Some House Rules
Characters begin at 13th and may use 3 dots to raise their generation up to 10. If you wish to advance beyond that you will have to chew your way there aka diablerie.
Characters may play Anarchs, Camarilla, Independent or Sabbat, or ghoul retainers, and/or mortal contacts/herd. I prefer that players control only one character at a time
Characters may use 7 points of flaws and merits.
Diablerie can not only gain you higher generation if your victim is of an appropriately low generation, but also, give you insight into new disciplines the victim may have possessed. Diablerie is unacceptable among the Camarilla, lauded by the Sabbat and generally disapproved of by most Independents save the Assamites and most Anarchs, also strange side-effects have been known to occur from diablerie
