It was 35 years ago when they arrived. Alien machines from the stars. They ravaged the earth, turning our own technology against us, carving paths of destruction and carnage all across the world. In only one year they had crippled Energy grids, Knocked out communications, and Crushed the worlds militaries. Humanity fell on the back foot and was Scurried into caves and forests only arriving to launch opportunistic raids upon the Invading aliens. While our success rate was low, it was enough to cause the invaders to switch gears. Rather than giant monstrous army crushers, they needed smaller, more precise killers. They Unleashed The Mechromancy plague all over the world, and things fell into chaos. Animals were converted into deadly machines at the atomic level, humans too though for some reason we were more resistant. I suppose they never bothered to learn much about what it was they were exterminating,

Yet while they killed a good many of us, they also gave us the Silver bullet that would fell the beasts. Only about 30% of mankind could even get the Mechromancy plague, and of that 30% only around 1% would survive. From there only about .1% of those survivors would become something different. Over all Each person had about a 3 in a million chance to become one of these saviors of mankind. The Mechro-Druids or MD’s for short. Not only were they immune to the plague and could have a cure for it extracted from their blood. But they had a remarkable ability to Force the Mechanical Animals who were changed by the Plague into a telepathic battle of wills, which if they were victorious in would grant them domination over the Mechanical beast in question. Even though only a couple hundred of these MD’s existed they were able to give humanity a fighting chance, one mankind desperately needed. After ten years of being prey, mankind united behind the MD’s and launched a raid into the Aliens structure they had built over what was once The Himalayan mountains.

More than A hundred and Fifty million People marched on the alien fortress with thousands of Mecha Animals leading the charge, and tens of thousands of improvised war vehicles riding in a glorious final charge each and every person fully expecting to die. Miraculously it worked, it cost them two/thirds of their forces, Not one war vehicle survived, yet the MD’s had fared particularly well all things considered, only an eighth of their ranks fell, yet those who survived the ordeal were on the front lines for nearly the entire conflict, the horrors witnessed by them are widely regarded as some of the worst the war had to offer…that said, none truly came back from that war intact. Yet they did return victorious, the alien ships having pulled away from the planet and retreated into deep space.

Twenty five years have passed since the horrific war, and the earth has not, nor will she ever recover entirely from the invasion. All in all civilization as we knew it was broken irreparably. Just under Seven billion people had died and the Mechromancy plague was still spreading in Nature producing powerful mechanical creatures that destabilized the food chains all over. Most of china, india, the Philippines, and northern Australia took the most however. The crust was cut out and replaced with alien metal plates containing what look to be cities of machinery. The environment has grown harsh and rough, yet not all is screwed. The Mechro-Druids Were not done saving humanity it seemed, Each one of them who had children would find that 100% of their offspring cane out just like them. With those same second generation MD’s reaching adulthood, and the issues pressing upon humanity growing worse each passing day, the world seems to wait on baited breath to see what this new generation of saviors will do.

players will be taking the roles of MD’s. Basically a normal human who can telepathically bond with a mecha animal of your choice. Each animal has its own unique abilities that will contribute to the story in their own way, but over all this is low powered story, we are not Superheroes, just normal People who happened to be lucky enough to be born with weirdly situationally convenient psychic powers.

ALSO important note some creatures cannot be interfaced with because they are not from earth, likewise a human who has been converted into a Mechrodrone cannot be Interfaced with. If you need help finding an image let me know, i have a bunch of these mecha animal images on hand.

(The Twobricks Trading Co.)
Times are hard all over at the moment. This is true for both Normal humans & Mechro-Druids. Because of this work seems to very quickly dry up and Those with the luxary of a powerful Mechro-Beast protecting them can travel across the dangerous wilderness between settlements. You being one of these lucky few find yourself in the Large City of Nulsbard, Located in what is eastern Rural Germany. There a group of three people Calling themselves the Two bricks Trading Co have been requesting Escorts for a Dangerous and Long journey South to the Settlement of Marupti On the northernmost part of the Border of Egypt & Libya. Two caravans before them have already been lost and they are willing to pay enough for this mission that you could likely quit working for the rest of your life if you manage the money correctly. Better yet, if you are able to recover the supplies of the previous two shipments of supplies, and get them loaded up on the Elephant Huey, You can make another 50% per shipment found. Whatever your reason, that money is useful, but The time it would take for the trip deters most. The potential of Raiders, Alien Mechro-Beasts, Or Some other form of certain death being responsible for the missing convoys deters the others. But you? Your bold enough, Desperate enough, or just plain stupid enough to agree to this journey. Luckily you wont be alone.

(Here is our route. Boats are not an option as the Mediterranean is filled with Giant alien Mechro-Beasts, the likes of which entire navies Fear.)

You had me at “tortanks”. What’s next- penguigunners? Either way, if this takes off I’d definitely like to join up with the expedition! It’s definitely a fresh new world I’ve never seen before, and those are always pretty fun.
