Welcome to H.E.L.L!
  • Welcome one, welcome all to the newly built city of Morrah, the physical embodiment of human and devil friendship. The year is 2038, a mere fourteen years since the rapture, the once chaotic scenes of yesteryears are now a thing of the past. What should have been the extinction of man became a business opportunity for the devil, and now man and hell spawn live together in relative peace and tranquility. However, this would not have been possible were it not for Lucifer Morningstar, ruler of Hell and most handsome devil (literally) tireless efforts to make a world where everyone and thing were equal. With hardwork and dedication, the fallen angel made his mark on the world with the help of James Takahiro, a Japanese man who readily accepted the hand of the devil. It is thanks to them that Morrah exists and human and devil relationship have reached an all time high.

However, not everyone is happy with these arrangements. There are some who still find fault with the other side and refuse to coincide with the fellow neighbor, but not to worry, in an effort to fix these still broken bonds, Mr. Morningstar has started a brand new company called H.E.L.L, Here Everyone Lives Life. The company deals with a multitude of tasks, from marriage counseling to law enforcement, there is nothing that H.E.L.L doesn't do. What's more, the company is opening up here in this great city of Morrah to set an example to those all over the world that man and devil can work together in harmony. If you're unemployed or just looking for something to do, why not apply for a job there? There always accepting new applicants, and who knows, maybe you might be selected to join the H.E.L.L's crew. With that being said, welcome to Morrah and hope you all enjoy your stay here!

MORRAH

It was a beautiful morning. The sun shined brightly in clear blue skies, not a single cloud visible to obstruct its ray as it danced over newly built homes and buildings. In the suburbs on the outskirts of the city, children played outside with their friends as school had let out just a few days earlier, giving them about two weeks to enjoy their freedom before they were pulled back into their classrooms. Moving inward from the suburbs, one could begin to see a shift of scenery change from unnaturally green grasses and small houses to medium-sized buildings that eventually led to towering skyscrapers, the defining feature of the newly built city. Many businesses found Morrah to be a land of opportunity, a place that allowed them to grow and flourish amongst a rising population of 2.5 million citizens of humans and devils alike. Within the vast forest of towering glass and stone was a building that looked the same as any other except for the overall color of the steel that appeared to be a pitch black, but glowed a dark blue with intricate marking in the sunlight. There were four main entrances: The North, South, East, and West which were decorated with a sign that held both the logo and entrance's location. The logo seemed rather childish for a business, almost as if it were pandering to children interests and sensitivities, the text was rounded, much like a bubble, while the color was pink aside from the few specs of red that fell over some of the letters. The letter spelled out the acronym "H.E.L.L" along with it unique meaning right beneath it in slightly smaller text that read "Here Everyone Lives Life", beside it was a cutely drawn picture of a devil's head showing off a jagged grin and squinted eyes.

Entering from the North, you are greeted with plain white walls and marble floors , a line of doors on both sides with small metal plates that gave the department name and room number. The sound of men and women could be heard from outside the room and echoing throughout the walkway. Walking further down the hall, you reach a rather large opening with a few chairs lined up against the walls and a large circular desk that made its home at the center of the room. A woman dressed in standard business attire sat at the desk fumbling through paperwork, constantly lifting up her glasses, that had an extra pair of lens attached, as they slid down her face. Outside of a pair of horns that protruded from her head and a few extra eyes, she seemed rather normal. Behind her, there is an elevator and right in front of the elevator is a picture of a beautiful man donning blonde hair and blue eyes with lips curved slightly upwards in a half smile, a silver plaque with the name "Lucifer Morningstar" engraved sat beneath the frame. Upon further inspection, the picture exuded a rather eerie aura, the man in the picture looking as if he was watching you as you stared back at him. However, there is no time to waste, and so you continue to the elevator and wait for it to come pick you up in the lobby.

Once there, you notice a few markings at the elevator entrance, but don't have time to examine it as you hear that all to familiar ding. Entering, you see the marks flicker a dull red only for nothing to happen. Another fellow, a large hulking beast dressed in a black suit walks in behind you, wings protruding out from his back that stood a foot or two higher than the beast itself. The markings begin to glow once again, and suddenly the elevator seems bigger, more spacious than before. On the right were a set of buttons that lead to the different floors, some having number while others had weird symbols that you couldn't decipher. Clicking on the 14th floor, your devilish neighbor smacks one of the strange symbols and after a few seconds the door close and you are brought up to your floor, leaving behind the large devil as he continued his climb upward.

The 14th floor. There wasn't much difference from the first except for the fact that the halls didn't seem to have an end. Holding a sheet of paper, you make sure to remember the name and room number before continuing down an endless path. Around twenty minutes of walking you come upon a door to your right that reads "H.E.L.L Customer Service Department Room Number 1454", grabbing the handle you pull open the surprisingly heavy glass door and enter to see a small hall that led to a shared office. In the biggest room stood a line of cubicles of varying sizes that were placed rather strategically in the middle of the room. Some cubicles were decorated with pictures of employee's family and friends, other had weird writing on them, while the rest were untouched or halfway finished. However, despite their aesthetic differences, they were all equipped with large black phones and a computer. Behind the cubicles were a set of large windows that allowed for light to enter the otherwise, drabby room, revealing an astonishing view of the city. To the left, there is a smaller room with a single table surrounded by black wheeled chairs which you assume is for office meetings. A couple of feet away from the meeting room was the break room. Inside was a sink, fridge, a microwave, a small television, and a long table much like the one in the meeting room although it felt less "important" for having been placed in the break room. Soon you find yourself staring at a tall feminine figure who seemed busy setting up the table for breakfast, her face shaped like that of a dog whose maw extended about a foot outward, blonde hair falling slightly below her knees. She wore a small veil that kept the upper half of her head covered only leaving you to look at her dangerously sharp teeth that protruded involuntarily from the sides of her mouth. Other than her large hands and feet, her body seemed mostly human, her dark blue suit revealing no other abnormalities. The devil continued to place donuts and other breakfast items down on the table before acknowledging your presents.

"Why hello there! I'm sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring you. I wasn't prepared to see a new face in here so early in the morning!" she exclaimed as she placed breakfast sandwiches out on the table along with a strange box labeled "for devils only".

"Now that this is set up, allow me to introduce myself. I am Camille Albury, and I am work as the co-head of this department. It's nice to finally meet you!" she spoke.

"Not all of our other co-workers are here so let me be the first to officially welcome you to H.E.L.L customer service department!" she congratulated. With that, you officially begin you first day working in H.E.L.L.

(Feel free to start coming to the office. The day hasn't started yet, so go ahead and greet each other. I will post once everyone gets settled in. Also, this perspective is from that of a new recruit, so older members can come in as they usually do. Make sure you get some freaking breakfast sandwiches!)

Tobias Mortensen
Room 1454, Break Room | Interacting with Camille @BumBear

(At home)

The sound of the occasional car driving along the road and with his trusty dog, Lucy, lapping up fresh water from her bowl, Tobias knew that he should be leaving within half an hour. Lucy always managed to wake at precisely 9 as though she had her own alarm clock, before going and waking him up to receive her morning meal, using her wet nose to shove Tobias up and out of bed. It was the same each morning, but Tobias enjoyed seeing the pooch's face first thing instead of the blaring alarm on his phone when he was back in Texas, yelling that it was time to get up. Of course, it would be nicer if he could be as enthusiastic as Lucy straight out of bed, but that only ever came after coffee.

A light breakfast and wash later, he was at the door. Sitting by him was Lucy with her tongue lolling out, tail rhythmically thumping against the floor.

"Come on, you know it's rude to stick your tongue out," Tobias jested as he picked up the red leash hanging from the coat rack, metal jingling. Jumping up at the sound, Lucy circled around his legs, eyes eagerly watching the leash. Click, and she was ready for her walk.

The brown door swung open to reveal the bright morning covering the suburb housing in the spring sunshine. Instead of appreciating the nature around him, however, Tobias squinted and looked down at a squat devil standing at his doorstep. Upon their head were three deer antlers, artistically woven together with colourful thread and dangling jewellery. Upon seeing him, the devil clacked their hooves up to Tobias and gave a curt wave to Lucy, whose golden fur shone in the light.

"Greetings, Lucy. And Tobias, too." said their nasal voice. Their lips curled up into a smile, blue canine teeth poking down.

Tobias passed the leash to them. "Hello to you too, Nort," he replied back before handing them a copy of the house keys into the fuzzy palm of their hand. "We'll have to chat later, I'm running late for work." Tobias checked his wristwatch, seeing that it was nearly 9:40. Nort nodded before trotting away, with Lucy by their side.

------
(At work)

The elevator opened with a ping onto floor 14. Tobias made his way down the familiar corridor, counting the rooms on his left as his cane hopped along the floor. He greeted the old co-workers with a smile, not caring if they responded back or not. Once he finally reached room 1454, he pulled open the door, using his cane as a lever to aid him opening it all the way.

Travelling past the cubicles, casting a glance at the inside of each one, Tobias entered the break room. Being one of the few people in the room, he quickly saw Camille setting up the table for the daily company-covered breakfast.

"Good morning Camille," he gave a loose wave. He walked over to the table laden with food and sat down, resting his cane against the table, the iron handle keeping it steady. "Do we have any newcomers today? You seem rather happy today." Tobias selected one of the breakfast sandwiches, a simple ham and cheese, and a pink doughnut to satisfy his sweet tooth.

Ryker
The day started out like any other, Ryker was up around 2 am, rolling out of bed faster then he had gotten into it. His padded feet stepped along the ground as he made his way over to his bathroom in the darkness of the tiny place he lived. It was far from the cozy dens he used to live in with his many brothers, but it wasn't terrible either. As Ryker walked into the still dark bathroom, Ryker looked into the dark mirror, his eyes glowing slightly in his reflection. He let out a low sigh as many thoughts ran through his mind. He had had trouble getting used to day to day life away from the underground lair of his mother and siblings, and even now, he could never get on a "sleep schedule". No matter what he did, he'd wake up by three or four at the latest, and by the end of work, he'd be a tired, grumpy mess because of it. He honestly missed the cozy flocks of demons who'd slept in small hoards in the darkness of the lair. There was no need for beds, or apartments, like his own.

He ran his claws through his mane, gently pulling out a small coin, laying snuggled up to it, the tiniest red dragon, snoring away while holding tightly to the single coin. This made Ryker chuckle softly as he put the dragon onto the counter and stepped into the shower, turning the water up as hot as it could go. If there was one thing he was really happy with, hot water. He breathed deeply, letting his head sit against the shower wall as the hot water ran through his thick mane and down his back. He stood there for at least thirty minutes before quickly cleaning up and shutting off the water, by then the bathroom had been filled to the brim with hot steam.

He took the next hour or so to dry off completely and to read through some of the old ritual books he owned, memories laid out on each page like a photo album. It wasn't too long after that he combed through his mane of hair and got ready for work. Ryker made sure his fur was neat before walking back into the bathroom, grabbing the tiny dragon, letting him crawl backing to Ryker's mane with his single coin before heading out the door.

He walked along the sidewalks of the city for some time before heading to his work building, the sun just coming up as he entered the building. He paused and winced a bit as his eyes adjusted to the building's lights before going up the elevator to floor 14. Getting to the office was a walk, but it wasn't like he didn't have time, he was always super early since he woke up so early in the day. Going inside he made himself at home in his cubical. His cubical was the furthest away from the windows, and Ryker liked it that way, he hated the sun and the blindness it caused him, he could barely deal with the lights that hung above his head on a day to day basis. It wasn't long after he had arrived that Ryker had gotten to work straightening out his files and filling out extra paperwork. His liked his area to be neat and tidy, along with extremely organized. By the time he was done, he could begin to hear others enter the office and with it, he slowly stood from his chair and made his way to the break room.

He gave a kind smile to Camille as he walked to the table. "Good morning Camille." He gave a slight nod to the devil as he grabbed a treat from the "for devil's only" box before noticing Tobias there as well. Ryker's smile quickly faded and he gave a half-nod toward him, just showing that he acknowledged the human's existence in the room.
