• Nova is usually pretty composed and faces things with a certain amount of aloofness, his carefree nature giving the impression of someone who doesn't take things too seriously. However, as much as he tries to stay level-headed and keep up a cool front, he has a tendency to get annoyed by little things and get into pointless arguments. He doesn't let things get to him when he's in a fight and his life is on the line, but people can easily get on his nerves when the stakes are low. He has no problem calling people out and telling them how he feels, which can easily lead to some petty conflicts.
  
  As smart as he is, he can also let his stubbornness get the better of him. Unless it's something serious, he doesn't like backing down once he's made up his mind. He can see reason if someone makes a good point, but he doesn't like admitting when he's wrong if that person really gets on his nerves.
  
  Despite his flaws, Nova is an earnest person who always gives his best when it comes to the things that matter to him. He's headstrong and hard to bring down, his stubbornness able to bring out some of his good points. Even if his embarrassment can prevent him from admitting it outright, he cares about people and is fiercely loyal to those who have done right by him.

• Nova grew up on a ranch in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a sea of warm dirt and dust. The land was nearly barren, and what little vegetation existed tried desperately to grow in overwhelming, dry heat. There were no neighbors, just one home with three family members and a few animals. It was a harsh environment, but he and his parents managed to make a living through hard work and dedication.
  
  As a child, he was always busy. Being young was no excuse to laze around all day, so he was given his own share of responsibilities. Like his parents, he tilled the barely fertile land and tended to the livestock, ending every day exhausted and caked in his own sweat. Things were rough, but he never complained. He was a diligent worker, and he took satisfaction in doing a good job. He enjoyed looking upon the fruits of his labor and having something he could take pride in. More than that, he liked being able to help his parents and ease their daily burdens.
  
  While their way of life wasn't an easy one, Nova's parents always did their best to provide for him, and he wanted to express his gratitude by being a good son. He wanted to pay them back for everything they'd done for them. However, his efforts rarely received any praise. Despite living in the same home, he rarely saw his parents during the day, as the three of them were always busy attending to their own responsibilities. While he remained upbeat, he couldn't escape the feeling of loneliness, so he clung to any sort of connection he had with them. That motivated him to be a perfect child, always doing as he was told and never questioning anything his parents did. He always followed the rules, never staying out after dark or wandering into the areas they told him were off-limits.
  
  He always hoped that the distance between them would close, but he'd never get that opportunity. With the sound of two loud bangs in the middle of the night, he lost his parents and any chance of improving his relationship with them. He crept down the stairs as smoke from a gun's barrel slowly erased the scent of blood. He could barely see the figure of a man standing over two bodies, only his face illuminated by candlelight. As their eyes met, he saw the stone-cold face of a killer disappear. As Nova looked on in fear, the man looked at him in shock before his expression changed into something more somber.
  
  Nova couldn't move as the man walked toward him. He was frozen by fear, only able to close his eyes as the stranger came closer. Death never came, and he only felt a hand gently running through his hair. When he finally opened his eyes, he saw a pair of sad eyes conveying a mixture of pity and regret. A second later, he was wrapped in the man's arms, his fear replaced by confusion and anger as he thrashed around. As he was carried outside and the sight of his home grew more distant, he realized that none of his kicking would work and that nobody would hear his screams. The only response he got was an apology from the dark-haired man as he continued to walk.
  
  Nova was forced to travel with the man for the next few days as they wandered through a wasteland to reach an unknown destination. No matter how many times he tried to escape, the man always stopped him, telling him that it was dangerous to go off on his own. He refused to eat or drink anything that was offered to him, not wanting to accept something from the person that took everything from him. He was angry and stubborn, more willing to accept death than a killer's kindness. This continued until the man asked him something. "Do you hate me? Do you want to kill me?"
  
  Nova never hated anything as much as he hated the man by his side. It wasn't right for someone his age to hate someone to the point of wanting them dead, but he did. He wanted this man dead, and he wanted to be responsible for it. When he put those emotions into words, the target of all his negative emotions tossed a gun in front of him and told him to shoot. He hesitated at first, filled with shock and confusion, but he eventually picked up the heavy firearm and pulled the trigger. His small body was easily pushed back by the recoil, causing the bullet to miss. The man didn't move an inch as he watched him try again and again, each attempt only leaving him more frustrated.
  
  His efforts were pointless. He was just a child, too weak to do anything. All he had was anger. However, the man offered to help him use all the rage boiling inside of him. He offered to train Nova until he was able to do something with his vendetta. Although, that was impossible if he continued to hurt himself out of stubbornness and spite. The thought only filled him with more fury, but he couldn't deny anything that was said. He reluctantly accepted the offer, determined to put up with anything for the opportunity to avenge his parents.
  
  From then on, Nova became the student of the man who called himself "Wess". He put all his effort into learning the things Wess tried to teach him, mainly how to use a gun. He learned how to defend himself, keep a level head, and observe the world around him. Eventually, he started learning about Nen and how to turn his life energy into power. These were all valuable lessons, but he never forgot that all of this was for the purpose of killing Wess. However, that never seemed to bother the man.
  
  Nova tried to kill Wess at least once per day, attempted murder becoming a part of their daily routine. It was like shooting at him was their own way of greeting each other. Unsurprisingly, none of his attempts were ever successful. He never came close to hitting him, and Wess never fought back. It bothered him to see how unbothered his teacher was, how it never affected the way he treated him. Wess was always kind to him, teaching him despite knowing that the knowledge was going to be used to kill him. He fed him, clothed him, and even took care of him when he was sick. Nova hated all of it. He hated that kindness. He hated how he occasionally looked at him with sadness in his eyes, as if he was the one in pain. Most of all, he hated this relationship of theirs. It made him sick to his stomach to think about how they were getting closer, closer than he ever was to his parents. He had to constantly remind himself of his goal and his hatred.
  
  In a nostalgic scene, all of Nova's aspirations and hard work became meaningless when he found himself staring down the barrel of a smoking gun once again. Everything happened so fast that it was hard for him to process what happened. In the dead of night, shadowy figures emerged from the darkness with weapons in hand. While his ears were still ringing, he felt the weight of the man who jumped in front of him to take the bullet. With the scent of blood filling the room making him nauseous, he passed out, feeling the warmth leave Wess' body as his vision faded.
  
  He awoke in a room as dark as the one he left, locked behind chains and iron bars. Several others were kept inside the same small cage, their faces hard to make out as he struggled to see anything. He was still alive, but he didn't know where he was. His confusion didn't last for long, as the men who brought him there were happy enough to answer a few of his questions.
  
  The people gathered in this place were meant to be sold and shipped off to whoever bought them. Those he shared his cage with were merchandise, some having been there for years while waiting for a buyer. Nova was a little special. Unbeknownst to him, the ranch he'd been living on was used in the transfer of merchandise from one location to the next, often as temporary storage. While he was busy feeding animals and fixing fences, his parents were dealing with the business that put food on the table. He was happy being obedient and not questioning anything suspicious, including the off-limits area that was filled with suffering people. Unfortunately, someone's investigation led them to his home, and it ended in the death of his parents. This caused some trouble for the business as a whole, but the main concern was Nova, a missing child that could potentially squeal on the operation. He was a loose end that needed to be dealt with, but a last-minute decision led to his pursuers putting him in a cage instead of in the dirt.
  
  His life was made possible by the suffering of others. Suddenly, he was one of them. He suffered alongside them, hated by them and the people who made their lives miserable. He didn't bother trying to keep track of how long he'd been there, his mind already a mess. He wasn't able to make sense of his own thoughts or emotions, faced by internal contradictions. He loved and missed his parents, but they had a hand in something terrible. He hated the man who killed them, but what did it mean to be a murderer that killed people who were responsible for ruining the lives of so many people? He hated him but couldn't deny that there was affection, that he was sad Wess was gone. Eventually, he just stopped thinking, waiting in silence until the day he was freed.
  
  After what felt like years, the compound was raided by a group of Hunters that had been investigating human trafficking. The people in charge had either fled or ended their lives before they could be questioned, but the captives were freed. That was when he met Horace.
  
  Horace Hart was a retired Double-Star Crime Hunter who hadn't worked for the Hunter Association in years. However, he temporarily resumed his work after hearing that his former student had vanished after following up on a lead about a major criminal organization. That student was the Single-Star Blacklist Hunter named Samuel Wesson, known to Nova as "Wess". After learning about what happened from his pupil's pupil, Horace took responsibility and decided to take him in for a time. With nowhere else to go, Nova agreed.
  
  It took a long time for Nova to recover from everything that happened. His physical condition improved within a few weeks, but his mental state was a different matter. There was a lot for him to process. He had to come to terms with who his parents were, who Wess was, how he felt about them, and how many people suffered. While he still struggled to confront his emotions, he decided that he couldn't leave things unresolved. He didn't want to do nothing while there were so many things he didn't know. He wanted to learn more about the criminal organization that caused him so much grief. He was going to pick up from where Wess left off. Horace had the same idea, but convincing the old man to let him help was a different matter.
  
  Horace didn't want him getting involved in the underworld. It was better for a young boy to leave that sort of thing to adults. However, Nova had recovered his usual stubbornness, and he was adamant about doing what he wanted, with or without the old man's help. Rather than let him go off and get himself killed, Horace agreed to cooperate with him on one condition. To gather information and acquire more leads, Nova would need to do a lot of traveling. He'd also need to prove that he could handle himself if anything went wrong. If he was going to continue down this path, he'd need to pass the Hunter Exam.

  Determined, hard working, and honest (for the most part), Hinata does fit the typical high-strung aspect of a Conjurer’s personality as she does take her duties to the Bakkan Shrine quite seriously. She is friendly enough when spoken to, so long as you don’t get on her bad side, and she has a simple-minded, yet logical, approach to things. Her open and blunt nature makes her come off an Enhancer…though the sort to directly ask if you’re stupid when she thinks you’re being stupid.
  
  People that don’t use their head when they have a working brain confuse her.
  
  At times her straightforwardness makes it seem like she doesn’t think too deeply, and the hot-temper she doesn’t bother to hide when someone irritates her enhances that appearance, but she does think quite bit if it’s about something she cares for. In fact, if anything, she’s the type to over-think herself to exhaustion…which is part of the reason she likes things simple. Even as a child, Hinata is deeply observant and quick to notice little details adults think they’ve kept hidden.
  
  The state of the Bakkan Shrine, for example.
  
  The reason she places a high value on money, and wants to be a hunter, is that the shrine she loves is severely low on it, despite the fact that her mother would like to pretend otherwise. Pride comes before the fall in her mind. Despite the fact that she can easily be bought (simple-minded) and analyzes quite bit on ways to make money (not as simple-minded), Hinata does have lines she won’t cross. As a shrine-maiden (in-training) she does have morals that were taught to her and a righteous pride that comes with her family’s religious status and duties. Despite her selfish, greedy, and frank tendencies, Hinata’s quite capable of kindness and consideration as well when it involves the people she like/cares for.
• The Book of Friends The Book of Spiritual Guardian Contracts: This book lets her make a contract with spirit/nen beasts even if they aren’t her own, effectively letting her use the power of spirit beasts/guardians created by other nen users. She can go around making contracts with loose nen beasts that wander the world (feeding off the nen of the earth) or even take the ones that already belong to another. The condition is that the nen creature must be WILLING. She cannot force or coerce them to make a contract. In addition, the length of service and the amount of their power she is able to utilize is determined by the nen beasts themselves as stipulated by the contract. All rules MUST be penned out into the book and followed. Any breech of the contract will result in the shattering of the book and the lost of her nen. While Hinata can make multiple contracts, she can only summon one Nen Guardian/Beast at a time because most of them are territorial and therefore prefer it. Hinata doesn’t yet have the power/control to sustain multiple parasitic nen beasts anyway. Even after a contract has ended, another can be made with the same nen beast so long as both parties are willing to sign for it.
  
  Currently the book is empty because she only recently created her hatsu and doesn’t have the time to look for one, especially with the Hunter Exam coming up. So, for all intents and purposes of the Hunter Exam, it's useless blank book that she can summon to wack people with with...if she loses her staff and doesn't feel like punching them.   The Kaijing Republic (formerly Empire), where Hinata was born, has a legend.
  
  
  Back in the days of the first emperor, when a great and powerful EVIL called Tarasu struck the empire, bringing calamity and disease in its wake, a hero named Remu rose to the challenge. An emitter and nen-user, he along with his legendary nen beast Bakkan waged war against Tarasu. However, Tarasu was powerful, such that its darkness covered even the sun itself. In order to end the suffering and strife of his people, Remu made a bid for power and sacrificed his life in the process. With Remu’s sacrifice, Bakkan gained the power to repel Tarasu, but not defeat it. Due to its promise with Remu, Bakkan continues to silently watch over the Kaijing Empire in the event that Tarasu ever comes back…or so the legend goes.
  
  The Bakkan shrine was built by the first emperor to honor Remu’s sacrifice and the great nen beast that saved the empire. Its care was left in the hands of the Raihara family who trained spiritualists and nen-users to follow Remu’s footsteps in the event that Tarasu ever returned.
  
  Thus 1000 years pass.
  
  The Kaijing Empire modernized (into what sorta resembles modern Japan), becoming the Kaijing Republic. Nen users became less and less. As for the Bakkan Shrine, it became a shadow of its former self with only a handful of people still believing that Tarasu will one day return. It’s all become nothing but a fairytale. Nen itself was nearly forgotten such that, if not for the Republic’s alliance with the Hunter’s Association, such mystics would no longer be known to any but a select few old families. Hunters were known though. With every new discovery that helped to expand the country, their popularity skyrocketed in the Kaijing Republic.
  
  This was the era that Hinata grew up in.
  
  
  
  Raised as the heiress of the Bakkan shrine, Hinata was taught as a child her duties to carry out her family legacy. She took it all very seriously. From cleaning the altar of Bakkan (the big golden statue) to physical training to spiritual education, she did her best to please her mother and the other Raiharas while attending school. It was probably because she was watching so closely that she noticed. Underneath the fanciness of the big shrine, her family was under a ton of debt. It cost a lot of maintain such a grand structure. However without funding from believers, without students to undergo the physical/spiritual training, and with less modern people needing spiritual advice/assistance, the shrine was nothing but an old relic of the past. However, her mother stubbornly refused to sell the shrine. She watched as her uncles and aunts gradually left one by one to find better lives until only her mother was left. She watched as her mother fell ill, guarded only by the woman’s nen beast that she always knew existed, but only just learned to see.
  
  It was on that day that she’d met her father for the first time—Clyde Belmund, a treasure hunter.
  
  And, it was on that day, that Hinata decided she too would be a hunter. Money was her largest goal, but Hinata also wanted to search for the Legendary Nen Beast Bakkan, which would surely revitalize the shrine if it were found. It was that desire that ultimately gave Hinata the image for her hatsu: The Book of Spiritual Guardian Contracts. Since then, she redoubled her efforts with the Hunter Exam in mind since the first step of her "Bakkan Shrine Revival Plan" was to get a Hunter license.
  
  Clyde helped his daughter with her training...for the two weeks it took for her mother to get well again...and then left to continue his search for the ultimate treasure.

• Pai is a brash and blunt individual. While not much of a strategist, he is an expert when it comes to thinking on the fly. He sometimes acts dumb but in terms of academic knowledge and some problem solving, Pai is noticeably strong. This is rebounded, however, with poor social graces and the image of a simpleton. Pai is incredibly honest and tends to run to the beat of his own drum. He boasts an incredibly high opinion of himself, which leads to him being unable to cope with failure or loss. This is slightly remedied by his inherit stubbornness.
  
  Most of the misgivings in his life have been shoved under a mental rug, leaving Pai emotionally vulnerable.
• Conscious Osmosis: Pai bears an unusual aura, visible as slimy and dripping. While his skills are currently elementary, Pai has the ability to manipulate anything that becomes coated with his aura at the expense of his own consciousness. He can only control things that are alive, but he does not need to take complete control over an entire entity; for instance, he could just control someone's arm. Should the consciousness of the being he takes control of die, Pai will as well, no matter how little he has control over them. Upon gaining control, Pai can also acquire senses from what he takes over, for instance if he takes over an eye, he will gain the foreign entity's sight. It is almost impossible to remove his aura when he takes control, as it dries almost as if it was cement.
  
  In order to gain control, these conditions must be met: he must first have the the body coated in his aura, object must be alive, he must be in a strong conscious state (anything less will result in weaker control), he then has to transfer his consciousness. Upon the transfer, his dispatched-aura will cement onto the targets arm. This can be cancelled at anytime.
  
  As of the beginning, Pai can take control of small insects and rodents. He can manage this for up to five minutes.

• Pai was born to a family of academics in Yorknew. His father had worked as a professor and Culture Hunter who specialized in learning from ancient cultures. Pai's older sister Caira followed her father's footsteps intimately, while Pai had little interest in culture and instead pursued a life as a baseball prodigy. His sister became a hunter on her first try at the age of 15, following up on her father's research on an ancient culture that had supposedly broken out of mortality and had found a key to an infinite life. Along with Pai's father, the two investigated an island they had discovered, dubbing it Tongue Reef, for its many islands that shaped what appeared to be a human tongue. On this isle, they had discovered many new medicinal methods from ancient scriptures, it was a break out success for the father and daughter pair.
  
  However, the situation went awry when certain members of their team began to go missing without a trace. Everyday, exactly 3 members of the team went missing and boats that they had taken had been capsized. When they wired help from the Hunter's Association, ships enroute went mysteriously missing. To this date, no further information has been given about Tongue Reef.
  
  The mysterious loss of his father and sister drove Paio out of sports at the age of 12. He had become adamant to look for the pair, insistent they were still alive. From ages 12-15, Paio had trained and studied vigorously. He had dabbled into Nen initially, but decided that it was taking away from his other training. At the age of 16, he attempted the Hunter's Exam, only to be defeated by an experienced Nen user. Learning from this, he enlisted help from a guru, who had opened up his aura nodes.

• Despite how easy it is to put a smile on Zaida's face, she has a mysterious front. She doesn't draw attention to herself within a large crowd, but if she needed to she can. She appears welcoming and calm, but is constantly on guard and gauging the other individual. She has the patience to listen to others, but hardly shares anything personal. She may come across as an open book, but that's all a facade she wants others to perceive. This all being a part of an outer shell to serve as an unknown test to others on who's trustworthy. But melt her wall and Zaida's a more colorful individual.
  
  She'll be the first to protect and follow someone, but only if a mutual relationship of respect and kindness exist. Zaida's more humorous, quick-witted, and outspoken. Often becoming quite the clown or jokester in the conversation. Her emotions are more worn on her face when she's comfortable, which eases her to become more of an open book. She also puts other's concerns, goals and dreams before hers, which often deviates her from her own personal goals. Not only does she assist others, but she'll work to have great empathy on the ones she trusts. While she may have had a certain distrust of someone at the beginning, once her heart is convinced, she's forever stubborn on sticking to this person's side. Whether it be through constant communication or occasionally greetings. Once someone is in her life, she does her best never to forget them.
  
  But because she can be brazenly loving, this also means she can be cruelly cold. Make it onto her bad side and one will never feel her true warmth again. Zaida embodies the term "cold shoulder." If someone pushed past her tolerance on a certain thing, she'll be quick to ignore that person, hardly giving them any chance of forgiveness. Even if there was a circumstance that allowed an apology, her perspective and attitude towards that person would never be the same. Zaida's stubbornness shines the most when it comes to judgment of someone, but she takes many things into consideration when formulating her perspective of someone--like, their past, intellect, morals, ethics, values, etc. So if she does not know much about someone, then her opinions remain shallow until she obtains more information of someone. Zaida tries to be open on certain reasonings and possibilities that an individual may have faced or endured to become how they are, but she mostly feels that a person has a lot of power to change. With this being a constant ideology of hers, Zaida is always self-reflecting to work on her self-esteem and self-image.

• Zaida prefers to travel lightly. She has a switchblade, to serve as a last resort in an altercation, but her main equipment is personalized boxing gloves. It has metal embedded on the knuckles of the glove and lined around the wrists. The metal around the wrists are lightweight enough to allow some malleability.
• The Allenstar family name. It's a pretty well-known surname tied to a company located in Yorknew City. A metal supplier to be exact. They are known to provide necessary parts to large infrastructures around Yorknew. Which brings a general understanding of Zaida's family background; a well-off, higher class unit. But did this mean that her parents allowed for lax teachings to their offspring, no. Rather they received the same treatment that their peers experienced. Zaida, along with her two siblings, were disciplined to learn manners, hard-work, and their own set of morals. While they attempted to create their childhoods to be as "normal" as possible, the Allenstar parents hired Hunters to provide as bodyguards to their children on occasion. It was known in past generations that some enemies attempted, with a few succeeding, in kidnapping younger Allenstar's for ransom.
  
  With exposure to Hunters at a young age, Zaida had an early admiration of them. She had a certain fondness for one specific Hunter, a young, lean, calm woman who trained in mixed martial arts. This Hunter said she was categorized under as a "Temp Hunter", which often brought ridicule to her. But to Zaida, she was a role model. The female Hunter would always share stories of the many adventures she took, which in hindsight is not a lot compared to other Hunters, but for young Zaida it was exciting. Another task that the Hunters were asked to do was to provide self-defense lessons to the Allenstar children. Each child had their own personal Hunter to serve as a mentor and bodyguard. For her other two siblings, they often had requested for different Hunters until they found ones they liked, but for Zaida she would always request for the same Hunter.
  
  Even though she didn't officially start physical training in martial arts until she was 8, Zaida had always been an active child. So once she began a more concentrated form of activity, it was clear that Zaida enjoyed and excelled at it. The Hunters taught all three of them basic self-defense, but with Zaida's persistence, her Hunter taught her a lot of various forms of martial arts. This certainly helped with the wild child energy her family struggled to cope with and it was something that Zaida was focused on.
  
  For her other two siblings, Zaida's parents sought for them to work on becoming future leaders of the company. This proved that while the children had a lot of freedom of what they wanted to experience at a young age, ultimately their futures were determined. Zaida was more of the oddball of the bunch, but she still grew up with the same lesson plans her siblings were receiving since it was hard to determine for Zaida her future.
  
  With the addition of Hunters to their childhood, it opened up a certain path for Zaida, but it was not one her parents really approved of. They wished more of a role that's more hands-on with their business. This conflict grew as Zaida aged. It even reached the point where her parents switched out her former Hunter with a new one. This did not sit well with Zaida and pushed her to rebel. Zaida ran away from home one night in order to search for the Hunter that mentored her. But after a week of searching, another Hunter found her to return back to her parents. Coincidentally, the hired Hunter knew of the Hunter that Zaida was searching for, but what he shared devastated her. Nyra, the Temp Hunter that Zaida adored, has disappeared. Zaida tried asking this new Hunter if he could try to find her, but he had already tried.
  
  From then on, Zaida looked more into becoming a Hunter. Researching on the various types, what she needed to do to become one, and continuing on this path against her parent's wants.

From a young age, he was taught to keep his snark thoughts as they are: thoughts. However, that doesn't mean an elegantly posed insult won't slip its way from his lips. Though he may act like an optimist during even the worst of situations, re-examination of his words may suggest cynicism.
  
  Sheena's polite exterior is most easily broken when a tasty meal (as long as it's not cucumber sandwiches) is involved. • Sheena Monroe grew up with not one but several silver spoons in his mouth. His childhood was one of luxury and abundance. As a toddler, Sheena played with Vouis Luitton plush animals and Bercedes-Menz toy cars. He lived in a huge mansion and slept under bedsheets woven with gold. As the only son of an oil tycoon, Sheena received anything he asked for - as long as he behaved.
  
  Etiquette and table manners were the sword and shield that defended Sheena from the ravenous gossip of high society. With his mother being the other woman, a prostitute who seduced the oil tycoon away from his wife, slander surrounded his existence since birth. The adults of high society discussed him and his mother with contempt - even the servants of the manor were either indifferent to or disgusted by the two new additions to the manor. Nanny, a kind and gentle soul, was the only one who treated Sheena with affection. She raised Sheena like her own child and did her best to shelter him However, as the young boy grew older, it became unavoidable for him to learn about what the adults thought of him and his mother.
  
  She was a whore, a harlot, a succubus who stole the husband of an honest woman. The poor first wife of the oil tycoon bereaved her husband and was so upset by the divorce that she became bedridden, leaving her two sons to grow up with a mad mother. Sheena was said to be a devil child; as the product of a shameful affair, it could only be expected. Despite being a beautiful child, the adults could only sneer at Sheena, attributing his features to his prostitute mother.
  
  Initially, Sheena reacted exactly how the adults wanted him to: screaming, shouting, throwing a tantrum when mistreated. His mother was busy reaping the benefits of being the wife of an oil tycoon; she rarely intervened unless it was life threatening or directly affecting herself. His father wouldn't raise a finger for his third son when he already had two competent heirs to his fortune. This unruly behaviour only poured gas over the fire that was Sheena's reputation. However, his Nanny taught him better. Nanny, though heartbroken by the adults' treatment of Sheena, chided him. As Nanny held a crying young Sheena, she taught him that the only way he could fight back against the gossip was to prove them wrong.
  
  Under the instruction of Nanny, Sheena became the picture of elegance and refinery. Shedding blood, sweat, and tears, he learned how to dine, entertain, and converse with high society. One form of entertainment the rich particularly enjoyed was fencing. Thus, in order to improve his reputation, Sheena worked tirelessly day and night to master the sport. His everyday routine centered around training. If he suffered a defeat, the adults would once again look down at him with their egotistic eyes. Desperate to be more than a harlot's son, Sheena's skill progressed quickly. He was swift, agile, and calculative with his lunge, parry, and riposte. And the adults rushed to his matches, eagerly waiting like starving crocodiles for Sheena to fail.
  
  Then, a couple of days after his sixteenth birthday, during what seemed to be a close, but still regular, fencing match, Sheena dropped his saber and punched his opponent.
  
  "Red card to Monroe! Corps a corp--" He also punched the referee.
  
  "You can't hit me! I'm the heir to Soap Worl--" And a couple of the audience members.
  
  That day, Sheena Monroe walked out of the gymnasium with his middle fingers to the sky. No one, not even Nanny, is sure why Sheena left that day. However, when asked by a white-bearded captain why he wanted to become a hunter, Sheena chuckled, offering a polite smile with a juxtaposing answer.

  Before you stands a man who could light up the sky with a smile. It ain't the shine of his teeth that do the heavy lifting, it's the passion behind the smile. It's that carefully calculated emotional expression that doesn't brighten up the room, but gives cause for the whole block to celebrate. But it's not just the smile that makes the man. It's the whole package. Of joy, of anger, of sadness, and passion, there is no man who feels it more strongly. A forced sincerity. A hollow sentimentality. And subject to change at a moment's notice. Soren's mood don't swing, no, he ain't funky enough for a word like that. Soren's mood switches, jumping octaves with whiplash levels of speed. As the mood suits, jumping from emotion to emotion and leaving behind the feelings that don't fit the situation. Those left behind emotions are forgotten, done away with. If he was made a second ago, then it's old history now. It almost makes him feel disingenuous at times.

  Almost. Kind of. It's all real complicated and big thinking is best left up to those who get emotions. And Soran just don't get it. Soran hardly gets himself, and why it all feels so fake. His award-winning smile, ain't real. His red rage driven face, might as well be red paint. It's his brain that paints his words with multicolored emotion, and not his heart. Because his heart doesn't beat in the rhythm of love, nor does it freeze to the chill of fear. Such sentiments are lost on Soren. But don't go writing him off as insensitive, not just yet. Soren feels desire, and that desire seeks understanding. Learning and adapting, trial and erring, figuring out the best words for the best time, not for his sake, but those around him. So he'll smile, and laugh, get frustrated and cry even if those emotions are nothing more than a copy of those around him. Because the alternative just ain't his style.
  
  
• Inspire Me - Perfect Passage: The self-proclaimed natural empath, fitting that he would have a talent for imbuing the emotions into his own aura. With this technique, he can share those very same emotions with himself or other people. Though his ability to form an empathetic link is not limited to emotions alone. All manor of human sensations can be split, shared, stolen, and sent through this ability. In order to do any of this, his own aura must be able to "touch" with the aura of another.

  Plenty of babies don't cry when they are born. Ain't nothing worth crying over, that's for sure. And stories like these are a dime a dozen. So get to skimming if that's how ya do. Or do as Soren did, and start reading that text that hides so fine between each line. Because it was by the time that Soren was old enough to commit to memory what he saw that he realized maybe there was something wrong with a baby that didn't cry. The memories are hazy, but it's hard to forget the woeful face of a mother. The mother that held him tight, crying the tears that a hot iron to the leg should have been drawing from him, and not her. But he was okay. So why did that never feel like the case?
  
  Well, he figured it out after turning to the books close at home. It wasn't because of any heavy set medical book. It was the picture books made by poets, children's stories, that learned him the truth of the matter. Taught him about emotions in a way he got. The crying mother, the distant father, the characters in his books mirrored those he knew in real life. Ah, now it made more sense. And well enough too, the next time that hot iron dropped on his leg, the tears came from both himself, and his mother.
  
  These were the studies he devoted himself to. Well into adolescence, still learning lessons from Dr.Seuss, becoming a little more normal by the day. Marking successes by the friends he gained and learning from the mistakes of friends lost. But it became easier over time, identifying the emotions of others, to the point where he could feel them, see them. Reaching out to others, feeling their energy, their aura. In those moments he felt it easiest to feel that hollow comfort normality. And it felt good. Or maybe, it only felt good because it made others feel good. At the end of the day, left alone, there was still nothing to feel. Left alone with the dairy as old as he was, there was nothing to ever write. Maybe that was the mark that he hadn't truly changed. Nothing more than a kid with an empty diary.
  
  Fast forward by all the fluff. A young Soren tells his story to an old stranger. It hadn't been the first time, nor the last. Touching upon all the bases, the hot iron, the storybooks, short-lived romances, and long term animosities one-sided in nature. But it was when he mentioned his ability to read between the lines, adopting emotions at a touch and seeing the ephemeral outline of others, their aura, that the old man seemed to really take an interest. He spoke the words that cursed Soren. Asking him what it is he really was hunting for.
  
  The rest is common history for an aspiring hunter. A story for later, if you wanna lend an ear.

• Pharah is quite boisterous; hotheaded and energetic are good words to describe how she usually acts. She hardly knows how to keep quiet when she gets going. She lives for thrills and if something exciting is happening Pharrah wants to be in the thick of it.
  
  This paints a sharp contrast to her attitude when hunting. She becomes calm and quiet; but that’s really just because nothing excites her as much as hunting juicy prey and the overload of excitement rebounds.
  Pharah has a good heart and a strong sense of morals. While she lives for the hunt she never aims to kill endangered creatures and always leaves some alive.
  She also prefers to use her abilities on animals, not on people but will step up if needed.

• Pharrah grew up in Yorknew city, the daughter to a cop who's seen too much. She and her father would often journey out of the city, into the wild bush, primarily to hunt, fish and get away from the city atmosphere. Her father taught her how to hunt, how to limit her movements and make herself harder to detect (Zetsu).
  
  Pharah never much liked using a gun, apart from them just being too strong for her when she first started hunting as a kid, the noise one would make, even silenced, would scare off any nearby prey. Pharah found himself growing accustomed to the humble boomerang, which she had found in a market sale during the prelude time to one of the Yorknew auctions. Her ability in making the thrown weapon fly at her target quickly grew until she was taking out considerably larger prey, but at close range, she's quite handy whipping some rope into a lasso and using that in tandem with her trusty knife - the gentlewoman's hunting companion.
  
  Her father had also begun teaching her a technique he had learned that allows one to steel their body (ken) becoming far more durable than normal and capable of withstanding even bullets (though Pharah hasn’t personally tried this), she hasn't been able to do it succesfully but has been practicing and believes she has the basics down (ten). Learning of the Hunter exam Pharah, unwilling to follow his father into being a cop, decided to take it on a whim, with the intent to use the hunter's licence to gain access far more exciting and exotic prey than in the land surrounding her home, with the intent of making her passion a career.

• Lottie was born blind as such she has never seen the world it's all been one big black expanse. From an early age her parents tried their best to teach her all they could, which they did a decent job of doing so. As she grew up she started to use her smelling and hearing to get by and to counter her disability. As it turns out her the rest of her family was part of the Yorknew City Mafia and Lottie didn't know a thing about that fact, neither of her parents werent dons but they were pretty high up on the ladder even though they hid the truth about their involvement from Lottie
  
  When she was about 8 her parents sent her to the Republic of Padokea to train, the first two years were spent training her hearing and smelling so she could use it naturally in a fight, the next three years was spent training in hand to hand and then for the last four years she was trained in rapier and speed style sword fighting. During her last year of training she was given the news that her family had died under mysterious circumstances, going back to Yorknew City she tried to find out what she could about them. Unfortunately neither family friends nor the police could disclose the information on what happened, this severely pissed her off, in her mother's will she left everything they owned to Lottie which means she is a millionaire. She wanted to seek the truth and for that she wants to get a hunters license and become a Truth Hunter so she can find out the truth about her parents murders as well as any other truths she has been forever blinded too.
