All she had was Alfie until he left her for some upcoming model he met at a party. Humiliated, Dolores' kept her distance from her parents and struggled to figure out how life would work out as a single mom. After four years since the death of one baby and struggling to cope and raise the other, she decided life was too short to stay angry with her parents.

Dolores extended an olive branch which they gladly accepted and apologized for their treatment of her. They slowly began making amends and falling back into a steady rhythm. She visited a lot more with Anya in tow. Eventually, she allowed Anya to spend a day with them while she worked on getting photos for a news station about an violent accident in a rich neighborhood. When she returned from work, her family was nowhere to be found.
