Personality: Calm and regal around those he feels needs to be protected. Around his close friends and family however, he is a bit of a trickster. However, he has his serious side as well, mostly towards his own people. He is fiercely loyal to those he trusts and will do anything to protect those he cares about. His ultimate goal is to find a place for his people to live. Even though he can protect them in battle, he can't protect them from the natural changes of the land.
History: Yin is part of a race known as the Yisal. Long lithe beings who lived for the hunt in their early days. Over the years, they have become more sophisticated. The planet they lived on was slowly changed into one with cities. The Yisal possess long whiskers that can be moved as their limbs, using these, they built their homes and lands up. Unfortunately, there was a sickness in the land, like poison that filled every inch of the planet. It affected the world slowly but it was guaranteed that the planet would die out some time in the future. It was deemed that a Primal would be selected to travel to other worlds to find a suitable home.
Yin was chosen. Yin, growing up, had been from a poor family, yet they lived well. He often acted out and played tricks on his friends, even getting into fights. No one expected that he would be chosen as an Primal.
Choosing a Primal isn't simple on their home planet. The Yisal chosen to be a Primal isn't decided by vote or by tradition, or even family. The process of becoming a Primal is...to a certain degree..completely random. The leaders of the Yisal go into a period of meditation where they convene with the spirits of the Ancestors. The Ancestors are believed to be part of all energy that fills the universe and it is they who choose the Primal's main source of energy.
After convening with the Ancestors, this energy is released into the world, flooding all homes and doing no permanent damage. The day Yin was chosen, the energy was black as the night sky and completely drunk all light. When the energy receded, it receded towards the new Primal so everyone was able to follow it to Yin.
His body had been changed, the bright blue lines of the Yisal Primal adorned his fur and his eyes glowed with their light. He instinctively knew how to use his energy and stepped across a cloud of shadow into the sky, where he looked down on his home world. Instead of kneeling before the leaders, it was they who kneeled before him. He'd been chosen as the Primal of the Yisal. As such, he'd be their savior. It was his job to leave his home and find a new world to transport them to.
The Yisal lived in a small, quiet region of Darkreach. When Yin left his home, he came to realize that there was much, much more to his universe than he'd ever realized. Of course, all of the Yisal knew about the other worlds but no one truly knew about the size of the places they lived in. As a relatively new Primal, he had a lot to learn.
Energy: Darkness Manipulation He is limited to his own shadow as well as the shadow's he creates with his energy. He can transport himself through the shadows he creates.
