Reason they suck: Companion is a hedgehog, stresses in direct confrontation, only managed to shapechange into a hedgehog.

Personality: Likes hedgehogs a lot. Ditzy and somewhat inattentive and naïve. Almost never angry about things, is rather sad.

Additional information: Enjoys added spikeyness to anything.
Applied to the academy with out of pocket payments. She was great at most of the knowledge based druid classes, from learning druidic to communing with nature, but failed at most other stuff. First day of weapons practice she found out what happens when you aren't proficient with nunchaku. Least to say, none of the males in that class plan on carrying on their legacy.

Started crying when her hedgehog, Rocoro, wasn't allowed in the exam with her. Didn't even get to start it.

"But- But- Rocoro and I have always been partners! He's my animal companion! No, he's my friend! Saying I can't have him is like saying a fighter can't have his favorite weapon!"

Sally left out the part about him being an orphan and all. She'd told that to her former teachers and one of them tried to get him euthanized. There just wasn't any love for the little critters. A bite on the finger was love, not a reason to cast fireball at him. They are remarkable creatures if anyone just give them a chance.

She continued sobbing. "Please, please let me take my exam with Rocoro! He's the only one who understands me!"

Sally held up the wall-eyed mammal to the dungeon master, who stood sternly pointing at the list of allowed animal companions, not saying anything else. What else was there to say? She had been shamed, anyone could see that.

She turned away, sobbing and holding the little hedgehog in her palms. Her group laughed as she left, some just shaking their head. She could've sworn the bard was writing something down even. She didn't care. She had to say no. She wouldn't be able to do it without Rocoro.

Sally felt a wet trickle wash down her arm. She smiled, knowing Rocoro was still in touch with her feelings.

When he was younger, he would often be chased around by the village children. During large celebrations the children would grab branches of burning wood and throw them at him. Often his father would encourage the village children yelling; "It'll build your character boy, put some hair on your chest."

His Ma and Pa needed money, their oldest son had already been sent to the army, their second eldest was charge with helping on the farm. Initially Teddy was meant for the slavers' markets. Fortunately, on the day of his sale he was saved by High Priest Nestor who was looking for young apprentices of a 'certain type' to join The Church's 'Wayward Priesthood' (the organization of Priests who have attended the hero academy).

For the most part Teddy took to the teachings of the 'Wayward Priesthood'. He enjoyed singing in the choir, his favourite hymn being 'The Canticles of Choralla'. He enjoyed the simplicity of priesthood and had a natural talent for healing magics. When it came time for him to Undertake The Rite of Indoctrination, his autism appeared to powerful and rendered him immune to any form of brainwashing the priesthood could come up with. They marked him with The Eyes of The Dark One and expounded him from the clergy.

Personality: very outgoing and talkative, asks a lot of questions. Very forgetful and will double cross someone she doesn't know very well but is loyal to her friends.

Additional information: Pepper is a hard alcoholic and will get drunk at every opportunity
Pepper never knew her parents as she was taken away from them by a thief who she believed to be her father for most of her life. So when she discovered the truth she ran away and thought that maybe if she became a hero her real parents might find her. But her desire to find her parents and the instinct to enjoy the good life conflicted with one another and eventually instinct took over and she ended up wasting her school years. Pepper failed the exam because she over slept and didn't even show up.
[For a few moments there was only light, white and glaring almost burning the eyes that saw it, a few seconds of blinking and the light subsided. In a mess of a bed lay a long girl looking like more of a mess than the bed, her long brown hair stuck out in places and looked more like a birds nest and less like actual hair with one long braid near the front.

The girl sat up rubbing her aching head and groaning softly she wore only a cotton tank top and shorts. Ripping the sheet off her legs pulling them over the side of the bed, she let out a sigh looking around the dingy room a smell filling the space causing her to wrinkle her nose.

The girls name was Pepper and signs of her pre-graduation party from the night before were found all around the room, goblets littered the floors and shelves. Pepper looked over at the table next to her bed seeing a goblet and picking it up to see if there was anything in it, there was, she brought it to her lips and downed the contents tasting the staleness of the liquid on her tongue.

She stood up noticing the large table that usually sat in the middle of the room was not across the room laying on its side, she found a plate with a bit of food on it and picked it up on her way over to the window popping a grape into her mouth as she looked up at the placement of the sun in the sky and seeing how late in the day that it was.

Her expression was that of indifference when the realization of what had happened, to her it never really mattered her gut had already told her that she wasn't going to finish school, she didn't have it in her, Pepper knew this for a long time so when it finally happened she merely accepted her fate.

After finishing off the rest of the plate she set to work, putting on her regular tunic and hood she reached over to grab one of her boots shoving her foot into it. When she had gotten dress and smoothed down her wild mess of hair, she picked up her bow and quiver putting them both across her shoulder and picked up a nap sack with a couple days worth of supplies and headed out.]

Was born and raised in an orphanage until his powers emerged. He was a loner. His best friend was kidnapped and killed. He hated that he couldnt do anything to protect her. Then he was enrolled into the school. He got good grades and was well liked but there was this one dude named Ryan and his group of friends who thought they were gods gifts. They tried to bully him but he ignored them. They got angry and on the day of the final exam Ryan did something unforgiving. In the middle of the exam he secretly stayed behind and when Alix ran passed knocked him out. Alix failed the exam.

Alix couldn't find them! His heart beat fast in his chest lanic setting in as he hurriedly searched his room. Clothes and books flew, his matress landed on the ground, and still he found nothing. His chocolate was gone! It was the day of the final exams and he couldnt find the one thing to help calm his nerves.

He froze hearing a familiar raspy chuckle that sent shivers of revolsion down his spine behind him. Slowly he turned his heartbeat slowing as rage began to burn within him. Ryan's lanky form leaned against his doorway a smile on his face revealing pearly white teeth and blue eyes glinting with evil glee. In his hand held the sac Alix kept his stash of chocolate in.

Waving the sac teasingly Ryan spoke."Look what I found. Some delicious chocolate. I'm sure the guys would love so-Ahhh!" He didn't get to finish. Alix overcome with rage tackled him and began pummeling him. Blood splashed across the blown wooded floor and Ryan's screams of pain echoed of the walls. Hands desperately grabbed at Alix tugging him off the bloody boy. Alix snarled seeing nothing but red as he was dragged from the person who stole his chocolate.

"Enough Mr.willows." Ms. Addams the power control teacher firmly ordered as she walked in careful not to step in blood. Others followed carrying Ryan away. Ms. Addams glared at him coldly through black rimmed glasses her icy brown eyes sending chills down his spine. "Remember it is exam day. Leave the violence for the dungeon. Afterwards visit me in my office I would like to speak to you about this."

Without another word she walked away taking the people restraing Alix with her. For a moment he just stood there. Breathing heavily his heart pounding in his chest surrounded by a torn up bloody room. He almost allowed himself to calm down but realized something that only made him more angry. Throwing his headback he let out a scream of pure rage. Ryan still had his chocolate!

Reason they suck: He's big and slow. And stupid.

Personality: He enjoys the few friends that he has. Taba loves everybody. The man is open and honest, with a tendency to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. When he does not know what he is talking about, he will often make up things to appear as though he does. The man is completely unreliable in every sense. Taba is afraid of everything. But he loves you.

Likes: Food. All life that exists. Even the stuff he hates or is afraid of that is alive.

Dislikes: Exercising, clothing (because it doesn't fit), fruits and vegetables, reading books and writing.

Fears and Phobias: Spiders. People with ginormous muscles. Monsters. Raw fish. Kites. Falling leaves. The darkness. Oranges. Orangutans. Liposuction. The momentum his stomach gains each time he moves. Females. Teachers. His parents. Bicycles. Flying Ships. Thunder. Squash. Kumquats.
Taba was born to very loving parents, loving staples to the warrior community. Both were in excellent shape, and influenced the boy to be the same way, all his life. However, some people are just simply not up for the lifestyle. Taba was always out of shape, weighing a whopping thirteen pounds at birth. His mother always spoiled him; feeding everything he wanted and making sure to coddle him in such a way that ran as a polar opposite to his father's parenting methods. His father ran a dictatorship, shaping him up to be a hero "GOD". With his mother and father's reputation on the line, he also saw it fit.

The boy always cracked under pressure. He never had many friends, nor did he develop his powers at a young age. As far as his grades in school went, he never amounted to squat. Taba got mediocre grades at an even less-than-mediocre school. Each and every day, his father would make him run for an hour after school. This resulted in the boy absolutely HATING exercise. As his shape began to become unruly, his parents tried enforcing a strict diet. Taba closet-ate all junk food throughout the late hours of the night and was forced to eat nothing but fruits as well as vegetables during the day. That was why he garnishes such hate for both to this day.

At the age of ten, Taba walked into his parents performing coitus. Involving a Kumquat. This is why he hates and is afraid of the fruit.

At the age of twelve, Taba's father passed away after being brutally murdered by a local monster; the one who happened to get the best of the famed hero. The day he and his mother received the news, was the day he decided to fulfill his father's dream of becoming a beloved and awarded monster-murderer. This was despite the fact that he is obviously and completely out of his league in the department.

Taba failed the exam twice. The first time, he and his group lost to the monster at the end. When it came time for Taba to take the exam a second time, he missed it because he had eaten so much food that he was temporarily inflicted with a serious case of diarrhea, and could not get off of the toilet.

Taba has the ability to grow in size, but not shrink. He can go back to his original size, however.
After what Taba would describe as a ‘long, lengthy and bloody battle with the throne’, the teenager would find himself walking out of the bathroom belonging to his hallway. The stench of what his father had once called his ‘sin’ was all-encompassing; engulfing each and every sent that may have once existed before he had started the brown fight. As he walked down the corridor toward his room, a group of three girls would walk past him at a quick pace. Two were hiding their faces, laughing. The third was holding her breath, retching.

The action of the man walking was really more like a wobble, than anything else. With such a large amount of weight holding him down, he often found it hard to balance. A lot of times, the man found it was the best course of action to roll his body instead of actually physically walking. It was more effective, and easier for him to do. It was also especially fun on slopes and hills, but that was a completely different story. The times where he actually was forced to walk were to be cherished, because the motion's occurrence never lasted long with a time span far between.

When Taba had walked into his room, he noticed an envelope on the floor. The teen picked it up and placed it on his bed. He did not want to bother reading it immediately; and that thought had passed just as quickly as it came. Instead, Taba would just move to the nearest window and open up the curtains which hid him from the outside world. He had a beautiful view of scenery, and he often found himself staring out of the window with hours on end - watching the birds chirp, and the other various small animals run about.

Witnessing a squirrel drop a nut on another squirrel's head, Taba began half-chewing and laughing his ass off. The food still accumulated between his teeth and atop his tongue, Taba spent hours lying in the same position. What was once a whole, cold steak belonging to a plate had become nothing more than a small bone. Then some lamb chops after that. Various chocolates. No junk food was able to escape the wrath of a hungry Taba. It was only when his hand placed the final wrapper onto the envelope did he remember that it was there.

Opening it up, he began reading the contents. He was being kicked out of the academy. A sadness washed over him, and he began crying hysterically. Snot dripped from his nose at a violent pace, dribbling down both of his chins before eventually stopping on one of his man-breasts. It then would be slightly soaked up by the material of his shirt. As he continued crying, he did not notice that he was actually slowly increasing in size. The amount of emotional discomfort he was feeling had actually bothered him to the point where he had triggered his unique ability.

He unwrapped a marshmallow’s wrapper-captor, and shoved it into his mouth. The gooey substance stuck to his teach even as he opened his mouth as wide as he could to whine like a baby. Then his bed broke because he was fat.

Nickname: Mostly goes by Sutkin. Sometimes her close friends call her Trashley, Smashley, Smash, Shley, Ash... really anything creative you can do with the name.

Class: [not quite sure what this means, but I'm assuming it's like, what kind of power they have. In that case I'll just say that she's sort of an elemental manipulator?]

Reason they suck: Doesn't care about much other than having a good time. She's a great friend, just a horrible student.

Personality: Almost too chill. If you don't know her she often gives off the vibe that she's completely indifferent to your presence. When you do know her, she opens up a bit more. She's funny street smart, and loyal, but she doesn't take anyone's shit. She's too much of a free spirit to deal with unneccesary drama, but being on her bad side is not a fun experience. She's not much of a yeller, but her looks really do kill. Not to mention her quick tongue.

Likes: Music, summer, Stephen Kingly, people.

Dislikes: Closed spaces, closed minded people, school, tests, schedules.

Fears and Phobias: She has really bad claustrophobia. People often exaggerate their discontent with closed spaces, but she is a diagnosed claustrophobic, suffering panic attacks of varying degrees depending on the space and the situation.

Additional information:
Ashley grew up a pretty privlaged child. She never really had to worry about money or anything. Her parents are happily together. After a while, the privelaged life proved to be devastatingly boring to her, so she, like many others in her position got caught in the partying scene. She got into a lot of trouble and decided on her own to try and get her life back together and do something important. Her grades improved after going to the school, but towards the end she started to slip again, and didn't take school seriously. She slept through the test on test day.
"Well shit." Ashley ran her fingers through silky brown hair as she shuffled down the hall. Her eyes focused on those light scuffs that marked her new-ish combat boots as she shoved her hands back into her coat pockets. There wasn't much to do now but go back to her dorm. The Administration office was really not forgiving.

"I am sorry ms. Sutkin, but there is no excuse for missing this exam. You could've built a better case for yourself by maintaining your grades since you started your career here, but clearly more time could do well for you. Start planning your schedule for next year."

Dr. Hillman was always an uptight witch. No use really getting worked up over it, granted Thirsty Thursday wasn't exactly the smartest plan of action the night before the exam, but who knew she wouldn't even wake up in time to take it? She sighed. Another year wouldn't be too bad. Sure people would be talking about how Sutkin was such a dumbass, but they'd get over it. She kind of laughed a bit. Here's to another year. She might as well make it fun, right?

Reason they suck: Aside from being terrified of anything sharp, (even a butter knife will set him off), the odds on his magic cards ( Explanation in the additional info section) are like 80% bad, 15% OK, and 5% perfect.

Personality: Rather cheery most of the time, he always has a strangely confident on his smile on his face.

Likes: Gambeling, general trickery, and most of all, horrible jokes.

Dislikes: Anything that doesn't have a smile on its face.

Fears and Phobias: Any type of blade. Reactions to blades: A butter knife. Quickly scooting away. A dagger. Sprinting away. Long sword. Literally launching himself at least 30 feet away.

Additional information: Jint's several decks of magic cards. Each card possesses a different magic. Although, due to Jint's absolutely horrible luck, the cards often don't do what they're supposed to. This can mean they are used on the wrong person, the wrong effect is given, or a small explosion happens.
Jint was actually a pretty privileged child. His parents were quite wealthy, and he could have practically anything he wanted. So what does every kid with rich parents do? Try to make their own living off of something they're horrible at of course! "And what was Jint so horrible at?" Gambling. Anything luck based really. But after several years of losing thousands of dollars and possessions, he learned it was really easy to get those objects back. Through thievery. So he would intentionally lose a game, and then steal back what was once his, as well as some of the winners personal possessions. So there came a point where he gambled with a man who said he would give him a deck of magic cards if he won. So naturally, he lost. When night fell, he entered the man's hotel room to find the money he bet, as well as several decks of cards. Deciding to just take them all (there were quite a few packs), he stuffed all but one pack into his wallet. Why did he leave one out? Curiosity, why else? Slipping out a single card, he threw it against the wall for no real reason, I might add. The second the card hit the wall, it exploded. It just exploded. A mad grin on his face, he jumped out the freshly made hole in the wall. Months later, he would discover the academy. With all the excess money he had, he decided to apply. After all, money was a near infinite resource to him with his little thievery act. So in the end, the academy is just a way to get rid of money.
Just before the final exam, Jint was staying away from the crowd. Why? Because near every person had some sort of kinfe, sword, or blade at their side. Which sucked, considering he had a MAJOR phobia of anything that was sharp and metal. And it was just his luck that the final exam was a mock dungeon where you had kill a boss. And bosses tend to be killed with blades. Yay.

Due to the fact that Jint nver actually trained to use a 'weapon' (according to him, his magic cards are sufficent. According to the staff, they're party tricks.), he had to just pick a random one from the armory. And what was the armory filled with? Swords. Thousands, of swords. (Oh yeah, and armor. Because an armory without armor would be stupid.)

His heart was practically in his thought. No, more like his mouth. "Sword?! SWORDS!?" He was practically yelling at this point, which wasn't all to good because A, other exams that required focus were going on around him, B, he was hyperventilating, and C, when he yells his voice adopts a pitch that shouldn't even be possible at his age. Pulling out a deck on instinct, he grabbed a card.

By the time he threw it down, he was shot through the wall with explosive force. "That was supposed to shoot the swords away." After letting out a small disappointed sigh, he passed out.

[bearington was just minding his own business, in the forest when he came across a recently deceased corpse. It was that of a Bard, the only belongings he had were clothes, his lute, and a letter. The letter read "Dear Mitch Brolne, you are destined for greatness, please attend our academy of heroes on full scholarship. There was a map in the letter which Bearington followed, when he presented the letter he was granted admission. Bearington made friends and practiced the lute. He grew quite fond of both. ]

Ogres were attacking Bearington's friends with everything they had. One punch after another, he was helpless to stop them. Bound to the tree with chains. Bearington concentrated, gathering all the strength he could muster. Bearington roared ferociously and the chains snapped. He grabbed his lute from the nearby case. Bearington gained a look a of resolve against the ogres.

Bearington saw his friends being pummeled into dust and let out a low growl. He began strumming his lute faster and more accurately than he'd ever strummed before. The music began to manifest itself as a golden dust floating through the air. His hope was to rejuvenate a fighter in (something) Guild. Though he was taking a shot in the dark, Bearington had never used this much power before.

Bearington watched as the dust floated through the air. It made it's way to (insert name) and began to swirl. He hoped with all his being that this would work. Though the lute attracted the Ogres' attention and they began to pursue Bearington. He moved behind a tree, hoping (name) would rejuvenate enough to defend him. An ogre grabbed the tree he was hiding behind and broke it in two.

Bearington dug through his headmaster's lunch. He had to stop, but it was soooooo delicious. He pressed on munching on the contents of the box. Suddenly a tall figure appeared at the doorway he said "Mister Bronle, this is less than we expected of you. This is you first strike. The headmaster let out a soft hint of a laugh then grabbed a file from his bag. The headmaster continued "Mit- Bear Bearington, you are hereby" The headmaster stamped the file. "expelled." Bearington walked glumly towards the door, several people pointing at him and snickering.

I enjoyed your character's read through thoroughly and think he would be a great addition to the roleplay. One thing glaring issue is that this is a fantasy world and not real world. So unfortunately there would be no cartoons, or TV, or cheetohs. Of course he can be overweight because he eats a bunch of snacks they just cant be brand names.

It's also heroes like king Arthur and Lancelot or you know the dragon born from skyrim. Its people with the ability to fight forces of evil. more examples are Final Fantasy games, chrono trigger, Halo. Just badass people doing badass things. Just we are the not so badass trying to do cool things. Not super heroes unfortunately

I fixed your formatting issues, so now its just based on writing, You need to use Alix more in the third person as your first paragraph is confusing without identifying the subject. This is an advanced roleplay and im always for people pushing themselves to meet the writing standard of the rp to get better at it. The RP is a minimum of 3 paragraphs which is easy as you just describe more things around you and what happening internally.

The character idea is great. Love the change of pace with standard male and female character.

His class was changed to a blood mage as it fits his powers, I changed his race to human... I didn't know if you made that race in order to justify using the powers, if so then just be blood mage and whatever race you want.

I'd like a rewrite and just expand upon the writing sample and just add a little bit more meat so I can get glimpse and enjoy your character more.

Also I made it large font and bolded under your history tab, that you need to add why they failed the exam in the history tab

Last gripe that doesn't need to change at all to be accepted. A bigger picture would be super cool. If not I don't mind at all.

Jint made me smile as a character based on luck and has lived with his gift is pretty funny.

I need a larger writing sample, as the RP requires a 3 minimum paragraph for the posts.

*( ill explain later )* does not really work for me unless by explain later you meant, you will come back and re-edit your character and i jumped the gun. If so then disregard this. I need to know before the character is accepted, as it gives me piece of mind and other players the chance to know whats happening around them.

Also i'm going to be a stickler but 6'5 and 154 pounds is a twig... literally a stickman. Don't worry about height and making him the tallest most of our characters are rather short except for Taba and well he's just huge in general.

For a future humor purpose maybe have him expect good things and really not be used to getting blown into a wall all the time.

Personality: Things are nice, your things are great, but better as my things. All that glimmers is gold, and man does he like that glimmer. Compulsive stealing disorder? No, he knows what he wants and he takes it for his own, what's yours is his, no other way about it. All your shinnies belong to him, you just don't know it yet. He loves his loots, if he could marry them he would, but then he'd have a lot of marriages to go through and he can't do that. A thief has got to stay free, he's gotta be in reach of the next shinny, the next hoard of loot, next to all your personals. Damn that shine though, it might make the sun jealous.

Villon is quite positive when it comes to life, mostly free caring and good willed. He can be troubled over trivial things, but usually gets by. He has something of a poetic nature when it comes to his burglary, finding the skill and the reward of it magically charming. He loves the reward the most really, the challenge can be good fun, but the goal is quite high. Instead of stealing that priceless portrait, he goes for the magnificent roof of the cathedral.

Franc was born and raised on the Criminal isles to the West, known for breeding crime and disgust. Living there was tough enough, and being poor made it even harder to leave. He was able to escape by stowing away on a raided ship. The survivors retreated back to the mainland, uncaring for whomever else was still aboard.

Growing up on the streets, you get a knack for wanting things you're not allowed to have. He grew up picking pockets and running for his life, else his ribs would have a unwanted meeting with his spine. Villon was never a large fellow, so he kept to sneaking about, staying silent and unseen, to keep from getting his teeth knocked out. He would originally steal only for food, grabbing food from market stalls and using it to keep himself stable and alive, but he gained the capability to take coin right form people's pockets. Those coins were darn shinny, but they were dirty. He polished them up a bit and found something nice about them. That shinning coin reaching out from the dirt covering locking it within its dusty and corroding binds, it was absolutely captivating to him.

Running across rooftops, sneaking into windows and taking all that sparkled. Small game like goblets, candle posts, coins, plates, jewelry, then the big game, like chests, chandeliers, fat diamonds, and gorgeous relics. All was open game, if he could see it.

When he went to the academy, he noticed all the upper folk loved to wear really frilly things. He thought he'd try it himself. He of course had no ownership over any such frill, so the thief resorted to his trade. He began taking small bits, like cuffs and collars, then went for the dresses and the gowns. He has no clue what to do with all of it, but he enjoys the fact of owning it.

The party he was with went charging in battling the beasts of the dungeon, but Franc decided to split off and do some loot hunting. He found a nice dainty chest, quite the shine. He attempted to drag the chest off before his part found him, but the damned things had some weight. When everyone else arrived, they suspected him of trying to take the loot for himself (obviously) and opened the chest before he could get away with it. Turned out it was trapped, not like Franc was ever gonna open it.

Forest Giants have always been an interesting race. Just as the name says they mostly reside around woodland areas and, while they might me the smallest variety of giants, they are still surprisingly tall (20 feet) and smart, not to mention strong. And then there's Ella. Born under the roof of the house of a large family of Forest Giants nobody is exactly sure why at birth she was so small, her mother didn't even know she was pregnant until a few hours before delivering her into this world. Nevertheless her family didn't seem to care much about this. They in fact rolled with it pretty naturally, raising her as one of their own.

Everything that Ella knows was taught to her by her whole family. Her brothers and father taught her all about fighting and hunting, her mother and sister taught her all about cooking and battle strategy and her grandfathers and grandmothers taught her everything there was to know about nature and its wonders. Seeing how the house she was raised in wasn't designed for someone her size Ella usually found herself in trouble, ranging from almost drowning while trying to take a bath to being confused by her younger siblings as a doll (One time one of her younger sisters even dressed her as one. Sadly enough both for the little sister and Ella the dress didn't even fit her). But leaving these troubles aside by the time she was older Ella considered herself like a true Forest Giant.

Soon after turning 12 Ella caught a certain interest on the so called heroes and Ulemities Academy. Noticing these both her mother and father used a great part of their savings for her tuition. Just before Ella left her family gave her a family relic, a one-handed ax...for them, of course. For Ella it acted more like a two-handed ax...A very heavy two-handed ax. Not wanting to offend her loving family she took the weapon and swore an oath to them on which she said that until she died she would never use any other weapon.

While staying in Ulemities Academy Ella found herself, not carrying but instead dragging her ax everywhere she went. By the end of the year cutting marks could be found around the institute. At first most of her fellow students labelled her as an ordinary human due to her height, some even thought she was an elf, but when Ella told them she was a Forest Giant many of them simply laughed or thought she was lying. Due to her inability to accurately wield her weapon Ella always got mediocre results and when it came down to the final exam she did more than terrible and wasn't even able to damage the boss, failing it and then leading to her expulsion.

"Screeeeeeeech"

Ella ax's blade against the stone floor generated a high pitched and ear-wreaking sound as it was being dragged across the hallway. While most student's reaction was to immediately cover their ears Ella didn't seem to mind that much, except for the occasional twitch of her left eye. A part of her had already gotten used to sound, but that wasn't the real reason why she was so emotionless about it, it was the fact that she had simply gotten her ass kicked by the final boss of the dungeon and was now exhausted. Her body and mind felt a certain relief as soon as she reached her room and got lost in the softness of the bed, falling asleep shortly after. By the time she woke up Ella noticed that a small envelope had been slipped under her door. With baggy eyes she picked it up, opened it and began reading it out loud.

"Dear Ms Dawn blah, blah, blah...After you poor performance today in blah, blah, blah...For the good of the innocent citizens blah, blah, blah...We have decided it would be best if you left the Academy and never come again blah, blah, blah...Wait...What!? I am being expelled!?" Ella smashed her fist against the wall "You told them, didn't you Steven!? You never liked the screeching sound of my ax nor my friendly attitude! I will have you know I am the sweetest person you will ever meet you worthless piece of trash!" She yelled at her neighboring fellow student, smashing the wall yet again. There was no response.

After unleashing all of her anger on the poor and innocent wall Ella sat on the edge of her bed. What could she do now? If she went back to her family they would probably think it was a mistake to think she could become a hero and make her the new doll of her younger sisters. And even their dolls were bigger than her! She would probably be the doll's doll.

"Dammit Steven, this is your entire fault!" Ella yelled again, getting the remaining anger out of her system. Still no answer from the student.

Sighing loudly Ella picked up her ax and walked towards the opened window. She pointed her weapon at the setting sun, using only her left arm. Ella could feel the heat of the celestial body against her face as she began talking.

"From this point onward it won't matter how, it won't matter when, today I swear to the gods that watch over us. I shall become a hero, the best one of this kingdom. I shall leave a trail of blood and sweat behind me in order to achieve this, but that won't matter to me. As long as I am able to carry out this dream of mine I know I will be able to rest in peace when Mother Death comes seeking my soul!" Ella yelled to the wind as it blew back her hair.

Due to the glory of the moment Ella wasn't paying attention to the fact that she was holding her two-handed ax with only her left hand...When in reality she was also right-handed. Ella tried to get a good grip of her weapon, but it was already too late. The ax slipped off her hands and fell towards the ground, followed shortly by a male pain-filled scream.

"My leg! My leg has been cut! Who even throws a battle ax off a window!? Oh god, there's blood everywhere!" The male student yelled.

"....Shit, sorry Steven!" Ella apologized as she looked down at the poor guy.

Zephyrine's father is one of the lords of the sky, and is one of the most influential dragons in the universe. So she decided she was going to be one of the best air elementals ever, just to make such a powerful creature proud. But she had no idea her mother was an Auria, so all she could do was create pleasant breezes. She failed every single test because she couldn't even knock down a sapling. And the birds often ride on the small winds she creates. She hates birds.
"Go again! And this time, push from your soul!" The instructor was easily levitating atop a skinny, but very tall wind tunnel. Zephyrine's face was dripping sweat at this point; she had been exerting her entire being, trying to complete what should be such a menial task for a wind elemental. She brought her hands up even with her chest, palms down. Then she pushed down with all her might, putting everything she had into it and more.

The leaves that were scattered about the room skittered away quickly, some even lifting a few yards into the air. Her eyes were closed in concentration, but when she heard the snickers from her fellow classmates and the exasperated sigh of the instructor, she opened them. She was levitating off the ground about five feet. In her slight excitement for having at least done something for once, she wobbled a bit then came crashing to the floor. She landed with a thud on her chest. She rolled over and gasped for the air that had been knocked out of her. The laughter of the others was unbearable. "HUSH!" the instructor commanded. He floated lazily over to her and the funnel brought him to the ground gently. "Miss Zephyrine, I'm afraid this is the last time you have failed. You have flunked out of this school. Gather your belongings and I'll send word to your father about your results."

Zephyrine choked back a sob, but it wasn't enough to prevent the tears from rolling down her face. The instructor dismissed class, and although her eyes were clenched shut in the pain of shame, she could feel the stares coming from the other students. It wasn't until a few minutes later she felt a gentle breeze blowing tendrils of hair from her face and a cushion of wind beneath her back that she got back on her feet. She opened her eyes in surprise, but no one was there. She clenched her eyebrows together, curious as to who would help her. But then she shrugged and left, deciding to leave before meeting her father as a failure. She could never face him again.

Personality: He is quite the sourpuss, always sad and crestfallen. It is rare to see him smiling, even rarer to see him angry. He is fiercely protective of his friends, wanting to protect everyone he cares about. He is blunt and straight forward, not wanting to keep secrets and lies.

Likes: Sweets (although he needs the really sweet ones and/or in large amounts since he can't taste sweets that much), Campfire songs and lullabies, mice, being scratched and petted.

Aker had a happy childhood. He was born in a litter of 4, having 3 sisters. His parents were great and they cared for all of them. His father was a guard in their village, and the best one too. He is a great swordsman, teaching Aker everything he knew. His mother was a housewife, and she cared so much for her kittens. Everything was perfect, and in his childhood, Aker was a happy young kitten, until that day arrived.

Their village was attacked by a dragon, killing everyone in its path. It was massive, even to humans, and while they had some assitance from the humans, the dragon was still to powerful. Aker, against the will of his mother, donned on the armor that was given to him by his father and foolishly tried to help. Fortunately, or rather, unfortunately, the moment he got out of the house, the dragon scorched it. He could hear the screams of his mother and sisters as they die, burning in the flames of the dragon. He ran to his father, tears running down from his eyes, hoping that he could save the only family he had left, but fate was cruel that day. His father was impaled by a sharp piece of wood, a debris of a building decimated by the dragon.

He joined the academy to help others, not wanting to relive his past, but for some reason, those events made him afraid to kill. He failed the final test where he had to fight a troll, which he could not do.

If you were landed with a misfortune curse since your birth, the only way to survive is to keep plowing on forwards with a stupid smile on your face and insane amounts of optimism that could easily burn through a dark room filled with darky darkness. Alicia Highwind has exactly these traits. Optimistic to the extreme and always seeing the silver lining in every cloud, even on a moonless night, covered in thick, dark, black and impenetrable darkyness, Alicia trudges on with the belief that everything will be okay...even if they aren't. Her cheeriness is both disgustingly bright and horribly contagious, and she often tries to make as many friends as possible...though this immediately places their lives in jeopardy.

Too bad bad luck follows her all the way, and she knows it. Because of this, she has developed a crazy sense of self persecution, blaming herself for every problem that surfaces, even if it's not directly related to her. Curiously, her bad luck never affects her physically, directly or indirectly, but rather causes problems for those around her most of the time. For instance she survives being flung out of a tower as a child and caught a cold that she recovers from a week after that. The cold, however, spread to some of her friends and caused them to suffer from high fever for nearly a month. And that one time when a boulder steamrolled her and her team, crushing her companions, but barely missing her when she fell into a ditch and got her clothes dirty.

Her birthday lands squarely on 13th February.
A life fraught with disaster after disaster after disaster, that's what her history basically is. When she was a year old, she was dropped off the side of an airship due to unforeseen circumstances. She survived, of course, but her parents didn't, since the airship exploded into a huge ball of flame right after because of some idiot smoking near a leaking pipe of flammable gas. She was found still bawling in a conveniently placed trash can, with nothing more than a small bruise on her arm, and was taken to an orphanage. Said orphanage did not last long. When she was seven, accidental debris from the nearby construction site fell and crushed the orphanage underneath it when she merely just stepped out of the place to take a deep breath of fresh air. She was the only survivor. Undaunted, the government brought her to another orphanage. She promptly fell sick with a cold, which spread to the other children. While she eventually recovered, the other kids suffered from high fevers and a pox. Thankfully, for both her already pitch black reputation as Princess Luckless, nothing untoward happened to the orphanage. Well, nothing as bad as what happened to the first orphanage. For now, Fortune was ignoring her.

Her wish to become a Dragoon bloomed when she first saw said heroes leaping into the air with their spears and taking down their foes from above. She resolved to join the academy as one, and bought a custom-made spear and everything. It...uh...brought the attention of Fortune back to her, to put it in a light tone. To be more exact, when she was practicing, she accidentally hit the side of a pillar, which cracked, and broke under the weight that it was supporting. The whole orphanage came tumbling down around her. Princess Luckless quickly made her excuses, packed her bags, and departed for the academy after that before anyone could connect the incident to her involvement.

Her stay in the academy...was not unsullied. In fact, it was anything but. Her unluckiness shot sky high, and before long, survivors of every disaster she brought upon them began naming her the Super Duper Harbinger of Misfortune and Unluckiness, a complete step up from Princess Luckless. Team after team, she went through them all, and all would fall just because of one little accident, and the fact that she gets interrupted mid-Jump, somehow, causing her to land anywhere but where she was aiming at. The final exam was no different. She was doing fine, up until the end of the dungeon, whereupon the decisive strike that was a Jump was interrupted by the ceiling, slamming her head on the ceiling, and causing her to land right on her own allies, knocking them all out. She walked away with nothing more than a small bruise on her ankle.

She was unceremoniously flung out of the academy.

Reason they suck: Where does one start? A sociopath that is a party leader class. He is a sadist and masochist usually finding jealousy in other peoples pain.

Personality: Early on when you meet Rad, he is perceived as serious and a true hero... then the more you get to know him the less you get that feeling. Rad believes he is better than most common person, as he was born "FROM THE LOINS OF THE GODDESS!" Rad is more of a seer rather than a doer, though he does believe a job should be finished. This usually means he throws his guild mates into the flames and watches them burn as he laughs and showers in their cries of horror and pain.

Although he is masochistic Rad is afraid of pain and suffering, because well thats for regular people to do.

Likes: Completion, monologues, cheese,dogs and OWLS

Dislikes: Pain, women (not girls there is a difference!), long hairs (how he identifies women), open mouth sneezes, when someone writes furrows their brows, and uses orbs instead of eyes to sound unique.

Fears and Phobias:

Women: During his growing up process his mother blamed him for a lot, like she used to have a great body before she had him, she used to have fun and have a life before him. The mother would send her female vassals down upon the young boy and you know... Beat the ever living shit out of him. This fear goes from when women speak louder than the common threshold, to breaking out in a fear rash or getting a bloody nose from women touching him.

Fear of initial pain: You ever see those guys at the beach that stand to where the water is right above their knees and they wait there for a good few minutes. Well Rad is like that he fears the initial touch of it, but once it happens oh boy fun time!!!

Additional information: Rad is a religious man, Although his religion is he believes some person is controlling and creating a world just for him and having him act in it.
Rad is the son of the Goddess he pretty much is the fantasy heritage wet dream. Rad's Father Bihg Haughtgai was a hero before him. His father's name echoed through out history as Bihg Haughtgai swung his mighty sword defeating all enemies in his wake. Rad's father died heroically on the fields of battle fighting off the flaming legion of demons that charged upon the world. Often seen as a heroic sacrifice Rad knows the true story.

His father was color blind and always denied it as "Being color blind is not becoming of a Haughtgai!" Well anyways the battle tactician had two flags one a Red for attack and one a Green for retreat. Well the green one was waved...

Anyway Rad joined the academy and during his last and final year to graduate... He forgot to mail a postcard to his mom to his final graduation ceremony... I mean she is the goddess she knew it was going to happen anyways. So on the day of the final test she smited him and revived him over and over again. Killing him with fire, lightning, crushing him with rocks then reviving him to kill him again. This stopped after 6 hours which is the max amount of time you can take on the exam.

Instructors and Rad's group watched in horror as he was dismembered and tortured for those 6 hours.

Reason they suck: Batshit insane, his extreme case of solipsism drives away almost anyone within a fity meter radius, and his general demeanour comes across as insufferably smug. His Leeroy Jenkins-esque antics have driven hs superiors up the wall on numerous occasions and his overconfidence has led to a large number of failures on his own part.

Personality:

Psychopathic and deranged are two apt and very accurate descriptions of Duncan's state of mind. Many have incorrectly assumed him having a God-complex, but his philosophy is more similar to an extreme form of solipsism. Instead of thinking himself as some sort of celestial amongst mortals, he thinks that he is the only person who truly exists and that every other person and thing is just some illusion/show, so it is thus impossible for him to die. Despite his own constant failings and slip-ups, nobody has been able to disabuse him of this notion, and he continues to go about his daily life like a madman.

Duncan really does not like it when people attribute any sort of success from him rare as it is, to some form of divine intervention or celestial will as this would imply there's something in the universe that has power over him. As far as he's concerned, any God that exists answers to him

That's not to say he isn't capable of human interaction, despite his megalomaniacal behaviour, Duncan has no problem trying to converse with others, provided his insufferable attitude hasn't already driven them off within the first few miliseconds. He is quite capable of taking a liking to other, like how a person might prefer a certain book over another, and he shows loyalty and charity to those he is especially fond of in his own twisted way. He even fancies himself as something of a casanova, and has a tendency to hit on girls in a very forward manner, though he has had more success as a literal ladykiller in the battlefield than as a metaphorical one

He doesn't openly show it, but he is quite afraid of losing people close to him, or rather "losing parts of his own world". In more specific terms, imagine rabid fangirls and fanboys going batshit insane on tumblr just because a fictional character died. It's something along the lines of that.

Additional information:

Strange as it may be, Duncan has some semblance of what a normal person might refer to as a moral code. He has a rule to never harm innocents, and to give opponents a fighting chance when downed, the latter due to cockiness more than anything. Anyone outside of these parameters is fair game to him though.
Duncan was born in a travelling circus to two acrobats of questionable sanity, and surrounded by an audience and applause from a young age. When he was no more than a year old, his parents frequently incorporated their newest pride and joy into their acts, tossing him across great heights to one another, balancing him on one hand whilst performing backflips, that sort of thing. Needless to say, it did a number on the infant's young mind. As he grew older, the young Duncan split apart from his parents and started his own act, which he'd perform on a daily basis to the delight of crowds, inflating his giant ego further and further still. Eventually however, the circus went bankrupt after a highly publicised incident in which Duncan's parents brutally butchered a group of highwaymen demanding money from the ringleader, laughing as they did so. (Apparently, brutal murder is not alright with the peasant crowd, but for some reason, tossing a baby around is. Maybe they thought it was a prop?)

With nowhere else to go, Duncan enrolled in the Academy with the savings he had hoarded over the years, where he could satisfy his need for attention and guilt-free slaughter with no repercussions. His time there was most certainly not what one would call successful. His attitude earned him the hatred of the majority of the academy, and his frequent interruptions in class caused a number of teachers to quit their jobs out of sheer, unbridled rage.

When the time came for the final exam, a mixed up in the schedules caused Duncan to turn up three hours early, whereupon the examiners on site were forced to endure three hours worth of hot air and boasting from Duncan, leaving them all seething with rage and murderous intner. by the time the exam started. The exam mainly consisted of Duncan charging ahead with no forethought and planning and ultimately ended up with him attempting to take on the boss alone and causing the entire group to be wiped out.

Needless to say, he was kicked out faster than he could blink. Reports say the examiners had to be forcefully restrained from attacking Duncan's unconcious body.

Alexia has always been a pretty ordinary small girl with no skills whatsoever. She grew up in an ordinary family in an ordinary way in an ordinary town. Her mother was a witch and her dad a normal mortal human. There really was never anything special about her... until she decided to follow her mother's career and become a witch. She found a cute-looking costume and a hat, and decided to become the greatest witch in history! ...Unfortunately she didn't know any magic.

Soon she had applied for Ulemities Academy for Heroes. She took several wizard classes as the other classes were boring. Who wanna heal people anyway? Months went by with studying, until it was time for exams. Her marks were unimpressive so far... but no such thing would discourage her from achieving her goal. For her greatest achievement of all time, she used her most powerful spells and magics at the exams. A huge explosion occurred and the roof of the classroom disappeared. The large smoke cloud and firework party was visible from miles distance, proving how awesome she was at magic. She had become the greatest wizard witch the world have ever seen!

...Her teacher disagreed and gave her an F-. She was expelled from the school for a lifetime.
The day of Alexia's exam

A large black cloud was descending upon the school. Fireworks were seen everywhere and people flocked around the school to witness this rare occurrence. The students were all over the place, clearly enjoying it, but the teachers not so much. Firemen and firemages were storming the origin of the cloud and fireworks to put out any remaining fires. The came rushing out the door, looking over at the event and crumbled down on her knees, crying. "Why?! Why?!?!" was heard repeatedly from her quivering lips.

Alexia was standing close, her face all black from smoke with bats circling around her. She was ecstatic. "Wasn't that awesome?!" she yelled out to her nearest friends, none of them replying as they were too busy witnessing it, but all agreeing it was pretty awesome. Definitely different than the usual strict teachers and policies. Alexia turned around in a super-star fashion, putting her hand on the hips and announcing to the world, "Behold, mortal citizens, the greatest witch in history: it is I, Alexia, the master of explosions! Stand in fear, opposers, teachers and daisies! Your time has come!!" Her speech was dazzling and showed a clear message.

Some two days later she got a couple letters in the mail. "Sweetie, it's from the academy!" her mom bellowed up the stairs to her room, where Alexia jumped off her bed and ran down the stairs. "The results! The results are here!" She was enthusiastic and hurried to the kitchen to read it with her family. Her dad scurried over to witness the testimony. She started reading.

"Dear Alexia Glowthorne, blah blah, after recent exams blah blah..." she took a small pause to read it more thoroughly. Her parents looked at each other and grew a fear of worry. "What? F-? Expelled?!" Alexia yelled out. "How can they do this? My explosion was flawless!"

Alexia was clearly disappointed and shocked. How could she fail the exam? Even worse; she was expelled?! Sorcery! She had obviously showed major skills in fire-making and spell-casting. She couldn't understand how they didn't see that. "What was the exam task, honey?" her mom asked, confused. "Just some boring witch stuff with necromancy and healing and stuff. I demonstrated my awesome spell-casting skills instead, since that's what really matters." Her mom was left speechless, tempted to tell her explosions weren't even remotely close to the exam task, not to mention what witches do. The mother gave a silent look at the dad, who responded the same way back, as Alexia was reading the letter over again to make sure it wasn't a prank.

"What's the other letter, sweetheart?" mom asked. Alexia brought it and opened it, only to catch some numbers and hand it over to her parents. "Dunno, read for yourself. Something about insurance and money and such." As her parents got to read the letter demanding the parents to pay for the damage to the school, her mom passed out and her dad started crying. Alexia on the other hand had decided not to give up, and once return to the school (even though she was banned for lifetime).
