Daniel is a generally good hearted person, whom most people would describe as lazy, or a slacker. Truth is, the guy's just trying to live life at his own pace, which turns out to be kind of a hard thing to do, considering the fact that he's a sacrifice. He knows about the existence of Vampires and Half-Reapers, but not about Sacrificial Human's, which by extend means, that he doesn't realize that he is one of them himself. Even though Daniel's mostly a pretty relaxed dude, when something does actually manage to get to him, he'll take it serious, even if the male doesn't show it.
