Anyone roaming the street of Skyblue Town

With the humans gone, curious Pokemon started to wander into Skyblue Town. The likes of Taillows and Zigzagoons were regular visitors, even before human's departure, but now, those who came deeper from the island started to roam closer. An Abra found solace in the peacefulness of an abandoned bedroom. Several Zubats made new home in a forest outpost. A rare Absol entered the Pokemon's lab for unknown reasons. Slowly, the Pokemon made the town theirs.

Two Magnemites were rummaging through a house, P-Out and Zap. Well, mostly Zap. It was looking for delicious pokeblocks usually stored somewhere in the kitchen. Clang, bang! Pots and pans banged everywhere as it continued its search.

P-Out was more interested in something in the living room: a Pokegear. It remembered the photographer having one and talking to people with it. The screen on this one was dead. No matter how it poked and pressed the buttons like the photographer did, nothing happen... maybe it's out of power?

"Bzzzt! Bzzt!" (P-Out! Look!)

Zap broke P-Out's thoughts as it entered with something on its head. A frying pan, and on it, a book with pictures. P-Out looked, and tilted its body to ask, "Bzzt?" (Look what?)

"Bzzt!" (It's how to make yummy blocks!)

P-Out nodded thoughtfully. Yummy blocks Zap liked. Since they first met, yummy blocks were all Zap talk about, so it understand why Zap was excited. Zap continued excitedly. They just needed berries and put it into the machine and out come yummy blocks!

"Bzzt!" (Let's get berries!)

However, as they left the house...

"Bzt?" (Huh?)

"BZzzt!" (Ruuuuun!)

Zip flew in a panic, chased by a Kecleon with an angry look on his face. Zip barely dodged a punch by his, and hispunch punctured a deep hole in the ground. P-Out and Zap's expression changed, and they ran away.

Zip had been teasing the Kecleon over a Razz Berry, hovering with it just above the Pokemon's reach while slowly consuming the delicious berry. Who knew that the Kecleon knew Focus Punch and was this scary! Worse, his mimicked the ground and now shrugged off all electricity aimed at him!

"Bzzt?!" (Why are you following me?!)

"Bzzt!" (Don't leave me alone!)

P-Out was smart enough to hide back into the house, but Zap unconsciously followed Zip in a panic. Now, Zip refused to separate from it! The Kecleon rushed forward with a threatening hiss.

"I'll bury you to the ground!"

Hearing that threat, Zip and Zap could only do one thing.

""BZZZT!"" (HEEEELP!)

They ran toward the town square, where the space was the largest.

Thrynn left the large shed that her parents had made a cozy living space out of and scooped off into the middle of the dirt road. There, she found some rocks to play with and sat down, clanking then together.
"Why hello, jolteon rock. I am Marill rock. I know we might be different but-" she started taking to herself but felt a distant thud in the ground. After a moment, she continued.
"Hello... Marill rock. I-I'm Jolteon rock. I hope we... can... maybe be friends?" She asked gently to herself.
She was about to answer herself when another closer slam into the ground made her jump up. As she did, her smoke ball activated, creating a smokescreen around her. She waved her claws in front of her to disperse the smoke. A second later, two magnemite flew over heatd through the smoke. She watched them go then turned around in time to watch the keckleon fly through the smoke in a rage.
Thrynn watched as the focus punch was coming down, probably meant for the magnemite but it was directed square at her chest. She let out a surprised squeak as she barely avoided the attack with substitute before she scrambled after the magnemite on all fours in a panic. Her adrenaline narrowed her vision and her only thought was that the magnemite knew how to get away from the furious keckleon.

The mid-morning sun bore down through the clear blue sky of Skyblue Town as Estelle stretched, her paws padding along the paved roads. Having thin fur could be seen by some as a blessing at this time, though that meant it didn't do much for retaining heat either. There was always something to complain about in any situation. Keeping her meandering pace, Estelle closed her eyes. She could almost hear the sounds of humanity around her, their laughing voices, the sounds of their machinery, the smells of their food...

But that was all over now. She didn't need to stay in their houses or travel in their balls or submit to their experiments any more. She didn't come to places like this often, but something else drew her here today. Perhaps at the very least, she'd find some promising seeds or saplings. With that in mind, she jumped up onto the windowsill of a shop, squeezing close to the dusty glass pane to maintain her balance. Her senses reacted, her ears tingling ever so slightly with their strange energy. She blinked at her reflection for a moment. Perhaps in another life she would have been a Leafeon...

That was resigned to the realm of imagination, but what was real was that there were plants growing inside. She could sense them. If only she could get the window open...

Her consideration was interrupted by the sound of approaching commotion. It seemed like some of the more belligerent of Pokemon had gotten into a battle.

Not wanting to come into harm's way, Estelle dropped down, slinking under a nearby rack of flowerpots to observe the confrontation.

Anyone in the Square of Skyblue town;

Near Skyblue Town, on a hill with a forest to its' back, sat a desolated Dojo. The architecture had been a mixture of classical construction with a touch of modernism: concrete walls upholding an angled roof, leading into a brown beam with pointed ends. From afar, the dojo looked well-kept, but upon closer inspection, the decay became undeniably evident. Scratchings on the walls, rotten tiles on the roof, holes in the wire-mesh windows and the stone path that lead to it is fractalised with cracks. Deserted like the monsters on this island, but not abandoned. Deep inside, a figure skulked through the halls. The passages that were once filled with promise, now stood deathly dark. The beams of sunlight seeped through the cracks to illuminate the creature that wandered. A figure of brown with accents of a cream colour. It wandered with intent, memorising the damage present. Refusing to be crushed by the weight of his emotions.

It reached the entrance of the dojo then pushed the doors wide open. The wind rushed towards the inviting dojo, whistling past the hitmonlee. He breathed in the refreshing air of the new day. He had his work cut out for him. Immediately, the hitmonlee began stretching. Before anything could be done—there must be a warm-up. His spring-like legs extended then contracted, repeating several times. Jumping-jacks were next, followed by push-ups. Completing the sequence with three laps around the building. Now onto the real work, descending down the hill. He entered the forest with one goal. Collecting wood. His almond-shaped eyes carefully inspected each tree. Finding one of suitable quality, the hitmonlee bent his knees. Then turned his body and shoulders around while lifting his right leg to carry the momentum then shattering the tree's trunk with the left foot.

The tree began to wobble and a sound was released. "TIMBER!" A deep, closely-monotonous voice called. The hitmonlee pushed the tree, causing it to fall. The sound of straining wood, branches snapping, then the loud thud scared away many pokemon. There is no feasible way that the hitmonlee is carrying this tree all the way back like this. He knows this. That doesn't mean he won't chop it up into little sections with a knife-hand strike though. With these smaller, circular parts, the hitmonlee transported the fallen lumber up the hill. "Grrrrwl! (What's the big idea!)" A wild zigzagoon shouted while the hitmonlee carried the last of the parts. The hitmonlee furrowed his brow then faced the angry fellow. "Beat it, zippy." The threatening tone of his voice scared the feeble zigzagoon which promptly rushed off deeper into the forest.

Setting aside the newly acquired building material, the hitmonlee's stomach rumbled. Reminding him that he needed to venture into town to acquire food and other building materials. Like nails. Returning into his dojo to retrieve a memento from the past, he stepped out into the world adorned with an orange and black jacket.

It did not take long for him to reach Skyblue Town in a quick jog. But what he saw upon entering the square surprised him. A Kecleon chasing a duo of magnemites then attempting to strike with a punch. It struck a sneasel who jumped in the way of the attack to block. Vexed, the hitmonlee took off at lightning speeds. Calculating the distance, the hitmonlee jumped high in the air then somersaulted into a kicking form. The rock-hard sole of the hitmonlee met with the green face of the Kecleon, who was sent back flying. Its' body bounced once off the square then landed. The Hitmonlee stood straight up and cast a long shadow over the Kecleon. His entire body threatened it to do something so that he could could retaliate again.

E2FCFB1F-4A0A-489E-9FF6-60183CB50949.jpegThe town was a strange one. No humans in sight, but their relics were certainly left behind. The Bulbasaur that was laying in an overgrown flower garden had a passing ponder— what made them leave?

Chisa didn’t dwell long on the question. The only humans that didn’t ever scare her were the person she saw when she first hatched— the breeder, and the professor she had been given to.

With a stretch in the soil and a large yawn, revealing her two fangs, she rolled onto her side, content. Closing her red eyes, she soaked up the sun rays and was… just… about… to… zZ— BZZZT!

Startled from her almost-nap, she scrambled onto all fours, hopping in a circle frantically, accidentally stomping some of the nearby flowers down into a circular nest.

Her backend hit a flowerpot, knocking the fragile clay pot over with the sudden shift in weight. It cracked.

What what what?!

Soon, she caught a glance of the commotion and shuffled her front feet, gently, timidly, stamping the soil down as she fought with whether she should do anything or not.

As she looked beside her, noticing the row of flowerpots and the one she knocked over, she startled again when she spotted the Eevee.

Wah—! I’msorryforknockingtheflowerover!

Chisa brought her vines out, hoping to salvage the flower that she assumed belonged to the Eevee.

When she was holding a piece of the clay, that was when a Hitmonlee’s shadow passed overhead and she dropped it again, only making the situation worse.

Bud had been enjoying a lovely morning nap in a clearing in the forest when the distant shout of "Timber!" followed by an echoing thud and fleeing and screeching bird pokemon had him jolting awake with a gasp.

On his feet and suddenly alert, he quickly checked on his troublesome and loud sound spooked companion who was leashed at the end of his vine.... Keyword: was. Danny was nowhere to be seen. He must have gotten free and wandered off at some point.

"Oh, dear..." panicked Bud. "Danny!" he called. "Danny, where are you!" He received no reply.

The Deino was blinder than a Zubat, but you'd never know it from how confidently he tended to run off, explore, and get into trouble.

"Oh, no no no..." Bud fretted. "You better not have gotten lost or in to trouble!" He tended to talk to himself when he was worried.

He took a deep breath to calm himself and started to search for signs of Danny's passage. There- trampled weeds and a tree with a distinct bite mark. He just had to follow the trail.

Danny

Meanwhile, Danny was having a fun morning wandering around and bumping into and biting things. He went in a fairly straight line, confident he could find his way back to Buddy. If he got lost, he could just practice roaring. He knew Bud would come running.

After trotting forward for some time, occasionally feeling trees and plants with mouth, he ran headfirst into a hard surface. It didn't even knock him over. He tried to bite at it, but it was too big and flat. It felt like stone... With straight grooves in it.

"Oh!" he realized. "Wall!" He hadn't bit a wall in what felt like forever. He sat down to focus on his other senses. First, he sniffed. Yup. Smelt like a wall. Then, he listened. He didn't really know walls to make sounds on their own- he knew they blocked them, actually- but he could hear a commotion coming from somewhere ahead. Probably on the other side of the building?

He set off at a trot, running the side of his mouth along the wall as he went, feeling the regular grooves and the fun disrupted scraping sound until he hit the end and rounded the corner to continue, promptly tripping over a ledge, face first into what tasted like flowers. He took a bite to chew on and got right back up, continuing on his way, munching on his mouthful of petals, leaves, and possibly dirt.

He heard a voice that, to him, sounded a lot like Bud. He excitedly picked up the pace to greet his Buddy and immediately ran into what he didn't know was a flower pot, knocking it over and making it shatter. What a fun sound! "Buddy!" he said, happily sitting on the shards, his tail wagging. "You found me!"

"Hmm..hm-hm..hm-hm.." Walking along, Rene hummed very, very quietly to himself. He did it in such a way that it would be hardly noticeable, much less audible. Continuing in his silent, made up song, Rene soon found himself pausing suddenly in front of what remained of a house. Or, well, it kind of looked like a house. It was difficult to tell with how much nature had done to reclaim it.

Rene felt..something, looking at it. Like this sight should be pulling at a memory, and yet there didn't seem to be anything to pull. Tilting his head slightly, Rene frowned. Feeling wistful for reasons unknown to him was annoying.

Hopping up onto a crate that contained who knows what, Rene used it to add to his height, and in doing so could easily peer through the window -- if he stood on his tiptoes, that is. He couldn't really make anything out. It just looked dark in there, like this place hadn't seen the sun in centuries. So what was there to be feeling so..lost over?

Rene then took notice of his somewhat visible reflection in the window. His eyes automatically flicked to the blue ribbon that was tied around one of his ears. Oh, right, his ribbon..it was a precious treasure of his, which now that he thought about it, had a tendency to make him feel a similar emotion to what this rundown house does.

"
Ugh.." Okay. That was enough. Rene didn't feel like thinking about this anymore. Jumping off the crate, Rene scratched at his head as the craving for food began to tug at him. But just as he started throwing around ideas in his head of what to eat, a commotion nearby caught his attention.

BZZT!

His ears perking up, Rene followed after the sound, getting down onto all fours and taking off towards the square. He didn't really have a reason why, aside from his own curiosity. It could at least provide some needed entertainment.

When he arrived, Rene saw an unexpected sight. Two Magnemite seemed to be getting chased by some Kecleon. Rene's interest had started quickly fading, up until a Sneasel was almost hit in the chest. Watching it was enough to make him flinch. What happened next, though, definitely took him by something more than surprise.

A Hitmonlee seemed to come out of nowhere, jumping up in the air and sending the Kecleon flying. Rene winced when it landed, the shock he felt from witnessing such a feat was enough to make his cheeks start crackling with bits of electricity. Needing somewhere to go, the electricity discharged itself and zapped at the ground. It didn't really do much of anything, but it did serve as an unneeded reminder that Rene's electricity seemed to have a mind of it's own. Or at least, it likes to show up when Rene isn't in need of it.

Looking around, Rene quickly tried to back away and look for somewhere to hide. He did not want to catch anyone's attention, especially not that Hitmonlee's -- who knows, it might try to send Rene flying next!

But of course, these are not concerns that Rene would voice outloud. Of course not. He's never afraid of anything, after all. Nope, never at all. He just..did not expect to see this today. That's all.

"Ugh!" Estelle's view was blocked by the Deino that stood in her way, having apparently mistaken her for someone else. Another pot broke, just after the Bulbasaur did as well. She wasn't quite sure who "Buddy" was supposed to be, but it clearly wasn't her. Mildly annoyed, Estelle reared up on her hind legs, pressing her paws against the Deino's chest. "I'm not your Buddy, child."

Turning, she gave the frightened Bulbasaur a little nudge. "And that's not my flower. You should have been more careful, but we can't do anything about that now." Once again, she hopped onto the rack, then to the windowsill. The window was open ever so slightly, but Estelle's paws weren't able to reach underneath to undo the latch from the inside. They could open the door as well...but it probably opened outward, and would likely be too heavy for them either.

She glanced towards the square where the Hitmonlee didn't seem to be quite done with the Kecleon and Magnemite yet.

"You two. Can you open this?" She lightly bumped her own head against the glass for emphasis. "We can take cover inside here." It would be better for them to just split up and hide somewhere else if they were worried about being harmed, but this was a chance to further her own motives...

With the humans gone, Skyblue Town became a completely different place. Although Curri hadn't lived on the island for that long, even she could tell that much. Just by walking through the streets at her own leisurely pace, she met and saw pokemon she had never seen before, and she had travelled all over Hoenn! It was somewhat amazing how the absence of humans had affected things, and so quickly too.

Curri couldn't help but feel a bit out of place at times, surrounded by the vast mix of wild and recently released pokemon, since she was so used to interacting with humans. It was nice that she was not left completely in the wild though. The human-built town, though abandoned, was something she was at least more familiar with and gave her comfort being in. Although she felt that she would likely settle in town somehow, she had yet to decide on a permanent place to stay. There were too many... other matters her mind had been occupied with as of late.

Continuing her aimless wander through town, with the occasional taillow or swablu hitching a ride or rest on her back, she ended up witnessing an exciting scene in the Town Square today. Two magnemites and a sneasel were being chased by an angry-looking kecleon, the latter of which then suddenly faced the fury of a hitmonlee from the sky. Although bickers and quarrels weren't that uncommon from what she had seen in town, she had yet to see full on violence like this.

Just as Curri pondered heading over and asking about the whole event, the sound of crackling in her surroundings caught her attention first. Casually swivelling her head round to the source of the noise, she just located the culprit blue-ribboned pichu when they released an abrupt electric shock towards the ground. Blinking confusedly at them for a few moments, she trotted over to their side, only just noticing their apparent panic and fear as they tried to backtrack.

"Oh- Are you okay?" She inquired softly, altering her tone mid 'oh' to avoid scaring the little pokemon any further. Thinking back to the incident just now, and how some other pokemon around them were still watching the scene in shock, she came to her own conclusion. "Um... there's no need to be afraid. Bigger pokemon like me would probably get hit first if a fight actually broke out." Okay, perhaps not her best words of comfort, but it's all she could really come up with at the moment.

Though that strike to the kecleon's face seemed pretty devastating, she wasn't too fazed by it. Curri had witnessed a good few pokemon brawls and scuffles in her time too! Especially since her owner... uh, ex-owner, was fond of watching pokemon trainer tournaments when he could afford them.

"Bzt!" (I'm free!)
"Bzzt...!" (Traitor...!)

A puff of smoke obscured the Magnemites' vision. Zap used the chance to split away from Zip. It ignored Zip's complaint. Knowing Zip, it probably taunted the Kecleon first. Zip panicked. The Kecleon was faster than it! It ran toward a Sneasel to buy time before looking for a way to hide. However, the open space of the Town Square had little hiding spots around!

Then, BAM! A strong kick sent the Kecleon flying. Zap was in awe. A tall, strong Hitmonlee cladded in orange overshadowed the Kecleon in an intimidating silence. Zip was in awe. So it didn't see where it was flying and headed right into Thyrnn the Sneasel.

"Bzzt, bzzt!" (Haha, take that, you jerk! Now you know not to bully me!)

Zap jovially cheered from behind the Hitmonlee. It didn't know why the Hitmonlee helped it, but it got a helper now!

The Kecleon's Ground typing did not protect him from the kick. He slowly pulled his bruised body up, shivering at the Hitmonlee towering over it. His dirt-color turned rust, copying the Fighting typing of the punch, but it didn't stop him from being frightened by the Hitmonlee. So...

"Don't stop me, it stole my berry first!" He pointed accusingly at Zap, who immediately froze.

"Bzt? Bzzt!" (Your berry? I grabbed it first!)

"That's the berry tree I planted!"

"Bzt!" (Was not!)

"It's really- MINE!"

"Bzt?!"

Suddenly, from below, the shadow grabbed onto Zap... and smashed the Magnemite toward Jet-Jack! The Kecleon had used Shadow Sneak and was talking to buy time!

"Bzzt..." (Whew... who did Zip anger this time?)

"Excuse me, have you seen a Kecleon running around here?"

"Bzt?"

Thrynn barely heard the crash of the impact from the Hitmonlee saving them, as her attention was at the back of the magnemite in front of her. She was going to continue to follow until she realized that she no longer felt the crashing of feet behind her. Perking her ears, she turned around to see what was going on and was greeted with the cloud of dust settling from the Kecleon's impact. She curiously, yet still skittishly crawled up to the hitmonlee- prepared to flee at a moment's notice.

"Wow..." She let out as she got close. "You sure... Hit hard." She said as she rose to her hind legs. Out of curiosity alone, she was going to poke his leg, but didn't get a chance to get close as she watched the magnemite get thrown by a shadow sneak attack. As the fighting continued, she dashed to the other magnemite(zap) to avoid the attacks while it was distracted with trying to look for a place to hide and approached.

"Uh," She stared. "I-I'm sorry if I'm being nosy but..." She looked down then back up. "Why were you being chased?" Her voice was quiet and meek.

Alarmed by the sound of an unfamiliar voice, Rene turned around to face the source of it. His eyes met with that of a Numel's, who appeared to have some kind of concern for him. The embarrassment was very quick to rise on his face, especially once he fully processed her words.

"I-I'm fine! I'm not afraid!" He said in a not very convincing manner. "That--That was just..uh..nothing you gotta worry about! Got it?" Turning his back to her, he took one step forward, only for his ears to pick up on words being exchanged between one of the Magnemite and the Kecleon. Rene quickly froze, and in what felt like seconds, he watched as the Kecleon made use of Shadow Sneak, sending the Magnemite towards that Hitmonlee.

Rene flinched a second time, and not long after did his cheeks start to crackle with electricity once more, much to Rene's utter annoyance. "
Ugggh..You gotta be kiddin' me..!"

The electricity discharged itself again, heading towards one of the nearby houses. It hit its destination, striking the door, but just about barely making a mark. It wasn't very noticeable, if at all. Even so, Rene remained annoyed and quickly turned towards the Numel again, pointing at her like he had something to prove. "
Th-That's nothing you have to worry about either!" But he was shaking very, very slightly.

Anyone in the Square of Skyblue town;

The towering fighter watched the Kecleon as intensely as the sun scorching a desert. Fists and feet are ready to spring into action at the first sign of malicious intent. Shifting colour, the Kecleon turned from an earthy brown to coppery rust. He remembered certain Kecleons having the ability to change their nature, depending on what action they executed. The punch that it threw likely turned it into the same type of creature as Jet-Jack. A fighter. It didn't matter what the Kecleon was; Jet-Jack hopes that it can recognize the clemency being provided. For its' own sake. One of the magnemites spoke up from behind Jet-Jack, clearly emboldened by the arrival of its' protector. That is not a behaviour, Jet-Jack will tolerate so he'll have to correct that later.

Then the little reptile retorted and demanded Jet-Jack not to get in its way because of a berry. A berry... A FRICKING BERRY?!?! The warrior's fists began to shake, held back by the sensibilities imparted onto him. "All of this... Because of a FRUIT?!?!" Jet-Jack's once monotonous voice exploded into a thundering roar, almost electrifying the air around him. Then it happened, the ignorant lizard used another ability to throw the magnemite behind Jet-Jack towards him. His lightning-quick reflexes allowed him to spin around and catch the magnemite. But not without cost, it slammed into him strongly, pushing him back slightly. One screw had particularly dug into his leathery body. He pulled the magnemite off and inspected if his jacket had been damaged. Thank Arceus, it suffered no tears or rips. Jet-Jack tossed the magnemite to the side then returned to face the Kecleon. The indignant deed robbed the Kecleon of any hope that Jet-Jack would be merciful. "Bub, that was a mistake." Gone was the crashing resonance, returned was the calm.

Recognizing the move, Jet-Jack immediately closed the distance between him and the Kecleon. He would not allow him to change his mould again. A flurry of punches and kicks were sent flying.

The Deino said “Buddy” which she assumed was a name. She looked over at the Eevee. Were they this “Buddy” then? She knew that it wasn’t her.

The Eevee only then confirmed that they were indeed not “Buddy.” Oh, were they talking about her then?

The ear-like protrusions on the Bulbasaur’s head flitted back as she got gently scolded by the Eevee. Chisa could think of several excuses but only bowed her head slightly. “Sorry,” she softly spoke again.

The Eevee was then trying to get into the building. Chisa, forgetting that the Deino had probably then thought she was this “Buddy,” still hadn’t corrected him.

Looking at the slightly-opened window, Chisa slipped a vine underneath and undid the latch, pushing the window up as well so there was room for even the Deino to slip in.

Danny tilted his head with a frown. He didn't much appreciate being pushed, though he wasn't moved an inch. "Fuzzy? No. Not Buddy. Buddy is bubby." He jabbed his nose in the direction of the familiar floral Bulbasaur scent. "Hi, Buddy!"

Not long after that, there was the thunderous roar of the Hitmonlee across the square and the little Deino squeaked in fear and scrambled to press himself, quivering, against the Bulbasaur's side.

Meanwhile, Bud had just come to the top of a hill and got his first look at the town. It confused him for a moment, having no idea what he was looking at, but then he remembered being told that odd structures like those were where humans lived.

He groaned heavily. He wasn't particularly fond of humans. He liked to do his own thing, thank you, not be at the mercy of someone else's whims. He shook his head at the irony. "Oh, Danny, you're lucky I like you," he grumbled as he approached the town, hoping any humans would leave him alone.

He was hesitant to ring his bells where humans might hear, but it might be the only way Danny would find him. He couldn't just yell his name forever, though he did call out now and then.

Curri blinked a little confusedly at the pichu's sudden toughness. She didn't really believe his words, but she didn't feel there was any reason to press the matter further either. Nodding in response as he turned his back, she was prepared to go find something to eat and continue watching the show when the familiar sound of crackling reached her ears again.

Surprised, she turned back to the little pokemon as a zap of his electricity struck the door of a nearby house, leaving a faint black mark on the structure. She tried to recall if a pokemon had moved into that building, but could only silently hope that one hadn't. Blinking at the pichu dumbly again, she felt a bit lost for words, at least, until he addressed her once again with a point of his hand and stammering words.

"Alright, I believe you." She nodded after a pause, as she trotted back over to his side and plopped herself down, casually blocking the pichu from a group of spectating pokemon nearby. "It's nice that you're excited about the fight that's happening and all, but you don't want to start another one do you?" She inquired gesturing her head towards the minor damages the pichu's discharges had caused. "There are also some with wings and fins around you know." Curri mentioned casually, nibbling on a few of the wild plants by her feet. "It's fine if you hit me though, it won't affect me much."

Either way, the window was open and they could enter. Estelle didn't actually care too much about avoiding the Pokemon that were still locked in battle, but being in the building meant brick walls and a solid wooden door between them and any...combatants.

"Well done, young one." She gave Chisa a nod of approval as she slipped past the window, hopping down and landing quietly on the dusty floor within the shop. "I think that entitles you to a share of what we find."

The shop seemed to be a florist, or at least some kind of gardening supplier. Many of the plants that remained were wilted, though a few that rested on shelves in the center miraculously hung on thanks to the water dripping steadily from holes in the ceiling. Perhaps a water tank had ruptured, or rain was gathering in the ceiling...

In addition to live plants, seed packets and bags of dried berries sat around the shop. Typical things like Sitrus Berries or Aspear Berries, but...

Estelle ducked behind the counter. Just as she'd suspected, an almost empty bag of Roseli Berries sat, torn open near the bottom. Without more than a moment's thought, Estelle grabbed one in her mouth and chewed it, shaking herself in satisfaction as her energy returned. "Go ahead, help yourself." She glanced at Chisa, wondering if the Deino would follow as well.

It took Zap some manuevering so it didn't crash into Thyrnn. Her predator-like appearance had Zap wary. Not because it was afraid to get eaten, but because it didn't want to get attacked suddenly. So, the quiet question that came lowered his guard.

"Bzzt!" (Don't ask me, ask Zip!)

Zap harrumphed and tilted his round body up at Zip, who was bragging around the Hitmonlee. It did nothing! It just wanted to look for berries to make yummy blocks and got caught in the chase!

"Bzz... bzt?" (Zip probably started it too, like last time with the Wingull... wait, what are you?)

Zap hovered around Thyrnn with a curious look. It never saw a Sneasel before, and Thyrnn didn't look like a Sableye, or a Mawile... during their conversation, the fight was starting again! Zap had an alarmed look when a Psybeam nearly hit where they were. They probably shouldn't be staying there.

---

While Jet-Jack tangled with Zip and his jacket, the Kecleon took the chance to put some distance between them. He didn't get far before Jet-Jack returned to his face. He evaded the Hitmonlee's movement with an uncharacteristic nimbleness. His tongue, his tail, all substituted his less mobile limbs in avoiding and defending against Jet-Jack's flurry.

"You meddler... will pay!" The Kecleon opened his mouth. A purple beam charged up, directed at the Hitmonlee...!

"Bzt!" (Take this!)

But suddenly, a shock of electricity coarsed through. The Kecleon's expression distorted. The brief paralysis stopped his movement long enough for a splendid front kick to hit his chin, sending the Kecleon flying. The Psybeam swept at structures, damaging buildings before shooting at full power to the sky and disappearing. Zip hovered jovially from the distance, taunting at the Kecleon.

"Bzzt!" (Haha, don't forget I'm still here!)

The Kecleon bounced back to his feet, glaring at Jet-Jack and Zip with a scowl. He was no longer attacking forward, instead waiting carefully for their moves, trying to Detect their movement ahead.

---

A purple beam shot at the blue sky, surprising a flying Taillow. P-Out tilted its head. It had seen that beam before, from a Meditite.

"Bzt?" (Psybeam?)

"Let's hurry."

"?!"

Before P-Out could react, it was already grabbed and carried in a mad rush toward the town square.

As the magnemite seemed interested in her, she felt a jolt of happiness at meeting someone new. Even if that someone new almost ran her over and got her absolutely knocked out. She gave a sweet looking smile to hopefully lower their guard further. Mother always said that to make friends, you want them to be comfortable around you. Father always said that introducing yourself was a great start. And the magnemite had just asked about her. She was so excited she almost forgot to respond.

"O-oh yeah. I'm a sneasel. We're not very common on the island, but my parents liked it here. Said it was more welcoming to young pokemon. Good community and all." She seemed to be getting more confident as she continued to speak. "My name's Thrynn, what's your-" Thrynn nearly jumped out of her skin when she realized the fighting had started and they were nearly blasted with the startings of a move. She wasn't aware yet that it wouldn't really hurt her being a dark type against a psychic move, so she immediately jumped into her instincts to flee.

"This way, I know a place to hide from the fight." She jumped up, grabbing the magnemite by the right bolt as if it were a hand and tried to lead it into a fairly sheltered alleyway between three buildings. When she got behind some boxes, stopped and glanced around them to check out the fighting. Seeing it was still going, she sat down. She had so many things she wanted to talk about with the new pokemon she met. But first thing's first, get introductions in and see where it goes from there.

Rene returned his arm to his side, a bit taken aback. "Y..You do?" He asked, the Numel apparently placing belief in his words, which even he didn't think sounded all too convincing. He was relieved she wasn't pushing the issue much though. It was already embarrassing enough that she witnessed him like this.

Frowning, he sent her a wary look when she trotted over to his side and sat herself down. He glanced up at her, wondering what her motives were, before quickly looking away from her and crossing his arms. His eyes flicked back to her moments later, though, when she spoke again. He was quick to react at the insinuation that he could start another fight.

"
I-I'm not trying to start anything..!" He said a bit loudly, as if that would help get the words through. After a good few seconds of silence, he then placed his hand on one of his cheek pouches, voice quieter as he mumbled. "It just..happens. The electricity. It's not..on purpose." The embarrassment crawled back through him, so he kept his eyes trained on the ground. "I can't control it." He admitted very quickly and spoke in more of a whisper, like it was a secret. Which maybe it was. Rene didn't like to talk about it often.

He fidgeted a little with his hands at the mention of the ones with wings and fins. His face scrunched up with displeasure. "
Well they should stay away then." His ears drooped down a tiny bit, unbeknownst to him. "..if they don't wanna get hit." He added.

His hands pressed together, and he gave her a small glance. It's fine if he hits her? Wouldn't it affect her? Just as he opened his mouth to respond, he heard something. Taking a few steps forward so he could see around the Numel, Rene's eyes widened when he saw that Kecleon being sent flying again. It looks like a Psybeam had done some damage to the surrounding buildings, until it finally shot up into the sky.

Backing up towards the Numel, he pressed his back against her like she was a wall. He couldn't help but to cover his eyes. "
It's getting...a little scary over there." He said with hesitation, like confessing such a thing was wrong somehow.

Curri
Town Square, Skyblue Town

Curri's ears wiggled slightly as she listened to the pichu's words. She looked as disinterested and dull as ever, as was normal for a pokemon of her kind, but she was listening attentively, especially once his words quietened down to a whisper. "I understand, I'm not blaming you. Don't worry." She responded after a quiet pause. It wasn't in her nature to pry into things, so she felt a bit guilty hearing him admit something sensitive to her, a strange pokemon he had just met. She pondered if she had accidentally pressured him into explaining himself.

With her thoughts wandering, she only regained focus on the battle in the town square when the noise of a brutal strike making contact resounded. As the little pichu circled round her, Curri widened her eyes in alarm and watched as the kick to the chin led to the charged psybeam leaving a growing diagonal laser mark of building damage. A little taillow, one that had hitched a ride on her back earlier and gave her a berry as a gift afterwards, was particularly close to the scene, just casually flying through the air at the wrong moment. Immediately, Curri attemped to cast a protective shield around them, but by the time it finally appeared, the beam had already drastically altered direction just in time.

Wow, I'm slow. Though relieved, she couldn't help but think as the green shield of protect quickly faded away. She should really practice that more often, who knows when an incident like this would happen again.

Fortunately, most of the beam ended up directed towards the sky. Though the squawks and yelps of those that had been close to the beam sounded in her surroundings, making the whole situation feel a bit more tense and unpredictable.

Looking back to the pichu as he spoke, having not noticed that he was leaning against her until now, she cautiously got up from her position and nudged him to a bit of a safer spot. "It really is." She responded simply, as she walked to a pile of clean crockery that were laying on a sink close to an open kitchen window. Reaching her head in, she nudged a big saucepan onto her head and picked up a smaller one to be carried in her mouth. Trotting back to the pichu, she carefully plopped it on his head and assessed her handiwork with a nod. "For protection, in case something lands on our heads. Looks like that kecleon is still able to fight, so, there might be more building damage."

Though she said and did all that, in reality she pondered whether they should just find better cover, and watch the scene from inside a building or something. Opening some doors was a hassle though. "We shou-" Cutting herself off, she paused for three seconds as she figured out how to rephrase this in a way that would better convince the tough little guy to come with her. Maybe it was unneeded, but she wanted to be a bit more considerate, even if her mood has been a bit bad as of late. "I'm a little afraid of being out in the open like this, do you want to maybe take cover with me?" She inquired with a tilt of her head, her saucepan rattling slightly in response.

Anyone in the Square of Skyblue town;

As the fighter jabbed, kicked and struck, he noticed that his strikes were being evaded. It is unprecedented. Even experienced fighters in the past have had difficulty dodging Jet-Jack, yet this little Kecleon is succeeding. He'll have to enact punishment for such sloppiness. McCarthy would never allow something like this to occur. But fortune struck as the little magnemite that boasted heavily had made itself useful as a living taser. Just in time too as Jet-Jack was about to be the victim of a psychic type move. Though the kick to his chin sent the Kecleon flying, it did not stop the charged blast from firing. The purple-pinkish beam had devastated the surrounding area before dissipating into the sky. This is growing increasingly dangerous, not just for Jet-Jack or the Kecleon but for the denizens. From a sentimental point, Jet-Jack also did not wish for the city to be destroyed. He still had pleasant memories from yesteryears.

In Jet-Jack's brain, an analysis of his opponent was being constructed. Up to this point, it had displayed three unique moves. Focus Punch - a fighting type move, Shadow Sneak - a ghost type move, and Psybeam - a psychic type. If McCarthy were here, she'd be able to tell that this is not an ordinary Kecleon because of the inclusion of focus punch. A move that Kecleon doesn't naturally gain. Unlike her, however, Jet-Jack never had to study his opponents beyond the confrontation. Thankfully, that Kecleon had already revealed its' hand by dodging hitmonlee's attacks. It must have had a trainer.

In the briefest of moments, Jet-Jack's eyes darted left to right to survey his surroundings. He noticed some pokemon hiding, one of them had a saucepan? Strange. His gaze returned to face the Kecleon who had recovered from the kick. At the moment, it was going to shift to a psychic form and Jet-Jack's blows would be severely reduced in strength. There was no time to postulate on what the fourth move could be. Though Jet-Jack expected it to be a supportive ability as having four manoeuvres that dealt damage would prove to be unwise.

He removed his jacket, exposing his scarred body. "Keep this safe." He told Zip as he hung the jacket from one of the screws. This next attack from the Kecleon would either hit or miss. Regardless, it'll be Jet-Jack's chance to end the fight cleanly.

"Danny?" Bud called out, ringing the bells dangling from one of his vines as he wandered the streets.

There were no humans in sight. Only roving wild Pokemon. He'd called out to a Wingull and asked if it had seen a black and blue pokemon with four legs wander through nearby. It hadn't.

Eventually, he wandered close enough to the square to hear the fight. It didn't sound like a friendly altercation. Bud made his way there at a run, hoping Danny hadn't bitten the wrong Pokemon again.

Was that- a beam in the sky?

"Please, please, please, please-" he muttered to himself until he burst onto the scene to find an intense battle between some kind of fighting Pokemon and a Kecleon with what looked like a few floating steel types and some kind of bipedal furry Pokemon on the sidelines.

Bud made a quick sweep of his surroundings. No Danny. Danny tended to shy away from especially loud noise and knew to stay away from a fight until he was bigger. If he had been here, he wasn't now. There was only one way to find out, and it wouldn't be very effective to ask during a fight.

He tried first anyway.

"Excuse me?" he called out to the two dueling Pokemon. "I have something really important I need to ask if you could both settle down for a moment?"

No avail. They were apparently a little too preoccupied.

Bud sighed. He walked calmly around the edge of the action until he was upwind of it and let his bulb open partially. The breeze carried the sleep powder directly toward the two. He'd used this trick on his little siblings plenty of times.

Zap disliked being dragged by the bolt, but with how the fight was going, he had no complaint. Just as soon as they entered, however, the ruckus outside resided.

"...bzt?" (Should we check it out?)

The time Jet-Jack let by was enough for the Kecleon to shift his color. Rust, to purple. Psychic, as the Hitmonlee predicted. With a threatening hiss he charged forward, the same purple energy gathering in his mouth. He would not miss this time. Not if he is closer. The psychic typing allowed the Kecleon to be more reckless. He tanked more hit, but kept his mouth aimed at Jet-Jack. He could win this...!

"This is...?" A drowsiness overwhelmed the Kecleon. The psychic energy he gathered dissipated. A strong kick connected to his heavy body, sending the Kecleon flying.

"Got you."

A figure caught the Kecleon's unconscious body before it hit the ground. A Grovyle. Seeing the bruises all over the Kecleon, the Grovyle sighed.

"May I ask why you were fighting?" he asked Jet-Jack and Bud, who he assumed was with the Hitmonlee.

Seeing the situation might not be good for it, Zip tries to sneakily sneak off...

"Bzt!" (Ow!)

However, a disoriented P-Out knocked into Zip. Jet-Jack's jacket now covered its sight. It wasn't going anywhere soon.

Chisa
Location: In Old Gardener's Shop?
In Scene: Estelle ( Nellancholy Nellancholy ) | Danny ( CyberJackal CyberJackal )

1647102887846.pngChisa was going to deny being Buddy, but the roar of another Pokemon from Town Square and the Deino cuddling up next to her kept her from doing so.

Because she also squeaked, jerking her vines, causing the window to lower slightly. She caught herself though and re-lifted it.

As soon as the Eevee was inside the building, Chisa looked at the Deino and urged him up the window.

Whether he took the offer for help or not, by the time the Psybeam unleashed, Chisa found herself scrambling up and over, tumbling onto the ground inside, curling her vines back within herself.

The release of the window didn’t allow it to fully close. Must not have been completely messed up through time.

Chisa’s ears waggled at the compliment from the Eevee, whom she was starting to feel had more life experience than herself. “Th-thank you,” she said.

Though Chisa wasn’t at all interested in what was inside the human-wrought building. It was dark, dusty, and had no sky light.

Looking around, her red eyes looked for the water drips she could hear.

The sound of the Eevee’s voice telling her to help herself, the female Bulbasaur looked back over at the bag of dried berries torn open.

Ah, I’d rather save that for the Pokemon who need it. I ate a couple days ago and it’s been plenty sunny so I’m fine. Thank you though.

An idea was coursing through her mind as she padded around, seeing the seed packets. She could smell what those seeds could become and thought about the overgrown garden outside.

... I wonder if we can plant these,” Chisa unfurled one vine and picked up a seed packet to bring closer to herself.
