Literally my favorite Universe to RP fandom in is the Halo one. If anyone is interested in this, I'm looking for experienced writers who are fully capable of writing multiple paragraphs in a single post, if necessary. You don't have to have extensive knowledge of the lore in Halo to join, but a basic understanding probably won't hurt. If you'd like more information or have questions prior to joining, then let me now and I can provide you with link and/or information to help.

It's been a full year since any contact had been made with the SPARTANS in training on the planet Onyx. As well as Dr. Halsey and the remaining SPARTAN-II's. Who reportedly were last recorded en route to Onyx themselves. The only information available having been gathered by a crew on board a prowler-class ship, Dusk. All footage from their time in orbit about the shield planet was erased after receiving damage in a battle that took place in the planet's atmosphere. The crew's reports are very haunting however. They say the planet is fully built of an innumerable amount of some sort of autonomous sentry machine they simply referred to as Sentinels. Who really knows if that's true, however.
ONI and the UNSC alike are in array. Colonel Ackerson, having being recovered since his capture by a brute commander, has now revealed to the public his previously undercover SPARTAN-III program in an attempt to increase humanities morale. Once the controversial SPARTAN-II was initially revealed, it was seen as questionable and possibly immoral. However, no one could argue with it's results. Considering the loss of contact with any remaining SPARTAN-II's. As well as Alpha, Beta, and Gamma company of the real SPARTAN-III program, humanity was grasping for answers in the ever growing threat of the Covenant.
What was being shared with the public, was that this will be the first group of SPARTAN-III's ever to be produced. The spooks at ONI felt it would be better to continue to keep the previous projects a secret for now. Not having the time to raise children, ONI and UNSC changed their strategy and combined efforts to create the SPARTAN INITIATIVE. A program that allows military personnel to be pushed for promotion by their leadership to receive the infamous SPARTAN augmentations. The advancement of technology since the last projects allows a more lenient acceptance range. The eligible DNA matches are higher, certain personality traits are no longer automatic firewalls.

The ODST were a clear choice for being swept through first. However, a lot of them have an acquired hate for SPARTANS. Something that is in the atmosphere through training. Most refer to the SPARTANS as Test Tubes and derogatory terms of the like. Those who have had the privilege of fighting with one, however, usually come back with a sense of respect for them. That's not something that can necessarily convince the rest of the branch who haven't met one. Nor the those who have only seen them portrayed in negative light, though.

The fight against the Covenant is still raging and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. A large expedition force is currently gearing up to assault a Covenant war base on the planet Herracus VII. Intel reports say they are building some sort of super weapon. No further details could be collected. It will be the job of the ODST and marines deployed to the planet to destroy every trace of the base and its super weapon, as well as recovering any valuable Covenant technology along the way.
This is where you come in, soldier. As an ODST, you have a responsibility to defend the human race. With SPARTANS or not, you're the best we have. If you pull this off, your higher ups might recommend you for promotion. You have to survive though, of course. Now get geared up and...

3- No godmodding, bunnying, flaming or cybering and follow rp nations rules.
4- Romance is allowed but all heavy petting must fade to black.
5- Posting requirements: We would all like to think that we could post every day, but with the length and depth I am aiming for, I understand that it is not always possible. Please no longer than 3 days though, at that point I've learned people begin to get disinterested and start falling out. If you will be gone for an extended period of time, PLEASE let me know. I will do the same for you all.
6- Please watch the OOC tab for any updates.
7- Never be afraid to ask me a question. You can message me or post it on the Ooc and I will answer honestly and fairly. This also applies to ideas about any plot or character development you may have. I am open to new ideas.
