Welcome to Accord City; the last city on Earth. Well, that's what people call it, at least. After the landing of an alien colony; the Pioneers as we call them; the world pretty much went to shit. The Pioneers weren't harmful, in fact, they wanted to help save planet Earth. But they're from another planet, and a lot of people didn't like that. Hundreds of years worth of stories about extra terrestrials with big green heads were swirling in people's minds, and when the Pioneers arrived, along with their humanoid body's and 'good intentions', people started to questions their motives. Conspiracies ran around. People thought they were shape shifters and had made themselves look like humans. Some thought that they were slowly consuming the bodies of other humans. The governments did their best. The US president, Daniel Mcgarvy, tried to reassure his people; but they weren't having any of it. An uprising began; known no as 'Operation America' where a small group of 50 Rebels became 100 and then 1000. Their leader, Jonathan Weir decided to take a less violent route when it came to facing the government. He knew that their group was large, but not large enough to face the US military. So, President Mcgarvy allowed the Rebels take hold of a city; New Orleans. The second that the Rebels took over New Orleans, they drove out any of the The Pioneers and those who opposed Operation America. Once they knew the place was clear, they built a wall around the city; 50 feet high. The Rebels built themselves an army and Weir became the leader of the city. The city was supposed to create peace; but it only created a whole shit storm.
The original Operation America took place 50 years ago. Since then, The Rebels have taken over the whole of the Southern states. The rest of America is in fear. When the Rebels were given that city, they grew and grew and grew, and their numbers now match the US army. Europe is in a similar state, and the governments are close to being overrun. If that happens, then you might as well pack up for the end of the world!
So, you live in Accord City; the last city on Earth. Although the Rebels took over the rest of the South, Accord city is the only place with functioning businesses and housing. The rest of the Rebel's states are still riddled with secret Pioneers and have been cleaned out of business. Accord city is still walled off. It's still safe. For now. In Accord City, you have to work for you life. In your job, you're paid in food and accommodation and status is everything. If you want luxuries in life, you have to earn them, and if you aren't high up then the jobs aren't pretty. Drug deals, assassinations and arms deals are a natural occurrence.
The roleplay will centre around a junk shop, a place where a group of people are operating an uprising of their own. But it has to be secret; or you could literally lose your head. The year is 2062. New Orleans is a fragment of the past and high rise buildings replace brilliant architecture. Bright lights are everywhere and the city does not sleep.
The roleplay will be semi detailed. There won't be a post requirement, but I want to see development and depth in posts.
Not many have what it takes to survive in Accord City. Do you?
