Autumn has come once again, and it's time for the biggest party of the season! Monsters from all over Ryken come to Vansyltrania Keep to socialize and catch up, letting their hair down, allowing themselves one night a year to party at the biggest and most exclusive Monster gathering in all of Ryken. What could be in store for the partygoers this year?
Setting: Ryken, Deep in the Forest
Location: Vansyltrania Keep
Weather: Chilly, Cloudy, Windy
Time of Day: 3pm
There was a flurry of activity in Vansyltrania Keep as preparations were made for what was considered by most monsters the best time of the year. When the air chilled, when wind swept fallen dried leaves in circles in the air- when darkness started to creep up earlier and earlier to replace the light. It was advent of autumn, and with it came the celebration of the supernatural and the spooky- the Monster Bash. At this extremely exclusive event, guests were invited to greet old friends, make new ones, and most importantly, let their monster side out. This was an event where all with an invite were made to feel welcome- that this was one of the few places where monsterkind could be themselves and not be shunned, murdered, or killed for it.
Alucard "Luc" Vansyltrania walked around his mansion purposefully, surveying as the finishing touches were put to the decorations that celebrated the coming of autumn, as well as making sure everything was . Various foods were swiftly put out- a feast of delicious foods that would feed a variety of palates; exotic meats ranging from chicken and beef to the more...unorthodox for the carnivores, rich greens of all kinds for the herbivorous bunch, rich, thick blood for those similar to his kind. Whatever a monster craved, it would be here for them to enjoy- as the cooks would ensure the guests would find the food exactly to their liking.
Those in his employ- other monsters who needed places to live and wages to feed their families were working tirelessly to make sure the place was spotless- that this event would go off without a hitch. The band was setting up in the corner- an odd mix of wolven and orcish players who could play a variety of music on demand were tuning their instruments, drinking tea, and making their final sound checks, while other entertainment was being set up in various corners of the mansion for his esteemed guests.
Luc himself couldn't quite enjoy the function as he was the host and event planner all rolled into one, but he enjoyed the slow anticipation, the buildup to the Monster Bash as he planned tirelessly to make the event at the very least as successful as the last. Barring the Monster Bash of ten years ago...well, he worked tirelessly to make sure that never happened again. Guests would be filtering in soon, and he was determined to meet each of them, and make them feel welcome tonight- and to make sure no humans intruded on his party. He could let his fangs out when the guests arrived, but right now, he was still as human-looking as possible- until his guests arrived, of course. He was the host, and if he wasn't showing his monstrous nature off, then who else would?
