The Gastrea

The Gastrea are an insect looking race of creatures that attack human beings and "Cursed Children"


Should they attack a human/ "Cursed Child" or should too much blood of the Gastrea get inside the Human or "Cursed Child" they become corrupted. Too much corruption and the victim becomes an Infector, in other words they become a Gastrea.

Should a pregnant woman get any of the Gastrea Virus within her then her child will be born a Cursed Child. Cursed Children can only be girls. They are born with eyes that change from normal to red; They also have enhanced speed and strength, this they can use to fight the Gastrea monsters. They are feared by most normal humans due to the connection they have with the Gastrea monsters. However, there are those who know that the Cursed Children are humanity's only hope.
