"Fine whatever, it's not like we have anything better to do," Sayaka sighed. "Lead the way, Madoka."

Meanwhile, a battle has begun between the two girls.

"You could run away, you know. No one would blame you," the stranger sneered. She tried to knock Kagome over again but missed. "How are you moving so quickly? It's pissing me off..."

"Take a wild guess," Kagome responded, dodging another attack with ease. "If that Akemi girl can manipulate time then there's no reason I shouldn't be able to manipulate space as well."

"Spacial manipulation huh? Doesn't that take up, like, a ton of magical energy? I can just keep fighting until you wear yourself out."

"You could. But that wouldn't be very satisfying for you, would it? You wouldn't have the patience to carry out such a strategy," Kagome smirked. She knew she was right.

"Smartass..." the other girl scowled. "Just die!"

Madoka nodded and motioned for the two others to follow her. She ran as fast as she could in attempt to get to Kagome faster. If she was in danger then at least Madoka would want to lend a hand. Madoka gasped, "Sayaka I think she's battling with someone! Let's hurry!" The group ran faster in order to try to catch up to the new girl.
Terra did her best in order to keep with with them. It felt as though Madoka and Sayaka had way more energy then her. She didn't want to stop thought and kept on pushing through.
Once they caught up Terra pointed, "There's Kagome! And who is that?"

"Oh god..." Sayaka stared at the two girls fighting. "That's... Kyoko. She's really territorial. Tried to kill me once..."

Kyoko kept attacking, but Kagome kept dodging. Kyoko finally managed to land a hit on her, sending her flying backwards into a wall. Kyoko then tried to pin her down, but Kagome was too fast, moving out of the way a split second before. She knocked Kyoko down, seemingly just trying to escape the fight rather than win it.

"I don't want to waste my energy fighting over some stupid territorial boundaries," Kagome said while taking a few steps back.

"You're just afraid," Kyoko got up again, relatively unscathed. "The only thing left for a cocky b*tch like you to do is to go to hell and leave the rest of us alone. It's kill or be killed, dumbass."

"Says you." Kagome's simple but sarcastic reply only makes Kyoko even more angry.

(Edit: Sorry I had to censor that it was just on instinct xD I was raised too well I guess)

"Stop fighting you two!" Terra yelled at the girls. "You're magical girsl you fight against the same thing right? So why are you fighting against each other? Shouldn't you all be working together?"

Madoka put a hand on Terra's shoulder and smiled. Then Madoka walked closer, "Kyoko can we stop this fighting for tonight? We'll leave right away. Please just leave Kagome alone." Madoka was going to do her best to keep the peace. Whether this would be accepted all depended on Kyoko.

Terra watched Madoka try to take control of the situation. Despite what Madoka looked like Terra thought she was cool for trying to be the peace keeper.

"This is none of your business! She came into my territory and started acting all sassy so now she needs to be taught a lesson!" Kyoko tried to attack Kagome again. It was a hit.
Kagome seemed to be moving slower than before. She was growing tired and had little will to fight in the first place. Her soul gem had started to become cloudy again; she was using too much magic.

"Kyoko stop it! You're going to kill her," Sayaka yelled.

"That's the point, idiot!"

Without even thinking Terra ran out to get in between Kagome and this other girl, "Please stop it!" Terra raised her arms out, "If you need to beat up someone then take your anger out on me! I won't let you use Kagome like she's your punching bag."

Madoka gasped as she wasn't expecting Terra to just run out like that, "Terra what are you doing get back here?! Kyoko please stop it! Can't you see Kagome has had enough." She didn't want to but if Madoka had to she would get involved and transform back into her magical form to stop Kyoko.

After a moment, Kyoko only scowled, knowing she was outnumbered. "Fine. But if I ever see any of you in my territory again..." she drew her finger across her neck in a threatening gesture.
Her weapon disappeared, as did Kagome's. Kyoko turned and started walking away.

"You jerk! You can't just kill people whenever you want!" Sayaka yelled after her.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Kagome finally spoke up. "It's best not to test a magical girl's patience when she's had enough of your crap already."
Kagome was injured, but not too badly. A few cuts here and there, but nothing life-threatening. As for her soul gem, - which she did her best to hide - it wasn't looking too good. She'd run out of grief seeds but refused to ask anyone for help.

Terra sighed in relief now that was over with. Then she turned and noticed that Kagome wasn't looking too good. "Are you alright? You don't look so good." That's when she noticed Kagome's gem, "Why is your gem looking like that?"

When Terra pointed out the gem Madoka looked, "You need to purify your gem it's getting corrupted. I can give you a grief seed so you can use it." Madoka took one out and attempted to hand it to Kagome. Hopefully Kagome wouldn't be stubborn about it. Madoka had a concerned look on her face, "Terra's right we should be working together. We have this one to spare. Please take it."

"I told you before, I don't want your help," it looked like Kagome was going to refuse them again.

Then Sayaka, who'd finally had enough, went and grabbed her by the shirt collar and practically screamed at her; "When are you going to get it through your thick skull that we're trying to save your life? You are literally going to die if you don't purify your soul gem right now."

That did it, and the slightly intimidated Kagome accepted the grief seed.

Terra felt relieved so see Kagome accepted the help. She wouldn't know what to do if Kagome had kept refusing their help. For sure Terra wouldn't be able to do something like what Sayaka did. Thankfully they managed to get through to her, "I'm happy you're okay now. I know you don't want help but we can be there for you."

Madoka nodded, "We're here to help if you need to. Just please try not to steal people's witches. As you see it may cause issues. We can offer up some of our territory. It's a pretty big space so I think it should be fine.

Terra looked at the time, "Guys I'm going to need to hurry up and get home. I don't mean to rush but I sort of don't feel like getting in trouble."

"I know I've been causing a lot of trouble. I'll probably just move back to my old place..." Kagome paused, thinking for a moment. "I might as well go back to my own city, since you all clearly don't want me here. There's probably another magical girl there already, though. I'll just have to take back my territory..."

"Were you listening to a single thing any of us just said?" Sayaka replied, sounding a bit annoyed.

Kagome shot her a slight glare. "I only came here because my dad disappeared overseas and I couldn't afford to pay tuition at that stupid academy. A lot of magical girls - like that Kyoko jerk probably - just skip school anyway."

"So you're going to drop out?"

"Most likely. But it's none of your business," Kagome turned on her heel and walked away, towards her house.

Terra called out to Kagome, "Wait why not stay here? We can help you out. I'm sure there's a way. I know I'm not a magical girl but I want to help in any way that I can."

Madoka spoke up next, "It's up to you if you want to drop out. I however think you should stay. The more magical girls we have to easier it is to take care of witches. I have noticed more popping up more than usual around here. There'll be plenty of them to share. I would hate to see you go." It was then that Madoka reached her hand out, "Please let us help you with whatever you are going through. I'm sure I can convince my parents to let you stay if you need a place to crash." Madoka smiled at Kagome it hopes that her act of kindness will reach Kagome.

Kagome was silent for a long moment.
"You guys are idiots, all of you, if you think I could be of any help to you. I have my own city, my own territory that I should really get back to."

"There's probably another magical girl there already," Sayaka objected. "Are you just going to kill them, then? To take back your territory? You'd be just as bad as Kyoko."

"Don't pretend like you understand me!" Kagome yelled, not even bothering to turn around to face them. "I'm not the kind of person you'd want as an ally. I can't do anything right. My mother is dead because of me!"

"Didn't Mrs. Hisa pass away in a gang shooting while visiting the United States? How could that possibly be your fault?" Of course, as always, Sayaka said the completely wrong thing.

Growing increasingly upset, Kagome used her spacial manipulation magic to basically teleport over and slap her for being so insensitive. "My mother was killed by a witch, dumbass! That's when I made my contract, we both got caught in a labyrinth and not a single person showed up to help us! And then of course, my father decided to dump me in a boarding school and move overseas!"

"Stop it!" Terra got in the middle of the two and turned to Kagome, "I'm sorry you had to go through that but that isn't our fault. I can't imagine what you went through but that doesn't mean you can treat us like shit! We're out here trying to help you. We want to be there for you but we can't do that if you push us away. If you guys work together then you can prevent that from hapening to anyone else. You might not have anyone but you have us."

Madoka nodded, "We can here for you. You don't have to be alone anymore. What do you say Kagome?" Madoka still had her hand reached out to Kagoma as she smiled at the other girl.

Terra saw what Madoka was doing and also reached her hand out as well, "I want to be there for you too. We all do. Please let us be there for you." Terra smiled at Kagome.

"I..." she started tearing up, but stood up straight, trying to project confidence as she did before. "I'll think about it." She turned and ran, full-on bolted away from them.

"What the hell was that?" Sayaka said what they were all thinking.

Kagome didn't stop running until she reached her city. It was about an hour away from Mitakihara, but with her magical abilities, she arrived within ten minutes. Once she got there, she started walking, keeping her use of magic to a minimum since there could be other magical girls around. The world started to warp around her and she looked up. A labyrinth had formed.

"Now, of all times?" She made her way towards the witch, but sure enough, someone else was already fighting it. They finished it off and the world returned to normal. Only then did they notice Kagome.

"Kagome?" It was a girl she recognized from Ojou-sama Academy. Her voice took on an annoyed tone. "What are you doing here?"

"Just visiting my city."

"Your city?" she laughed, before glaring at her in disgust. "You abandoned this city. And guess what happened after you left, when there was no other magical girls around to help?" she paused to let Kagome consider what could have happened. "A witch showed up at the academy. Cursed the whole damn school. At least twenty students had committed suicide before I showed up and killed the witch, because unbeknownst to them, I had ditched school to go into town..." she shook her head. "Get the hell out of here. I have no problem with killing you if you don't get out of my city."

Kagome took a few steps back, trying to process what she had just heard. The girl yelled at her to leave again, and this time she listened. She took a train back to Mitakihara, sitting in stunned silence.

Madoka was the first one to speak, "Let's leave her be for now. I don't want to upset her more than she already is. First we'll get Terra home so we know she is safe."

With that the group escorted Terra back to her home. Terra still had a few more questions so she began to ask them as they walked, "So there's limitations on your power?"

Madoka nodded, "You see our soul gems get corrupted as we use our magic but as long as we use a grief seed to purify it then we'll be fine. We have to fight witches to get those. It's good to try to have extra on hand just in case. We do a lot in the shadows of the city. Don't worry to much about it. You should take time to think about this before making a decision."

"I could stay with her for now and talk more if she has anymore questions. Don't worry Terra no one else will be able to see me," Kyubey spoke as it jumped onto Terra's shoulder.

Terra smiled, "Thanks Kyubey and thank you both for walking me home. I'll be fine. I'll see you tomorrow at school." Then Terra waved to the girls as she made her way into her home. Just as Kyubey said it looked as though no one noticed the creature on her shoulder. Terra manged to eat dinner and get ready for bed in peace. She just couldn't get rid of all the thoughts she had about tonight. Deep down she hoped that Kagome would show up for class but that remained to be seen.

Next morning Terra got up and did her morning routine. As Kyubey said still no one seemed to be able to see this cat thing. Terra found it interesting and couldn't help but giggle to herself. Once she was ready she hurried out the door to school.

Kagome had forgotten to set her alarm. She got back to her house in the middle of the night and cried herself to sleep. So, she didn't wake up in time for school. She tried to fall asleep again, but to no avail. Memories, visions, thoughts, and feelings tormented her.

"Was it my fault...?" she said to no one in particular. The house was empty except for her. The silence became almost tangible, weighing down on her. "Tousan?" she called out halfheartedly. She knew she had to accept it eventually. Her father wasn't coming back. Neither was her mother. Tears dripped onto the pillow. She hadn't realized she was crying again. She didn't notice her soul gem growing dark with corruption. At this rate, she would fall into despair...

"Hey, get up already dumbass!" she looked up when she heard a voice outside her window. "Yeah, I know you remember me. Come outside. I wanna talk."

"Get the hell off my property, Kyoko." Kagome replied in a flat tone. "You're just going to attack me again."

"Jeez, so we have one little fight and now you hate me? I wanna help, you know. Or were you just gonna let your soul gem turn black and wait to become a witch?"

"What about my soul gem?" she quickly glanced at it and realized, to her horror, that Kyoko was right. But she'd run out of grief seeds again... The window latch clicked and the window slid open. Through it came a grief seed. Kagome caught it with ease.

"It should be good for one more use," Kyoko explained. "Purify your soul gem and get out here. School's already started and I'm not gonna let you lay around feeling sorry for yourself all day!"

Kagome did as she asked, purifying her soul gem once more and then rushing to get dressed. Kyoko was waiting by the front door when she came outside.
"Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden?"

Kyoko laughed, "Nice? C'mon now, you're gonna make me look like some weak-ass magical girl who actually cares about other people. Nah, it's simpler than that. We're not in my territory, so I have no reason to kill you right now. That doesn't make us friends or anything."

Terra went about her school day with Madoka and Sayaka. At least for Terra and Madoka they were sad to see the Kadome hadn't come to school. Terra had hoped that Kagome would be alright. Even eating at the lunch table Terra was distracted after thinking about the events of yesteday.

Madoka made sure to reasure Terra that things would turn out alright and the'll see Kagome again. Afterall everyone except Terra was a magical girl.

With that in mind Terra began to think of what sort of wish she would want to make. It was clear that her mind was made up and that she would want to join the girls as a magical one. Kyubey would still be hanging around and thanks to them they allowed to talk about all the magical girl stuff through telepathy. That way no one on the outside would hear them talk about such things.

Madoka made sure to remind Terra to take her time on her wish and that they would show Terra what they do.

So soon the school day ended and Terra walked with Madoka and Sayaka to catch and destroy a witch. At least Terra would just watch for now until she was sure what her wish would be.

Kagome and Kyoko had been hanging out around the city all day, with a few quick breaks to kill a witch here and there. They were the only people their age around, since everyone else was still at school. They had no parents to control them, so they had absolute freedom. Right now they sat at an outdoor table at a popular cafe, just talking. Kyoko had gotten food for herself, but Kagome didn't.

"At least you made a wish for yourself, and not for anyone else. If you made a wish for someone else's benefit, you'd end up regretting it," Kyoko said, munching on a biscuit.

"Yeah, I guess so," Kagome replied, absently watching Kyoko eat.

"You spacing out over there? You're not overthinking stuff, are you? You made a contract, and there's no going back now, so you might as well just live your life to the fullest. No regrets, right?"

"No regrets..." Kagome sighed. "I just wish I made a contract sooner. I could have saved my mom from that witch, and then my dad wouldn't have left me here."

"Hold up, you mean to tell me your dad up and abandoned you?"

"He went overseas and never came back. I think he's somewhere in America now."

"That's so not cool... If I ever meet your dad, I'm gonna beat the crap out of him."

"I don't think you'll ever get to meet him anyway," Kagome noticed someone across the street. "Hey look, there's those other girls."

"What about them? You know, I fought that blue haired one once, what's her name? Sayaka? I totally would have won but another magical girl showed up and broke up the fight."

"So that's a common thing with you, huh? Getting into random fights with magical girls..."

"Only if they're hunting witches in my territory!"

Soon enough while they were all walking Madoka stopped everyone, "I sense a witches labyrinth nearby. Stay close to us Terra. Sayaka get ready." Madoka lead the way as she had transformed once they were out of sight of people.

Terra felt nervous thinking how they found one so quickly. Even if she felt scared she knew she would be okay as long as Madoka and Sayaka were near her. After all she wouldn't be able to do anything in this situation. Unless she made a wish then she could help.

Once they got to the entrance Madoka stopped and turned to Terra, "Are you ready to go? It can get a little scary in here. Plus I have a feeling that this witch is a powerful. But don't worry you have Sayaka and I here to protect you.

When Terra nodded showing she was ready, Madoka held onto Terra's hand as they walked through the entrance and suddenly transported to a whole different dimention. As least that's how Terra would have described it. Terra stayed close to her friends and put her trust that they knew what they were doing.

"This will be no problem for strong magical girls like us!" Sayaka boasted confidently, summoning their weapon and preparing to fight.

Kagome and Kyoko noticed them hunting but decided not to get involved. They'd killed a few witches earlier and didn't want to waste time fighting with other magical girls again.

(Sorry for the late and short reply, writer's block is tough ;-; )

All Terra could do was stand back and watch Madoka and Sayaka take on this witch. Seeing them be so well coordinated amazed Terra. Though as the fight went on Terra began to worry that this might be too much for them. She was hesitant about making the wish but felt like she she did she could help them.

Kyubey spoke as it was on Terra's shoulder, "You know if you want to help them all you have to do is make a wish. It's really that simple. Then you'll be a magical girl just like everyone else. What do you say?"

(hey no worries. Kind of going through that myself)
