Nation Name:
The 3rd Supreme Pan-Galactic Empire of Meridov

Galactic Age:
7,829 Earth Years since its initial establishment.

Size:
The Empire spans across a total of ten galaxies.

Flag/Insignia:
2B0DFCCB-8B2C-4438-B363-C27436AD98F3.jpeg

Leader:
His Imperial Majesty, Lord Emperor Fro Selidus CCI - the first and only Emperor of the 3rd Empire. He contributes his eternal reign to transferring his consciousness to an artificial body.

Capital:
Valido, located on the planet of Meridov.

Government:
The Empire has established a form of government revolving around the idea of a federal constitutional monarchy, where a Supreme Minister Elect chosen by the people of the Empire acts as an administrative subordinate to His Imperial Majesty.

Currency:
The legal tender of the Empire consists of the Imperial Stamp (ImS). The Stamp takes the form of polymer banknotes and metal coinage.

Population:
An approximate total of 7.1 sextillion registered citizens, varying in a whole range of species with too many to count.

Religion:
There is no official religion within the borders of the Empire. Beliefs and faiths vary from planet to planet, although a majority of citizens see the Emperor as a god in his own right.

Culture:
The process of territorial annexation and imperial expansion has resulted in an incredibly diverse cultural collective throughout the Empire, continually shifting across planets and species. However, values placed on knowledge, service, and honour always remain consistent and promoted throughout the ten galaxies.

Background:
The 3rd Empire came to be with the collapse of its predecessor during the Millennium Conflict - a war which the original Empire had lost. The government was replaced with a dysfunctional, restricted, and corrupt democratic system purposefully composed in such a way by the enemies of the old Empire in order to prevent further hostilities. The capital planet of Meridov was completely separated by factions declaring independence from the planetary government and soon an era of absolute war followed shortly after. Planetwide conflicts prevented the inhabitants of Meridov from reclaiming their former glory as an imperial power for generations to come.

It took centuries before the people of Meridov were to be united once more, under the leadership of a young military officer known as Fro Selidus - His Imperial Majesty who continues to rule this day. His ascension as Emperor did not startle the very nations that had defeated the old Empire generations before, having forgotten about the existence of Meridov altogether. It provided an excellent opportunity for the newly crowned Emperor to expand his territory almost unnoticed, discreetly building up the power of the new Empire until it was ready to fight yet another war.

When the Emperor was ready, he chose to launch his surprise attack only to realise that the enemies of the old Empire had seemingly collapsed as well, sharing the same fate of his ancestors. He took pity, and absorbed these territories under his banner and soon prepared to make the Empire a pan-galactic super power. Millenniums of expansion have seen the Empire pursue territories across ten galaxies, constantly absorbing new civilisations with each passing moment. Now, the Empire prepares to further its territorial in a recently discovered 11th galaxy close to the Imperial borders.

Military Description:
The military of the Empire is an immensely large, volunteer-based well-oiled fighting force that has pledged an eternal service to the Empire, its citizens, and His Imperial Majesty. It is of course tasked with the pan-galactic defence of the Empire’s assets and expected to uphold the responsibility of facing the enemies of His Imperial Majesty when receiving the call to duty. Equipment, training, and formation remain consistent throughout the military which all focus on maintaining an unquestionable emphasis on skill, technique, and technological prowess to the highest standard.

Branches of Military:
The Imperial Army

The Imperial Marine Corps

The Imperial Navy

The Imperial Aerospace Corps

The Imperial Planetary Homeguard

Style of Military:
Each branch of the military is broken down into a variety of units with specialised military tasks, which are further broken down themselves and continue until the most basic military formation is reached. At the top of the chain of command would be High Imperial Military Administration, composed of the highest ranking officers of the military.

It is common for military officers to pad out the weaknesses of their units by combining different formations to achieve the most effective military composition, depending on the task that has been provided.

Appearance of soldiers:

Transportation Method:
The primary method of intergalactic travel involves the process of altering reality and the very fabric of space and time in order to change the location of a vessel equipped with the necessary specialised hardware to do so.

Ship style and appearance:

Common soldier wargear:
Military personnel are commonly equipped with a multi-composite suit of full body armour - consisting of fibres, ceramics, and metal all of synthetic origin - paired with kinetic barrier shielding and worn over a synthetic muscle composition. Webbing and other forms of load-securing equipment are standard issue across the military.

Whilst weapons vary depending on the role of the soldier, each form of ordnance follows a common pattern of being a gauss firearm that has been adapted to its specific battlefield purpose.

Nation Name:
Derma

Galactic Age:
2,598 Years

Size:
A single planet and its moon, though Derma has claim to its home system

Flag/Insignia:
Derma has no single flag to represent all of its nation states

Leader:
Derma has no single leader to represent all of its nation states

Capital:
Derma has no single capital to represent all of its nation states

Government:
Derma is comprised of 192 different governments of varying sizes, composition and power. The current most powerful government is the United Republics of Aorashone, a democratic federal republic.

Population:
7.2 Billion

Religion:
Derma has two major religions. Colonality and Extraturmanism, with the former having its foundation based on Christianity and the latter being based on Buddhism.

Culture:
Due to incredibly long periods of seperation of many different groups of people across the planet, Derma has a large number of varying cultures, however most have their routes in the ancient Human cultures branching from Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Africa. Rapid modernization, capitalism and globalization however have forced many cultures to adapt to a more advanced and tolerant society, leaving those with more traditionalist and outdated views behind in the dust.

Background:
Originally an ancient colonization mission from a now unknown nation. The people of Derma once started off as colonists settling the planet, however with a sudden loss of communications with the nation they represented. The balance of power on the world shifted drastically, with the colonial authority collapsing entirely due to in-fighting over resources and territory as new factions arose along the lines of old Human cultures and ethnities. Driving Derma into a "world war" of sorts that ended nuclear, destroying all remnants of their advanced technology and sending them back to the stone age.

Fast forward two millennia and two more world wars later and Derma has only just started to regain what it once had, with technology having recently entered what ancient Earth would call the late 90s and early 2000s period the people of Derma are mostly aware of their origins and that extraterrestial life exists--they just don't really know where. Though many religions try to deny the existence of aliens and that God gave Derma to Humanity, science refutes this claim. Derma is now home to well over a hundred different nation states each with their own allies, rivals and trade partners. Though the United Congress works as an international organization focused around diplomacy between the nations, it has little actual power outside of economic sanctions and peacekeeping troops.

Military Description:
Currently there are 189 different fully fledged military services across Derma and 3 militaries that are officially classed as defense forces due to the more pacifist nature of the governments in-charge of them. The most powerful of the bunch again being the armed forces belonging to the United Republics of Aorashone, the second most powerful going to the Sokovan Confederacy and the third most powerful going to the Free People's Union of Xianlon. The technology, training, size and equipment of these militaries varies from incredibly advanced by Derman standards and volunteer armies to using decades old equipment and conscription. Currently only 12 of the 193 nations of Derma have nuclear arsenals and only 3 of those 12 have arsenals of over 1,000 warheads.

Branches of Military:
Most militaries on Derma follow a simple structure of having an Army, a Navy, an Air Force and a Marine Corps with some nations choosing to have home defense forces like the URA's Federal Guard.

    Hierarchical Executive
    Power leans to Executive side.
    Moderator Courts with balanced power.

    Leaders:

Volum (Like Senate) Speaker: Owsan Velaeys
Osos(High Ranking Military Personal): Bearyin Olurin, Quina Coins, and Tyrea Enyrs.

    Faction Homeworld:
The Epicenter of the culture and power of the Servyus. Oberzirx is a hostile planet for all organics, leaving life made of metal and energy to thrive. Enigmatic and appearing sentient itself, the planet holds extreme hostility to those who know not to counter it. By the planet's nature alone has the Servyus developed such unique technologies. Constant currents of radiation and multiple sites of fusion crystals, this world puzzles all. Regardless of external pressures, Oberzirx lies in a binary star system on the outskirts of a convergent white hole and black hole pair. The Harrow System treacherous, yet beautiful. Many races across the Republic's space fear the system for the bloody connotations it wields. The Seryvus are unfazed by it as they are by the monstrous acts they've witnessed by the monster races of the supercluster. Wielders of Smiten Power used to Smite the evil that taint the image they vision as sacred.
    1522108674302.png
    Oberzirx, Harrow System
    Notable Planets Across the Republic:

Finir - The Major powerhouse of the Republic known for massive amounts of power production and radiation through endless Crystal Fusion. The planet boasts a shocking power facility covering the southern pole that powers most of the core worlds of the Republic and jump starts even the largest ship power cores in mere seconds. The Servyus Constructed a major heat sinking cage around the planets core to cycle energy over the core, allowing extension of the planet's life and its natural energy producing matrices and dimensional connections. Finir's landscape remains hellish, volcanic with more vibrant volcanic activity that Oberzirx, rifts in space pop in and out of the atmosphere of the planets allowing energies of lawless dimensions to integrate into the thermal system of the planet. Investigations for safe exploitation of the connections could later develop unique power sources on the planet and provide sustainable energy.
    1522160856996.png

Isoni - The main living center for upper classes and officials. The planet is not as hostile as the homeworld and meant for other diplomats to conduct business. However, the Republic hasn't met another space traveler/empire for some time. The planet has large lava ducts that are used for thermal forging and mass containment/storage. The planet showcases the various industries and products produced by the Republic, the planet's atmosphere contains half oxygen and half nitrogen with some native lifeforms in the form of scaly creatures. These scaly creatures refine organic matter with metamorphic rock to fabricate fine, rocky scales. These creatures are harvested to create soft, rocky coats for organics to wear. The Servyus generally use the scales for decoration and celebrations of family on the Day of Eclipse, the anniversary of the War of Sides. Isoni's infrastructure lies above the ground of the planet and native landscapes remain unaffected. Isoni hosts the Festival of Shades where memories of the dead celebrate and wary the living, broadcasted across the Republic as more minor festivities are held.
    566aabf45329c0a49f8394b4d3870fa8-things-happen-star-system-jpg.338782

Lavbniys - One of the darkest planets in Republic control, the adrenaline grounds for recruit selection and evolution. Many Servyus come here to improve themselves through their natural evolutionary processes. As a side effect, the planet also hosts a great deal of research power. The upper atmosphere filters light into non-electro-magnetic wavelengths meaning no light touches the surface of the planet. The planet's magnetic field ends far up in the atmosphere, meaning no compass operates. Spires pokes through the filtration field allowing contact for the surface and the Republic, otherwise, no contact can be made with the outside universe naturally. The air dampens sound, a human shout only carries thirty feet. Servyus train and develop keen, unique senses to combat the native predators that sense prey with thoughts. Some prey produce electro-magnetic fields when they think, others by thermal, and the most dangerous wield the ability to see the dark wavelengths the planet produces, allowing them to see perfectly. Servyus generally travel on Lavbniys in pairs, with family members or military partners to improve their skills and the thrill of danger. The planet has two cities, Oprin and Ryin, where travelers exit and supply.
    1522183612704.png

Yuggudra- The Homeworld of the Gestalt and the center of their sector of the Republic. Yaggudra is usually where most Gestalt bio research is held. The Gestalt joined the Republic in the late dawn. The Gestalt are a hivemind race found in interstellar flight around a tidal locked planet in their home system. The Gestalt themselves usually keep to their traditional holidays and keep a strict business attitude towards the Servyus. As business friends, they hold a relationship. The Gestalt reside in the dense forests of Yuggudra in air locked symbiotic structures barely distinguishable from the vegetation itself.

Nation Name: Moiran Collective Empire

Size: Officially, borders stretch their claim to a large south-western stretch of the galaxy. In reality, much of the claimed territory has been devastated into a near-deadzone.

Flag/Insignia:
rWSKt22.png

Leader: Executive Overseer Silvas

Capital: Parthia Origo-4

Government: State of Emergency, galactic martial law. Formerly Autocratic Meritocracy.

Religion: Various, depending on subjugated culture.

Moira species:
Moira are thought of as selfish and sociopathic. The atrocities of their history, and some drawing notes on their appearance and mannerisms, are commonly used as evidence of this. In first impressions, one will notice their deeply sunken eyes, their tough leathery skin, their pronounced bones, and their cold native environments. Their language uses unique methods within their anatomy, making teaching the language quite impossible - Due to this, Moira use a type of voice box meant to translate their method of speech into something decipherable. However, as their language has no usage of it, this machine does not produce tone. This, along with the appearance of most Moira, gives the impression of a being that simply feels no emotions.
Moira rarely need to eat, storing nutrients for years in large nutrient 'sacks' growing from their backs. Culturally, Moira spend one or two days once a year gorging on food to refill their repository. Then, they have no need to eat for a very long time. It is common to have a specific holiday ,'Hivchta,' for this event, though this holiday is not celebrated everywhere.

The Empire prides itself on its strives of biological tampering, whether it be warping of DNA or simple augmentation. Thus, the physiology of a Moira can vary depending on the role that they may have been expected to carry out; vat-soldiers have far thicker skin and bones, with high levels of muscle mass and a suppressed 'panic button.'
V1ixMzg.jpg

Culture: Culture varies depending on the planet, though the central tenets and beliefs of the Moira are felt everywhere. Militarism is very important, regardless of whatever notions of peace of pacifism existed before subjugation; the Moira have experienced various extinction-level threats, and these events are well documented and understood regardless of age. The Moira culture has a central belief that their species could be wiped out, and thus they must always be ready to do what must be done. This has created an impression of xenophobia, but this is inaccurate; Moira do not see themselves as morally superior in any way, merely they value the species over others because it is the one they belong to. As a result of their fear, they are intensely meritocratic. To the degree that the concept of 'welfare' is unthinkable. Indeed, those that do not contribute and have never contributed to the state are simply left to die. Militarism is so strong that everyone is expected to serve (with the exception of those with political careers, or performing labour within military factories) for citizenship. High-ranking military officials are highly respected, and are always present for wide sweeping political decisions and concerns.

Prior to the collapse of the alliance, the Empire had given more autonomy to the cultures of the foreign planets within their empire. As a result, there could be a variety of cultures, military doctrines, technology levels, and government forms. However, this has changed since the latest calamity necessitated 'Protocol 843.' The sudden shift in power happened quickly, however, and these planets remember their old freedoms. The threat of rebellion must be brutally maintained under an iron military fist, and minor acts of resistance in the form of old government practices and expressions of local culture are common.

Background: The Moiran Collective Empire is in a state of emergency. The collapse of the alliance did not stop with them, the force that turned the galaxy into a warzone sent its forces against the Moira just the same. The Empire's thousand-year ruler, Arahas, once-thought an unkillable semi-AI - A brilliant mind that had speared them into the technological singularity in mere generations - was finally destroyed, the fortress station of Parthia detonated in a last-ditch effort to cripple the military forces used in the invasion. Following Arahas' death, the Empire's most desperate of last-defense efforts was installed: Protocol 843. An empire under martial law, the military overseer put in total control of all happenings of the state, rights and freedoms squashed more than ever before. The Moiran military is strong, its people fiercely loyal and dedicated to the goal of preserving their empire and species. But tensions are high, planets across the Empire on the brink of rebellion. The people are uncertain and feeling lost after the death of their ancient autocrat, an internal threat that may be what finally breaks the stubborn Moiran mind.

The Executive Overseer is skilled in terms of warfare, but this crisis is not merely one of war; Silvas will have to work with the interplanetary council to find an accord, but he is not a man of reform. The Empire is a hotzone, but willing to fight. 'Survival at any cost' is the Moira way of life, and they will do anything for the species.

Military Description: Imperial planetary forces are as varied as can be. While Moiran soldiers indeed have a specific doctrine, the Empire can recruit from many different species and cultures to suit a variety of needs. Additionally, with a particular interest in experimental weaponry, combat on the ground can be intensely unpredictable. This can be to a benefit, when the highly organized Moira work with Rikongo shock troops and P'hickto sharpshooters. However, it can also be to a detriment, such as when the uncontrollable or uncooperative forces must be merged into combat with more professional troops. It greatly depends on the situation, and the time it will take to get the necessary forces into the area.

Space combat is far more consistent, with a heavy focus on long-distance combat with strong guns mounted to fast but weak ships. Carriers tend to carry large fields of drones to act as screens, rather than using piloted fighters or corvettes. They are the bane of flag ships, and many a planetary force is made to quiver under the frightening barrels of Imperial bombers.

One belief is kept as a central tenet throughout both forms of combat: Planning. Moira take their time, preferring a strong defense as they perform reconnaissance, only assaulting once they are prepared with a 'perfect' plan of attack. They have developed a military reputation, as when the attack happens it can be truly overwhelming. However, they are slow to begin and do not respond well to surprises.

Branches of Military: Sea Corps, Air Corps, Space Corps, Land Corps.

Style of Military: Greatly depends on the region, species, and planet of recruitment. However, Moira have a strong focus on heavy troops in their doctrine; well armoured and hard-to-stop infantry conjoined with heavy tanks and super-long-range artillery. The Empire has a tendency to mix Moira with regiments of other areas to close the lines or close their weaknesses, such as large swathes of low-tech but numerous conscripts to screen.

Appearance of soldiers: Varies. These are some of the most effective, well known battlefield troops.

Transportation Method: Wormhole

Ship style and appearance:
Ships typically built for speed, accuracy, and high-damage from long distances. Thus, they are lightly armoured but with very strong firepower. Space typically used for strong hulls is instead used for extra fuel, weaponry, targeting systems, etc. Shield generators in the form of a dome is not common within the Moira, and instead they prefer 'hard' shields surrounded by their generator, layering them over each other like scales. Indeed, the shield itself is stronger, but the generator that outlines said shield is exposed and breakable.
5Hd9OyQ.jpg

Common soldier wargear:
Moira are equipped with an exo-suit for the purpose of carrying their heavier armour. Shields are rare, and instead the armour is powered to sustain energy fire. Weaponry varies depending on role, but heavy firepower is very common. As an old foreign saying goes: "There's no kill like overkill."
