Fantasy Seven Sins Kingdoms [OPEN]

Ravynne Clave

Professional Hunger Inducer

The Royals aka The Sinnies are to be referred to as Your Highness or Your Majesty (unless they state otherwise), Nobles are addressed as Lord or Lady, and the Knights will be called by name. Unless you're a Royal, Royals can call anyone whatever pleases them! xD

You can only be a Royal if approved by an already standing Royal. Should you wish to be a Noble, ask the Royal you wish to be under, or they will claim you as their own. Royals and Nobles are the only Supernatural species. The Knights are all human. The Nobles will be gifted with a Supernatural creature by their Royal. You can give suggestions, of course.

The Sins are all one family, living in one castle, but ruling different regions of their country under a Sin's name. Not all are blood-related, but it doesn't stop them from being Royal. Soooo.. there are seven regions, known as Kingdoms, but the Royals and one of their Nobles live in the Central City where the Sins Palace resides. Their second Noble lives in their respective kingdom as a sort of ambassador.
At the center of the entire realm is Central City where the Royals live with their primary Noble in Sins Palace. There are seven roads leading out to each region or kingdom where the other Noble resides to keep the citizens in check.

This roleplay is basic one. However, you will be expected to be at least at an intermediate level. At least five sentences in a roleplay post. In literary format and in third person.
Here is the Sinnies Ranks!

---RULES---

These are the general rules for this role play. Please adhere to each and every one of them!

1. Refrain from any god modding.

2.Do not kill off someone else's character without the creator's permission.

3. No auto hitting or auto dodging. Make the fights fair and believable. Seriously, your character is not invincible.

4. Please wait until your OC has been approved before role-playing.

5. Keep M-rated material out of this forum! That's a no-brainer.

6. Royal character deaths must be agreed with by the administrator and the person playing said character.

7. No fighting among members. OOC Drama is strictly prohibited, however, IC drama is more than acceptable. What's a role play without some battles and arguments, right?

8. If you wish to add something to the story line, run it by me first!

9. Each member is limited to three characters. No more! However, if one dies, you are entitled to replace it with another.

10. If you have any problems or concerns with someone else's post or character, bring it up to me IN PRIVATE. I don't want anything but friendly conversation OOC.

11. DO NOT ONE LINE! Give the other roleplayers something to work with. Be creative and detailed, I don't mean to write a whole novel, but at least try!

12. This is an semi-literate roleplay, so please use literary format and try and be a little detailed. At least write five sentences.

13. Do not create an character that is related to a someone else's without asking the original creator. Honestly, that irks me, so don't do it!

14. Do not claim a Royal character just to pair them with your own. Be realistic with the relationships and allow them to be explored with two roleplayers on each side.

15. Be sure to welcome new members! We don't want them to feel like they don't belong. And please make an effort to include them in the roleplay.

SETSUKA
A lone figure stood out on the beach's shore. Moonlight danced along the golden hair as the breeze gently caressed pale skin. The night was like any other in that part of the island: quiet, undisturbed, and lonely. Only the wind whistling through the trees and the girl's steady breath sounded through the night sky. Her cerulean eyes were locked on the dim glow of the moon, its pale reflection painted on the dark blue of the water's surface with the multitude of stars glistening around it. It was a beautiful sight, serene and calm, but her face was impassive as it gazed upon it all. The sand felt cold beneath her bare feet, but she refused to budge from her position near the water. She was far enough away that it wouldn't touch her when it slipped back onto the shore.

The young woman was dressed in a light blue camisole and cotton, blue and white plaid pajama pants. Her blonde hair lay loose about her shoulders, falling to her hips in curls of gold. In her right hand were a pair of blue slippers that she had removed after having left the treeline behind her. It didn't matter to the girl whether she returned to her residence in an hour or a week. She was sure the others were deeply dreaming in their own beds. Something she should have been doing, but she found herself rather restless. That night, almost two months ago, the King had asked her to look into an issue in her kingdom. At first she had believed it wouldn't be too much of a hassle. The people of Pride kingdom had never before caused her any problems. However, it soon proved to be much more difficult than she'd initially believed. Her room and everything within it had been brought, along with her, to an island with seemingly no inhabitants but her and the wildlife. That place so far away from her home and many miles away from the Sins Kingdom was the problem. Once she'd entered the gates to Pride Kingdom, they'd told her of the mysterious glow emanating from Vicaris Island. And so, she had gone and come back without an answer.

"Just what is causing them so much distress and how can I help them?" she asked herself, the tone of her voice filled with sorrow and resignation. Setsuka, as she was named, had been asking herself that question since she first came back from the island. However, it always remained unanswered and so she had taken to wandering the beach near the Central City Palace. And that's how she had found the cavern she had turned into a second home. It was a beautiful place, of course. The rock of the cave walls were a deep onyx color, but the interior was usually alight with a soft violet glow due to the crystals embedded in the walls. The willow tree at the entrance blocked any sunlight from filtering into the cavern, and the rocks at the base kept it hidden from view. One would have to climb and shift the boulders to even get inside. Setsuka's only easy access into the cave was through the secret tunnel that led out to where she currently was. It was obscured by a foliage of large leaves. However, when pushed aside, it revealed a small hole in the side that allowed one to enter. It could only be accessed from the lake where she was. That too, though, was hidden by a long wall of ivy and blossoms. She had her own personal beach just behind her cavern, her own sanctuary, but it didn't ease the pain of feeling useless to her people. Even now when she was back home with the other Royals. Because this was her issue to resolve, as she didn't yet have Nobles to deal with such things. So she was alone in finding a solution.

'I'll have to head to the archives again tomorrow. There has to be something there I overlooked,' she thought, turning her back to the lake to walk back toward the Palace. Setsuka stepped over the charred logs of her burnt out fire. It was a circle of medium-sized stones with a stack of logs in the center. The fire had gone out hours ago. It seemed she had been there longer than she'd anticipated.

((I got impatient! xD Well, at least I don't have to worry about my post for the time being!))

Akira
Akira stood on her balcony watching the moon. The night was truly beautiful. The indigo sky was speckled with stars, like diamonds set in ivory. The waxing moon was so bright it lit up the whole sky, illuminating the land in a silver glow. A gentle breeze occasionally floated by, sifting through her chocolate tresses. Akira’s lips slid into a bitter smile, it truly would be the perfect night if she had someone to spend it with. Perhaps it was too much to ask, after all physically no one could deny their attraction but beyond that no one cared. She longed for a relationship beyond the physical, but lust could only get you so far.

Akira sighed and ran a hand through her tresses, her fingers getting caught in the tangles. She slowly worked them through her hair, until it was semi brushed. Her eyes then slid back to the sky. At times she felt like a star, admired from afar and often taken for granted of. Everybody loved a star but did they really care about what’s inside or is it just the brightness that attracted them. She smirked bitterly, some nights were worse than others. At times she couldn’t bear the loneliness and was content to cry herself to sleep and other nights she took solace in the company of people who didn’t really care. She longed for the confidence to be on her own and rely on companionship.

The events of the evening certainly didn’t help Akira’s melancholy. She’d spent most of the night courting one of the guests at the palace. He’d been charming and funny, certainly enough to keep her entertained. A small part of her clung to the idea that maybe he was genuine and could actually care for her. But clearly she’d been wrong. As the evening was winding to a close he’d wasted no time forcing himself on her and attempting to secure the night with her. On a difference day, perhaps she would have accepted his advanced. But the timing had felt wrong, on a day when she longed for companionship, a one night stand wasn’t idea. So, she sent him to his rooms and retired to her own, alone. Now, instead of sleeping, like she should have, she was left to dwell on her choices. Perhaps she shouldn’t have let him leave, any distraction would be better than being lost in her own thoughts.

SETSUKA
The leaves behind her settled into their previous position, shielding the hole beside the wall, as she made her way out of the cavern and toward the side door into the castle. It wasn't long before she found her way into her room, as there was no one besides the guards in the corridors. To her left was a large four poster bed draped in blue and white Egyptian silk bed sheets and silver pillows, a lavender canopy over the entirety to keep it concealed. Just beside it was an ebony nightstand with 'The Art of War' placed right on top. On the right were two matching bookshelves filled to the brim with her favorite literature and journals, and a wardrobe just between them that holds her clothing within the drawers. Near the entrance of the room lay a violet carpet that kept her feet warm when she walked around barefoot. The entire place was lit in a soft lavender light due to the crystals embedded in the dark walls of her room, courtesy of her sanctuary cave.

Setsuka stepped further into the room, tossing the slippers to the side of the bookcase where the rest of her shoes were lined up. Tension was evident upon glancing at the young woman, and the air about her was enough to show just how she felt about her current situation. She moved over to the wardrobe and opened the second drawer. Although her excursion to the archives could wait until morning she was anxious to get it done and over with. Much of the archives had yet to be explored by her, as she had kept to the areas near the creatures section to avoid being lost. If there was an answer in the library, she would have to expand her search beyond just creatures. Setsuka had believed that maybe it would be an easy thing to find something to assist her with the issue in Pride Kingdom.

'I don't even know where to begin searching,' she thought bitterly, pulling off her clothing to change into a band tee that clung to her torso and blue jean shorts that exposed her long, pale legs. She slipped on a pair of white sneakers before pulling her blonde hair into a low ponytail. Had she not been desperate to help her people she would be snuggled within the covers of her bed. Unfortunately, her conscience was running on overdrive and she needed to to find a solution immediately. There were a few places besides the library she knew would have what she needed, but she would be forced to actually do some interacting with some unsavory people in the markets. As much as she wanted to stay in her little sanctuary, she had to head out if she wanted to accomplish anything. With a sigh, the young woman grabbed her journal and bag and slung it over her shoulder along with her books and walked back the way she came to the exit. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask for help from a fellow Royal, after all. And she only knew about three who kept themselves up around this time of night. Biting her lower lip, Setsuka strode down the hallway toward Akira's bedchamber. Surely, she would find her awake. Hopefully. With a small bit of hesitation, she knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

Love You to Death Love You to Death

Akira was jolted out of her reverie by a knock on the door. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath in an attempt to collect herself. Not many people were up at this hour and it was likely that she’d need her composure for whatever situation awaited her. It was likely one of her siblings, who wanted company during the later hours of the nights. She was often who they turned to, as one of the only ones consistently up this late. Luckily this could prove just the distraction she was looking for, something to get her mind off of things.

“I’m coming,” She stated, loud enough that whoever was outside could hear her. She then took a second to brush off her clothes and survey herself in the mirror. She pursed her lips, taking in her disheveled appearance. Regardless of who was outside the door, looking this messy wasn’t going to fly. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to work with. She’d already wiped most of her makeup off and her hair was a tangled wreck. With a sigh she pulled her hair up into a messy bun and grabbed a jacket from her closet. The clothes she was already wearing would have to do. It was rare that she went out in a baggy tee shirt and athletic shorts but she didn’t want to make whoever it was wait. She looked in the mirror one last time and, deeming her appearance acceptable, strode to the door.

Akira pushed open the door and allowed a small smile to slide onto her face at the sight of Setsuka. It was rare that she was out this late, but Akira had noticed that the other girl had been stressed lately. Perhaps whatever her worries were had kept her up late tonight. Knowing that Setsuka would soon explain her reasons, Akira didn’t ask any questions and choose to simply lift a hand in greeting towards the other girl.

~Paine Lynch~
A dim light peeked out below the doors from Paine'a chambers. It wasn't too surprisingly to see the faint light since she often stayed up to complete any paperwork she had left. Inside the room, Paine could be seen at her large, wooden desk. It was polished and nice, reflecting a gleam when her candle remained lit and bright. She wore a silly silver nightgown that reached down to her knees. She was really pale in comparison to the other Royals. It was mainly because she was always working, rarely having the time to go outside and enjoy herself. She remained seated in her cushioned chair, hunching over the desk as her hand moved relentlessly. Her weary eyes scanned everything over, reading it all and somehow managing to retain its information despite how sleepy she felt. Her eyelids felt heavy, and as a result, she stood up from her chair, dropping her quill that still retained ink at the tip. She made her way to her personal bathroom, shivering slightly as she felt the cold tiles beneath her feet. She made her way over to the sink, twisting the knob to turn on some cold water. She hunched over a bit as she used her hands to cup some water, splashing it on her face to hopefully wake herself up. She shivered again, feeling her hairs stand on end before she grabbed a soft hand towel, wiping the water droplets off her face before sighing. It really was going to be a long night for her again. She hung the hand towel back on its rack, trailing out of the bathroom and back to her desk. She wasn't too thrilled about her job. If anything, she despised it. It felt nice to be so highly respected, but the job simply asked too much of her, yet she never complained. She already accepted her role a long time ago, even if her parents didn't seem to be on the same page with her. Mother...Father.... She grimaced somewhat, deciding that she had done enough work for the night. If she was thinking about her parents, she was obviously pushing herself too much. Paine put away her quill and ink before neatly organizing the papers before her into piles- one pile for things she had gotten done, and another for unfinished paperwork. Once she was sure everything had been put into place, she raised herself up before picking up the candleholder and setting it on her nightstand. Yes, she could have very well had her lights on in her bed room, but she liked using candles and quills-- hell, anything that was old seemed to make her feel more proficient in anything.

Pane made her way out to the balcony where the pale moonlight could gently caress her seemingly flawless skin. The wind seemed to tease her hair as it gently ran through it. The girl deeply inhaled, smelling the slightest bit of salt from the ocean before exhaling just as deeply. She enjoyed the night too much honestly. The way the stars would twinkle as they greeted her, and how the moon felt so far yet so close. It was almost as if the moon was always there to comfort her each and every night. She remembered as a child, when she felt upset or alone, she would go out on this very same balcony and pray to the moon in the sky. She knows that the moon cannot answer her prayers now, but as a child, she felt hopeful. She wanted to be a child of the moon because it had always been there for her, even at her darkest hour of need. She paused, looking up at the white moon that almost had a bit of a light azure glow to it. "....Am I good enough for them now?" She murmured, mainly to herself. She looked back down, feeling rather silly for talking aloud to herself. Then again, it wasn't surprising since she didn't talk to many people. She wondered if the other sinnies were awake, and part of her new the answer to that. Despite the fact that she didn't always see eye to eye with the other sinnies, she knew them rather well. She was the one who normally helped out the others with running their kingdom and often gave them advice about it. She was almost like an older sister to the group since she always nagged at them about responsibilities and whatnot. She couldn't help it. Perhaps over time she had developed a soft spot for the other sinnies, but she would never admit that to them or to anyone for that matter.

Paine returned to the fact at hand- she needed rest. If she were going to be working tomorrow, like she always did, she would need a good night's rest. Even if that meant she would only get a few hours of sleep. She walked back into the room, shutting the doors that led out to the balcony before locking them. She then clambered on into her giant, spacious bed, feeling the soft cloth against her smooth skin before revealing the silk-like sheets underneath. She got herself cozy, bundling herself up like a child would. She then reached out, grabbing hold of the candlestick holder before lightly blowing out the flame. She let darkness take the room for its own, excluding the area where the moon light intruded her room, marking its usual place. She yawned quietly, burying herself deep within the sheets and fluffy pillows until she was lulled into a bittersweet dream. Though even the sweetest dreams do not last.

Paine jerked herself forward, heart racing and pounding with adrenaline and fear coursing through her veins as she bared a cold sweat. Her throats felt tight and strained, desperate for the cool relief of water while her body trembled, perhaps from the fear she felt. She gripped onto her covers, ashamed that she had let this happen again. Paine wasn't supposed to fear anything. She was supposed to be the perfect role model for everyone, and despite her aggressive side, she in fact had been. Her anger was a mere cover up though to hide away her fears and doubts from the cruel world she saw. Nobody seemed to understand the world like she did though. The world was a dark place filled with monsters that hid behind fake faces and lies. Her parents had been monsters, and she too had been, in fact, a monster. Her lips quivered slightly before she forced herself out of bed, shivering once again at the contact of her cold floor before making her way out of her room. The hallway had been dark with only sheds of light from the pale moon had lit her way. She needed water, and that's one of the many reasons she got up. She just needed to stay awake until the nightmare had left her mind, only to plague her some other night. She licked her lips as she walked down the hallway. Her bedroom lied in the west wing of the castle, away from most of the other sinnies-- after all, she never appreciated distractions. She sighed wearily as she made it to the main hall, about to descend the stairs to get to the kitchen until she noticed a dim light from east wing. Must be one of the other sinnies. She shrugged it off, trailing down the stairs only to return with her glass of water. It wasn't until she was nearly halfway to her bed chambers that she realized that those sinnies were still awake. Awake. She groaned inwardly, turning on her heel as she went down from the west wing to the east wing. She tried to remember which room this belonged to, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it as she approached it. She raised her hand up, knocking twice. What she didn't realize is that two sinnies were inside. She wondered what excuse they would come up with this time. Honestly, they really needed to focus more on their work rather than horse around. They had responsibilities, and even though some of the sinnies weren't kings and queens yet, they still needed to realize that the burden will eventually be placed upon their shoulders. Paine questioned herself if the others were truly fit to rule. Though she didn't even know if she herself was fit to rule. She would, unfortunately, never get her answer from herself.

Akira rose an eyebrow at the second knock and walked towards the doors. She paused a moment, wondering briefly who it could be this time. A part of her almost wanted it to be the boy she'd sent home earlier that night. Not because she'd enjoyed his presence but rather because it would make her seem wanted. Maybe then she could feel accepted. Afterall, even the other sinnies didn't like her, for the most part that was. With the exception of Setsuka, not that she had any reason to stick around. Akira was practically worthless, at least it seemed that way to her. Without her looks she would have nothing, it was only her ability to seduce and manipulate people that kept her relevant. Ironically it was also her appeal that kept people distant, it had created a reputation of sorts. A reason for people to question her motives, no matter the action.

Akira almost wanted to laugh. It seemed that all she could focus on was the curse she represented. Lust was a dangerous thing, and in her eyes a toxic thing. The other sinnies could see it, she was sure of it. Perhaps that was why they felt she was so irresponsible. Because everyone circled back to it. No matter what event it was: a meeting, a ball, formal dinners, it all ended the same. With her taking someone back to her rooms and usually sending them away completely unsatisfied and positively dripping with the accursed lust. Either way, no one could deny how effective her methods were. It was rare that anyone would disagree with her and if they did she was quick to remedy the problem. Sure, it was a bit manipulative but who ever said she had to play fair? She smirked at the thought.

Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she pushed the door open. Unfortunately it was not who she'd hoped for. Hiding her disappointment behind a mask of indifference, she nodded a greeting towards Paine. A small part of her was relieved , considering her position anyone else might have assumed something was going on between her and Setsuka. Afterall, that was what generally happened when people were left unattended in a room with her. Setsuka however defiantly wasn't for that and Paine wasn't one to jump to conclusions... she hoped. Akira's face flushed at the thought, but she quickly forced it away.
"Good evening," She smiled politely, pulling Paine into a hug "What are you doing here this late?" Her question was directed at both girls who'd arrived at her room unannounced. It was nice actually, a welcome distraction from her thoughts and a reminder that maybe she was a little hard on herself. Perhaps everyone didn't think as lowly of her as she tended to imagine. At least she hoped they didn't.
