In a world ruled by dark magic, something terrible is happening. It is in an alternate timeline from the story you all know and love where Harry Potter had never defeated Voldemort. Instead, Harry was the one that fell that late and tragic night. Hogwarts fell into chaos because of his death, and eventually, the forces of evil defeated the forces of good. To this day, almost 100 years later, he who shall not be named is still at large.
He has solidified his position as minister of magic as well as Headmaster at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He has run the Magical World and Muggle world for generations, and has done so with an iron fist. Somewhere along the lines of 25 years ago, he put in place a "solution" that he believed would eliminate the Half-Blood breed he so desperately despised.
A competition of sorts to where he would take 26 different Half-Bloods from all over the world, and each year, drop them into a magical arena of his choosing. It was here that he would watch the murder and carnage take place. The contestants would fight in order to be the last one standing, and they did so until one remained. That one remaining survivor, would win a prize. Each year the prize was different.
Sometimes, the prize was worse then the death you were trying to avoid. But regardless, the winner would get something for their efforts in addition to being able to live free of the Segregation and murder that happened everyday. This year, by some circumstance, it was you who was chosen to be in this game among 25 others. A Half-Blood yourself, your job is now to kill every single person that surrounds you.
The gatherer for this competition was none other then Severus Snape himself. He captured you somehow, and now, you are in the fight of your life. What will happen? Will you form alliances with others? Or will you be the first to die. The choice is yours. Fight for your life and may the odds forever be in your favor.
1) Profanity is acceptable, RolePlay at your own risk.
2) Try to keep sexual occurrences out of this RP.
3) No "God-Modding"
4) If another player attempts to kill you, take into consideration how it would play out in real life. You can try to talk them out of it, but they do not have to succumb. If you try to physically stop them, keep body types in mind. In other words, just be realistic.
5) If one of your character's does find a group and attempts to kill them, don't just go on a rampage, keep it realistic.
6) Be fair in your actions.
7) Keep how it would play out in reality in mind.
8) Try not to argue. Bring up any concerns with me through message.
9) Don't completely rip the characters off as your own if you have seen or read the series. Be original with your own characters.
10) Treat each other with respect
11) If you intend to join the role play, be active. If you are unable to come on at least once a week, we will assume you have dropped out and we will go on without you. Maybe even kill you from the surroundings. If you plan on being absent for a while for whatever reason, please drop a message either on the out of character section or message me to let someone know how long you'll be absent.
12) Multiple characters aren't encouraged, but they are acceptable. 2-3 max.
13) Most characters MUST DIE if we have a lot of people. Don't be afraid to be killed. You can always do another character if numbers permit. Just don't be excessive.
14) I will decide who recieves what from the cornucopia. The post will be found in the OOC section of this Roleplay
15) Follow RPN's rules. This goes without saying, but foul language is more acceptable in character than out of character. If you're not familiar with their rules, please read up on them so that we don't get in trouble.
In Character Rules
1) Have a basic grasp of the English language and use grammar appropriately. While we have no particular literacy requirements, we may not want you around if your replies become short and incoherent. When there are many details to be described, describe them. Don't be the one to make a climax anti-climactic.
2) Do not god mode, power play or anything like that. Remember, there's a difference between being creative and obnoxious. When a character dies or is injured is up to the person who role plays them, please just use common sense in this regards. We will not break the character making process down to a science, but please keep it realistic.
3) This goes along with the above rule, but no Mary-sues or Gary-stus or anything. Give your character some flaws. They shouldn't be perfect in every way and they shouldn't get amazing marks in every single one of their classes or subjects, or if they are make them arrogant about it, or freak out if they get anything less, or something. Just to give a few examples. It'll make them more lovable if they're flawed, I promise.
4) For consistency, stick to third person limited past tense. That's just a preference of mine turned pet peeve, but if anyone really wants to do things differently, then don't be afraid to ask.
5) There's no gender ratio limit or anything, but please don't make more than 2, maybe 3 characters. I think four's pretty generous. If the rp is starting with five people, and we all had five that would be 20 characters, and more people will probably join. I'm sure not everyone will make four, or even more than one, but I still think this needs to be said. I might change this later if we need more characters but not enough people are joining/joined.
(Post a funny, cheesy, or sweet pick up line in the "other" section to show you have read and understand the rules)
