Sooo I make art in my spare time and I am looking for a nice, lil art community where we can all share art and tips. I am a self taught artist but I never really take art seriously enough to really get super good at it (or at least put in the effort to do studies and such ^-^"). Anyone know how to trick yourself into just sketching more?

Oh yeah, intros. I am an old hag who likes to wave her pens around from time to time. I am a cat lady, creative therapy student, who will kill for sweets and a good book (currently reading the second book of GoT huehue). I am a lonely hermit and nobody will ever understand me -dramatically faints and falls on floor, then gets back up again, as if nothing happened- c:

Hi, thanks for sharing your stuff! I thought it was groovy. I made this rough sketch of a face because I wanted to learn how to make characters, but I can never overcome my anxiety or can I focus long enough to finish anything. Anyways, have a good day.

Hey, this looks so good! I am also really impatient and anxious when making art. I don't even want to start learning because I get so anxious! I love your chara, though! What`s her name? :D
 
Your art is awesome! I'm loving the spiritual and or emotional aspects of these pieces!
 
Lol sure thing, here's one I did recently, mine are mostly digital, it's kinda big and I don't want to take up space lol

Thanks so much!! I wanted to do something fun with the sun and moon, so in this the sun was jealous of the moon and stole their face, because they were always smiling, moon wasn't having it though lol

I really love how you depicted the sun and the moon! I`ve never seen anything like it before! <3 The scene also looks like something out of a really artsy manga. Would def get my hands on it if you made one :D

AHHHHHH tysm!!! Yes, these are my babes! The guy on the right is a futuristic Lady Gaga ish idol and on the left is his crushing fan! That's the best I can describe without going on and on, haha!

Haha- I'll keep it to my thread to not seem like I'm clogging or something! I do draw though. <3 And thanks... ;_; I just try to give people some comments they deserve.
 
I don't even come close as good like the next person or like ya'll in general but this is like my only decent work out of all the trash i made in the past!

Ah, don't say that! I think you're really good! It's okay, your style will come to you eventually, it just takes time!

I get the struggle of trying not to compare your art with others, but we gotta avoid doing that or we will drive ourselves crazy! x_x
