The High Priest's Coven Pipsqueak Pipsqueak

The High Priest's Coven is a well-known witch's coven settled in New York, NY, and founded in 1742. Three witches (Ingrid Priest, Helena Lambert, and Byron Madelon) came together to create this hidden safe haven from non-magic people who, at the time, were hellbent on killing anyone suspected of being a witch. Ingrid, the main founder of the coven, is thought to be an ancestor of one from the Salem Witch Trials. She was the most powerful known witch, and some still worship her to this day. Since then their three-man leadership turned to twelve, now known simply as "The Council".

1. Lady Tellet- Leader of the High Priest's Coven
2. Margaret, Adam- The two council members right below Lady Tellet. They serve as her closest confidants and advisors.
3. Elaina Thiess, Gabriel, Monty, Haley- These four are the coven's initiators tasked with seeking out potential witches for the coven and holding the initiation process.
4. Max, Everest Thiess- The coven's "healers". Although any doctor may do, certain illnesses inflicted from curses may be best looked at by them.
5. Rory, Wendy, Lucas- They make up the bottom of The Council's "pyramid". They serve as a kind of enforcer in the council, making sure all rules are followed.

The aforementioned initiation process is one the coven holds once yearly on any given full moon. It was a tradition held since the beginning, and it's quite an important date. Full moons can often cause many witches ' abilities to appear for the first time (Most witches are found and brought in during this time). Of course, there are rare exceptions, but not enough to be considered. The process isn't difficult and doesn't take long, depending on the person. One is sought out by the coven's initiators (A rule put in place by Elaina Thiess since her joining) by looking for abnormal events that defy the seasons. In Everest's case, having moths surround her in the middle of a harsh winter. Some witches were known to bring animals out of hibernation, cause leaves from trees to turn color and fall in spring, and even create heat lightning on the coldest days. Each of these events are often surrounded by the specific witch's energy, and are then brought in for further questioning by The Council.

Lion/Tiger Clan Lore Shadow Alpha Shadow Alpha

Lion/Tiger Clan Lore: Both clans operate in a similar manner with a figurehead mainly speaking for and to the people of the clan. In previous generations, they were solitary and use to avoid any sort of interaction with humans and other shifters. The 'dogs' were always too gungho to work together to better all shifters, hence why they just called them dogs. No self-respecting shifter would actively want to blend into human society, luckily the old views are dying out and not as discriminatory towards the canines. As far as humans, they were seen as playthings and an easy meal when normal prey was scarce. Morally, both clans agree that eating humans is wrong only because it puts them at risk of being exposed. Each clan has their own Elder Council that advises the younger clan Alpha, no whether they choose to listen is an entirely different issue considering the horrible feline trait of putting one's own family above the rest. Loyalty runs deeper than most as they have experienced many losses from previous attempts at trusting outsiders. The current state of affairs is similar to that of a pyramid built upon the strength of the Alpha, they attempt to do what they believe is best and some take into account the opinion of the clan members. Each clan still has a long-running belief that their own is the ''superior'' feline so there's the equivalent of a football team rivalry that has gotten less intense over the years.

The Acheron’s Legion Jackson123 Jackson123

The Acheron’s Legion were originally the Ninth Legion of the Imperial Roman Army, otherwise known as “The Lost Legion”. The legion fought in various provinces of the late Roman Republic and early Roman Empire. It was stationed in Britain following the Roman invasion in 43 AD.

After the Ninth was destroyed in a war on Britain's northern frontier against the indigenous Celtic tribes, some elements of the legion were being transformed into undead by unknown Celtic ritual. Before their strength recovers, they originally called themselves the “Vexillatio Acheron”, the detachment that were ferried across the river Acheron and returned from the realm of the dead.

Just like a typical Roman legion of the ancient world, the legion had about 5,500 strengths. The legion was subdivided into ten units called cohorts. Nine of the cohorts had 480 soldiers. The cohorts were subdivided into six centuries, of about 80 men each. Each century was commanded by a centurion, the most experienced centurion would also serve as the commander of the cohort. A century is subdivided into ten contubernium of 8 men as the smallest organized unit in the legion, commanded by a decanus, elected from the contubernium themselves, they are usually also the most experienced soldier in the rank.

The first cohort was different. It had about 800 men, with five double-sized centuries. The centurion of the first cohort's first century was the Primus Pilus, or "first spear," and was the highest-ranking centurion in the legion. The first cohort is made out of the elite in the whole legion.

Being both highly-trained soldiers and superpower enhanced vampires, the Legion were a proficient, versatile, and dangerous fighting force. Today, the Legion only recruits vampires as full members, however there is also an underground network Frumentarii in secret who are typically humans.
