With all the reassurance and pampering the rookies were getting it made Nakano wonder if they were raising up these hero wannabes to be an army of wimps. Was this a hero agency or a daycare? Maybe all of them needed the character-building experience that was getting beaten up by Eagle till a near senseless state of mind. After all, that was Nakano’s introduction to the world of heroes and just look at her, she turned out completely fine. Without any intentions of joining into the wholesome parade of newbie consoling Nakano simply waited for the brain-lacking Ichiro to commence the debriefing. Speaking of which:

"(...)Since you all are so impatient, I'll cut to the chase. We are escorting a villain that goes by the name of Magma, you've probably heard about him. The dude can throw up lava on command so he's no pushover. He was the fifth most wanted villain in Japan a few months ago. In a few hours, we'll take the company vehicle and travel along with the motorcade. Some of us will be in the cop escort vehicles to spread us out along the motorcade. Things should go smoothly but if anything happens, I'm confident we can deal with it. The last thing we need is him being killed or even worse, freed."

Great, lava. The uglier and scarier cousin of fire. What else, were they all gonna be walking through a burning town as they escorted him? Was Eagle pulling some sort of ill-timed prank by putting her into the list of attendees? Or did he simply overlook such an obvious fact about the tiger girl? Oh god, don’t tell me Eagle is going senile. Whatever the case was, she wasn’t about to show weakness so easily in front of her agency peers, the last thing she wanted was to join the rookie pity party. Hell, all this worrying about the villain’s powers almost made it so that Nakano overlooked Ichiro’s initial litter box comments. Almost, ‘cause she still took a mental note on the ever expanding list of why Karate Kid needed his head bashed in.

“God, we already have our mission, why haven’t we moved our asses YET!?” Was Nakano’s only contribution to the whole planning conversation that had taken over the room, this phase of any mission had never been her forte. “If you guys want to sit on your thumbs all day then suit yourself, I am outta here.” And with Nakano’s ever-helpful seething input to the team out of the way the tiger girl began heading out of the meeting room, though not before firing back some words towards her most favorite senior: “And by the way Karate Kid, I am driving this time. We don’t need a grandpa behind the wheel.” Such bold words from someone whose driving license had been revoked multiple times already due to the danger she posed to anyone even near the street she’d drive on.

Nakano’s arrival at the garage was a swift one, she just wanted to get all of this over with already, a sentiment she did not share with her more cautious teammates If worst came to worst and any vigilantes were to assault the convoy all that Nakano hoped for was for them to successfully kill off Magma so that her worries were put at ease. Hell, maybe she’d go easier on them as a show of thanks. At the very least Nakano was gonna get everyone from point A to point B in a breeze seeing how she was gonna be dr-

With her choice of making a hasteful exit from the meeting Nakano failed to realize the obvious fact that in order for her to be the driver she needed the keys to the car, keys that were currently possessed by the king of wimps himself. Initially she considered the idea of yelling at Ichiro over the radio, demanding him to bring over the keys. But this man didn’t deserve such pleasantries, all that Nakano had to do was lie in wait for the perfect chance to present itself for her to snatch the keys from Ichiro at any point during the mission. Ambushes are a tiger’s specialty after all.

Masaru listened patiently, simultaneously stifling a laugh when Ichiro took a jab at Nakano smelling like a litter box. His ears honed in as the drunk let out all the details of their upcoming mission, of course the drunk did so with quite the sardonic undertone. What struck the flame hero the most about all of it, however, wasn’t about their escortee’s infamy as a former fifth most wanted villain in Japan, but that he had a high temperature quirk like his - particularly a lava one; to spit a hot, fluid element on command, things could get ugly for sure.

Normally he would’ve been pumped to be facing such danger although something about the quirk churned the insides of his stomach. It felt like a bunch of old, cloudy memories were resurfacing, but the show name was pretty laughable and simplistic - ‘Magma,’ it more or less distracted him from the sudden feeling of discomfort that arose out of the blue.

Despite Ichiro’s heavy sarcasm making it slightly unbearable to keep listening, he was able to carefully pick up on all of the important details. Immediately after their short informative session, Ichiro didn’t hold back on his own opinions; his reply to everyone’s reaction on their new task: he simply didn’t care and that ‘maybe hero work isn’t for you.’ Yeah it probably isn’t, the pro-hero approach anyway, but hey I’m here because I would’ve been hunted down by that bird.

He was about to go and check his phone, a notification bubble underneath the current time. His hand was halfway through his pocket when he heard his name being mentioned, his 'nickname' to be specific. "If you have any questions, better voice them now. I know details is hard for you candlehead."

Why was he being singled out in all of this? Whatever Ichiro tried to imply by the comment, he decided to deal with it then and there. Right after Charlie, it seemed like it was his turn to pop off although he made sure that he dealt with it with class, never in a way that made him look like some big upset baby, considering the two of them had an audience. Feigning a sympathetic tone, Masaru stared down Ichiro and pointed at his own eyes, “Tsk, tsk, Treasure Map... You need to get your eyes checked? Those X-shaped pupils screwing your vision up?”

Dropping the act, he narrowed his eyes; two hazel orbs gazed sharply at their target, filled with sharp indifference. He shot back one more time, “I’m not a mirror you know, I can catch details just fine. But can you say the same thing about yourself? Walking around with alcohol all day in whatever shape or form, you could be out cold any minute.”

Although before he walked out of the conversation, he crossed his arms and tapped his fingers and sighed, “But rest assured, this guy won’t be killed or freed on my- on our watch. It’s a team effort that we’ll all complete together, even if you do decide to hug the ground with your face at one point.”

With that out of his system, he turned his attention to everyone else who was in his group. Discussion sprung up about where during the transport, they’d be situated at. He wasn’t exactly sure about where he wanted to be himself, save for the newer rookie who didn’t get a choice it seemed. When the old man spoke about being in a police car, he thought that’d be the best option for him too; at least then, he could focus and not get distracted, away from the temptation of making idle talk with other heroes. Better yet, to avoid any meaningless bickering with Ichiro or potentially getting mauled by that tiger-girl that had quite the explosive temper. Although the biggest reason for him was just as Mr. Fist explained, if there was a need to get up close and personal-

“I have a feeling that this may be the perfect initiation for Haywire and Slowburn…”

”Well Mr. Ling, I for one am tired of all this initiation talk. First it was supposed to be the mall outing, now it’s with an escort mission. I’m already working with the big boys, aren’t I already part of ‘the’ team?” he mumbled, slightly miffed that he was being grouped with Charlie - who he also thought was more than qualified for her job despite not seeing her quirk first-hand just yet.

An icy voice quietly called out, he turned his head to see Katherine although he preferred calling her Nexette. For him, it was a way to keep things professional between the two of them, especially since he’s yet to invite her to a match to test each other's skills. She noted about being aware of personal safety and that despite being quirk-users, they all, him included, should be careful during the mission that they were about to undertake.

Masaru simply gave her a thumbs up, he wasn’t planning on taking too many unnecessary risks; but as much as he was aware of what all of this could entail, he couldn’t make any promises; sometimes sacrifices had to be made paired with the fact that he was simply stubborn to the point that he wouldn't heed warning. It was something he was conscious of and wanted to work on even if it could be annoying to surrender or back down, as wise of a choice that could be in very appropriate times. It's something he'll most likely never willingly open to admit but he has somewhat of a track record making foolish decisions and in turn ending up with some pretty regrettable outcomes.

Tatsuo approached him once more, talking to him with the same gentle voice, only what was different was her wording, slightly assertive as if he made a mistake which he realized all too late that he did, ”And please, you can just call me Miko."

”Ah of course, haha who’d use the ‘The’...erm,” he scratched the back of his head, feeling a bit bashful, “Miko it is, right -Miko-senpai. Ahem- I think I’m all set, so I'm ready when you all are,” Now with no stupid designer clothes holding me back "-And it seems like the tiger's already been let loose," gesturing with his head in reference to Nakano storming out of the meeting room.

Oh... sweet summer child...

As the old man was getting prepared, suddenly someone had caught his attention. The direct answer by ( Itsui Itsui ) Katayama clearly caught him by surprise, his eyebrows being raised about the height of his shiny forehead. What he thought it was an innocuous comment, clearly wasn’t taken like that. Much on the contrary, it appeared that there was some offense taken by it. He looked at the young man for quite a few moments. It appeared that Gao was starting to answer him, his mouth opening slightly, before abruptly stopping, closing and giving up. And, even thought he wished he had said nothing, it was already too late. An apologetic expression formed on his face, and that was as much as he could muster in such a situation.

Next, Nanako mentioned the old man’s driving prowess. He was thankful for that abrupt interjection, moving his attention away from the miffed Katayama and to the tiger girl’s ( Servant Servant ) crazy antics - “I will have you know that I DO NOT have a driver’s license and still have better chances of getting us there in one piece, Taiga-chan” - he refuted in full force, a smirk forming on the corner of his mouth, clearly jesting. He would certainly rather not to drive, because what he had just said was the truth: he never bothered to learn how to drive. Why drive when you can get anywhere by foot or train? But it was clear that a vehicle was indispensable for the mission there were about to embark on.

“Well, I am not getting any younger by staying there. At this rate, I may actually reach nirvana before I get out the door” - Gao said, giving a small nod towards Tatsuo ( AriAriAbabwa AriAriAbabwa ), followed by a glance towards Katayama, before following Nanako’s lead and exiting the meeting room towards the garage. Gao moved as if there was a spring on his step, despite his steps being almost inaudible, making his way to the designated location just in time to see the tiger girl failing miserably at opening the door of the car. He leaned against the wall of the garage, crossing his arms. His mouth didn’t utter a single word, and yet his facial expression spoke volumes about that situation. There was nothing to be done at that point, but wait the group make his way to the car.

Ichiro's red gaze landed on Charlie after hearing the question imposed on him. If I had my way, you wouldn't be on the mission at all. Ichiro moved his feet off the table and sat up to address her question, "Your purpose will be however I see fit and right now that's in a supportive role. Considering you operate like an Amazon™ Echo, I thought I'd place you where you would be able to utilize your abilities. If you have any objections, you are more than welcome to sit up front with me." He said, returning the bluntness right back. These new recruits really knew how to get Ichiro's gears turning. Despite his slight intoxication, it didn't stop him from thinking clearly.

His red gaze turned to the other rookie who decided to speak up and Katayama had just as much as an attitude as Charlie. Must be the rebellious phase I've heard so much about. A rare grin formed at his lips as he listened to Katayama's words. "Tsk-tsk Katayama, big boys don't forget their ear piece. I'm afraid you severely underestimate my abilities." Ichiro said, leaning in closer to Katayama to the point where the rookie could smell the cigarettes and alcohol on his breath, "I don't know what you think of me, but the last thing I'd do is let my vices get in the way of my job. Worry about your own abilities, I sure as hell haven't seen them yet." His grin faded just as quickly as it came, rising from his chair. "If you have any last minute things to do, do it now. We'll be leaving in a few minutes."

He followed the old man and the litter box out the door to the garage. The last thing I'd do is let that damn cat drive. He almost instinctively reached for his flask but it was basically empty at that point, he wasn't interested in the scraps. He walked next to the old man, swinging the key around in a circular motion, "When did rookies become such nuisances? Eagle would have smacked me across the face for even speaking to him like that. I hope things pan out in the end." Ichiro said to Gao, shifting his gaze to him as he awaited the arrival of the others. Ichiro had much respect for Gao, a firm believer in respecting one's elders.

.. uhh,, everyone still in the room ig?
.

The debriefing of the mission didn’t end up taking too long at all, and it felt as if the avian man left as soon as he appeared. The indirect jab towards the slacking “some” (which he assumed he was apart of) didn’t go unnoticed; but, if anything, perhaps it was better that that was the image cast upon him… even though it seemed bit strange in his head. If that’s how Eagle perceived him, then why was he requested to transfer agencies in the first place? Omoikane couldn’t help but squint at the door where Eagle left from in half-hearted scrutiny.

While the others went onto their debate about the nature of the mission, and subsequently, their roles, the teal-haired male only watched. When it came down to groups, he was placed in the more idle of the two, which meant he probably wouldn’t be doing anything unless something went wrong with “group A” and they had to receive backup; either that, or some other issue would come up while the others were gone and they’d have to be available for damage control. Whatever the case would end up being, he internally sulked over the thought that he probably could’ve been late and nothing would’ve suffered because of it. What a waste…!

Noticing that a few people were beginning to depart, Omoikane absentmindedly waved goodbye to them and took note of those he’d be stuck with for the next however many hours(?)―two of which were none other than Nexette and Phantasm, the heroes he ate ramen with the day before. The others were Springer, the rabbit hero who had left the room as well but to do something on his own; Marionette, the edgy-looking guy with an eyepatch who he recognized as the one who spotted him as the ‘culprit’ and proceeded to leave anyway; and of course, himself… who he believed would’ve made the mission a breeze if things happened how they were supposed to (see: by his old agency’s standards. they weren’t entirely moral in the way they did things).

… Not that he was going to say anything about it, though. Maybe he could start an interrogation to figure out what happened to his snacks instead? With that thought, a slight sigh escaped his still sitting form, followed by an inquiry directed to no specific individual: “Then... what do the rest of us do now?”―which may have seemed odd, since You’re a hero. You always have something to do. And yes, that was true, and normally he would’ve spent idle work days assisting hospitals or dealing with medical emergencies... However, here, he didn’t know if he was expected to stay at the building or not. (Hopefully they didn’t plan on making him do boring paperwork too, since he knew better than anyone else that if left up to him, none would get done at all.)

► Ugetsu Minase [PHANTASM]
Finding an inconspicuous corner in the meeting room to settle down, Ugetsu set down the umbrella that had been hanging haphazardly off his elbow and propped himself against the wall. Despite the conversations (if you could even call them that) in the room rapidly growing heated, the blue-haired male ignored the chaos in favor of absorbing this morning’s precious calories. Incidents such as whatever was going on with Nakano and the Elmo Chair was a given the moment any of them were gathered in a single room. This is fine.

By the time Eagle had made his appearance to start the meeting, Ugetsu had already polished off his breakfast. For the sake of decorum, he ceased the light tapping of his feet throughout the duration of the meeting. Regardless of how his quirk worked, he didn’t wish to pose a distraction. However, it didn’t appear that there was any new information, aside from a mission that involved Eagle Agency sending off a security detail for a villain of all things. Considering the nature of their work as well as the typical idealized mindset of certain heroes, he couldn’t imagine all were pleased about the arrangement, which became clear when Charlie expressed her misgivings. As for Ugetsu himself, well, the death of a villain without due penance didn’t contribute to society did it?

After the heroes chosen for the given mission had long left the room, a voice piped up. “Then… what do the rest of us do now?”

Ugetsu removed himself from the wall he was still leaning on to turn towards Omoikane. Ah, it was the newcomer that had been mistaken for a suspect. Removing his gaze from the male, he began to idly walk from one wall of the room to another.

“Hmm, well. Nothing is better than prevention, right?”
Ugetsu said while lifting up his hand to count off various tasks.
“Patrols, incident reports, looking into past cases that might share similarities with current cases, etcetera. Not too different from any other agency.”
In a way, he was glad that a hero’s job wasn’t always about chasing after the day’s next biggest villain. The less incidents there were, the better it was for the peace of the city. However, he couldn’t say that being stuck in an office handling civilian calls and dealing with paperwork was a favorite part of his work either.

“Speaking of, I still need to file an incident report regarding the fire from yesterday.”
Ugetsu sighed. He halted his pacing back-and-forth to return his gaze towards Omoikane.
“Are you familiar with the layout of the agency yet? If not, I’m sure we could at least show you around the office areas. Isn’t that right, Miss Mae?”
Recalling that the purple-haired hero had been injured the previous day, Ugetsu promptly amended his suggestion with an apologetic tone.
“That is, if you’re feeling well enough.”

An Amazon Echo? Did she look like a damn Alexa? Charlie decided to not bother, narrowing her eyes at the sight of Ichiro getting up in Katayama's personal space. If she didn't know any better, Charlie would have assumed that they were about to kiss right in front of her eyes. The rookie ignored Nakano's loud attempt at drawing attention to herself, catching the antsy hero in her peripheral before she disappeared. Did she even have the keys?

Yeah, Charlie was thankful to be in the back, the more she thought about it.

Bright eyes watched as everyone left the meeting room, leaving her with mostly heroes assigned to stay behind. "God, maybe this mouth-breather villain can end my misery.." She muttered, begrudgingly pushing herself up and away from the table. It didn't take long for her to catch up, following the assortment of obnoxious voices through the halls, eventually leading to the garage. Once arriving, she could just make out the former hero talking shit about herself and Katayama,

"When did rookies become such nuisances? Eagle would have smacked me across the face for even speaking to him like that. I hope things pan out in the end." She arched a brow, fists now shoved into the pockets of her pink jacket,

"I think it happened a little bit after I fucked your mom.. Wait, no, maybe before?" Charlie finished off with a tight-lipped smile, picking up the pace so that she stood on the other side of Ichiro. She couldn't help herself. Especially after this supposed 'pro' just compared her to Alexa of all AI.. Gross. The likelihood of her getting hit, fired, or even used as bait for this villain was increasing exponentially.

Oh, well. Might as well have some fun.

~Mountains of Paperwork~
Sitting at his desk, Jin had already begun the arduous task of diving through the mountainous pile of paperwork that had accumulated over the last couple of days. Whilst paperwork was nothing new to the hero, the recent spree of incidents occurring had made the current pile 'above average' in terms of size. Of course, it wasn't just the recent fire that had broken out or the assassination that had caused this mountain of documentation to appear. As was standard practice in their line of work, there was also documents and case files from previous incidents to go through. Ranging from documentation that simply needed the I's dotted and the t's crossed to documentation that required a full debrief of 'his version of events.

Needless to say, there was also the odd bit of fan mail hidden among the dozens upon dozens of documentation literally stacked in front of him. Fan mail was something that nearly every hero got and it was always something that Jin looked forward to finding whenever his brain threatened to implode from all the various official paperwork that he had to go through.

Sighing and cracking his knuckles as Jin filed away what must have been his dozenth document, Jin leaned back in his chair and took a moment to relax, ear pods buried deep within his ears as the sound of soothing house music played from some random YouTube playlist he had absentmindedly clicked.

Gao returned ( Slav Slav ) Ichiro’s gaze as soon as he spoke with the old man, nodding with him as soon as he shared his feelings about the newcomers. He shared the exact same feelings as his colleague. In fact, the rookies were at a point of being out of control. He would have never replicated that kind of behaviour in his olden days, knowing the punishment by doing so would be quite severe - “Are those really the heroes we will have to rely on in the future?” - he thought to himself, clearly being even disheartened by the very thought of it. That made only one thing very clear: Gao’s plans for retirement in a few months would have to be discarded. He couldn’t, in his right mind, pass the torch knowing they wouldn’t be in safe hands. And, while he knew he shouldn’t measure how effective those wippersnappers would be on the field based on their lack of respect, he knew that, more often than not, it translated directly into how overconfident they were. And overconfidence was a slow, insidious killer.

The bald hero opened his mouth to answer Ichiro’s comment, when ( leviohsa leviohsa ) Charlie entered the room. Haywire answered Karate King’s comment with an exponentially unhinged, obscene comment about his mother, which visibly put the bald hero off his peace of mind. He wouldn’t, and couldn’t, just let that slide and, even though Ichiro was more than capable to defend himself, or his mother in this case, Fist was sure that the reprimand would come in some sort of ineffective joke or something of sorts - “THAT IS ENOUGH!” - he bellowed towards the technologically inclined hero. His voice was likely heard, echoing from the halls by the group who would stay behind for another assignment. His eyes gazed at her, narrowed, as he made his way and stopped just in front of her. Due to his smaller stature, he actually had to look upwards to meet her gaze and the sight must have been ridiculous to any outside spectator that had no idea of what was going on - “Peters-san, I understand that Ichiro remarks may make someone’s blood boil, but that is still no excuse for that kind of language” - it was clear that, as he talked, he was being very careful to regulate what he was saying. The peaceful, calm and funny elderly was nowhere to be seen, however, Haywire couldn’t see any aggression or hate coming from him. Just disappointment.

But all of that had a reason to be happening, didn’t it? With the exact same face, he turned to Karate King, pointing at him. There were quite a few things that he wanted to say to Ichiro, but he held it in. To say those now, in front of Charlie and Nanako would corrode his authority. The bald hero had enough experience to know concepts such as ‘united leadership’, albeit his expression and behavior made it clear for all those who saw it that both men would have a conversation later, at some point - “You, Katayama-san and every agent here clearly earned your place. Eagle is rarely wrong about his picks and, if you are here it clearly means there is, at the very least, something worthy about you… about everyone of us” - he said, turning again towards Haywire. He didn’t want to make any of them disheartened about working there and clearly believed in what he was saying. And with that, his hand suddenly shot towards the keys Ichiro was swinging, as much in an attempt to snatch it as to test how distracted he was.

Katherine was glad that everyone knew their limits, but also knew they could handle the situation. Giving the team a nod, she went to make her way out as the conflict began to rise within the room We fight just as a family would do... That's a good relationship... she thought to herself before pausing upon hearing Omo asking what the rest of them would do. Followed by Ugetsu "We do what we have to, Omo-San..." her eyes shifted to Ugetsu who mentioned some Incident reports and possibly showing Omo around the agency "Don't worry about the incident report...I made sure to fill out what I could, and surely others already had..." she put her hand onto her hip "As for a tour, you could show him around. I have other business to attend to...Some research as you will..." as much as she did want to show the recruit around, she wanted to dive into the reasoning behind the target that was painted on her back.

As she stepped out from the room, she heard the yelling ensue, which made her internally snicker. For a moment, she stopped in the middle of the hallway, knowing very well she may need another set of eyes on her investigation. "Tsukuyomi..." she muttered before turning around and going back to the room "Tsukuyomi, you're with me...I'm going to need help with this..." hopefully he heard her because she was not going to repeat herself. After that, the Hero went over towards the offices, going into her own little area and booting up her computer. As she sat down, she stared at the booting screen, thinking about what she was going to do. First was to open the database they had access to, search what the Police had gotten from the suspect. This was an assassination-like attempt. There had to be more information than just the baseline of 'missing a shot'. It bugged her to know that someone tried to shoot her and scar up that pretty little face of hers (even though she really didn't care to begin with).

Nexette leaned toward one of the drawers of her desk and went through the files within, looking for the report she filed (and knowing her, she made a copy for herself). Once she found it, she pulled it out and read it, knowing very well what was on the paper. Of course my words never changed but... The shooter purposely missed me...Was there a reason for that? her eyes narrowed a little bit and as soon as she was prompted to put her login information in, she placed the page down and typed in her credentials and opened up a specific program which asked for more login information. Once allowed in, she took a look at the report number and put it into the system search bar. From there she was able to pull up the information from the case, getting a name, age, and much more from the assassinator.

So this is who you are... she leaned back into her chair and placed her hand on her chin as she studied the information given to her. What was on him, what was inside the bag (Which was a sniper rifle with a few pictures of the long-term agents at the Agency. Like herself, Tsuki, Ichiro, etc. It wasn't only her that had a target. There was a reason, but what reason? He killed a Villain... Why would Heroes be in that mix too? This alone confused her but she knew there was something. As a woman of observing tendencies and more, it couldn't go unnoticed. "I'd ask Jin some favors but I'm sure we're not to leave unless needing to...Hmm..."

Bloody Paper Trail
Tsukuyomi Hachiman

Tsukuyomi was very bored, after all, he was sitting in his chair restlessly because of the lack of work that he wanted to get done but didn't exist. This is what I get for staying up doing paperwork. I should have just been as lazy as everyone else. As he continued to fade in and out of his thoughts he finally heard someone talking directly toward him "Tsukuyomi... " What would Kathy want with him? Out of all the people in the agency, why would she want to ask him for something? Maybe she was done with her work as well and maybe they could go ahead and grab some coffee and pastries? It seems that today was not going to be very eventful for those at the agency. "Tsukuyomi, You're with me... I'm going to need help with this..." Well, it seems like he was going to have something to do after all. Whatever it was, it was very important to her, so he decided to help her out. The Hero got up from the table with what's left of his old cigar, and headed towards the office area, finding himself following her.
As he opened the door that led to Kathy's office, the first sight he saw was her sitting at her computer and starting to look through files within her desk. Clearly, he can tell that whatever she's planning on looking up, it's not just some sort of business-as-usual. There was definitely either a grudge or a wanting of answers from what he could understand.

As he stood in the doorway he started to think If I’m going to be helping search some files, I'm going to have to make my morning coffee with a little bit more spice. Walking away from Katherine's office he returned to his own, finding himself making his Irish coffee and for Kathy: Mai Tai. Mai Tais were her favorite drink. She seemed to be a fruity drinker rather than a coffee drinker, in fact, Tsukuyomi wasn't sure if he ever saw her pick up a small cup of coffee one morning. After he was done he walked over back to Kathy's office and took a seat in front of her desk while placing down her beverage as well as his own.

Tsukuyomi then remembered that he needed to get his tablet, so he got back up and went back to his office, picking up his tablet and then returning once again to Katherine's office. He began to go through his tablet to try and help out Kathy with her investigation. The only sounds you could hear within the room were the sounds of keys being tapped. Kathy managed to find the man's file and not even a second after that Tsukuyomi came across the same file. He leaned back in his chair and began to sip on his drink as he quietly read the police report stated before him. it seems like the usual file for a normal Thug until he found something he didn't expect. He read the file that stated that there were pictures of known Heroes within the bag, specifically those of the agency. It took all of his might not to spit out his drink because he knew Kathy would kill him if he made a mess in her office. After he swallowed his drink the first words that came out of his mouth were: “The son of a bitch was trying to kill you." Did Eagle know about this? If he did, then why the hell would he send out agents? Clearly, this man wasn't a petty criminal; He was a Hitman. Even though he was furious on the inside he kept a cool and calm posture. You looked up towards Kathy without any hesitation and he told her, "We probably should warn the people on babysitting Duty because I don't think this guy would be working alone.” To be honest, the Heroes he was worried about were Gao and Miko. Ichiro not so much, he was able to dodge a bullet while the other two couldn't. Nakano was safe from the dangers just because of her cat-like instincts and brute force.

Tsukuyomi wasn't sure what to think. His own colleague almost got killed just yesterday. "Kathy, are you not worried that you almost got killed?" watching her purple gaze look towards him, she shook her head, causing him to wonder what was going on in that little head of hers. "Are you even worried about those in the agency?" After that question, she seemed to stare at him, almost as if she was silently throwing daggers towards him. A second later her soft voice filled the air "Of course I care about those in the agency, why would you assume something like that..?" He sat there questioning himself. She was right, why would he assume something like that? He regretted asking the question. “Hey, Im sorry…”

Tatsuo appeared in the garage doorway, holding her hands over her chest and letting the sleeves hide them. She'd been standing there the moment Charlie gave her own piece to the alcohol-loving hero, having arrived last after looking for a place to leave her empty cup. And, watching Gao raise his voice—an uncommon sight for sure—at a simplistic mother joke, Tatsuo had to wonder: did Eagle form this band as a get-to-know-each-other outing, with her and Gao to keep it peace?

Either way, Charlie had heard enough from Gao; it fell upon the Miko to address the other instigator.

"Sincerely speaking, Ichiro is just as much at fault." Tatsuo entered the fray with light steps and a calm, matter-of-fact tone. "One does not provoke a dog and expect it not to bark." As if she'd entered, the shrine-maiden went on to pull a folding chair from the wall and have a seat while waiting for the heroes to stop playing with the keys. "Incidentally, I experienced similar treatment in my own days as a rookie..."

Charlie could hold her own ground, that much was made apparent in the meeting room. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't share a few things about the person the rookie currently spat with. With a smile part-amused, and rising with an unusual irritation, Tatsuo clapped the air beside her head. "Did you know, Charlie, that a few weeks after my arrival, a drunken Ichiro thought it funny to urinate on the shrine?" The light laughter that followed didn't feel as soft as it was supposed to be.

Ichiro stood up once more and Masaru resisted the urge to fixate his eyes on him because there was no real need to. It didn’t look like the drunk was talking to him specifically this time. So he took it as an opportunity to reach for his phone, briefly switching out of ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode so he could check the messages his niece left him.

A bright green glow settled on his face as he was greeted by his phone’s background, the natural scenery of Hokkaido. As pretty as it was, he had to dial down the brightness a bit. Despite hearing bits and pieces of Ichiro’s ‘Amazon Echo’ comment towards Charlie, Masaru paid them no mind. Fingers brushed over the old text message notification that had gone untouched since Eagle’s short appearance. He tapped on it and it routed him back to his conversation from this morning.

Untitled4-20211029212543.png

Immediately after he finished reading through it, his chance to reply was completely stripped away from him when he was addressed by Ichiro again, “Tsk, tsk, Katayama,” the drunk began with a strangely confident tone. Masaru took note of his senior’s advancing steps towards him and made his own moves - staggering back slightly as the gap between the two men decreased. Then unexpectedly, Ichiro flicked a smug grin, “Big boys don't forget their earpiece.”

They were practically face-to-face now and while Masaru wanted to hold his annoyed scowl at Ichiro, he had to turn away; a putrid scent pervaded his nose - hints of alcohol and cigarettes swirled around him every time the drunk’s breath grazed his skin. Ichiro continued, taking a step further, leaning closer, “I'm afraid you severely underestimate my abilities - I don't know what you think of me, but the last thing I'd do is let my vices get in the way of my job. Worry about your own abilities, I sure as hell haven't seen them yet."

“First,” he said with a nasal twang as he pinched his nose to block the strong, foul odor. The flame hero backed off so that there was a more comfortable distance between the two of them, “Haven’t you heard about personal space?” Ignoring Ichiro’s comment about the earpiece entirely because he guessed that it would turn into a whole thing, talk about an actual rookie mistake, but he brushed it off. There were more important things that he wanted to address that his senior pointed out.

He returned his gaze back on Ichiro’s face, but it was too smug; it was like he was seeing someone new for the first time, this assertive, somewhat sassy side of Ichiro bothered him more than it should have. Masaru wanted to rip that cheeky smile off his senior, something about it started to build an irritation inside of him, and he would’ve let himself loose if there weren’t other heroes around.

It was hard. Really hard.

But he managed to pull through as tough as it was keeping his cool. “Listen. Don’t put words in my mouth. I never said you weren’t capable.”

Unfortunately, his level-headedness was quite short-lived when his own abilities were questioned. It was like throwing a match into firewood; a spike in animosity took control of him and without any trace of hesitancy, he stormed right up to Ichiro and grabbed ahold of his shoulder and looked him right in the eye.

Masaru clenched his robe with such firmness, but quickly let go, it was a good thing he had his quirk-resistant gloves on. That could've turned even more ugly if he hadn't. What he did, at the very least though was without a doubt disrespectful, probably even pathetic that he got upset over something that was probably trivial in everybody else’s eyes. He put his eyes down on the floor, but his bitter tone continued to run amok, “Are you already experiencing memory loss or are you just playing dumb? You’ve already seen my quirk so don’t f-...s-screw around."

He lifted his head back up and resumed in a slightly more composed tone and expression although his following words didn't match as they still held some sort of aggressiveness, "Now if you want to see my boxing skills firsthand, I’ll be glad to give you a private session that’ll knock you into next week. So that way you won't even need your flask. But what about my abilities? If your boss hired me, then I’m just as competent as you and anyone else here.”

He took a deep breath right after that and toyed with his headband's long flaps, “Psh~ Well whatever, Treasure Map. It looks like we both have something to prove to each other. I don't have any questions. I think we've already spent too much time doing nonsense anyways.”

The hero checked his pockets one last time to see if he had everything that he needed. As sad as he was to leave some of his personal items, at least he left them at the hotel this time so there wouldn't be a repeat of the incident from yesterday.

Masaru followed the rest of the group into where Nakano headed, the garage. He was the final one to enter the room, right after the shrine maiden hero Tatsuo.

As they were walking to their destination, he had been tuning everybody out, specifically Charlie and Ichiro because they were arguing like little children, in cat and dog fashion. It wasn’t until his attention came back to the two of them when he heard Charlie’s remark about Ichiro’s mother. At that, Gao boomed at the female rookie, spouting his disappointment, and when his piece was finished, Katayama couldn’t help but agree.

He found what came out of the tech-hero’s mouth pretty distasteful as much as Ichiro made his blood boil too. Her words were spoken in poor taste although he probably wasn’t any better as he slighted Ichiro in a physical way, a crinkle in his robe still showed when he squeezed it earlier.

The flame hero put his back against the wall, slightly away from everybody else as they all waited, and for what exactly? The keys to the vehicle were swinging in Ichiro’s hands. He watched them sway for a bit until the old man spoke once more, this time Gao's sentiment echoed what he recently pointed out to Ichiro, and he was glad. At least the older pro-hero was being neutral in all of this, instead of solely dishing out reprimands to the newer agency members, “You, Katayama-san and every agent here clearly earned your place. Eagle is rarely wrong about his picks and, if you are here, it clearly means there is, at the very least, something worthy about you… about every one of us.”

Not long after, Tatsuo inserted herself into the mess, to fix it rather, he could see clearly that she was trying to do her best to act as the group mediator and he found that honorable of her- Gao too after adding on to what he initially said. But if they were all like leaves in the same pond, this ripple must’ve ruffled her too and it showed beneath the gentle exterior, “One does not provoke a dog and expect it not to bark.” That much should be obvious he scoffed silently.

...wait, is she implying Charlie and I are like dogs?

The thought didn’t linger in his head for too long as Tatsuo set up a chair for her and continued, recalling a fond memory, except it wasn’t fond he bet. Maybe for Ichiro, but not for her. "Incidentally, I experienced similar treatment in my own days as a rookie... Did you know, Charlie, that a few weeks after my arrival, a drunken Ichiro thought it funny to urinate on the shrine?" A quiet gasp escaped his lips as light laughter escaped Tatsuo's. He covered his mouth. Well that was one way to discredit someone, it was like throwing hot coffee at their face. Masaru stared blankly at Ichiro to see how he would respond.

Shaking his head disapprovingly, he only said a few words at the newly learned information, "Wow. Treasure Map. Pissing on a shrine. Gotta say, that's real heroic of you."

Mr. Fist
Location: Eagle Agency Garage

The old man was already back at his neutral demeanor, albeit it wasn’t his usual relaxed one. He truly hoped his words would have a positive effect, not only on ( leviohsa leviohsa ) Charlie herself, but also ( Slav Slav ) Ichiro who wasn’t innocent in that whole incident. Suddenly, the other agents that were already in the garage could hear a few notification sounds coming from the bald hero. His hand patted, at first, the top part of his yi-fu. It searched the pockets mainly, then his hands moved to his pants. His left hand entered the side pocket of his pants, grabbing something and taking it out. It was a cellphone. Clearly Fist had forgotten to reduce its volume to zero, but his face clearly didn’t show any worry about being reprimanded for it.

Still, basically in front of Charlie, he brought the screen close to his face so he could see it. He unlocked the screen and his eyes started to dart, from left to right. The old man was reading something and, after checking whatever he had received for a long while, his eyes widened and his expression changed drastically. He had a dead serious look in his eyes and turned his face towards Ichiro - “I am afraid I won’t be able to participate in this mission…” - the old man appeared to be deep in thought. It seems the day he was expecting came. The breath deeply and sighed, before continuing - “... every Chinese national certified hero is being summoned back home. It seems the party has finally cracked and things are spiralling out of control. We were called to bring back order… funny”

It almost sounded like a joke made in poor taste and yet, Gao couldn’t see himself to just dismiss this and simply ignore it. He felt a deep obligation towards his home country and, while the thought things would remain unchanged, it seems he was grossly wrong. He turned his face towards the ( Servant Servant ) tiger girl - “I am sorry, Taiga-chan, but it seems I won’t be able to keep up my promise” - and, with that, he took a step, getting between both the technologically inclined hero and the Karate King. He got his hand on Ichiro’s shoulder, having to raise his hand quite a bit, squeezing it a bit - “Don’t let them get the bastard” - he forced his smile a bit, but the bald hero was visibly shook from the message he had just received. He turned to Haywire, giving her a nod and walking towards the door, doing the same with both ( Itsui Itsui ) Katayama and ( AriAriAbabwa AriAriAbabwa ) Tatsuo. The old man opened the door of the garage and walked off in the hallway. His steps got fainter with each second, until they couldn’t be heard anymore.

Ichiro didn't bother giving Charlie a look after what she said, he could feel his blood boiling more than before. If he looked in her direction, he would have found it hard to not slap her. Luckily, that seemed to be the last straw for Gao as he finally stepped in, probably more for the benefit of Charlie. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Gao's hand was starting towards the key in his hand. In one smooth movement, he simply moved his arm to the point where Gao wouldn't be able to reach it. "Gonna have to be quicker than that old man." He didn't really know what he was trying to accomplish but it would have never worked, especially with Ichiro's quirk.

As more people entered and added more to the conversation, Ichiro's patience increasingly grew thin. He was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off and anything could set it off. His eyes landed on Tatsuo, his red eyes giving an intense look. She just had to bring up that incident. Ichiro doesn't remember much or even remember doing it. He has learned to never get that drunk in the agency again. "Some things are better left unsaid and you went and did it anyways." That was the only response Ichiro could give without digging himself a deeper hole. His gaze switched to Katayama, who had decided to throw his own two cents into the conversation, "Interesting thought coming from a vigilante."

He turned away, turning his attention to Gao. The news he was presented with did not settle well with Ichiro. There goes my only ally on this trip. He was not in a good mood and the fact that Gao was leaving only made it worse. "Godspeed old man." Ichiro said, giving the key a twirl as he watched him walk away. This was officially going to be the worst mission in a long time. He made his way towards the vehicle and unlocked it with the press of a button. Instead of getting into the driver's seat, he placed the keys into Nakano's hands. "Have fun." Ichiro said, giving her a quick pat on the shoulder before walking to the opposite side of the vehicle. He took his place in the front next to the driver. He wasn't in the best mood to drive.

► Ugetsu Minase [PHANTASM]
Ugetsu nodded in understanding when Kathy excused herself. As one of the victims in the previous day’s incident, it was only natural for her to want urgent answers.
“In that case, best of luck,”
he said with a brief but cheerful wave. As for the new recruit…

Ugetsu turned towards Omoikane.
“Hmm, I suppose you’re stuck with me then.”
After retrieving his umbrella from where it was propped up against the wall, the blue-haired male motioned for Omoikane to follow him. As they walked through the hallways on the way to the office that their section was assigned to, he pointed out any facilities that happened to be on the way, in particular the break rooms and restrooms.

“And this,”
Ugetsu gestured towards their final destination,
“is the main office that you’ll be assigned to work in whenever you need to file any sort of paperwork. I'm sure Mr. Eagle will assign you a space soon, if he hasn't done so already.”
A quick survey around the room announced that it was rather empty this morning. No matter.
“You already know Nexette and Marionette, and over there is Springer.”

Tapping on the handle of his umbrella while thinking, Ugetsu looked from his desk to Omoikane and back.
“I was thinking of looking into something, so feel free to poke around the office or head down to explore the rest of the building. Else, there are some questions I’d like to ask.”

Krauss - The Specialist
Location: Flat -> Max Security Prison

Krauss held his cellphone against his left ear, with the support of his left shoulder. He was sitting at the edge of his dinner table, with his right foot touching the ground, supporting his weight, while his left foot was slightly raised. He was already dressed: he had his dark blue shirt, grey pants, belt and black leather shoes. His left hand was holding his revolver, with its chamber open, meanwhile his right hand held a small cleaning brush. He was always attentive of his firearm maintenance, as it was a piece of pretty important equipment and the last thing he wanted was for it to misfire or, even worse, not fire at all - "So, instead of going to the Agency, should I go directly to the prison yard?" - the brush went slowly inside the first chamber. Without hurry, he pushed it in and out of it, until he decided it was perfectly clean - "Of course sir, it is not a problem for me. I would say it is even better that I take point instead of presenting myself at the Agency in the afternoon" - his fingers move the brush to the second chambers, and he repeats the process again, taking his time to stick the brush all the way in the orifice and pull it out gently - "Yes, sir, I certainly am not stranger to it. If it comes to it, I will eliminate the Target without a problem. I really don't care about my reputation" - the Specialist repeated the process until all chambers were perfectly clean. After it, he did the exact same to the revolver's barrel, making sure it wasn't obstructed - "Of course sir, I am looking forward to talking with you personally as soon as the mission is over" - and with that, his phone call came to an end.

The blond hero placed the cleaning brush inside the maintenance box. Near it, there was a box filled with cartridges. Those were .44 special magnum rounds. His right hand reached for the box, getting six rounds for it, holding them in his palm. One by one, he loaded them into the empty chambers, not needing to spin the chamber, as he was holding the empty revolver in a good distance of himself. After loading the six rounds, he pushed the barrel into place. It made a nice, audible click, meaning it was correctly aligned. A grin formed on his lips, his left thumb moving and turning on the safety. Gripping the handle with his hand right, he brought the revolver to his line of sight, looking down the sights for a moment, checking if it was properly adjusted. After a few tweaks to it, he was happy and stored the revolver inside his chest holster, which was located on the left side of his chest, making it possible for him to draw the revolver using his right hand. He got up from the dinner table and made his way to the cupboard, grabbing a porcelain mug. He took the mug to the coffee-maker, letting it almost get filled up. While the mug was being filled up, he used that time to think about what kind of mission he was about to embark on. The Eagle, who was just on the phone with him, had given him a pretty detailed description of what was going on: Hofstadter was not strange to the action of vigilantes that were getting bolder and bolder with each passing day. Murdering a criminal in broad daylight... it simply didn't sit well with the authorities. They ended up looking powerless and not able to keep order. As such, the mission he had been assigned was to guarantee the safe transfer of a pretty high-profile criminal. He was aware he wouldn't be working alone, there was a team of the Eagle Agency also en route to the prison. And with that, he took the mug with his hand right and started to drink the hot, dark liquid.

As soon as he finished it, he made his way to his bedroom. Opening his closet, he took out a pair of pretty sharp push daggers, from a particular drawer, fastening them on his waist. From the same drawer, he grabbed four speed loaders, taking them with him back to the dinner table. There, he filled each one with rounds, totalizing twenty-four rounds. His chest holster had special fastener for those, which he used to store all the speed loaders. Looking on top of the table, he found his electronic aide, in the form of legless googles. He placed them on his eyes, adjusting them to fit perfectly. He made his way back to the bedroom, closing the drawer and close doors, looking at himself on the mirror. Krauss fixed his tie so that it would be correctly aligned and not wrinkled. On the top of his bed, his blazer was lying on it. Grabbing it, he put it on, closing only the middle button. With that, he still would have easy access to his revolver and also his push daggers, if he so needed it. He checked the back pocket of his pants, taking out his walled from it. He flipped open and saw his hero licence inside a plastic holder. Blonde hero looked at it and his memories came running back to his. Nine years ago, he would be getting his hero licence. Those nine years weren't easy. He felt like every single day, he had to climb a hill. And now, on top of that mighty hill, there is where it led him to: being invited to work for one of the most prestigious hero agencies in Tokyo. Closing his wallet and putting it back again in his back pocket, he made his way to the exit of the flat. And now he had to prove that he was more than capable of playing with the 'big boys'. He looked at the keyholder he had just beside the door. He grabbed both his flat keys and his car keys.

The Specialist made his way out of the flat, locking it up before leaving. Some of his neighbours tried to greet him, but he paid no attention to them. In fact, for him, they were a nuisance. Taking an elevator to the underground, he ended up in the car park. He approached his vehicle: it was a black corolla. With the keys of it, Krauss disabled the alarm and opened the door, taking the driver's seat. Closing the door, he turned on the car, but before starting to move, he turned on the usb player. The sound system of his car started to play the Hungarian Dance number 5 by Johannes Brahms. And, with that, the man started driving his car, towards the maximum security prison. During the drive, his mind was clear, paying only attention on the road. He didn't rush, didn't go over the speed limit. He simply drove. After a good 45 minutes, he arrived at his destination. Approaching the building, there was a checkpoint. Getting his wallet in hand, and already leaving his hero licence exposed, he opened his car window. When asked about his business in the facility, the flashed his walled, showing his licence - "I am here as an agent for Eagle's Agency. We will give support during Magma's transport today" - he said, directly, dry, being annoyed of wasting time with a small fry such as that guard. The checkpoint guard took a good look at his hero ID and, after radioing in and waiting for confirmation, let the hero enter the facility. Krauss parked his vehicle and got out of it. It seems the other agents weren't there yet. He didn't like the fact that he would have to return to that prison to collect his car after the mission, but it was a direct direction of Eagle himself, so there was no other way around it. The Specialist crossed his arms, leaning his back against the door of his car, and waited.

"THAT IS ENOUGH!"
Charlie couldn't help but stand up a bit straighter, stiffening her posture in response to Gao's booming voice. It echoed in the parking garage, ringing in her ears as if she had pissed off God himself. It was a quick reminder that the treatment of seniors was taken much more seriously here than back at home. She knew that, really, but.. It was easy to forget when the man who called her 'Gaywire' became high and mighty. The rookie hero kept her gaze fixated on the shorter man in front of her, letting him say his piece. Of course there was something worthy about her, it almost felt a little insulting that he had to remind himself and everyone around her that she and her coworkers aren't useless.

Pale hands were still stuffed into her jacket pockets, balled into tight fists in an attempt to control her frustration. Of course, she was thankful that Mr. Fist had brought Ichiro into the conversation, but she couldn't help but feel like he did it out of an obligation to be fair rather than going by his true feelings on the situation. Thoughts ran rampant until a familiar voice snapped her back to reality,

"Sincerely speaking, Ichiro is just as much at fault." Wow, someone who actually said it.. "One does not provoke a dog and expect it not to bark."

A dog? Seriously?

If it weren't for the fact that it was as clear as day that Tatsuo was simply trying to help, Charlie would definitely have something to say about that comparison. But she didn't. Instead, she directed her gaze towards the Shrine Maiden as she told her own terrible story about Ichiro.

Pissing.. In a shrine.. And he wants to talk to me about respect? It's all Charlie could think. She knew it was supposed to be a lighthearted joke to keep things friendly, but Charlie's own annoyance coupled with the stiff laughter from Tatsuo only led to the rookie hero replying,

"That sounds.. really awful, Tatsuo. I'm sorry that happened." Her voice was genuine, even if there was a pinch of anger still evident in her tone, none of it was directed towards her. If anything, she was thankful that the woman stood up to be a mediator in all of this.

Black hair lifted slightly as she turned her head to find Katayama behind the group, leaning against the wall. "Wow. Treasure Map. Pissing on a shrine. Gotta say, that's real heroic of you."

Yeah, you could say that again..

She didn't bother to see how Ichiro would try and save himself from such a harrowing blow, and instead redirected her focus to Mr. Fist, who eventually disclosed that he would have to part ways. Charlie watched as the Pro Hero disappeared, already sensing Ichiro's frustration as he made his way to the car.

She knew that she should follow suit, but God.. she really did not want to. This didn't stop her, however, reluctantly opening the back door and hopping in. Were they really expected to pile in here like some weird family road trip?

“(...)So with Karate Kid being the heaviest, followed closely by the two newbies, I can probably juggle those three while the old man takes the shrine hippie. Though in that case(...)”
Nakano’s boredom had yet again gotten the best of her, for at that very moment the tiger girl was lost in thought, concocting a plan that involved carrying all of her mission-mates out of the meeting room and stuffing them into the car. This is how impatient she was. Yeah, there would most definitely be kicking, screaming, cursing and maybe some quirk action, but if they felt the need to take this long with planning out such a straightforward mission then they were in need of a proper wake up call. She was gonna DEFINITELY be Eagle’s replacement once he chose to retire after all, thus she needed to start learning how to lay down her very own flawed law to such an impertinent bunch. Though sadly said thrilling show of strength and superiority was cut short with the arrival of the slow crew. From the very visible hostile demeanor that they flaunted it was clear that things had gone awry during their planning talks. “God, if they wanna be at each other’s throats so much then they might as well let their fists do the talking, these people are even bigger pansies than I thought.” It’s a shame though, ‘cause in the end a bunch of worthless verbal fights were about to be the least of her concerns:

“I am sorry, Taiga-chan, but it seems I won’t be able to keep up my promise”

“Tch, whatever.”
Nakano had never been good when it came to dealing with departures, hell it was pretty much impossible to tell whether she cared or not. Her attitude remained as dismissive and brutally honest as usual. She needed to keep up this cold front, because had she followed her honest thoughts she would’ve probably tackled Gao right there and then, begging for him to stay. She would’ve gladly bawled her eyes out if it meant increasing the chances of the old man staying. Gao was pretty much the only of her agency mates that Nakano viewed as a friend, someone with whom she could properly have a sit down with and talk their hearts out with either their words or fists. As she watched him walk away Nakano had to bite down on her tongue to ensure her vulnerability didn’t announce itself to those around her, the last thing she needed at that point was to seem weak. “Don’t leave you old piece of shit, I thought we were a team.” Were the words she wanted to shout out at that moment.

“Have fun.”

“About time you did something useful.”
Responded Nakano as she was handed over the keys to the car. Hah, it looked like Ichiro had finally understood his position beneath the tiger girl’s absolute might. Good, her authority was owed some fitting acknowledgement. With a single exhalation and a swift smacking of her own cheeks Nakano had successfully set aside Gao’s departure for the time being, her attention now refocusing on the task at hand. Without any more time to waste Nakano got inside the car’s driving seat, though unbeknownst to her she was about to face off against a newfound nemesis:

Manual driving. Once seated Nakano found herself staring with absolute perplexion at the random-ass numbered stick that stood between herself and Ichiro. The tiger girl shot a glance at her senior with an expression that screamed “what the fuck is this!?”. Though this being Ichiro Nakano would rather cut off her own tongue before ever asking him for help with something so menial. In a situation like this there was only one thing Nakano knew she had to do: Just wing it. The first thing that caught her attention was the “R” located among the various numbers. Surely this was a way to get the car rolling, right? What else could the R stand for. In a very awkward manner that consisted of the tiger girl erratically bouncing between all the gears Nakano was finally able to switch the car into “rolling mode”. Now, time to test it out, with a brief slamming of the accelerator the car was very suddenly jerked backwards, an experience that was surely enjoyable for those inside the vehicle, before Nakano hit the brakes in a similarly abrupt manner. “Just testing something out, shut up.” Reverse. The “R” stood for reverse. Well then, by process of elimination this surely meant that the numbers were made to advance the car forward. Easy-peasy, if that were the case then putting it at “stick position 1” meant that they’d go forward in a slow manner, right? After yet another miserably executed gear change her hypothesis was proven right, the car was now moving forward. Slowly. Without her touching the accelerator. Why. Nakano slammed down the brakes yet again, now jerking the passengers of the car forward. She continuously held the pedal down, afraid of the nonconsensual forward motion the car would head in if she let go of the brakes. “GET IN THE FUCKING CAR ALREADY!” Nakano yelled out the window to the remaining duo that had yet to get in the car. What the fuck is a neutral gear.

~Much needed Fresh Air~
Time seemed to drag on as Jin continued his arduous task of paperwork, the first pile of documentation that he had tackled finally nearing its completion. Thank god. For the most part, the reports were up to the standards expected of a professional, yet there was always the odd few special ones who had to push the boundary of what was acceptable in the workplace . A task that was painful enough was made even harder by the painful process of having to proof read certain individuals poor attempt at spelling, worse yet some of the documents had questionable stains dotted around the paperwork that made Jin question whether or not it was a child that was actually writing up these documents or an adult.

Jin glanced towards the meeting room, only to notice that it was now vacant of its previous occupants. Despite his sense of hearing, Jin had not noticed there departure and thus could not chastise the guilty parties for making his life harder. Jin sighed and leaned back in his chair, his face raised skyward as he stared at the ceiling, his right hand raising to the bridge of his nose as he began to pinch it, the impending migraine threatening to sour his mood for the day.

Deciding that this was as good a time as any, Jin knowing full well that he'd struggle to survive more paperwork without a break had begun to rise from his seat; hands reaching for the 'completed' stack of documents which he'd proceed to drop off at Eagle's office before getting fresh air. As a point of mercy for their feathered leader, Jin had made a separate pile for the documents that were 'problematic', putting a yellow sticky note with the words 'PREPARE YOURSELF' written across it.

Documents dropped, Jin headed towards the stairwell of the agency, beginning to make his way towards the rooftop for some much needed fresh air.

After Tsukuyomi apologized, she let out a soft sigh and spoke "It's fine... I'd prefer if you don't assume those types of things..." she reached for the drink and took a small sip before placing it back down. "Aside from that...He may have tried to kill me...But he missed a non-moving target. Which makes it suspicious to me..." leaning back in her chair, she continued to stare at the mugshot of the man. If he really was a hitman, then how the hell did he miss such a simple shot? After all, she was fully exposed anywhere on her body to fatally wounded. "If we warn those who are on babysitting duty, then we would be only adding more on their plate right now... Granted they should know, but they're already on alert with having to escort the Villain. They'll be fine..." she had faith in the team, even with the newest agents being put out on the field. There was no doubt in her mind, Especially with Ichiro there. Sure he was a Drunk but he knew what he had to do when the time came for it.

Flexing her fingers a little bit, she rose from her desk and moved toward the window, looking at the city before the Agency "It might have been a warning..." she murmured as she cupped in her chin in thought "I'd question the man myself but we cant do that on a day like this. Right now we're just on standby..." putting her hand down, she placed the other on her hip, but not giving Tsukuyomi any chance to read her face. In fact, all he had was the sight of seeing her back. "I'll leave this be for now... Right now there's not enough evidence for us to go off of..." maybe it was time to start up a web...Though not at her office. Maybe at home. Actually, yeah, she'll buy a board, put it together and start putting evidence together. Moving back to her computer, she logged out of the special program and put her computer into the sleep mode for a bit. Due to her being on top of work, there was nothing for her to really do...Unless she stole some work from other people. Doing that though would probably resort to Eagle telling her not to do other's work (even if she did have the time to do it) "Also you shouldn't be drinking on the job...Even if Ichiro does it..." despite her taking a sip, it wasn't enough to make any differences.

The whole shrine fiasco was one of the few things that made Tatsuo boil over—worse that he was drunk, considering how alcohol was prohibited on Shinto grounds. But that was all she had to say about that; the shrine-maiden had an inkling of a feeling that she tipped the scales out of a moment's worth of emotion, judging by the tense glare on Ichiro.

However, they were interrupted by some unfortunate news delivered by Mr. Fist, concerning an abrupt departure. As he spoke, Tatsuo remained firm in her composure with a warm smile, no matter what she truly felt. "You be well, Gao. Take care of yourself." If she'd known he'd leave, she would have followed him to the bakery yesterday for the cinnamon rolls.

While Katayama threw in his own piece at the drunkard, Tatsuo drew her attention to Haywire, who showed a rather unexpected side of integrity. "Oh... Thank you, Charlie," she said, unsure if she hid the surprise on her face well enough. Either way, her countenance morphed into one of endearing softness. As Ichiro spoke his piece at the other fiery rookie, the Miko leaned to the tech-based recruit in a hushed tone. "But, despite all the trouble, Ichiro is still a hero; not just in title, but in his qualities. He's since learned from his mistake—better than many others in that regard. Once you know him as long as I have, you may recognize how righteous of a person he is."

She leaned away just in time to see said hero hand the keys over Nakano. Tatsuo immediately rose from her seat, waving her arms innocently at Ichiro. "I didn't mean any ill will by it! I was simply sharing a story with our recruit." But she was far, far too late. As the car jerked back and forth, and Nakano's infuriated expression and impatient yell made itself very much clear, Tatsuo gave a look of pity to the rookies. "I hope you two had a light breakfast."

Hesitantly, she hopped in the vehicle.

“‘Interesting thought coming from a vigilante?’ Oh no! How’d you find out?!” When did his senior come to that conclusion? Masaru let out an insincere gasp, “Has news of my harmless heroic acts back home reach farther out than I thought?” And so what? Was it that bad of a thing if he was doing hero work albeit unofficial?

He personally didn’t see anything bad in that, especially when the criminal acts he snuffed out were out in the sticks where regular pro-heroes could take too long. If he was the only one out there to help, of course he wouldn’t even think about hesitating. To him that was cowardice and absolutely undermined his whole reason for being a hero in the first place, so up until recently he was all ‘screw the idea of getting a license.’

Credentials or not, he was not going to ignore the cries of the assaulted.

“I didn’t know you were stalking me way before I even came to this agency,” the flame hero joked but as soon as the words left his mouth, he slightly regretted it as it looked like Ichiro was not in the mood for banter, even if the intention was playful. To think both of their moods switched so quickly, Tatsuo’s story had a lot to do with it, as well as Gao’s reassurance. Without a doubt, those two things helped take his mind from the whole fiasco from earlier.

Speaking of the old man, Gao informed the rest of the group just as it looked like they were about to take the next step towards their mission that there was a serious need for him elsewhere; a brief explanation and the geezer was gone just like that.

Masaru wished he could’ve said something instead of only returning a nod but despite missing the opportunity to say it to Gao himself, he hoped that things would all turn out for the best and that they could meet again one day.

His eyes lingered at the door Mr. Ling left from, but his attention was quickly returned to their current situation when Nakano screamed to get in the vehicle. Oh right. She’s driving. He groaned quietly, wondering if she would outperform Ichiro in reckless driving.

“I hope you two had a light breakfast."

“I did. I won’t vomit, I’ll have you know that I have quite the strong stomach!” He pointed a finger up, assuring everyone around him, in case, they had any assumptions that he was the opposite. Hopefully Charlie was the same, he didn't bring any extra clothes with him.

But if I do, at least it’d just be bread. He smiled at the thought of him puking, he admitted to himself that he was easy to shake up sometimes, that was clear when Ichiro got all up in his face and questioned his competency. But vomiting? He couldn't even remember the last time that he did.

With that, he got into the agency vehicle, it was definitely going to be a rocky ride, if Nakano was any indicator of what the journey to their destination would be like.

Tsukuyomi Hachiman
Day 4 of NNN
He may have tried to kill me...But he missed a non-moving target. Which makes it suspicious to me..." He knew that both of them were on the same track. As he saw her look at the mug shot of the man, Tsukuyomi was more interested in the weaponry of The suspect. SIG SSG 3000, not bad for a lowlife criminal. A new question sprung up in his head: how did he get a rifle like this? This rifle is mainly used in law enforcement. Was this guy an ex-cop or did he have the balls enough to steal from them? Seeing that he missed a shot on Kathy, but was accurate when killing the villain, definitely made Marionette question this “hitman‘s” experience. Kathy continues the conversation "If we warn those who are on babysitting duty, then we would be only adding more on their plate right now…” “ Yeah, you’re right…. I just question Boss Bird’s decisions. I’m not saying he cant lead. He just always surprises me, you know.” he says with a nervous chuckle followed by a cough. only a few people can, he thought. As Kathy continues to think out loud in order to make sense of what happened yesterday, Tsukuyomi slowly started to not listen and began to daydream about Grace.

He remembered a time when he walked in on her when she was dancing and singing along to music, not realizing he was there. When she finally spotted him, she nervously scrambles and tries to look busy. Why do I always fall for the goofballs? As he comes back to reality the only thing he sees in front of him was Kathy’s back. He noticed that she is still on the same subject. "I'll leave this be for now... Right now there's not enough evidence for us to go off of..." “Hey we always can come back to this another time, it’s not like it happened yesterday or something. “ he says jokingly trying to lighten up the mood. Seeing he didn’t get a reaction from her, he knew she was deep in thought. Tsukuyomi started to close all the files he had upon his tablet and began to search to see if he had any new paperwork to do. It was useless to talk to her when she was thinking; It would also have been rude to snapped her out of it. Taking the last sip of his spiked coffee, he hears Kathy tease him a bit about his drinking, "Also you shouldn't be drinking on the job...Even if Ichiro does it..." He laughs in points to her drink that she’s been sipping on. "You got a point, how about you remind me next time to make some non-alcoholic ones. Deal?" He asks with a smile

Somewhere in a bank Downtown Tokyo...

"Hello, how can I be of service today?" The Teller greeted the lady with a bright smile, getting ready to finish out his shift before his lunch break. "Hello, I would like to make a withdrawal..." Before the lady could finish her sentence, masked men burst into the bank, guns in hand. The Teller hit the panic button under the desk before he was approached by one of the mask men, "Let's go pretty boy, we are not here to play games." The armed gunman dragged the Teller from behind his desk and threw him onto the ground. "Stay there or I'll blow your brains out." In the background, a burst of gun fire rang out into the lobby of the bank, the blond haired woman turned her head to see a dead security guard with a large pool of blood collecting around his body. "If you move, you die!" The voice booming from one of the armed robbers.

"Start working on getting the vault open, I'll deal with the hostages." A few gunman broke off into the interior of the bank with large duffle bags. The contents of the bag included a hydraulic drill to get into the safe with the short amount of time they had before the authorities arrived. "Hey Akira, set the deadman's switch, I don't want any funny business from these heroes." His compatriot, Akira, had explosives rigged on his chest. If his finger left the denotators switch, the whole lobby would become a bloody mess. The man giving the orders lit a cigarette and let out a swath of smoke from his mask. "You know you'll never get away with it, right?" The masked man turned in the direction of who spoke, his eyes landing on the blonde lady.

Though you couldn't see it, a smile crept on the gunman's face as he slowly approached. "Who said I was planning to get away with it?" The figure knelt closer to the lady to get a better look at her face. "It's not fun if you know you are going to win, what's the point in playing the game?" He stood back up and raised his handgun in the direction of the lady. One shot rang out from the gun, the woman laying lifeless on the ground. "Does anybody else have anything they want to add?" He said, scanning the room with his firearm. All the hostages sat there with a frightened look on their faces. "What a beautiful day today."

The company vehicle came to a halt, jerking a few times before finally being still. Ichiro opened the door and unsteadily landed on the ground, finally regaining his balance. "You are a fucking lunatic Nakano, I almost regret giving you the keys." Ichiro's head spun a bit after the whole drive. While he intended to make the drive hell for everybody, he didn't think Nakano was that awful of a driver. Once he finally felt normal, he walked in the direction of the prison's entrance, eyeing a blond man who stood out front. Another addition to our team? That's the last thing I want.

As he walked past the blonde man, he didn't have many words to offer him. "Tch.. another foreigner. What could go wrong?" Ichiro slipped his hands into his pockets and approached the police sergeant who was standing outside the entrance. "Nice seeing you Karate King." Ichiro's face remained the same but his attitude shifted, "No need for formalities Nobutoshi, just call me Ichiro." Ichiro had a good relationship with some policemen on the force like many heroes did. They were partners in keeping the peace on the streets. "Where is Magma?" Ichiro asked the policeman, glancing over at the front door of the prison as it opened. "There he is." That was Magma alright, he wasn't exactly the prettiest villain, looking like he had an accident involving his face and a door.

Once Magma came closer, he had the sudden urge to start pummeling him but he resisted it. He killed a few heroes and a few policemen, some that he considered friends. Magma's death would bring nothing but relief to Ichiro but he realized he had a job to do and you couldn't let your emotions get into the way. "Let's get him into the truck." Ichiro helped escort the villain to the truck but before they could make it, Ichiro caught sight of an object in the corner of his eye. In a split-second decision, Ichiro pushed Magma away from the object, the object narrowly missing him. The object grazed Ichiro though, cutting into his face to create a gentle stream of blood. The object was an arrow and another one was already on the way but he couldn't move Nobutoshi in time. Nobutoshi was struck by an arrow and Ichiro quickly grabbed him to the safety of cover behind the truck."Keep your hand on it, just sit tight." Ichiro had no idea where the arrow had come from and he didn't want to risk peeking around the corner, especially with Magma and Nobutoshi under his care.

The rest of the officers that were scattered around the vehicles were slowly being picked off until they too found cover of their own."This isn't good, we're just sitting ducks.." Ichiro was cut off by a loud rumble that ended as quickly as it started. Taking the risk, Ichiro quickly peered out and his eyes widened at the sight. A man covered in what seemed to be jagged gems was slowly approaching and his quirk seemed like an issue. A few officers opened fire, the bullets bouncing off the attacker. He quickly returned to cover and mumbled to himself,"We are royally fucked." As far as he knew, there were two attackers and one of their locations was unclear. He turned on his ear piece,"Someone needs to locate the archer if we are going to take down Mr. 50 cent over there, we can't fight in the open with the archer bombarding us."
