive amount of power it generated allowed them to link it to their particle collider where they were able to dial it all the way up to 7000TeV more than seventy times the power of their last most powerful firing of the particle stream. They were very excited...for all of about 3 seconds. The energy pumped into a beam a single molecule wide seemed to violate some unknown law of physics as it blasted a hole in the space time continuum creating a void that expanded to consume the entire facility and the city it was built in. At first the onlookers thought this was the end of the world however the void stopped expanding and imploded after growing to nearly seventy miles in diameter. The implosion unleashed a massive pulse of an unknown radiation which had a horrible effect on the world. In just under a day nearly 10% of humanity died from the symptoms of a lethal dose of radiation. The world grinded to a halt as literally everyone knew of someone or was someone who lost a loved one. Plans were still being drawn up to deal with the many hundred million bodies when a miracle seemed to happen. Exactly 24 hours after falling down dead all of the bodies that had not been critically damaged stood back up.

The resurrected people had the same memories and minds as they had before but now they seemed to possess a great deal more. They had developed some kind of superpowers. This added part was covered up by the world governments who promptly began rounding up these resurrected super people. Each government had their own corrupt goal most involving creating teams of supersoldiers. However as they began to train these Miracle Men and Women in the usage of their powers it quickly became apparent that they would not be able to contain them. As such several high ranking individuals in the governments of the world put together a global organization which would be dedicated to and staffed by Miracles as they had taken to call the resurrected superhumans. This all occured within five years of the Void out event.

Shortly after forming the organization one lf the Miracles who had been gifted superhuman genius intellect cracked the code for these powered individuals learning how to categorize and best train them. They found that three categories of Miracles existed. Naturia ,who were miracles who drew power from biological process and systems to gain powers such as super human strength, shape shifting, animal transformations and other biological based powers. Adeptus , who channel forces from our universe through their bodies such as gravitational, thermal, electromagnetic and other such energies granting a wide range of powers that look like fantasy magic. Lastly are the Psychyos , who draw psychic energies from the darkness between dimensions to fuel a wide range of psychic abilities that vary from person to person.

While no two Miracles are exactly the same this categorization allowed the organization to optimize their teams and training to produce excellent super soldiers, and not a moment too soon. The sixth year after the Void out and strange miniature voids began to open periodically around the world spewing otherworldly eldritch abominations, diseases, and alternate physics that have begun to unravel the world. The only thing that seems able to match these creatures and forces are the miracles who have begun to be deployed by their organization all around the globe. For the first time since being enlisted Miracles get to not only test their powers in the field, but to also show the general public of the earth what they are capable of.

The Darkness Given Form.

The creatures of the dark dimensions come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Far too numerous for each to have an extensive file on them. As such instead of categorizing each individual one they are instead given categories based on the amount of Strange energy they generate which has proven a good measure of the threat level one possesses.

Delta- The lowest tier of threat. These creatures possess a threat to the lives of one or more people and are usually able to be killed by conventional weaponry and proper planning. Creatures like the Narcolept, Shuggoth, and Bristler fall into this category.

Beta- The second level of threat these creatures pose a threat to a community or city and will not fall to any amount of low caliber fire. Military hardware like tanks and jets are needed to fell these foes. Beings like the Behegon, The Tyrant, and The Lumbering Maws all fall into this category.

Alpha-The third level of threat encompassing beings who pose threats to entire countries amd potentially the world. Nothing short of a nuclear bomb can be counted on to damage a creature like this and even that may just make it mad. As such teams of Miracles are sent after creatures like this. Beings like the Illithids, Aboliths, And The Chosen of the dark ones fall into this category.

Omega- The final tier of threat and one mankind has yet to experience. This theoretical threat level represents a threat to the entire planet or even dimension typically one far outside of humanities ability to deal with. Nothing short of a full scale mobilization of all Miracles can deal with such a threat, and even that is a gamble at best. Beings Like Cthulu, Yog, and Azmodeus fall into this category.​
