Nightwing was generally nonplussed by most things in life nowadays. After the loss of his best friend, the young Bat had retreated into himself. The Team had been disbanded, once the kids had grown, join the League instead. Nightwing had been personally devastated, and by default, retreated even further into himself. Of course, no one knew this. For his friends, his family, he played the facade. He acted like he was okay, smiled, pretended. That's what being a hero was. Pretending.

But not today. Nightwing stood in awe at the room in front of him. It looked exactly like the Mission Room in Mount Justice. Lofty stone ceiling, hologram screen, training floor - the Bat was thoroughly plussed - no, whelmed - at the moment. If this is how identical the Mission Room looked, how did the living room appear? the kitchen? the med bay? Was there a mechanic's bay? He stood in wonder, almost forgetting his duty.

But his memory's flooded back - and so did his purpose.

Today was the day.

The day the Team was revitalized.

Police vehicles rushed, alarms blurring, though rarely headed in the same direction. The increase in petty crime was obvious, though two super powered heros were kind of overkill for the likes of shop thieves and pick-pockets. Then again, Sarah's own distrust in herself would drive her to imagine calling herself a super powered hero to be slight overstatement. Yet even she couldn't imagine what Tora could teach her here, there was barely room to practice her so called 'abilities'.
Slightly sighing at the thought of it, Chill sank her head a bit. The sun shone down upon the rooftop, yet she still shivered in her thick costume, mask strapped over her eyes, hair bundled tightly behind her tight-fitting blue hood. It was almost comedic seeing her by the side of the comparatively under-dressed Ice.

Suddenly the sound of struggle could be heard from a nearby alleyway. Chill looked to Ice to see if she had noticed it, whom nodded in response, making way to leap down. Ms Chill could only watch in awe as Ice glided down on a trail of frost, before awkwardly attempting to follow her, slightly stumbling on the thin path. As they got to ground level, a group of thugs surrounded a shopkeeper, demanding protection money, the man had clearly already taken a hit. Their response to Ice's intrusion wasn't positive. Perhaps they were ignorant, or simply that desperate in these times. Usually scum like these were fearful of a costumed vigilante, though Ice wasn't exactly native to this area. Regardless, as they attacked, they stood no chance. Ice didn't even need to use the power she was named for, instead using her advanced unarmed combat skill to easily knock the lesson into them.
As a few more seemingly erupted from the shadows, Chill thought it a good opportunity to further place the situation in Ice's favour. Freezing the floor beneath them, the assailants easily lost their footing, making the fight even simpler for the experienced league'r. Chill, in the meantime, noticed one of them slipping toward her, and stuck her fist out toward his temple, the momentum of the unbalanced aggressor doing the rest.

As they began to flee, Ms Chill could only pout at the sight. She wasn't exactly helping Ice here, and she couldn't come with her on League missions. Quite honestly, she wasn't sure if she would want to. Not just because that would mean spending more time with Fire, whom while being a nice woman, her powers would always make Sarah uneasy. But mainly because she still did not have faith in her own abilities, let alone the ability to work with a team. Then again. She supposed that's why Tora recommended her to the Young Justice division.
It was exciting, but at the same time made her nervous. Not everyone was as compassionate as her mentor, and who knew what most thought of her, considering the easy connection between herself and Zero, and what if her powers made her a victim for ridicule, she could only guess at the amount of times she'd had to air dry her room after the top of her bed had turned to a frigid block. But her greatest fear by far was the fear of herself. Using her powers around those who couldn't simply divert them... What if she makes a mistake at the worst possible time?
Regardless, this was the best option, she would have to improve. Chill's train of thought was cut off as a hand placed itself upon her shoulder. Gazing up, she could see Tora with a small smile on her face. "It's today, isn't it?" Chill asked in anticipation, Ice giving her a nod in response.

Standing before the zeta tube, Sarah looked up toward her mentor. "Thank you... For everything." A tear would have run down her cheek, but instead it created a small blot of ice in the corner of her eye. "It's not over yet, the team will teach you a lot, but I'll still do what I can to help you with your powers." Tora responded in a kindhearted tone, facing the girl and placing her hands on her shoulders. A small chuckle following. Despite the similarities in some of their abilities, it was clear that their powers didn't work in exactly the same way. Still, her guidance was far better than none.

"Welcome. B. Zero. Three."

Winter or spider eyes as many called her watched the two from a roof top near by as she watched them she frowned wishing to know what it was like to be cared for and loved like ice and chill did for each other, the aracknasapian soon climbed down the wall and left for the abandoned warehouse she had found to call home......for the time being, as she walked in the spiders that covered her disappeared into the darkness of her clothing as they sensed someone else was here with them
