More Than 30 Days - Lore

Skaperen

Another Sci-Fi GM
Vocabulary that is commonly used by these people:

*Casting - every other noon; all of the dead are thrown off the steep side of the mountain and is usually performed by people ages 11 to 17 days old.

*Primer – 7 to 10 days of age (they tend to do the majority of manual labor)

*The Crop – Piles of food that is stored and is always being added to. Most of this food is edible bark, grass, and a limited supply of beetles.

*Eternals - a mythical human that can live for YEARS.

*Trekkers – Performed by the majority of primers to go out once a day all day to collect food and water.

Useful background info:

*Bread Bark – No one knows what bread is but this is the only edible bark. And is the most filling food.

*Collin Grass – Edible grass.

*Bronse Beetles – An excellent source of nutrition and is necessary to eat at least two a day, unless substituted by Helse Berries.

*Helse Berries – Even harder to find than bronse beetles, but a very delicious food and is usually given to the elderly.

*Gods – There are none. The word does not even exist as far as these people know. Their gods are the eternals. So, they would not say things like, “Thank God,” or, “God bless you”. However, on occasion they will pray to the eternals by free-will.

*Nights - extremely cold and temperatures can drop to -15 degrees C. People usually huddle deep in the caves to stay warm.

*Clothes – there are none. Do not make a big deal of it, and the characters don’t make a big deal of it either. When would there be time to make clothes anyways? Ignore if you must. I completely understand the awkwardness. It's just being realistic.

*Birth - because pregnancy is so rapid, it is crucial for a mother to eat more nutrition than normal, and often dies during child birth. About 1/4 mothers die, and often have two children in their lifetime as a prime.

*Drap Berries - Berries eaten to numb a human, most often used for injuries. They are extremely hard to find, but because of their shell-like exterior skin, they last a long time before going bad, therefore they are gathered whenever found by trekkers.
