Xyren has taken over. It started out as just a drug. Relieve pain, enhance senses, overall 'make your life better'. People like medicines. We like to think it changes us, helps us become the things we want to be.. but some things.. some things can't be changed with a magic pill. We were too lazy and stubborn to realize it.
It was heavily advertised. Hundreds began to take it. Thousands. Millions. The drug seemed to work, at first. People felt lighter. Better. Faster. Healthier. It was only a few months in when we truly realized what was happening.
A woman was found dead in her own home, by the name of Jessica Peterson. They called it a heart attack. Nothing special. She didn't have much family, and she was a quiet woman, nearing her fifties. But one day after her body was taken to the morgue, it was gone. Video showed that no one had stolen it, but the body had.. walked out by itself.
People were dying all over. All people that took Xyren, found dead in their homes, and then alive the next, but they were.. different. Angry, beady red eyes, aggressive.. almost like zombies, except they weren't green, or slow, or stupid.
The world has been infested with these Xyren zombies, and a very few amount of people are left. Those who are must live in fear, and hide in the shadows, for if a Xyren zombie catches you, they will know that you aren't one of them. They will kill you. But if the people that are killed haven't taken Xyren... you don't come back.
We remaining few must find the creators of Xyren, who still remain unknown, and find a cure.
