Please don't call out names, this isn't attacking RPN- I'm just curious. Usually people here are great.

I witnessed someone doxxing another player over their refusal to play a character someone wanted. Yeah. They're not on RPN anymore, but that whole rp experience was trash from the time it started till the time it blew over.

Another player and I had a rather public falling out. I made them co-mod of an RP I was running and they went mad with power. Later down the line they mocked a friend of mine that had died, and sent another person in that RP elderly porn over Skype.

I have a few people on a permanent no RP list. There's that guy, a paedophile, a guy who faked being suicidal in order to get me to reply to his posts and a bunch of people who while didn't do that much wrong in comparison did sort of (unintentionally or otherwise) drive me away from RPs due to me having personal issues at the time and them being a bit toxic.

I was in a roleplay that was going well until the GM disappeared, and someone relatively new to the rp decided to take over, even though no one wanted them to. They added a species to the rp that was entirely OP, and didn't want anyone but themselves to use the species. Turned the rp upside down, basically making a sandbox rp into one with a shitty plot that revolved around how supreme their character was. A bunch of us left, including myself.

Once a few years back someone I knew back on another rp site then suggested I try to rp at this one site he went too. So I went to it and after trying to fill in a countless character sheet which took forever to do, the ONLY person that ever wanted to rp with me was the one that suggested that site in the first place. It was very strange and rather odd that he could of rped with me before I went to that site in the first place.

I only had one, and it started out great, then ended horribly.

I found someone who appeared perfectly compatible. We had a Discord with all the fancy channels, a Google Drive with highly organized character sheets and future plot points. We worldbuilt for like 3 weeks before we started. I was even writing a little fiction on the side when we weren't on at the same time. I got hit with some extra depression, and I slowed. I didn't stop, just slowed. He utterly freaked out that I wasn't starting my responses the moment I woke up and occasionally went out to do chores on weekends. Like, he let me set up a scene, then he sat waiting for the right moment to tell me how horrible I was. He deleted everything, including the docs I worked on. He even came on here and deleted his initial comments on my profile. Petty much?

Anyways, in hindsight, I realized I was getting burnt out from doing the vast majority of the NPCing to forward along his character's plot as well as my own. I think he wanted me to be an entire community around him. I got mostly over it after a few hours when I had some distance and realized how bad the situation had been to me. I'm now much more proactive in making sure that my new partners reciprocate the NPCing and character forwarding before getting into side fiction writing and fanart of our characters.
