The small wolf’s tail got faster. The female was trying to say her name, though she was having trouble. Mia’s chest stilled puffed up in pride as Awar began to learn. When she became frustrated the wolf responded by getting up and rubbing against the female. The small one wanted to calm the other.

The female simple sat bitting at her hand again in anger, seemingly in a self soothing method, the salve not even deterring her, and it begged the question how much of the damage exactly was the female herself appose to the rocks. However as the other rubbed against her she paused, nuzzling back into the wolf's fur and grasping the tufts tightly between her human fingers, her heavy breathing felt against the warmth of the pelt, tail wrapping around timidly, she really was just like a small child.

Dakala hummed softly, looking down at the young pup with a chuckle. "Of course, dear. I'll read you a story and sing you a song from my native country." She mused before glancing over at the timid omega, furrowing her brow when he bowed his head and bared his neck to show her; maybe that was something they'd done in his old pack. Noticing he seemed a bit embarrassed with his head lowering down before he sat sown, she smiled warmly.

"Oh, Den Mother?" She asked, gazing at the young teen. "I'm more of a guard, a warrior but I do tend to look after the pups when their parents can't." The female explained and looked down at the amount of food on Adam's plate; he was a growing teen, he needed more food.

"Adam, please eat more. You don't need to spare us leftovers; you need the nourishment to grow, love." Carefully, she pushed the bowl to Kage who looked between the two. The brute carefully tilted the bowl of spaghetti for Adam with an affection, charming smile. "You can have more, it's okay." He encouraged the younger teen.

Adam was not sure if he had said the right thing or not but Den Mother didn’t seem to mind as he sat down and answered alpha’s daughter. The woman corrected his incorrect assumption of her, saying she was a warrior...a guard which caughtvhis interest, given that was what he had been before being demoted and eventually kicked out of his pack. Den another who was not Den Mother did she say she watched pups when their parents could not do so. The younger teen looked at the woman who slid the bowl over to Kage and said he needed to eat more. Kage ended up tilting the bowl towards his plate, also insisting it was okay to eat more than what he had on his plate. “High one....alpha...fa....ummm beta and u...gamma eat before leaving?”

Adam looked uncertainly at the pup, as if it would tell it’s parents that the pair of omegas had eaten before other wolves could do so. Biting his lip, Adam shifted in the chair, nervousness visible. Pups sometimes did that to the new omegas....then Den Mother got in trouble and low ones got in trouble. Both seemed to want hi to ear though he didn’t understand too much why. But they had all been taught obedience in his pack and he worried if he didn’t eat, he would get in more trouble. It was a quandanum for Adam.

He finally nodded and grabbed the spoon in the bowl before putting more on his plate and then returning the spoon to the bowl. “You are guard?” questioned Adam.

Dakala chuckled softly and nodded. "Yes, I'm a guard. And I am sure they did," the female nodded towards Adam with a smile. Looking down towards Dani, she sighed softly and reached over to get the pup some more food. "Of course, hon. They'll be back soon enough, they went out on a very important mission," Dakala told her, trying to make the evening a bit more fun. "They are going to go save a Princess from a really big tower!" She exclaimed, a playful glint in her eye as she gave Dani more spaghetti.

Kage dug into his own food, happy that Adam was getting more food to eat. With a big smile on his lips, he took a drink from the water set out. "It's delicious!" The male mused before stuffing his face again; hey, he was a growing teen, he didn't care if he seemed sloppy.

Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he glanced towars Adam. "Have you had this before?"

Adam watched as the pup whined for it’s parents and asked when they were coming home. Then it asked for more food, not Den Mother briefly saying she was a guard and then giving the pup what it wanted before not Den Mother told the pup it’s parents were on a mission to rescue a princess. Adam rolled his eyes though whether it was in annoyance at the pup or used to such lies and tales of fantasy was unclear. He poked the fork around the plate, shoving the food from end to the other. Why was not Den Mother promising something that may not come true? It was just false hope and would disappoint pup if it’s parents didn’t come back. He supposed then beta would run the pack as the new alpha...or perhaps Kage. Kage was an alpha's son after all, he probably deserved it more than anyone. The omega shook his head as Kage turned to him and asked him a question, bringing the younger omega out of his thoughts.

With a sigh, Adam stabbed the fork into a meatball and shoved the piece of meat into his mouth, the flavor heavier than the bison meat he was used to. The teen slowly chewed on the meat, finding the taste somewhat odd before swallowing and responding to the other's question. "Twice. Though not with this weird bison," he said, stabbing another meatball with his hands. "Once when pup and once when I became full member of pack with other pups my age."

Arya-Loner-Wolf form​

Arya stretched and shakes her furs to fluff it up. She yawns and steps out into the morning sun. She was lucky to have found an abandoned cave last night to get out of the rain. She sniffed the air hungrily. She could smell the far off scent of a pack and made a mental note to avoid it. Her ears picked up rustling sound from not too far away. She flicked her tail happily and started to stalk in the direction the sound was coming from. She soon came to a clearing and spotted a small herd of deer. Not believing her luck she scanned the herd for the weakest. She found a small deer near the edge of the clearing. She slowly stalked closer to it before leaping out and sinking her fangs into its neck. The deer flailed but Arya kept her grip firm. The rest of the herd scattered around her but she remained focused on her breakfast. Soon enough the deer went limp and Arya dropped it. She started to dig in happy for the easy meal.

Kage furrowed his brow and he watched Adam take a bite, tasting and analyzing the flavor of said meat. He couldn't really tell if the male liked it but he could tell that something was annoying him, thinking it may've been the pup. Carefully after finishing, the male got up and rested a hand affectionately against the back of his neck, giving it an encouraging squeeze before going to wash his dishes.

Dakala looked down at Dani ( Texangamer ) and chuckled. She looked over at Adam with a warm smile before running a hand through the young girl's hair. "Of course! She's very pretty!" She mused. Getting up and grabbing the remaining plates, the female went to the kitchen to wash their dishes.

Kage returned and leaned against the table next to Adam, looking down at him. "The meat is made with some other things like cheese and breadcrumbs."

Adam continued to eat the spaghetti, once he had managed to swallow the weird-tasting meatball in his mouth, the omega licking his lips as he tried to get the flavor off his tongue. He felt Kage's hand go to his neck and squeeze it affectionately before leaving, carrying the dish away as the not Den Mother Guard spoke to the pup and then grabbed the rest of the dishes, heading into the kitchen. Dishes were human mates' job...and omegas'. Why was not Den Mother doing dishes? Before he could say anything Kage came back and stood behind him, the younger teen sensing the older male looking down at him as he spoke about there being other things in the meatballs.

"This not bison," said Adam. "Heavy meat." He stabbed another meatball and held it up to show Kage. Nevertheless, his hunger won out against the weird-tasting meat and he ate it anyway, the omega starving but knowing he would get sick if he wolfed the food down. Unfortunately he had run out of food that was familiar to him moons ago. Cheese he knew...Den Mother and omegas made bison cheese, bison milk, goat cheese. Hunters sold furs from trapped animals and kills. Human Mates made shell and bead jewelry to sell with hand carved pottery and wood figurines. The pack did their best to support trade and live simply. Adam ate the meal, taking his time until he was full and had mostly finished it. When he was done, he pushed the plate away from him. "Where creek water?" he questioned. Creek or river, didn't matter. Something for drinking.

Bet my playground stinks. Might have to change the water. Janus had moved the two wolves in the direction of Hendrix as it seemed that neither knew of the places he mentioned and they were now approaching Mossy Canyon, thus named due to the moss growing on the canyon walls. Really a dried up river bed with brush and low vegetation growing in it, it was a nice place in Janus’s mind. They only had two more places to go, Aroma Field and Devil’s Copse. He would lead them slightly further into the grounds away from Winson, purposely with the intent of getting them lost before heading back home. Taking his sweet time of course but for now he stopped to let the male rest, the rain still pouring, the night waning.

Eddie watched as the female ate the bark, shoulders slumping as he realised she truly trusted him. But she couldn't. She wasn't safe near him. Mayhem was, after all, prone to violent outbursts, especially if Eddie became scared or hurt. If he did that near her... She wouldn't be safe. Glancing at the other male, he realised that maybe Eddie's best bet was to allow the female to go on, and for he himself to go with Janus. The other had seemed strangely interested in Eddie earlier.

Listening to Janus explain the herbs, Eddie nodded along. He took one of the lavenders that was offered, for anxiety, and studied it, "No Eddie." Came the rumble of Mayhem, and Eddie sighed, mumbling his thanks to Janus but his assurance that he didn't need it. Eddie blinked as he was also given a recipe for something that could help his memory, but was again snapped at mentally by Mayhem. Why was his other half so against all of this? Perhaps it was because Mayhem was determined that he was the only one able to help and protect Eddie.

He mumbled softly that he had no idea where the areas the man spoke of were, that they'd need leading. That, and it would give Eddie time to create distance between he and the female, then he could go after Janus. Janus, who he followed, quietly, glancing at the female occasionally. He felt guilty for having to leave her, but he knew she was safer without him. As they came to a stop for a while to rest, his hair plastered to his forehead due to the rain, he looked carefully to Janus, "So... Whats your pack like? If you don't mind me asking? T-They have to be strong, to be like you." He hummed. He wasn't making compliments, just speaking of what he assumed.

Staying silent and shaky, Artemis waited for her next command as the others argued between each other. As soon as Tes looked to her and ordered her to find painkillers, she was off, nodding at the threat. She wouldn't dare touch anything in Tesaks room except for what she needed to grab for the Beta. She scampered from the room, straight to her destination, where she hunted down the painkillers as fast as she could, both to avoid Tesak's wrath and to help Arisa. Just as quickly she ran back, pausing as she heard Tesak's voice ordering everyone out. Hoping that didn't mean her also, she snuck in quietly, kneeling down beside Arisa again and offering the painkillers out to Tesak. She startled as Arisa shifted, and followed suit moments later, nuzzling softly against her friends neck, trying to calm her even as she knew Miley, Tesak, and Styx were watching.

Styx nodded his agreement with Miley, following after her. Bumping into Kira was a surprise, and his own rumble of warning joined Miley's, though more aimed at Miley herself than Kira, a soft warning to allow the lower female to explain herself. Why she was stealing from Janus, who was thankfully out, else he'd likely have had her head. She was quick enough in her explanation, and without another word Styx tensed. Arisa. Finally, he'd see if she had strong pups or not. According to Janus, she wouldn't, but Styx had high hopes that his own genes would show through, dominate her weaker ones within the pups.

He followed Miley almost casually, standing in the doorway, watching everyone carefully with narrowed eyes.​

"Run.... Grey... Run...." His mother's words echoed in his head. His mind was a veil of darkness and the only thing he could see was the beast's snarling face. It's glowing eyes, long fangs, blood-stained muzzle; it lunged forward at him. Grey lifted his arms to defend himself. He shrieked in fear and jumped straight up, out of bed. He looked around desperately, trying to understand what was going on. It was a dream... Covered in sweat and panting, he pressed his right hand against his chest to feel his heartbeat, which shook mercilessly. He sighed and pulled the covers off and went to shower.

As he rubbed the soap through his hair, flashes of the nightmare ran back and forth in his mind. He thought about his mother and her beautiful white hair, like his. her soft, brown-red eyes, like what he once had. When Grey had been turned, his eyes became yellow; A daily reminder to him of what was lurking inside him and what had happened on the night his mother was taken away. When he was twelve, he tried the blind himself so he wouldn't have to see those damn eyes anymore, but the wounds just kept healing back.

Grey turned off the shower and quickly dressed himself in a long-sleeve shirt and jeans. He had the day off from his work at the human hospital today, but he was on-call in case anything came up. He decided to skip breakfast, and instead opted to go outside and find a quite spot to finish reading his book.

Upon venturing outside, he sensed the impending rainfall. The smell of it filled his lungs and he groaned in annoyance. Guess I won't be going too far from the house... Grey found a covered spot in the corner of the patio, which was close to the front-door. He pulled out Dante Alighieri's Purgatorio, and buried his nose in the book, attempting to shut out the thoughts of the bad dream from earlier.

Cora waked as she sneezed, she had dozed off for minute when listening rain. Suddenly she noticed that only Pinky was near her, sleeping too. She poked her wake.
"Did both left you? I must have been wrong about other one. Come we need to find cover from rain, or you get sick."
Cora limped with Pinky away from where she had been left. After while limping circles around forest, they saw silhouette of house.
"I can't smell if anyone is there. We must go closer, it could be that we found cover for rain."
Cora nodded and limped closer of house, with her pink friend.

The girl was looking around, rather confused. That’s what he wanted though the male did not seem to appreciate his advice at healing. He would have pocketed the lavender for later as they left the river and continued. Eventually the girl left yet the male remained with him. Janus turned his gaze on the male as he was asked about the pack. “We have too many omegas...too many weak females but then they’re usually weak. The females all belong to my brother, he’s in charge. For some odd reason he had a woman as a beta who is a traitor along with an understudy wgobis male who is also a traitor by having feelings for the beta.” That all according to Sky’s report. “A bitch from Hendrix that seems to be in love with my brother and is clueless. She’s also fat...pregnant and close to popping.”

Janus growled at the idea of Arisa. He wanted to kill her. She was annoying like most women. “We do have an odd omega...a male who is rebellious. The male and female warriors and hunters sleep in a separate room. The concubine, of which there are omegas and breeders, they live in one room together and are kept locked up. I check them for their heats and prepare them for breeding. Then they stay in my brother’s room until their heat is over, being bred repeatedly. Sadly they are useless and make weaklings that die at birth or in the first month.”

"There I crown and miter you over yourself..." Grey was finishing up Canto 27 of Purgatorio, in which Dante overcomes his fear of fire. Virgil had been speaking about Dante's use of intellect and art to overcome his past obstacles, but once he overcame his own mentality, he was finally free to be with Beatrice and truly exist. Dante had mastered himself. The slightest hint of a smile touched Grey's lips, but as he raised his hand to turn the page to the next Canto, a new smell hit him. This was a scent he was not familiar with. Not one of Hendrix, not one of Winson, and not one of human. It was a rogue wolf.

Grey narrowed his eyes and stood up. He shoved his book into his back pocket. He had no idea if this stranger was dangerous or not- the rain made it more difficult to smell anything exact. He also didn't want to risk wasting time and going back inside to grab a raincoat. He groaned and stepped out into the rain. "Who's there?" He called out, sweeping his gaze back and forth in search of this mysterious wolf. Suddenly a figure began to appear in the distance and it was coming closer. It was small, whoever it was. Grey ran towards the stranger and stopped once he was a few meters away.

"Who are you?" He growled, still in his human form. His jeans and long-sleeve shirt were soaking wet and his white hair was plastered against his face. He glared at the loner with yellow eyes, thinking about the rules in Hendrix for dealing with outsiders.

Arya had eaten only about half of the deer before she was full. She dragged the rest back into the den she had found last night. As she reemerged from the den she heard a howl from not to far off. She sniffed the air and caught the scent of an entire pack. Arya started to worry. She didn’t want to go on the run anymore. She liked this den and there was plenty of prey around. She decided she would stay and hope the pack never ran into her.

As he was staring at the young wolf before him, suddenly another faint smell hit his radar. Yet another rogue wolf? We must be lacking in our border patrols lately... Unintentionally, his eyes narrowed even more. He was frustrated that there were so many strange wolves meandering about in a territory that clearly did not belong to them. But who could blame them when the land was so rich with prey and the pack was doing poorly to strengthen the border lines? Grey tried to figure out what he was going to do about this other wolf. First I'll have to deal with the obvious one in front of me. Once I figure out what she wants, then I can go and investigate that other scent...

Kage furrowed his brow at Adam's comment but he decided to roll with it. "Yeah, it's different but still pretty healthly for you!" He chuckled and watched him eat with hesitancy; he had to admit, this was going to get a bit frustrating with the young teen being hard to teach, but that didn't stop him from trying atleast. On the plus side, Adam was very attractive and seemed to be catching on pretty quickly to the customs of the pack.

As Adam pushed his plate away, Kage swooped in and grabbed it to wash. Right before he was about to hand the dish to Dakala, he stopped to listen to his request for some water. "Oh! Follow me!" Kage carefully grabbed his hand and helped him stand, taking him into the connected kitchen area. He set the plate down onto the counter and pointed to the cabinet next to the sink. "That's where we keep our cups," he explained before opening the cabinet door and getting a glass. He moved to the sink which was similar to the one in the bathrooms, he turned on the cold water and filled the glass up. Handing it to Adam, he let go of his hand and began washing the plate.

Adam stared at Kage as he insisted the weird meat was healthy. “If you say so,” he said dubiously. When he was done, Kage took his plate and the younger teen got up before following Kage into the kit’hen. “Why call kit’hen if no hens?” He watched Kage wash his plate and then fil a glass with water before handing it to him.

“Another small falls?” He asked as he pointed to the sink while taking the glass with his other hand. He turned the water on, cocking his head after looking at Kage and stared at the water coming out. “Tiny falls, small falls, big falls,” he said slowly. “Why not Den Mother tell pup fantasy? Not all parent come back home from hunt, from patrol,” said Adam. The wolf looked down out the window, staring silently at the rain.

Kage finished washing and set in the drain board, drying his hands on his pants. He watched as Adam curiously turned the water on and off. "Yes, another tiny fall." He nodded before his eyes widened at his comment. Quickly interrupting him, Kage pulled Adam away from the two and sighed heavily. "Listen, you can't say that around the pup; she..she lost her real parents, Adam. The Alpha and his mate adopted her, gave her a family." He explained. "She is already afraid of losing these ones too from what I can see."

Adam was cut off and pulled away from not Den Mother. “So she not alpha pup but orphan,” said Adam slowly. That meant she had no standing in pack or chance to take over. At least that was how it worked in his pack. Still it was a sad thing to hear the pup had lost her real parents at a young age and he could sympathize with her in a way as one of father’s wolf mates had passed giving birth. Wolf kin siblings had lost mother and been taken in by other wolf mate of father’s. “My siblings lost their mother in childbirth. Father’s other wolf mate take them in as hers until father got a new wolf mate, then wolf kin siblings divided between wolf mates.”

Adam shook his head, his eyes and face becoming downcast. He remembered father wailing as wolf mate had passed, Nectar was her name. A beatiful ginger colored timber wolf. She’d been a hunter but hadn’t been able to save herself. “Sad pup life,” said Adam before pulling away from Kage.
