『 TAGGED 』 cast & crew

'The Elementals' is a story of magic, mystery and friendship, it became an overnight sensation for the WC network and is now on its third season. Even with its popularity though, now that two of the lead actors have left, fans have been expressing their negative feelings online, fueling discourse surrounding the series. The off time for both cast and crew was filled with pre-planning for the new season and trying to find new actors to replace those they had lost.

Now they have a full cast again, some experienced and some not so much. There are fans that are excited, fans that are skeptical and even fans who are boycotting the show unless their favorite actors return to their original roles. As of right now though, they have a set lead cast and the showrunners are continuously talking them up and claiming that the fans will love the new additions as much as they and the rest of the cast and crew do. Is that really the truth though?

Working on a television set is never 'easy', in fact there's drama, rivalries and even secret romances just as if it were its own television series. With so many actors and crew of the same age range onset, mischief is bound to ensue, the only question is will these professionals be able to get their jobs done while also retaining their sanity? Considering it's the second week back on set, I guess we're about to find out!

fake it till you make it

"ugh"
ryder rolled over in his bed to reach for his phone to turn off the screaming alarm. however, instead of finding his phone, he happened to find someone's face. she let out a groan as she squirmed, beginning to wake up.

shit shit shit shit.

he got carried away the night before. he wasn't supposed to be doing one night stands anymore. but the dancer at the club last night was just someone ryder couldn't pass up. it was so engrained in his psyche to flirt with pretty women and take them home with him, and show them the best night of their lives.

however, with the cast and crew having just started up filming for season 4 of the elementals, ryder just had another one of his meetings with his agent and the writers. it was a regular thing, all of them meeting to make sure ryder was on his best behavior, making sure they were maximizing their favorite and most successful cash cow to get every view and every dollar they possibly could out of him and his character. due to the direction of the show and how they were setting up for carter dempsy (ryder's character) to have his big romantic arc in the new season, they knew that a publicity relationship would be perfect to attract more fans, generate more hype, and bring in more money for the show as a whole.

ryder's agent, elijah fields, had been controlling ryder's public image for as long as ryder could remember. and he remembered all the annoying conversations and yelling sessions the two men had about ryder's sexual behavior. the fact that he never slept with the same girl twice and how he had been caught, on multiple occasions, ushering a girl into a black car with one shoe off and her makeup messed up. he constantly yelled at ryder, telling him that it would cause scandal after scandal and cause the views to plummet.

this of course was brought up the first week back to shooting the elementals. elijah brought it up, causing ryder to roll his eyes. the other writers and producers agreed that if they staged a relationship for ryder to be in, the views and chatter around their show would sky rocket. they quickly came to the decision that ryder and his co-star, olivia, would be in a staged relationship for the sake of getting more views.

part of the agreement was that ryder wasn't to have one night stands anymore.

clearly, he already broke that.

if elijah or any of the other producers of the show found out that he was having more meaningless sex with MORE women in town, while they were in the middle of announcing ryder and olivia dating, they'd probably sue him for everything he's worth.

shit shit shit shit.

ryder froze in bed, hoping that the incredibly hot dancer next to him would go back to sleep. thankfully, she did, and ryder moved as quietly and swiftly as a ninja as he slipped out of bed, threw on some clothes, grabbed his "on set" bag, and plucked his phone from the charger port next to the bed. he took one last look at the dancer in his bed and cursed out the producers of the show. if it wasn't for them, he would stick around to make sure she had the best morning ever. instead, he had to run out of his own apartment, that way when the dancer left, they wouldn't be leaving together.

he stepped out of his apartment, barefoot due to his shoes being in his car. (it was a wild night with the dancer, nobody ask him questions) he looked in the reflection of the elevator as he waited for it to come up, making sure his hair didn't reveal what he had been doing. as the elevator opened, he placed his shades over his eyes and stepped in.

~~

after gathering his composure in the studio parking lot, he opened his car door and stepped out. it was the second week back on set, and everyone was getting back into the groove of things. everyone was getting familiar with their character again, and becoming friends with the new people on set.

there were a few new people on set, but the one ryder's attention had attached to was that of artem ross. from the moment her name was added to their cast and the moment they had their first online interaction, ryder was infatuated. and the fact that she allowed him to play for her and the performed together at the end of her tour, there was a mountain of feelings attached to this one girl. the excitement of flirting that was reciprocated mixed with the absolute high ryder got from performing, everything was tangled in his brain. and he so badly wanted to just sort it out.

but he had to pretend he didn't care about her. he had to pretend she didn't mean anything to her. ryder had to pretend like olivia had his heart, as if it was anyone's to have.

ryder shook that all off as he closed the car door, locked it, slung his bag over his shoulder, and headed into the studio.

cry for love

how are you doing? anxious & excited
artem ross

Even though Artem had already had a week to get used to set life, she still wasn’t quite sure she was doing this whole thing right. Was there a right way to do it? She sat in bed for a moment, pondering the rhetorical question she’d asked herself. As her eyes drifted to the clock she hurriedly slipped out from under her blankets, pulling them back up to the pillows for a neater look when she arrived back home. The main area of her penthouse was still a bit messy from the party over the weekend, but the cleaners would take care of that today. Artem had done some pre-cleaning, like throwing cups away and getting any food up, but mopping and dusting and things of that nature she’d leave to the professionals.

Considering hair, makeup and costumes were all done onset, Artem had to be there early to get it all done before they began shooting at eight. So, the blonde pulled her hair back with a clip, going to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth and the rest of the requirements for getting ready. On a normal day, she’d put on some concealer and mascara in case the paparazzi stalked her, however that wasn’t really an option on filming days. Instead she grabbed a hat and pulled her hair through the back, pulling it down so it shaded her face.

Then her phone went off - a text from her driver explaining that he’d arrived outside of her complex.

Be there in a sec!

Artem scurried around the place, grabbing things she knew she’d need throughout the day; a charger, a journal, some headphones, etc. It was an 8-8 day, twelve hours onset with people she barely knew. Luckily she had Ryder whom she’d gotten to know relatively well, however she’d taken some of his messages differently than he intended considering he was dating another of their co-stars, Liv.

Snap out of it, Ross!

She couldn’t think of him in that way, no matter how good he looked during his opening performance at her concert. With a deep breath and a prayer that she packed everything, Artem grabbed her tote bag, phone and keys and hurried to the elevator, making it down to the lobby and thanking the doorman as he held the door for her. “Of course, Miss Ross.” It was always the same response from him.

There sat her car, a shiny black four door that was spacious in the back. “Good morning, Miss Ross.” Her driver, Eddie, smiled. She repeated the greeting, stepping into her seat as the older man closed the door and began towards set.

She arrived to set with ten minutes to spare and went to her trailer to drop her things off. All she’d really need for hair and makeup was her phone to entertain her while she was made over by the artists, plus she could make some Tik Tok content for her fans as well as long as someone else agreed to be in the videos with her. It was a new marketing strategy her management team had come up with, one that they were heavily pushing.

After relaxing in her own trailer for a bit, Artem let out a sigh and headed towards the hair and makeup trailer. Her call time was 7:15 and it was 7:05 now, so she was a bit early. Still, it was better to be early than late, right?

Olivia Alvarez
Ready to start the day
On set/Makeup trailer
Olivia woke up to her alarm going off and sighed as she reached over to turn off her ringing phone. Second week back on set and she was still finding the morning routine difficult to get used to, Olivia did love a lie in but with the little amount of time in the day when on set she had to once again get used to being up before the sun.

In one swift movement so not to back out of the action, Olivia got out of bed, made her way over to her walk in wardrobe and threw on the gym clothes she had chosen last night. Olivia checked her phone to confirm her trainer would actually be present before grabbing her water bottle and leaving the house.

Nothing like a morning workout to start the day

She groaned as she thought of her trainers morning mantra and usual excitement and hoped that she went easy on her today, she was still a little fragile after the party in Artems over the weekend.

After an intense 45 minute workout, a sweaty and physically exhausted but at least now mentally awake, Olivia dragged herself out of her car and into the house, all she wanted to do was lie down for a moment to rest her now jelly like legs but she was also afraid that if she lay down then she would not get back up and so she opted for a hot shower instead. Once out of the shower, Olivia carried out her morning skincare routine before making her way back into her bedroom. Checking the time, Olivia frowned as she saw it was now 6.50am, she had to leave within the next 5 minutes and groaned loudly as she realised she was now running late.

At least i don't have to do hair and makeup

It was a god send really that the hair and makeup were done by professional artists, it was a big burden taken off the morning routine for the cast and Olivia was grateful for that, especially now as she quickly brushed her hair and towel dried it as best she could, allowing her hair to finish drying naturally on her drive to studio. Olivia didn't put much thought into her clothes this morning, she never really did on shooting days, after all she would soon be in Brynn Petersons wardrobe for the day and with that thought she threw on a comfy casual outfit just to get her to the studio.

**********************

Olivia arrived at the studio right on schedule and was amazed at herself for the time she had managed to makeup through shortcuts and realistically the speeding but that last one didn't need to be public knowledge. She sat in her car for a moment as she scrolled through her phone, her mind going over the conversation herself and Ryder had with the Director and Agents last week as she prepared herself to play the part of being madly in love with Ryder. It was a secret to all but each other which made it that even more difficult as they had to pretend at all times, at least the pair did get on and had already enjoyed each other's company from time to time but having to pretend to be in a relationship was a whole new situation for Olivia and she just hoped she didn't somehow blow it.

Olivia took a deep breath before stepping out of her car and heading towards the hair and makeup trailer. Stepping in to the trailer Olivia grinned "Morning all" Olivia immediately made herself a coffee from the coffee machine in the corner before taking her seat in front of the mirror.
