Saiyan Princess
Always unhappy
Kaiju Cat
Years had passed since Naraku's defeat by Inuyasha and his friends. The miko, Kagome had decided the Feudal Era was where she belonged and even Sango and Miroku had started a family.
Rin, having been commanded by Lord Sesshomaru to stay in Kaede's village, had long awaited the day she would be considered a woman, old enough to make the choice to stay with Kaede and the others or return to her travels alongside the demon dog.
For weeks, Rin laid awake at night, a bit angry and afraid of the possibility that Sesshomaru would never return for her.
Her only comfort was the sound of the villagers hustling and bustling about to prepare for Sesshomaru's imminent return.
At last! Springtime would arrive and Rin would see her old friend again!
One particular morning, on the first day of the new season, the old priestess Kaede entered the home of the hanyo and miko.
"Rin, are ye awake yet? Tis sunrise, child! We must go to th-" Kaede stopped dead in her tracks, scanning the hut for any sign of the young woman. "Rin?" She groaned in frustration. "Kagome! Inuyasha! She's gone again!"
Eager to see her lord again, Rin was already awake and doing her chores. Fetching the water from the stream, gathering herbs, sewing together any clothing the villagers needed mending and didn't quite have time for.
Currently, she was bringing used clothing to the river for washing when she heard Kaede's shouting.
"I'm coming!" Rin called, as she tossed sopping wet fabric into a large bucket. Once back within village grounds, Rin knew she was in trouble.
"Rin, ye know ye cannot leave the village alone, child. Tis dangerous!" Kaede scolded the girl, who dropped the heavy bucket she was carrying with a sigh. "I know. I know. Can I go now?!"
