DESCRIPTION: Hunter has always been on more of the short side. She's one of those people who tries really hard to keep her body in shape but she can't do a lot of exercising due to a severe case of asthma. Instead, she does her best to eat right, meaning she avoids almost all fast food and does monthly detoxes.

WARDROBE: Hunter has a rather simple sense of style, mostly jeans, baggy t-shirt or sweaters, and during the summer, the occasional crop top. VANS and Converse make up most of her shoe collection, along with a few pairs of sandals and boots. She avoids skirts anddresses as much as possibly but will wear them for special occasions.


PERSONALITY: What Hunter lacks in height, she makes up for in personality. She's a total smart-aleck. She has no boundaries and is completely unashamed to speak her mind to most people she knows. She's comfortable around most people and will strike up a conversation with just about anyone. She speaks with her hands and has a tendency to bounce on the balls of her feet when she gets excited.


While Hunter may be an extrovert and is good with people, she doesn't like to let people in on her personal life. Hunter has a tendency to believe the worst about most people, accounting for her sarcastic nature. She's had some bad experiences with people and doesn't like to take too many chances with being overly nice and being screwed over. If she does share something personal with someone, it means she truly trusts them.


Hunter may be sarcastic and mean, but underneath all of that, she's invested. If she takes the time to develop a relationship with you, it's not something she's going to take lightly. She's the kind of friend who will stand up for you no matter what, and the kind of person who doesn't just go around talking crap about people.


ASPIRATIONS: Hunter doesn't allow herself to dream often, but when she does she sees herself doing music - any kind really. It's simply her passion.


FEARS: Hunter considers herself brave and has very few fears. She's not the kind of girl who's afraid of snakes or spiders. Her fears consist of trusting people. After the incident in Seattle, she developed a habit of putting up walls and distancing herself behind sarcasm.


HISTORY: Hunter was born on June 27, 1997 in Seattle Washington. Her parents already had one child and Hunter was their second. Being the youngest, Hunter was spoiled beyond belief. She grew up getting everything she wanted and never being denied anything. For the first eight years of her life, she believed her parents were the picture of a perfect couple. Then the fighting started. Hunter didn't know it at the time, but this was when her mother began cheating on her father. Evelyn was a lawyer and begun sleeping with her boss at the firm.


Hunter went through the motions. She did her best to ignore the arguing and Marco made it easier. He would take her out to ride bikes around the block or to the ice cream stand a few blocks over, sometimes he would just take her in his room and turn music up as loud as possible, it was the only thing that brought her solace anymore. When their parents got divorced, it started off as a joint-custody agreement. So her father stayed in Seattle for the time being. Her mother moved in with Derrick and her father kept their apartment. Every other week, the kids would switch parents.


One night, when Hunter was with her mother, Derrick got drunk. It was well known that he was an alcoholic, but he had never been violent. That night though, he was angry with her mother because she had left without telling him where she was going. Hunter had been in her room working on a project in her room and she slipped out to grab a pair of scissors. When she came out of her room, she saw Derrick muttering to himself at the counter. She walked over to grab the scissors from the drawer and Derrick whirled around, his eyes raging. She took a step backward but there was no avoiding him. He was angry and drunk and out of control. He started yelling her about how she was a stupid I'm uncultured and he hated her and the fact that her mother even wanted partial custody. And then he hit her. She had never expected something like that, but he just kept hitting her.


After that night, she didn't go back to her mom's house. Evelyn had come home that night to blood on the kitchen floors and Derrick passed out on the couch, a half empty beer bottle in his hand. Hunter had called her dad and he had came and picked her up. Evelyn called him, worried, and when Jared explained what had happened, she was quick to defend Derrick. For Jared, it was the last straw. He fought for full custody and then moved the kids out to Portland.


After they moved, Hunter decided she needed to start over. She was no longer going to be the submissive, sweet girl she was in Seattle. She pulled up a front of sarcasm and sass. She didn't take anything from anyone and kept her personal problems to herself. The only people she talked to were Marco and her dad.


During the time, she had picked up guitar as a way to avoid life. She became quite good and eventually went on to learn to play piano and bass as well. She had been singing for as long as she could remember, but now was when she found her true musical talents.


She had a lot of acquaintances but no real friends she trusted, until she met Alex. They met in the 9th grade and it took Hunter a long time before she opened up to him. After her grandparents died, he found her outside the church during the memorial service crying. They sat together at lunch and had a lot of classes together and he was probably the only person she considered a 'friend'. Even then though, she didn't trust him with much. She didn't mean to but in the heat of the emotion, she found her telling himself everything. About how and why they moved to Portland and how her family here had been the only thing she had and now Marco was at college and her grandparents were gone. He held her and promised her that everything would be okay. After that she finally realized she could trust him.


The next few years were good for her. She was happy in Portland. In the 11th grade, Alex asked her to junior prom and not long after that, they started dating. They were happy together but when Alex got accepted to UMASS, they decided that it would be best to break up until he graduated. They're still close friends and he's currently dating another girl from his school. She keeps in close touch with him and her brother through text, phone calls, and email.

description: While Dex is broad and slightly toned, he does not make much effort to make sure he's in top physical condition. Living on a barista's budget with three other dudes in a band has restricted his options, but he at least makes sure he is getting enough (in terms of nutrients/portions) to be able to live. Aside from lugging around instruments and equipment for shows, Dex does minimal exercise, though he does have a certain affinity for walking and jogging as well as longboarding.


wardrobe: Dex's wardrobe can be aptly called "hobo chic". His outfit choices in most conditions are minimal in nature – lots of loosely-fitted T-shirts, casual button-downs and jeans. His favorite pair of combat boots can often be seen on his feet, though he is no stranger to a pair of Vans. Growing up in Minnesota taught him at a young age that layers are his best friend in the winter, so you'll often see him wearing a thermal shirt under a flannel or a leather bomber jacket when the temperature drops. Formal wear is almost a foreign concept to him, so basic button-down dress shirts and black dress pants are all you're gonna find in his closet.


personality: Dex is generally an easygoing person, though he prefers to call it a "give no shits attitude". He would just prefer not to put too much thought into a lot of things because stressing about them consumes a lot of time and energy that he could be putting into many other things. This comes out in a tendency towards impulsiveness; he is more likely to react to situations rather than to act, thus causing a situation. That's not to say he is apathetic towards life as a whole... He holds the few things he does care about – his music career, his bandmates, and his family – close to his heart. He's fiercely protective of those people and passions, and anyone who threatens that is in for a bit of trouble.


That being said, Dex is definitely more of an introvert. He's not one to open himself up to people easily or flourish in crowds because he is drained by them so easily. The people he does open up to are important to him because he's learned he can invest in them without feeling like he's wasted his time and energy. The only time he blossoms in social situations is when he's playing with Cinematic Phantom. There's something about being up on stage that ignites something in his heart and sets it ablaze.


He's also quite ambitious about something once he finds out he actually loves it. Take music, for example – he learned to play drums at age 9, and after a few years of giving up and picking it back up again, he realized just how much he enjoyed it. He played for fun, then went through middle and high school band as a member of the drumline. Now, as the drummer for Cinematic Phantom, he wants to do whatever it takes to get the band to the top.


aspirations: Honestly? He just wants to play music. He would love to have some good friends and his family along for the ride, maybe even a serious girlfriend, but it's him and a pair of drumsticks, together for life.


fears: Being as ambitious as he is, he fears that putting all of his energy into his band – or anything he loves, for that matter – will be for nothing. To feel helpless and let down at the end of his life is something he's striving to avoid at all costs.
