Name: Lucius King

Age: 21

Alignment: Neutral (for now)

Nationality: American

Current Residence: Sanctum Sanctorum, House in the Upper East Side Manhattan.

Occupation: Apprentice to Doctor Strange, Sorcerer.

Martial Status: Single

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 196 lbs

Distinguishing Features: Sorcerer Robes, often carries a medieval melee weapon on him.

Habits: Uses spells on day to day basis (opening/closing doors, cooking, etc.)

Hobbies: Fencing, hand to hand sparring, reading.

Favorite Saying: *sighs* "So uncivilized..."

Disabilities: None

Style: Aristocratic Sorcerer

Greatest Flaw: See weaknesses below.

Best Quality: Tactful/Considerate

Educational Background: Non Magic: University Graduate, Magic: Sorcerer.

Intelligence Level: Above average.

Gender: Male

Introvert or Extrovert: Ambivert (has qualities of both)

Powers:

  • Intangibility: The ability of Invisibility or Near-Invisibility and Phasing through solid material.
  • Mystic Bolts: King can fire either individual bolts or several continuous streams of magic attacks at his enemies.
  • Banishment: Under Strange's tutelage, King have learned that he could use a combinations of portals and spells to banish other beings to different dimensions. However, the extent of this is only possible as long as the 'Banish-ers' magic is greater than that of the 'Banish-ees' magic during the banishment and greatly drains King due to his inexperience.
  • Transmutation: King's ability to change one thing to another using spells. The larger the change/object, the more exertion it takes him.
  • Telepathy: King's telepathic abilities only extend to a two-way non-verbal mental communications, and he can only do that with someone he can physically see. He suspects that he can have a group conversation, but haven't tried it yet. King cannot read minds at this point.
  • Telekinesis: King can grab objects with his mind. The extent of his ability has not been fully tested.
  • Flight: King uses a spell to fly around. However he must focus on it, unlike his master, who can fly using magic subconsciously.
  • Protective Shields: King can project a magical shield to defend himself and his allies. The extent of damage he can withstand have not be fully tested. These can take forms of a large surrounding shield or a close fit personal shield
  • Portal Travel: King can open up portals to move quickly around the earth. However this process isn't instantaneously set up, and depending on the situation could either be quick or take several hours, so is by no means close to the speed of teleportation.
  • Conjuring of Objects: King can conjure up objects up to the size of a medium sized sedan out of thin air.
  • Various other spells: These spells seem to be quicker to perform but lesser in power than other spells. These include changing physical appearance (hair style, clothing, etc.), conjuring food items, opening/closing/locking/unlocking doors, etc.
  • Elemental Manipulation: King can manipulate and control the elemental forces. The power and scale of the manipulation is directly proportional to the amount of effort required from King. King cannot create a tidal wave the size of a two story building and a city block without passing out from physical exertion (though the act would be completed)
  • Illusions: King can create illusions much more easily than any other form of magic, to the point where he can subconsciously create multiple copies of himself without exerting any visible effort.
  • Motionless Magic: What King have exceeded in his master is that he can use magic without uttering a word or make any gestures. He has a natural touch with magic that allows him to cast spells that way.
  • Physical Enhancement: King's fighting style inspired him to use a series of spells to improve his human form for a short amount of time. With preparation, he may give himself low level meta human strength, speed and reflexes. It will last this way for three hours of normal activity or an hour of intense fighting given his current conditioning (provided that he doesn't use any spells during that time, else it will last even shorter). When the spell is dispelled, all of his magic ability is drained completely, preventing him from using any magic until he rests for at least an hour to perform even the simplest of spells unless an outside source feeds magic to him.

Weaknesses:

  • Science-Based Weakness: As with a lot of other magic users, King's magic during his fight against science based opponents aren't as effective.
  • Human Factor: Another weakness is that King, outside of all his spells and magical training, is only human physically. Hence, if not taking proper care or defenses, King can be overpowered by mere blows, energy attacks, or gas.
  • Still Learning: King's still a student in comparison with his master, Dr. Strange. While he may have the power and even the skill of a full fledged sorcerer, he doesn't have the experience or full skill set/confidence/knowledge/wisdom of Stephen Strange or even Baron Mordo. Therefore if faced off against the latter, while their power may be close or even matched, King's spells will cast a bit slower/more sloppy (resulting in possible unintended consequences).
  • Loyal to a Fault: The idea of betrayal is one foreign to King's mind. While he doesn't necessarily trusts easily, once a person is his friend that person's a friend for life. King would defend to the death someone he trusts and only when full, undeniable evidence of treachery is presented in front of him, does King's trust waver (though by then he may lose sight of what he should do and slip into indecisiveness/inaction).

Abilities:

  • Martial Artist: Under Strange's strenuous training, King's adapt in more than a few dozen Martial Arts around the Earth, and even mastered a few. Combine with his conditioning, King often trains together with his master, and when the opportunity arises, does some sparring with the likes of Daredevil or Black Panther (though not having once bested either of them).
  • Skilled with Hand to Hand Weapons: Due to his offsite training, King's skill in close quarters is enhanced further once he has some sort of weapon in hand. His personal preference is a long sword or saber, but he's mastered the use of other weapons as well. When he doesn't work on his magical talents, he hones his combat skills with a weapon.
  • Lingual Talented: While nowhere near the intellectual levels of even Spiderman or the strategic mind of his master, King does have a innate talent for learning and mastering different languages. He currently speaks all major European Languages, a dozen of Asiatic ones and Spanish, and can pick up new ones within days of listening to it, if not sooner.

Bio:

When Doctor Stephen Strange investigated a possible demonic summoning one late fall day, he did not anticipate on taking up a pupil. Arriving at a magically hidden courtyard, he witnessed as a group of cultist tied a small blond hair boy against a pole. Around the boy, they had drawn a pentagram on the ground with blood and placed candles around significant positions and had began chanting. A pillar of fire erupted in the pentagram, consuming the boy along with the pole he was tied to. Doctor Strange quickly subdued the cultists, and prepared to both rescue the boy from a demonic possession or to deal with the demon himself should the boy have perished already.

What he didn't expect to see was a demon doing its best at entering the boy's boy while an simple but effective arcane shield held it off the boy. Strange didn't see or sensed any new magical intrusion, but quickly banished the demon back to Mephisto's realm before turning to examine the boy, who beamed a smile at him. After a quick round of examination and questioning, Strange took the boy back to his grateful, wealthy parents, and after refusing to take any payment, offered to teach the boy about his magical abilities. From then on, the boy, Lucius King as Strange learned, went to study within the Sanctum Sanctorum, going home to visit his parents on occasional weekends and during academic vacations. Throughout the years, King would assist Strange wherever he could, trying to prove his worth to his master. In his later years, it was not uncommon to see a figure slicing his way through a battle alongside the Sorcerer Supreme, blasting enemies with one hand and hacking with a sword in the other.

In this way, King grew up to be a fine young sorcerer, though Strange would admit that the boy was more of a sorcerer knight than anything else. While Strange groomed King to be the next Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, King would learn swordplay and other combat skills from various world class instructors that his parents hired for him. By the time the incident at Stamford, none of his combat instructors had anything else they could teach King, though he still had a ways to go in regards to the arcane arts. During the first Civil War between the Pro Registration and Anti Registration heroes, King stood on the sidelines with his master, though he gritted his teeth as his friends went to war. When the dust settled though, King stood by Strange as they assisted with the wounded heroes on both sides.

Now, with the threat of another Civil War looming, King eagerly awaited his master's decision to choose a side to join. However he wished to choose though, King trusted Doctor Strange's judgment, and would join whomever his master stood alongside with.

Eugene "Flash" Thompson

31 || Peter Parker's Side || American || Mobile || Unemployed || 6'2" || 160 lbs || Ambivert

Biography

The old man had a nickname for me growing up. “Sonny boy.” When he was sober, it had a friendly ring to it. When he was drinking... It revealed how much he hated me. It’s not a swear word. Worse somehow. Hits harder.
Flash Thompson

Flash "Eugene" Thompson was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York from Harrison and Rosie Thompson. Growing up, all Flash wanted was for his father to say, "I'm proud of you" but no matter what he did, Flash never got the recognition he wanted. Grade 5, his father was Flash's football coach. Flash's father wanted to show the world how he treated Flash. With discipline, and... Extreme yelling. Soon enough, he was in Peter Parker's class in Midtown High School. In Midtown, Flash dated the prettiest girls, was the most popular kid in school, and bullied all of the 'nerds' (mostly Peter Parker). He never did it for himself, all of this notoriety was for his dad. Another attempt to get his attention, to get his recognition, and it failed. Flash also was the head of the Spider-Man fan club at that time, and was almost murdered by the Green Goblin as Flash was dressed in a Spider-Man outfit. In university however, Flash made amends with Peter and the two became close, and graduated as best friends.

While Peter stayed in New York, Flash joined the army. After a few tours, he ended up in Iraq battling terrorists. In one instance that ended his military career, all of Flash's comrades were dead, except for one. The two were friends, close friends. They kept rushing through enemies until Flash's partner's legs were shot. Flash could've ditched his partner, but he didn't. It wasn't what Spider-Man would've done. Staying, Flash was shot a few times, but he endured and took a few drugs from the terrorists that wouldn't make him feel pain. Flash gunned through dozens upon dozens of enemies whilst carrying his partner into an evac, where they both were fine. But Flash's legs weren't. Damaged beyond repair, he came home as a crippled war hero and began to date Betty Brant.

[slightly edited history begins here]

At that time, the Civil War between heroes was over, and Flash heard the news. Iron Man died by Captain America's hand, and there's no force in the world that could prevent that, well--nevermind. Under Captain America's orders, he was enlisted into Project Rebirth 2.0. He was everything the past Venoms had, but Flash had control. Once completing his training with the Venom symbiote, he went on to kill targets for Captain America. Flash wasn't sure who he killed, but they were superheroes. After just one kill, Flash started questioning Cap's methods. A week later, Cap wanted the symbiote stripped from Flash, but Flash still wanted the symbiote. It belonged to him, and he wouldn't let anyone take it away from him. At the time, Flash was also doing side-work for Crime-Master or his girlfriend would die. Without the symbiote, Flash can't do this work. He went A.W.O.L. and fought through Cap and his allies. He was soon found homeless in Las Vegas, drinking his sorrows away inside a hotel room. After going A.W.O.L. Flash regenerated his legs when he permanently bonded with the Venom symbiote.

After he was done with being sad, Flash escaped to space, where he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy. He would've stayed in space, since its safe there, but he believed someone had to stop Captain America, so he sought out Spider-Man. Upon finding him, Flash asked to join him in the fight against Captain America.

Capabilities

Trapped with no way out. The rage feeds my symbiote. The rage makes it strong. It chose me--knows I need it--knows my thoughts. Distorts perceptions. There is no controlling it. Biography: Arthur Compton was born the son of a US Army Major and a prostitute in the city of Primm, Nevada. His father worked in the US Armies R and D department, experimenting with newer and more advanced weaponry while his mother worked the oldest profession. Arthur grew up with a lonely childhood, but was nonetheless still given electronics and had an interest in science. At age 16, Arthur's father died in what was apparently an on base accident. What had really happened was the R and D department had in fact initiated the gamma experiment which transformed a lowly scientist, Doctor Bruce Banner into the incredible Hulk, Compton senior was simply a casualty of this rampage.

Despite having spiraled into a period of drug use and alcoholism, Arthur was offered a job in the US Army by superiors of his father who were sympathetic to him. At age 19 Arthur was given a post in the US Armies R and D department, in a similar position to his father. After a year working there, Arthur was attached to the Hulkbusters where he began working with technology that was revolutionary. After hearing about the establishment of this unit, Hydra approached members attempting to have schematics and plans sold to them for millions. Arthur complied with their wishes and was caught roughly eighteen months in, and spent another eighteen months in a SHIELD prison and was discharged by the army.

After his sentence was finished, he moved to New York, and created a jetpack and armor, becoming muscle for hire in New Yorks Underworld. It was there he met wayward private eye Jessica Jones, with whom he'd have a brutal, yet friendly rivalry. The two later joined forces and had a brief fling before Arthur was indicted on murder charges and served two years of his sentence before helping two low level Hydra agents escape custody.

Due to his service, Hydra, through its proxies offered Arthur work, which he took. Arthur for the next three years served with Hydra securing vibranium deposits in Wakanda for the shadowy organisation. Once again, Arthur got rich quick, but was arrested by SHIELD for aiding and abetting Hydra. This time there was no escape, and after four years in prison he was offered a job for them, helping dismantle the Hydra supply lines and depots in Wakanda. Wanting out of the hell hole, Arthur took the job and helped them destroy what he had at one stage helped to build.

Over the next few years Compton made a name as a merc, doing very little without being paid. Despite being an often greedy and ruthless operator, Arthur's compassion did occasionally allow him to do good. He volunteered his services in subduing the Hulk during one of Doctor Banner's rages, as well as destroying Doombots attacking San Francissco. At the beginning of the Civil War, Arthur was contracted by SHIELD to train their new Cape-killer units and to hunt rogue vigilantes. He's been shocked by the ruthlessness in the war, and has been finding it harder to reconcile his personal feelings with what has happened.

Daniel was born to incredulously wealthy business owners, Wendell and Sarah Rand. Rand Technologies is a weapons and aircraft manufacturer, just behind Stark in both stock price and annual growth. They traveled to the Himalayas, but Wendell fell from a mountain ledge; clutching the edge, he called to Meachum, his business partner for help, but Meachum, hoping to control Rand's business shares, caused Wendell to plunge to his death. Shortly afterward, Heather sacrificed her life to protect Daniel from a wolf pack, and her spirit ascended to Feng-Tu. The denizens of K'un-Lun found Daniel and took him in, while a frostbite-crippled Meachum learned of Daniel's survival and spent the next decade preparing elaborate defenses against future attack.

Vowing to avenge his parents, Daniel Rand studied martial arts under Lei Kung while growing up in K'un-Lun. At nineteen, Rand requested and earned an opportunity to win the power of the Iron Fist by confronting Shou-Lao the Undying, whose power resided within a flaming brazier. Rand slew Shou-Lao, a feat no other warrior had ever accomplished, and plunged his hands into the brazier, imbuing himself with the mystic energy of the Iron Fist.

After he did this, Danny had won the opportunity to compete to become Ku'un Lu'un's king in a vicious tournament which he also succeeded in. However, before saying goodbye to the outside world forever, Danny was allowed a decade to say goodbye. Danny left Ku'un Lu'un, vowing to return.

Danny became a crimefighter on the streets of New York eventually making the acquaintance of others like Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, and Peter Parker. For a time, he was even part of a team, The Defenders, collaborating with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. The team eventually disbanded when Civil War began. Daniel and Matt figured it would be better for everyone if the team split up before feuds began.

After the death of Iron Man, however, things changed. Danny wanted to stop the tyrant captain that was his friend and ally. However, doing so would mean renouncing his right to rule Ku'un Lu'un. After much deliberation, he made the right choice

Bio:

Mryin's life was anything but comfortable living. Born into poverty in the Slums of northern China, there wasn't much hope for Myrin's future. Her father Lee Kuan Cho deciding to move his family to the U.S. so that Myrin would have better future. She was unusually bright as a child excelling in everything she was placed in though this was before her powers.

After graduating top of her class, Myrin went to college obtaining two degrees and is in the process of gaining her third. To make it easier to get through college Myrin took a position at Stark Labs. It helped her get through college, looking to Mr.Stark as an inspiration. She had a fairly easy life after Stark Labs. Though that all changed when she came into contact with The Seeker.

Mr.Stark had captured Suzi Endo (The Seeker), keeping her in Stark Labs before he could transfer over to SHEILD. Myrin was set on the task of identifying the Cosmic energy coming off of Ms. Endo. On one particular night Ms. Endo, being silent before now, struck up a conversation with Myrin. Myrin saw no problem with the conversation answering simple yes or no questions. With the conversation, she had no idea what was really happening. Before she knew it Ms. Endo had grabbed ahold of her arm and wouldn't let go. There were loud screeching noises in Myrin's head causing her to pass out. When she awoke she could feel a strange energy within her that she hadn't felt before.

Mr. Stark went on to explain she had been given the power cosmic by Ms. Endo. Over the time before his death, he had led her to the X-men seeing they were the best fit to help her control her new found powers. Myrin split her time between the lab and the X-men, but when Stark was killed by Rogers, Stark Labs was shut down causing her to loose her job and barely hang on to her new degree. She resented Steve Rogers and all that he stood for, for taking her mentor away from her as well as making her life a living hell.
