Name: Michelle Gabriele
Surname: Rosier
Nickname(s): Chel, Chels
School: Hogwarts
House: Slytherin
Age: (18)
Blood Status: Pureblood

Race/Ethnicity: British-French with Irish/Caucasian
Sexuality: Bisexual

Face Claim: Danielle Rose Russell

Visual:
Eyes: Light Green-Blue
Hair: Auburn/Brown
Skin: Cream fair
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 139 lbs
Body Modifications: Standard ear piercing, nothing else
Distinguishing Features: Sharp eyes and a bold brow

Individualism:

Personality: Chels is headstrong, unwavering and cold in her confidence. She's fought tooth and nail to feel any kind of respect for herself, especially in the face of so much criticism and expectation. She preens and maintains appearances for sake of reputation, but otherwise is known to be vindictive and catty in private. Gossiping heavily about others around her, she's extremely opinionated and tends to believe wholeheartedly in herself. She knows that she is the only person that she can trust, and lives by that creed. It's hard for Chels to open up to others, and dependency is an impossible notion to her. The last thing that she wants to seem is weak or vulnerable, and will do anything to make sure that others around her understand and respect that as well. Asking for help is not in Chels vocabulary, nor is discussing her own problems when everyone else's is far more interesting and far less of an emotional investment for her to bother with.

In the face of her family though, she's only barely been able to defend herself. Her mother, her worst enemy, is the one person who can knock her down a peg. People who can embody the same callous, careless and bitchy demeanor as her mother can be capable of this great feat as well. Every moment of her childhood was a moment spent toward becoming perfection. It hasn't occurred to Chels yet that perfection is unattainable. She's an extreme workaholic, capable of throwing herself into something and being so lost in it she forgets the time passing. It helps with all the classes and clubs that Chels busies herself with, once again in the undying quest to be the best.

The only man in her family that she respects, even slightly, is her twin brother Gabriel. She hates to show her care for him, and that his opinion matters most, and pushes him away. This is the same for anyone else that Chels considers an emotional weakness, but her brother is the one sore spot. To those that she calls friends but holds an arms length away, she projects specific masks for each. As far as her peers know, she is an uptight and studious witch with a bright future ahead of her. She's perceptive, wise but naive to her own emotions and how they affect her.

Strengths: Academic intelligence, quick-witted, hard-working, adaptive, and superb duelist
Weaknesses: Over emotional, easily forms grudges, subjective to family-ties, rejection and failure
Patronus: Wolverine
Boggart: Her own mother, but horribly disfigured and closer to demonic
Strongest Subjects: Potions, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts
Weakest Subjects: Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination
School Clubs: Potions Club, Head of the Duelling Club, Head Girl, Quidditch

Thoughts on the Competition: "I'm a strong advocate of most forms of competition, especially between schools. As Head Girl, I think it's a great way to build ties and keep our community tight, especially in light of recent... decrees. Personally, I intend to win. Whatever the cost. I don't lose."
Thoughts on the Ministry: "My family has done our part for years now, struggling to fight for our place back in Wizardkind. We've enough black stains on our legacy and we work twofold to repair it... but the Ministry is unrelenting force of like-minded idiots. We play complacent, for now, as mother says."
Motivations: Winning the competition means there's a chance to free her sister from Azkaban and to prove some honour for the family name. As well, Chel is motivated by her own need to succeed and rise above all. One of these days she intends to be close to her brother again, but she's far too bitter to think about it.

Animagus: n/a
Quidditch Position: Chaser

History
Backstory: The birth of Michelle and her twin brother were inexplicably linked from the moment they both breathed their first air. There was something about the birth of twins that really sparked a change in the family, or a change in pace rather. Aziraphale Rosier, their father, considered it a blessing on the family. Daphne Rosier (born Greengrass), their mother, considered it a day straight out of hell. Who could blame her, with a labour lasting six excruciating hours, and a traumatized eight year old in the waiting room with her grandmother waiting for good news. Things could have gone so much worse, as Zir says, but that's due to his uncanny optimism. Maybe Daphne was truly vexed by the arduous labour, and held it in her heart to vow vengeance on the two screaming babies for causing so much trouble. Maybe that's just Michelle's snarky retelling of the whole thing.

In reality, while the birth was difficult, emotions were high and positive. All things considered, infancy was a critical period of bonding and normalcy for the twins. Though Daphne was less than pleased at being a mother to twins, with a growing child, the burden that was motherhood befell her-- she wouldn't fail her twins, so to say, but she would make life just as difficult for them as they had her. It was nothing intentional, but expectations for greatness started at about day one. Daphne was sure that her children would grow to be powerful and honourable, worthy of carrying both of their family names. Development was encouraged and to the best of the family's wealth and resources, cultivated. Michelle was always a fast learner, crawling by four months and walking by a year.

It was until she was at least six or seven that she realized her impact on the world around her. For one, she began to realize that unlike other kids (which were few and far between in seeing outside of the family home) didn't live quite like she did. Even among the fellow purebloods, she could scarcely recall the degree of authoritarian that other parents were compared to their mother. Zir was there, of course, but was more akin to a father shaped rock than an actual human. He wasn't useless, but he was clueless. Providing empty moral support, and the occasional pat on the back, all that he seemed to care about was getting the kids into Quidditch.

They began tutoring young, to foster their magic talents. Michelle was a natural at holding her wand, but for the longest time wobbled and faltered with her spells. This would come to be a developing anxiety, but one that wouldn't be addressed for many years to come. The tutoring ages were the hardest for Michelle, and it was around that age that she had some of her favourite memories with her siblings. While their mother was more akin to a taskmaster than a nurturer, Rachel proved to be empathetic and determined. Gabriel and Michelle were close, due to being twins, but in the face of their mother's universal unfairness, they three clung to each other. When Rachel went to Hogwarts, the grand estate seemed to be quieter.

Things were relatively fine for a time, and the twins used the opportunity to come together in the face of even more adversity. Daphne was growing restless, feeling that her eldest was beginning to pull away from the family. Recent fights had shown some tension between the two, and in reaction, Daphne turned her rage onto her next daughter. The family had already had enough dark smears on their timeline, with plenty of suspicion cast for having ties to Death Eaters over ten years ago, and there was still a glimmer of hope that things could go back to normal.

A few years before the twins were set to go to Hogwarts was when Rachel graduated, having a rough turn of the last couple of years and a proper falling out, and immediately jumped right in with the wrong crowds. The semantics didn't matter to the family, but what did matter was the apple of their family name, Rachel Rosier, was cavorting with remnant Death Eaters and other anti-ministry extremists. The twins could only watch in fear as things slowly grappled out of control. By the time they were already enrolled in Hogwarts, the absolute worst happened. Rachel, caught for a number of dangerous and suspicious activities, was quickly shipped away to Azkaban.

It was the hardest blow to the entire family. Things were worse for Michelle when, at the Sorting Hat ceremony, she watched in abject horror as Gabriel was sorted into Hufflepuff. It didn't make sense. Not too long after that she fought to push him away, more so than before, feeling it to be the ultimate betrayal. Michelle forced herself into her studies, and into making friends with fellow Slytherin. Connections were connections, and embodying the woman she hated most, Michelle worked her ass off to establish both reputation and presence in the school. She constantly alternated through clubs after helping get them off their feet, playing the part of intensely studious, and it paid off.

Everything she did she did for her mother, who was sure to send a Howler if there were no updates or positive news to be shared. While equally surrounded by newfound friends, surface level that they are, Michelle remains lonely. Deep in her heart she misses her brother, but is far too proud to admit that it's all been a petty mess. With the announcement of the T.W.I.S.T, Michelle's got one goal in mind: winning for herself.

Basics
Name: Delynn Cateline
Surname: Von Kronig
School: Beauxbaton
House: Bellefeuille (Quidditch Keeper)
Age: (18)
Blood Status: Half Breed (Half-Veela)

Race/Ethnicity: Dutch/French
Sexuality: Bi-Sexual

Face Claim: Elle Fanning

Visual:
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde
Skin: Pale
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 147
Body Modifications:
Distinguishing Features:

Personality:
Vices:

Impatient- Despite being a headstrong and brave individual Delynn has the tendency to be very.... impatient. She is quick to seek results and even faster to grow bored of a situation. She is quick to excite, and at times incredibly difficult to control when she starts going off. But aside from this her impatient attitude surrounds school work, social situations, people that promise her things, and especially those that try to impress her or show off.

Superstitious- Being raised by her mother a majority of her life she was raised in a culture steeped in superstition, she tends to take a long look at things that seem out of place and isn't against throwing conventional explanations out the window. She is the type to avoid cracks and tends to be slightly obsessive about small things in her life like broken mirrors and avoiding black cats even if she still pets them.

Vengeful- If there is one vice that best describes Delynn it is her tendency to resort to vengeance and pure wrath. She is quick to turn on people and even faster to repay the favor on those that attempt to torment her. She is not against hurting someone from a social viewpoint for messing with her in a way she finds unforgivable. While it takes a good bit to earn her anger it is something that most people would rather not deal with.

Cynical- Due to the way people are drawn to her Delynn tends to view people differently. She is often unsure if they are simply seeking her out to try to get her on their side or if they truly wish to be friends with her. She does not know if the guys who introduce themselves to her are just trying to get in her pants or if they are goofing off. Either way, she views many people that interact with her as if they are acting wholly in their own interests rather than in a shared interest of companionship.

Virtues:

Compassionate- Despite her vengeful nature and tendency towards wrath she also has a level of compassion that is at times difficult to find in others. She will be among the first to run to someone who is injured no matter who they are even if they have wronged her in one way or another. She is quick to offer her assistance and will give up her food or belongings to those who need it but may do so behind closed doors depending on who the individual is and what they stand for.

Merciful- Delynn is ruthless but repeatedly ends up on the side of mercy. When it comes down to the end of a conflict and her point is made she will end it there and leave the person or object of her ire alone. She does not continue her attacks, knowing that to continue could actually harm the person. It is a big reason she tends to be bad at dueling.

Strong Individuality- Delynn's individuality maybe her strongest virtue, she shines brightest on her own despite often walking the path her father wishes her to walk. She pushes against and snaps at conformity, taking up her own style and wearing whatever she pleases when she can. She acts on her own accord when possible and lives her life the way she believes is best for her.

Loyal- A friendship with Delynn is a friendship that will be fruitful for both. She is a loving and caring individual that actively looks out for the people she likes and does not sway from her traits once the person knows them. One can trust Delynn to keep secrets and do the things she promised unless huge events unfold and even then she is unlikely to change the path she set off on or turn against the people that she trusts.

Adventurous- Delynn's desire to explore and her curiosity for the unknown is a driving factor behind who she is. She will be among the first to walk into a situation unsure of how it will come out as well as be one of those to pitch an idea. She is quick to get behind a trip anywhere and enjoys the journey, experiences, interactions with others, the world, and the things around her.

Patronus:
Fire Dwelling Salamander
This small, fire-dwelling lizard is born out of flames and lives as long as the flames that spawned it, though it can survive outside them for up to six hours if fed properly. This Patronus represents a person that was born and/or has lived under pressing circumstances but overcomes every obstacle, getting stronger each day. People with this Patronus love challenges and are good at handling stress.

Boggart: Delynn is put off by zombies or Inferius, having nightmares about them more often than not. Her boggart is her mother but as a husk of an Inferius.

Strongest Subjects:
Potions, Charms and Alchemy
Weakest Subjects:
Divination, History of Magic and Astronomy
School Clubs:
Beauxbaton equivalence of- Care for Magical Creatures and Ghoul studies.

Thoughts on the Competition: “It looks to be a bit harrowing but I feel I am more than capable of figuring out how to proceed. It will be really nice to leave the country and go to England. I’ve heard some things about what's going on and I just hope that it's more or less relaxed… the situation. I know the tournament will be a rolling nightmare for me, but I can get through it.

Thoughts on the Ministry: ”Blessed I do not have to deal with them the way those in the British isles do. Muggles seem to be encroaching on our sovereignty more and more. I wonder what will become of home if the same ends up happening to us.”

Motivations: Delynn is motivated by love and self-worth. She is driven to achieve the things she knew her mother would want her to and drives herself forward with the idea her mother is cheering her on. Though at times her motivation can shift depending on whether or not her father gets involved. More often than not his overburdening and controlling personality adds unwelcomed stress to her.

Amortentia scent: Delynn smells like Honeysuckle, Evergreen sap, and Peppermint.

History
Backstory:
Delynn's childhood was filled with joy and constant celebration. The society of Veela she was raised in instilled a deep spirit of individuality and desire to be her own person. Yet, she also learned many things from the other Veela that she would likely have missed out on had she been raised solely by her father. This open upbringing allowed her to explore the things she wished for while also allowing her a safe space to experience the rather mystic lifestyle of the people she was around. This lifestyle ended up emblazoned on her but came to a terrible end following the sudden death of her mother at the hands of a muggle that didn't like the word 'no.'. This event shook Delynn to the core and implanted a deep hatred of muggles that she's still working through.

Despite this, she soon realized that the world she stepped into was one that was at odds with the one she had left. Where there was once vast freedom now there was a level of discipline and example that must be maintained. Her father began to speak to her about what occurred to her mother, how the muggles were to blame for her death and that her natural beauty and charm was not something to be afraid of, for whether she liked it or not it was something that she too would have to deal with. This turn from acceptance to condemnation caused a war of ideas and beliefs within the young half veela that continues to rage even years later. Reaching school age she was quickly enrolled in Beauxbatons, her father making sure she was set up with not only what she needed, but getting everything she could ever want.

Even with the attempts to sway her towards supremacist thinking, Delynn maintained a balanced mindset, keeping the ideals and expectations of her father in the forefront of her mind while also being sure to embrace the things her mother and her family taught her. Things in school however went well before things began to sour in terms of her interactions with other students. Now in her final year, she begins to stretch her wings in terms of looking to the future and the things to come, like the T.W.I.S.T and going to Hogwarts for the competition. She has heard the sparse rumors of the discontent bubbling beneath the surface of the British isles but all the news coming out seems to be rather light-hearted but steeped in meaning. The news has unsettled her to say the least, though she knows that her school wouldn't put her in any trouble. Nor would the British ministry of magic want to risk an international incident. At least, she hopes that will be the case.

personality:Adriaan comes from a place where adapting to one’s environment was key in all things - social, spiritual and magical. He has become someone used to going with he flow, valuing people who value others and always trying to be a neutral haven for those in greatest need. Steadfast in his beliefs, he will never betray the trust of another, never undermine the joy or prosperity of someone who has earned their spot in the sun, nor will he ever assume the worst in others at first glance.

patronus:african lion
boggart:his home burning

strongest subjects:transfiguration, potions, herbology
weakest subjects:d.a.d.a, astronomy, history of magic

clubs: writing(poetry) club, gardening club, magical creatures club

Thoughts on competition and the ministry:
Concerning the competition, he is not sure what to think of it. He is quite grateful for the chance to prove his worth and his skill. His continued mistrust in his own powers has long since undermined his ability to truly grow into who he believes he could be but at the same time is afraid to be. His confidence is something that always feels misplaced, and in an inverse way, taking part in the competition is a means for him to prove that, should he ever choose to go full out into something, that he is not only capable of doing well, but also that he is worthy of trying in the first place.

Concerning the ministry, he looks upon it with curious suspicion, wondering at the insistence that all things are at peace while so much of what is tradition and culture is being stripped away. Coming from a place where culture is all, and history matters beyond most anything else, the perspectives and the values that he worries the ministry might be doing away with might be the first step towards returning to that horrific past they had managed to escape at the cost of such great and enduring suffering.

His animagus form is an elephant he calls Fantoolie (fun-twuh-lee)

History: Adriaan was born to a traditional, conservative Afrikaner family who live on a farm surrounding the cape winelands district of southern africa. While many within the area flourished, his own family have done so for hundreds of years, using magic to elevate their produce.

As is the norm in south africa, most magical instruction is done by the family, with much of the secrets and skills guarded heavily within vast collections within older families, who use not only blood purity, but also skill to elevate themselves in the public eye.

With a long history of suppression, exploitation and control, he was expected to learn with his family, but found - as he had throughout his upbringing the idea of learning magic, not only from people he found ill tempered and morally questionable - but also to learn it for the purposes of control and domination - to be a disgusting prospect. He abandoned their teaching, and was - to their utter disapproval - allowed to study un Uagadou.

His first few years studying in a foriegn nation, with thousands of students that were culturally as different from him as they were from eachother, reinforced his sense that all people are their own, and their means and traditions and histories - while often removed from one another, follow the natural flow of community and survival.

Pressing against any biases and fears he might have had, he put all effort into not only becoming a first rate wizard, but also pushed to understand more than just magic, but people as well. His years in school have been the best in his life, having far surpassed any within his family.

Much of his time, when home, has been spent trying to convey his own findings to his family, finding an obstinate desire to remain closed off, challenged by a growing number of the members realising that they cannot retain their fruitless efforts in entertaining blood purity, or any such a thing at the cost of the many over the whims of the
Few - something that has been his greatest joy.

magical hands: as a student at uagadou he does not have to use a wand, having learned from the start the use of wandless magic. while he could use one, he feels it is far more natural to use his gestures without one. his magic, which might thus never be as concentrated as someone with a wand’s might be, is unerringly reliable and stable, and often he can cast far quicker than someone who might need to arm themselves first.

Adunni

look deeply into the palm of your hand
you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors.
all of them are alive in this moment. each is present in your body.
you are the continuation of each of these people.

— DOSSIER & VISAGE.
Name: Adunni Ayomide Yekini
Nicknames: None | Adunni doesn’t really have any nicknames. She doesn’t like her name shortened and she typically ignores anyone’s attempt at giving her one.
School: Uagadou School of Magic
House: Sphinx
Sphinx is one of the four houses at Uagadou School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, located in the Mountains of the Moon of western Uganda. The largest of all wizarding schools, it welcomes students from all over the enormous continent. Uagadou has stood the test of time (at least a thousand years) and achieved an enviable international reputation.

Much (some would say all) magic originated in Africa, hence why the houses are interwoven with the creatures of great myths from all over the continent. For Sphinx, it is a mythical creature with the body of a lion, most often with a human head and sometimes with wings. The creature was an Egyptian invention and had a male head - human or animal; however, in ancient Greek culture the creature had the head of a woman. The sphinx is also present in the art and sculpture of the Mycenaean, Assyrian, Persian and Phoenician civilizations.
In the Eighteenth Dynasty, Tuthmosis IV, when he was a mere prince, went on a hunting expedition and fell asleep in the shadow of the Sphinx. He dreamt that the Sphinx spoke to him and promised he would become king if he cleared the sands that had accumulated around the feet of the statue.
In contrast to the Egyptian view, the ancient Greeks saw the sphinx as a more troublesome creature and the most famous myth involving a sphinx is that of the Theban prince Oedipus.
With such an fascinating mythological creature as the house emblem, Sphinx students are known for the following characteristics: cultured, insightful, and intellect.

Age: 18 years old
Blood Status: Pureblood
Ethnicity: Yoruba
Sexuality: Bisexual

Hair: Adunni’s hair is dark brown in color, the type of brown that people mistake as black until it’s hit by certain heights. She has a head full of soft, springy curls. Her afro is quite large in its natural state. Adunni is always wearing some sort of elaborate style, her hair is adorned by various gold accessories. She loves protecting it with braids or carefully styling it straight for other styles.
Eyes: Her eyes are black, the color of two shiny onyx stones, an intense pool of midnight black that people swear can see right through them. They’re an attractive almond shape and softened by long lashes.
Skin: With the use of magical skin care Adunni is able to keep her skin as soft and clear as ever. Her skin is deep, dark brown in color. Her father has told her that she’s an earthen wrapped gift.

Height: 5’10
Weight: 134lbs
Body Modifications: So far Adunni only has the standard earlobe piercings. She doesn’t have any marking or tattoos.
Faceclaim: Mariama Diallo

— PERSONA.
Personality: When others look at Adunni the first thing that they notice is the way she carries herself. With utter poise and grace she walks with her head held high and her shoulders straight. Her motions are delicate, her walk gives the impression that she was carefree to others. The importance of appearances had been drilled into Adunni’s head since she was a young girl. And so she shows herself to the public without looking anything but well put together. Her image is not only her own, but her family’s as well. They carry their reputation on their shoulders with pride, as it is the way of their family. To let their prestige be known through their looks as a unit.

It’s no wonder that Adunni has a problem when it comes to perfection. She does not care for messes, if she can avoid them. And strives to be the best that she can be, oftentimes pushing herself without a thought of how she feels. Adunni is always looking for ways to improve herself, be it in school or life in general. It’s safe to say that she’s spoiled. Adunni only expects the best in life and to accept anything less than that is doesn’t she doesn’t dare to think about.

Adunni’s femininity and delicate demeanor often leads others to believe that she is fragile, weak even. Her love for beautiful things and aesthetics often comes with the title of being unintelligent or airheaded. She’s fine with this, using it to her advantage when she can. Adunni enjoys waiting for the right moment to strike, to prove them wrong. Those who foolishly think her weak are surprised at the cunning that lays underneath, taken back by her strength and ability to bite back with her words. Her words can be biting as her hawk-like gaze looks for any sign of weaknesses. She’s truly a predator underneath her soft image.

To say that she is charming would be an understatement. She knows how people are more willing to listen to a pretty face. Adunni has a way of drawing others in and keeping their attention with the simplest gestures. With a gentle touch here and a smile there, she knows how to ensnare others without them realizing.

When it comes to her culture Adunni is the traditional sort. She loves and values nearly every aspect of it. Adunni is a spiritual person who will look for guidance from her ancestors without shame, for they are there to help and protect her. Adunni is protective of her way of life. She can be surprisingly insightful, a wonderful advice giver to those she associates with. Knowing the importance of networking Adunni enjoys meeting others, especially if they come from a different culture of her own. She’s always been curious about the world around her and what it has to offer.

To the outside world she is the picture perfect definition of a pureblood girl. And they’re right in a way. But Adunni is not without her faults. For one, she’s materialistic and can value things over people at times. She loves beautiful things, be it objects or people. She can be quite vengeful as well and isn’t above getting her revenge on others. She’s willing to step on others if it means that she’s getting to the top. Despite her cool persona Adunni is someone who feels deeply, especially when it comes to her family. She tries not to let her emotions cloud her judgement but she is still young. Bottling up her emotions is her way of dealing or coping with things. There’s a part of her who wishes she could live without the weight and gaze of pureblood doctrine on her back, but she has buried that part of herself.
Strengths: Intelligent, Observant, Elegant, Charming
Weaknesses: Traditionalist, Materialistic, Perfectionist, Blunt

Thoughts on the Competition: “I don’t really see the need for such a dangerous competition. There are other ways to bring the schools together, ways that wouldn’t result in a needless death.”
Thoughts on the Ministry: “It is rigid, controlling even.”
Motivations: “I wish to become a healer. But besides, my greatest motivation is my family and doing what is best for our line with the strength and determination of those who came before me.”

— BACKGROUND.
Background: It is said that the Yekini family’s history began in the former empire of Ife, of which their founder was a prince of. Throughout their history the family thrived, even as the empire fell. A powerful family within the magical community of Nigeria, the Yekini’s were priests and priestesses in their culture, entrepreneurs, healers, and warriors who sought to bring fortune and prestige to their family and kingdom. Strong believers of Ife Orisha, who served their Orishas to gain their favors, offering precious metals, fruits, and animals in order to please them.

Adebamgbe Yekini was born within their ancestral city of Ife, along with his many siblings. Together they attended Uagadou and in school Adebamgbe thrived, going on to graduate with top marks. He went on to become a potions apprentice but that didn’t seem to be enough for him. Later on he began his own business, one that specialised in the exploration, mining, retail, trading and industrial manufacturing of precious gemstones like diamonds. These stones were popular amongst the magical and normal community as they could be used for moth magical and aesthetic purposes. Before long the company thrived and grew, branching out across West and South Africa.

Like most Purebloods, Adebamgbe was placed in a marriage contract from birth. Though he did not meet his future wife until he was about eighteen years old. Abeni Oyalode was the Pureblood daughter of a pureblood healthcare administrator and his healer wife. The two of them were often watched by a chaperone when they were together, unless they managed to sneak away. As time passed the two of them came to care for one another, determined to make things work for the sake of their families. Before long the two of them were married. And their daughter Adunni was born.

Adunni had the typical life of a pureblood child. There was nothing that she wanted for. From birth she was adored and loved her family, with members coming from all over to celebrate her birth and even her birthdays. She was never a lonely child, having plenty of cousins to spend time with. That is when she wasn’t having play dates with other magical children.

Growing up Adunni was taught by her family, up until she could attend Uagadou. She grew up deeply involved with the culture of Ife Orisha, as it was a part of who she was. The young woman was taught of the Orishas and how to respect and worship them from the elders of her family. Adunniwas taught of the magic that came with it, from spells to potions, all ranging from healing to hexes.

When it was her time to attend Uagadou Adunni couldn’t be more excited. Generations of her family had attended the academy before her and it was her turn to carry on the legacy. Within school Adunni thrived, working hard in order to keep her grades at their best while also climbing the social ladder until she reached the top.

Surname: Kushnyr
Nickname: Mark, Idiot
School: Durmstrang

Age: 18
Blood Status: Mixed (his mother is a half muggleborn. His father is a pureblood)

Race/Ethnicity: White
Sexuality: Pansexual

Face Claim: (Anton Kotee)
1618352940430.png

Visual:
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Curly and brown.
Skin: Rosy, but kind of pale.
Height: 5’7
Weight: 132 lbs
Body Modifications: He has a tattoo on his forearm of the Roman numeral for six. Sometimes he'll just dye his hair, depending on his mood
Distinguishing Features: His tattoo, he also usually has a smile on his face.

Individualism:

Personality: He’s extremely energetic and happy-go-lucky and overall friendly. His friendliness can often come across as flirty, though he doesn’t mean for it to come across that way. He just loves being around people and having fun. This energy mixed with his amicability and bad English means that sometimes he can come across as naive and an idiot. However, this hides a surprisingly responsible, reliable, and clever side of him that he doesn’t really show often unless in life-and-death situations and a willingness to protect the people he cares about at all cost.
Due to him living among Muggles for about 3 years, he actually has a large appreciation for Muggle living, preferring it over his wizard counterparts. He plans on getting more tattoos in the future, but maybe of something a bit more light hearted.
Despite this, Marko does suffer from pride. It's a point of pride for him that he can be relied upon. Therefore, if he has to be helped, he's failing at his job. He will refuse most help and to ask for help due to this pride. He also lies frequently, it's part of his "media training" from his time being trained as a politician and also it keeps him from actually having to face his issues and not just laugh them off.
Strengths: Wandless magic, Nonverbal magic. Herbology, potions. Things that require him to work with his hands. (though he’s unaware that he has a proficiency in the former two, he just thinks that he’s a bad wizard). Muggle street smarts, Eastern European wizarding politics.
Weaknesses: Literally any kind of magic where he has to say something or wave his wand in a specific manner. This includes charms, defense against the dark arts, the dark arts (even though technically it's a Durmstrang specialty) and transfiguration. Tendency to deal with things the Muggle way instead of using magic.
Patronus: An eagle
Boggart: A large dark tree with blood dripping down it and human remains scattered about, pierced through the branches.
Strongest Subjects: Arithmancy, Potions, Herbology
Weakest Subjects: Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration
School Clubs: N/A

Thoughts on the Competition:
“It have fun time, right? Good competition not harm anyone. We become strong with challenge.”
Thoughts on the Ministry:
“I don’t know on Ministry. That is all I say on that.” He doesn't like them. At all. He doesn't really mind not really following the traditions, but forcing others to do so? He has problems with that. He has problems with government issued wands. He has problems with... a lot of the regime. He just also won't voice those opinions.
Motivations: He wants to be a reliable ally for others. He doesn’t wish for greatness or want for power, he just wants to help others be the best they can be. But, he knows that the more powerful he becomes, the better he can help others, the more reliable he can be.

Animagus: N/A
Quidditch Position: N/A

History
Backstory:
Marko comes from a very influential and politically powerful wizarding family in the Ukraine. His parents' marriage were arranged where one of the most powerful duelers of their generation that lived in the Ukraine married one of the most politically powerful wizards. They planned upon having 7 children, due to 7 being one of the most important numbers in magic. The 7th child was to be their heir, since, logically speaking, he would be the most powerful of the siblings. And the plan worked for the first six of Marko's siblings. Each of them got successively more and more powerful in the buildup to the 7th child: Marko.

When Marko was a small kid, he was what people would describe as "a chaotic baby." The normal magical happenings around children that can't control their powers seemed to happen tenfold for Marko, and his parents couldn't be happier. Their plan had worked, now only to tame his magic. So they had him groomed to become a people pleaser, a politician. They taught him how to lie, taught him how to smile even if he was in pain. The ins and outs of things like Herbology and potion making, what spells did, how to handle safe magical creatures. He grew up trilingual, learned how to keep his magic from flaring up uncontrollably. And by the time he entered school, Marko was groomed for success.

And then he actually started classes and... he absolutely sucked. He was one of the worst in his class at charms and transfiguration and- well. Every kind of spell-casting wand-waving magic that they threw at him. And though he did truly excellent at classes on Herbology, potions, and History of magic, he barely passed his first year because of his truly awful grades in charms, transfiguration, and defense against the dark arts. A rocky start to his education, his parents assumed, but maybe he just needed a little push.

So, his second year, he had a lot more pressure on him to succeed. And he still did poorly. To make matters even worse, he was kidnapped by an enemy of his parents. When his brother came to save him, the wizard killed his brother. Long story short, Marko's parents backed off just a little bit in the aftermath, figuring that this would be motive for him to improve next year. And his media training really came in clutch with all the invasive questions he asked by reporters.

By his third year, though, his parents had gone right back to pressuring him. And he did just as bad as the last two years. So midway through, without much fanfare, he was disowned and cut out of the family. His parents told him to get lost and keep it under wraps. His siblings helped him set up an apartment to live in, after another year of narrowly avoiding being held back, though it had to be away from the wizarding world. So he started living among the Muggles when he wasn't at Durmstrang. With the newfound freedom, he was able to let loose more, and he gained an appreciation for Muggles. They didn't expect him to be some all-powerful magician, or some stuck up rich kid pureblood or some media darling. They were fine with just Marko: the kinda odd, but friendly and energetic guy that could do basic labor for you if you let him watch Spiderman on your TV. His siblings would send him money when he absolutely needed it for school, and he began a muggle garden of basic vegetables and herbs on a rooftop of an abandoned building for some extra cash with his neighbors.

TRAITS

Basically, Maggie has a positive demeanor about life. She is friendly and compassionate. She has a kind heart and often tries to reach out, and will go out of her way to make others feel included. Though she doesn't have much, she is free spirited and still enthusiastic about her simple and mundane life. Definitely an idealist.

She is strong willed once she sets her mind to something, there's no going back. She does it with veracity and conviction. Apart from her tenacity, she is also quick to call people out on their behavior if they're being too much and insensitive. She has a good mix of book smarts and street smarts due to years of being independent. Maggie will never back down just to fight for what's right.

Maggie also has a great love for animals that working in Magical Menagerie is more of a relaxation than a job. She is very keen on details, especially when it comes to cleaning. Once someone peels off her initial shyness and she feels comfortable, she can be very affectionate, thoughtful and verbose on all of the things she likes.

She is willing to stand up for someone and will do everything to just to assist and support a friend. She holds great disdain for the elitism of some pureblooded zealots. A law-abiding citizen but then she also questions whatever remained of the Ministry nowadays.

With her being too empathetic and selfless Maggie sees the good in people no matter what others would say but once someone broke her trust and wronged her, there's no second chances. She prefers to think out a plan before doing anything which sometimes can lead to her overthinking and anxiety. She tends to babble incoherently when nervous and it is more than safe to say that she is not a good liar.

Because of her parents and her upbringing, she can't help but to feel insecure about it sometimes that she developed a certain fear despite her strengths and positivity. Though she's working hard to get over and fight it, on occasion, it hinders her to make friends and acquaintances with the sole thinking of maybe they’ll not accept her for who she is.

⋄ appearance ⋄
Maggie has long wavy brunette hair that is often in a pony tail if not cascading down her back. Her eye color seems to change, like a kaleidoscope. From afar it could be seen as gray but up close it is stained with greens and flecks of tantalizing hazel browns. She has a slender figure, angular face, and fair skin that some people thought that she's a part Veela for a split second which she is not. Her height may not be towering but she stands in average 5'7 though she often hunches along with her head down due to her being uncomfortable.

⋄ scars and marks ⋄
She has a small scar on her wrist from a year ago when she accidentally nicked herself from a broken glass.

⋄ style ⋄
Maggie's outfit are in a much more feminine side, as she often wore dresses and skirts that can be said as an outdated fashion. Most of them are handmade from some cheap fabric she can buy and some of her dresses are second hand from a thrift shop in Diagon Alley. Even her bonnets and winter gloves were hand knitted by her. As far as she's concerned, as long as she can mend and fix her apparel, it's all good to go. She has only 2 leather boots, the less tattered were used as her school shoes and the other one is for her day to day. If it's called for, especially when it's her turn to clean the cages in Magical Menagerie, she wears trousers and shirt.

BACKGROUND

Maggie's parents were both a Squib. Her mother, hailing from Spain while her father, from France, met in England. They were both pushed out of their family for the sole reason of not being able to perform magic. They were considered as the greatest shame in their family so the two started over in Great Britain. Her mother became a florist while her dad owns a small bakery in the city and the two promised never to look back to the cruel people who turned them away.

When Maggie started to show signs of magic, her mother told her to hide it. At least, hide it from her father. Despite being banished and cut off, her mother is not too averse to the wizarding community, unlike her father who completely turned his back and hated everything that is related to magic. That's why when she was 11 and received her letter, her father threw a fit and demanded her to forget about it.

It was her mom who pushed her to go to school and pursue her heart.

Maggie knew the risk and consequences but the girl was too delighted to ever think about it so she went on. Ever since she started her schooling, she never spoke to her dad again. but every once in a while, she meets her mom in secret.

She knew she had to work hard and to fend for herself when it came to financial means. With the help of her mother’s friend, she landed a job in the Leaky Cauldron for her lodging and meals while when she's not in Hogwarts and as for her school things, she took another job in the Magical Menagerie as a shop assistant and a cleaner.

⇝ Thoughts on the Competition ⋄
Maggie thinks it's a scary and dangerous concept on how to show which school is the greatest when it comes to honing the abilities and teaching their students some core values such as bravery and intelligence. Not to mention to showcase the magical aptitude of their chosen champion. But then having eternal glory and being hailed as the winner of the competition must be exhilarating.

She’s excited about the competition but also scared and amazed for the competitors.

⇝ Thoughts on the Ministry ⋄
For seven years of working at Leaky Cauldron, Maggie had an opportunity to meet loads of witches and wizards from all walks of life. Sometimes they only pass by, but there are few folks who stay and chat. Old ones for that matter. Aside from tending the fire, cleaning the rooms and dusting the corners, Maggie's duty is to listen to old people talk. It wasn't a task per se, but she knew some of those people were alone and needed someone to talk to. Or at least they need someone who will listen. She could've just ignored them but she's rather fond of listening to them discuss the olden days. All the what if’s and could be’s. The time when people still embraced the ancient ways. These discussions can get someone accused of espionage and conspiracy but they still gossip. There Maggie learned about the difference of the old Ministry versus the new leader. Some say that the witch currently in position is a muggle lover so much that it could be said that she wanted all of muggles to learn about their existence or even transform the wizarding world to a muggle colony. Some say that she's just afraid and so she's being overly cautious from powerful individuals who try to take down the ministry. By doing her reform, she hinders them and at the same time controls everything. She doesn't want anarchy and she's quenching it just before it starts. Some even dubbed her as a dictator. Of course, no one truly knows what’s what.

Some issues were still debated, some were settled over a bottle of whisky.

From all the gossip she's heard, one thing is similar and that's how the ancient ways are fading. True enough, change is good but they're altering most of the things that makes them who they are. As much as Maggie wants to deny it, she is somehow angry and abhorrent about the new ways. She loves who she is and what she has. Although at the same time she is hoping, granted that it's a fool's hope, that if somehow wizards and muggles learn to live side by side, without the secrecy and prejudice, one day her parents can maybe accept her for who she is and they could finally all be together again.

Motivations: to work hard and earn enough money for travelling around the globe and study creatures. She aspires to be a magizoologist. That and to make her family, if not only her mother, be proud of her.

History
Backstory: Pierre is the youngest of three siblings and only son from a premier French magical family. His status as the only son and heir to the family name meant his parents spend considerable effort in his upbringing, ensuring he met the exacting standards required for the role. The main instigator for this was his mother Madeleine . Known as La Lionne, among other less flattering nicknames, she was known for her strict conservative views as tough and fiery character and ability to play the political game. Her skill was enough for her to be considered as the next French Minister of Magic. Her legacy and beliefs were central and her son was important for both so had strict control of Pierre. Especially as both his sisters eventually rebelled and fled from the family almost causing irreparable embarrassment.

Pierre under her tight grip, had little other options than to let his mother influence him, with little way to gain experience outside his mothers control even at Beauxbaton where his mothers influence was considerable. He grew up believing in pureblood supremacy, might make right and muggle subhumanism. In his first three years in Beauxbaton, he was a capable student but also known as a bully, joining eventually leading the supremacist clique at the school. Frequently known as a bully and agitator with her families influence preventing him from getting into trouble.

However during the end of his third year, things suddenly changed Madeleine's enemies managed to get one over on persuading the current French Minister to assign her to a new role: French Ambassador to the English Ministry. The role was meant to get her out of the way from French politics and add insult to injury force her to go to England a place she though uncouth. Twist the knife further, Pierre was volunteered as part of a student exchange between Hogwarts and Beauxbaton. Something Madeleine had to accept despite fighting it fiercely.

It was a certainly a culture shock for Pierre, inexperienced with the ways of Hogwarts and being out of her Mothers protective influence. Though he tried to continue with his old ways, but soon found himself floundering even among the conservative elements of the school. The headmistress at the time took also special care with him, seeing the influence over Pierre tried to lead him to a more open mindset. Pierre of course resisted but with some tough love and gentle hand, as well as some help from Pierre's sisters, she managed to get through to Pierre.

Pierre changed, becoming more open and accepting, and learning from every new sources that were around him. He slowly managed to gain more friends becoming more popular, even more so as he became part of Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. The main sticking point still remained his mother who tried hard to revert him back as best as she could but he resisted, yet he did not cut ties. He wanted to change his mother as well, hoping to do more than his sisters and actually change the family from within.

Both Pierre's and mothers focus though was the new regime taking charge of the English ministry. Both seeing it a threat for different reasons, Pierre seeing it not to dissimilar than his parents while his mother saw it as too radical for her reactionary leanings. This may give both Mother and son common ground for their purposes.

Motivations: Elizabeth wants to travel around the world and see all of the non harmful magical creatures, and to rescue her mother if she is still alive.

Animagus: N/A

History
Backstory:
Elizabeth was born into a loving family, with a mother, father and an older brother by 3 years. Three years later and her younger sister was born. Her family lived with a Native American tribe, most of them were no-maj but they all knew that they were magical. At the age of five the tribe was attacked by a wizard who hated no-maj's. He led a few Hidebehind's to them and set them loose. Elizabeth watched in shock as all of her friends were killed. When one of the Hidebehind turned towards her she couldn't move or even make a sound because she was so scared. Luckily her mother pushed her out of the way and attacked it giving her family time to escape, sadly that was the last time Elizabeth saw her mother.

After the attack her father moved them to another state and tried to distract his children from what had happened. One of the ways he used was telling them stories about his time at Hogwarts. That succeeded in distracting Elizabeth until it was time for her to attend Ilvermorny.

When it was finally Elizabeth turn to attend the school she was excited. She couldn't wait to be sorted into her house and make friends. Finally when it was time for her to be sorted she stepped on the Gordian knot and three of the statues came alive. One was the horned serpent the jewel on its forhead shined. The second one was the Thunderbird whe flapped it's wings and the last one was the Pukwudgie who raised its arrow. Elizabeth felt that it was only right to choose the Thunderbird since she always loved to find an adventure anywhere.

In Elizabeth's third year she found out that her mother was still alive and made it one of her goal to go and rescue her, but to do that Elizabeth had to learn everything now that she could and hoped that her mother stayed alive in the time being. That also means that she didn't have much time to have with friends and spent most of that time studying. At the age of fifteen Elizabeth wanted to learn how to become an Animagus like her brother, but when she learned that if it went wrong you could be stuck forever as half animal half human she stopped. She didn't want to take the risk of that happening before she got to see her mother again.

When she was sixteen her father allowed her to get a tattoo, thankfully they knew a place where no-maj's were allowed.

Distinguishing Features: Always look as if he’s had much too little sleep.

Individualism:

Personality:
As a youth, Morty has always been fairly morose, and age has done little to temper that tendency. His inclination towards self-pity has been very self-destructive to his social life and standing at Hogwarts itself, and though his own critical and judgemental mind might excuse his personal failings, in arguing that exterior factors have been responsible for his lack of a clear social circle, in truth, his personality has proved incredibly off putting to most that might attempt to approach him.

Morty has a very weak grip on his emotions, leading to a short fuse and a powerful temper, though often this anger is channelled more into a general frustration than any kind of real aggression. His lack of interest in most aspects of magic has caused him to fall behind in most of his studies, though whilst he has proved fairly lacking magically, that does not mean that Morty is wholly stupid, even if he can sometimes be oblivious and bullheaded in certain circumstances.

In fact, creativity is where he really shines, and though his motivation is often limited by his own mental hangups, when he puts his mind to thinking outside of the box, he can often get unexpectedly positive results, as seen through his ability to cheat his way through most of his Hogwarts tests whilst avoiding detection for so long.

Strengths: Crafty, Creative, Adventurous, Loyal, Quick on his feet, Lateral Thinker, Independent, Amazing Memory.
Weaknesses: Volatile, Moody, Self-Involved, Insular, Unmotivated, Magically Inhibited, Argumentative, Stubborn, Low Standards.
Patronus: Tiger Moth
Boggart: A Totalled 1996 Ford Focus
Amortentia Scent: Single Malt Scotch Whiskey and Burning Firewood
Strongest Subjects: Charms
Weakest Subjects: Astronomy, DADA, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, Transfiguration
School Clubs: N/A

Thoughts on Competition: ‘I haven’t really been paying much attention to it, and honestly, I’m not sure I really know what the hell it’s about. I’ll let other people take the lead in that department, I don’t think I’m exactly the kind of person Hogwarts is looking for in a representative.’

Thoughts on Ministry: ‘I’m not sure that I’m allowed to make any comments on that, one way or another. I’d say you could probably come to your own conclusions about what I think, as long as you don’t go about sharing those conclusions with the Ministry itself.’

Motivations: Graduating from Hogwarts would mean the end of a rather peculiar period in Morty’s life, and though he had once been motivated purely by a desire to get through his final years at school with as minimal fuss as possible, the radical changes that Wizarding Britain has overgone over the past few years has put much of his future into question. With his limited academic prowess, and the disappearance of his well connected uncle, a man who had until this point consistently been able to stand up for him, Morty’s future has been called into question, and his current motivations have shifted in an even more humble direction than before: to find anything worthwhile for his future, and to cling to whatever that might be, for dear life.

History
Backstory:
Tragedy is something with which Morton Shankland became intimately acquainted with from the earliest part of his life: though at such a young age, the youth was never given much of an opportunity to process nor grieve the fundamental losses which he suffered. His mother had died in childbirth, passing away immediately after her son was brought into this world, whilst his father, Morton Shankland the Elder was involved in a serious car accident on the way to see his son in the hospital, leaving him comatose for almost two weeks, and eventually resulting in his death. The infant Morty was therefore passed on to the care of his father’s next of his kin, Morton Sr.’s estranged and eccentric elder brother: Archibald Shankland, who unbeknownst to his non-magical kin, had recently risen to the position of Head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes at the British Ministry for Magic.

Though the statute of secrecy legally forbid Archibald from imparting upon his ward any information about the magical world: due to Morty’s presumed non-magical nature, Archie Shankland had a reputation for being exceedingly loose lipped, and due to his position as a high ranking member of the Ministry, he would often pull strings in order to excuse himself from minor legal infractions. One such infraction being that Archie made very minimal effort to attempt to shield his nephew from viewing the magical world in its entirety. As such, a presumably non-magical Morty grew up with a fundamental knowledge of the existence of magic, even if little effort was made in order to properly integrate him fully into that world, causing the youth to develop a mental disconnect between himself, and the ideas of magic, a rift that would only grow more significant as he grew older.

Whilst Archie Shankland did his best to raise the youth right, it was quite clear from the beginning that the elder Shankland had never been cut out to be a parent: part of the reason why he had never endeavoured to have children of his own. Archie had a rather busy life as a Ministry official, and whilst his relative wealth meant that Morty would never want for anything in a material sense, the packed schedule brought about by a job in the highest echelons of wizarding society also meant that Archie never had much time for his nephew on a more personal level, leading Morty to develop into a lonely child, who was mostly raised by maids and house staff. That is not to say that the two Shanklands never interacted, though due to the perceived distance between them, there always seemed to be some sort of friction. Their relationship was one of incredibe highs, but also miserable lows, and whilst some of Morty’s fondest memories of his youth involve sitting upon his uncle's lap, by the fire, whilst Archibald drank scotch, and imparted stories from the ministry (most of which were supposed to be highly confidential), some of his harshest memories are about the bitter fights which he had with his uncle, when Archibald had had too much to drink, and admitted to some of the less savoury things which he had done in his position.

All of these issues were only compounded, when Archibald Shankland was officially elected to the office of Minister for Magic, ascending to the highest role in Wizarding Britain, which was both an honour that would allow Morty’s social class to raise greatly, yet also meant that the two of them spent even less time together. It was during this period in which Archie gifted his nephew a pet Rabbit, which Morty had named Hopscotch: a creature that would go on to become the only companion with which Morty would share his uncle's now mostly empty estate.

Though it had long been assumed, that as a son of the muggleborn Archibald’s muggle brother, and his muggle wife, Morty would bear no magical ability: upon his eleventh birthday, Morty received a letter which welcomed him into Hogwarts. Though his uncle seemed most pleased about this, Morty had no real attachment to the magical world, and instead felt very disconnected from it, and whilst for most going to Hogwarts might be seen as a great honour, Morty instead proved unimpressed by this world which he did not much view as his own.

In his first year, he was sorted into Ravenclaw House, a surprise considering he had never had much interest in actual academics, and his lack of prowess in most of his subjects led him to be ostracised by many of his intellectually and magically superior peers, or at least that was how Morty had viewed it, though in truth, his volatile and moody nature could be equally to blame.

Much of his time in Hogwarts when outside of lessons was spent exploring the vast castle and it’s grounds, and Morty grew quite adventurous in this period, even discovering the hidden Room of Requirement, which provided him with many things in his times of need. His first encounter with the Room had been just prior to an important Transfiguration test, and the Room had therefore taken the form of a forgotten classroom, bearing the evidence of hundreds of generations of slackers and cheaters that had attended school here since its establishment. Morty was able to use some of these tips and tricks to ace his Transfiguration test, and from that point on, the Room of Requirement became a crutch which Morty would utilise for a new habit of serial cheating, something which helped to make up for his otherwise unremarkable, and often subpar magical capabilities.

For Morty, cheating almost became an artform in itself, and sometimes he would even spend more time devising creative ways to cheat himself to the top than it would have taken to actually study the materials. He barely even paid much attention in classes, yet from the Room of Requirement, he learned all sorts of useful charms and hexes that could help him bypass most of the school systems of detecting cheating and trickery.

These underhanded methods were able to carry Morty through the majority of his time at Hogwarts, and helped to make his career at the school much easier than it might otherwise have been, though as the adage goes, cheaters never prosper, and eventually these bad habits finally caught up to Morty.

Headmistress McGonagall had discovered Morty’s use of the Room of Requirement just after Morty had completed his OWLS, and determined that the results he received were invalid and unfair upon other students who had taken the exams fairly. Morty was reprimanded, and likely would have been expelled entirely had his uncle, the Minister for Magic, not stepped in to save him at the last second. In the end, it was ordered that Morty be required to retake his OWLS over the summer, which was a less than appealing prospect for the young man, though once again, his uncle was able to step in to offer an unfair advantage: with the test papers which Morty was given remaining the same as those he had taken prior, and the boy was therefore able to pass them from memory, despite the issues which McGonagall and other Professors took with the unfair treatment.

At the same time that Archie had been pulling strings for his nephew, the Minister himself had been receiving heat, not only due to the practice of nepotism, but also for certain other abuses of power, and an inability to abide by wizarding laws on secrecy. Factions within the Ministry put pressure upon Shankland to appoint rising star: Magdalene Thorne as Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and upon receiving her new job, Thorne immediately launched an investigation into the Minister himself.

Evidence surfaced against Shankland that would ultimately result in Thorne issuing a warrant for his arrest, on charges of treason against the Wizarding World, though rather than face trial, Archibald fled abroad, his current whereabouts completely unknown, though his assets were seized by the Ministry not long after.

These massive shifts in his personal life have had major implications for Morty’s future, not only due to the surveillance that he has been put under in case his uncle attempts to contact him, but also due to the removal of his lifelong safety net. His uncle was no longer there to look out for him, and he was unable to rely upon the underhanded cheating that he had previously used to get ahead academically. With nowhere left to go after Hogwarts, Morty’s future now appears to be incredibly uncertain.

Misc:
Morty’s current wand is actually his second wand, his first: a stiff oak wand of 12 Inches, with a Dragon Heartstring core, was snapped in anger, by Morty himself, following the revelation of his cheating during his OWLS. His new wand is almost impossibly thick, and rigid, almost as if the wand itself was well aware of its predecessor’s fate, and wished to avoid a similar end. This wand resembles almost more a baton than it does a stick, and can leave a bruise if you’re hit with it.

From a very young age, Morty has cared for a rabbit called Hopscotch, which has accompanied him to Hogwarts. Due to the long amount of time they’ve spent together, Hopscotch is approaching an advanced age, and now spends much of its time sleeping in the common room, rather than doing anything exciting.

Headmistress McGonagall has been incredibly over forgiving of Morty and his poor behaviour, despite the fact he probably doesn’t deserve the leniency.

Eyes: Brilliant Emerald green
Hair: Bright Irish Red.
Skin: Pale and covered in reddish-brown freckles.
Height: 5”9
Weight: 122 lbs
Body Modifications: N/A
Distinguishing Features: The bright red hair and green eyes are typically a giveaway. That and the thick Irish accent.

~ Individualism ~

Personality: Some people call her “prickly”. She prefers, “fierce”.

In all seriousness, Johanna is a sarcastic young lady whom likes to present herself as a hardass who won’t take no shit. But one look behind that facade she’s just a nice person who wants to show people a good time. Whether that be with making them laugh through the use of cleverly timed sarcastic remarks, using her crude sense of humor to lighten the air in a room, or by getting your blood pumping with a thrilling display of Quidditch might. It doesn’t matter. She wants her friends to have a good time when she’s around.
Speaking of friends, she will die for them. Literally. She has been seen getting into fights for her friend’s benefit.

Strengths:
  • Flying, obviously.
  • Boundless Energy.
  • Physical prowess. Why rely only on wands and shit when you have your fists? Yeesh. Wizards.
  • Tactical. She is the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, so she has developed a skill for coming up with strategies and tactics that can be used to defeat opponents more formidable than her. As long as she has time to think.
Weaknesses:
  • Academics. “MATH. BUT WITH MAGIC???”
  • Forgetful. “What do you mean that was due today?”
  • Inattention. “I wasn’t listening, what did I agree to?”
Patronus: Barn Owl.
Boggart: A cage with a bird trapped inside, flapping around and squawking in a panic.
Strongest Subjects: Transfiguration, Charms, DADA, Flying.
Weakest Subjects: Potions, Magic History, Arithmancy, Herbology.
School Clubs: QUIDDITCH

Thoughts on the Competition:
“AHAHAHA. Wizards are so fookin weird! Hosting potentially deadly Wizard competitions for fun. Fookin stupid. I ain’t participating’ that’s for damn sure.”
Thoughts on the Ministry:
“I really don’t care. They’re the government. As long as they don’t start to execute Muggles like my ma then fine do whatever. Just leave my ma out of it.”
Motivations:
Johanna doesn’t really feel motivated to do particularly anything. Before hogwarts she had no clue as to what it was she wanted from life. No real aspirations or motivation to do anything. Now that she’s started and come up to the end of her time, she has figured out where she wants to go, and how she wants to get there- She plans to play for the Irish Quidditch team, professionally. Never saw herself going that direction before but hell, if you’re good at the game, might as well play it.

Animagus: Barn Owl, I would love.
Quidditch Position: Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Plays Seeker

~ History ~
Backstory:
Johanna Hayes was always an odd child.
Even before the owls, and the letters sealed with wax, and the magic and the broomsticks, and- you get the point.

Johanna from a young age was an off-the-wall crazy child with energy to run around the country. She was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder really quickly. It’s because of this that she never got along with other kids. Not to mention all the weird spooky stuff that happened around her when she got particularly upset.

Her mother is a cardiologist, and her father, rest his soul, was a journalist for the local paper back in Ireland. He was Joey’s best friend for all her life... and he died of leukemia the same year she received her letter to Hogwarts. Conveniently, Johanna’s mother received a very good job offer in England, so they were moving over there anyway. Would make the trip to 9 3/4 easier.

First three years there went about the same as grade school anywhere else- terribly. Johanna as a child and tween was a nightmare. Nobody liked her, she was just the weird Muggleborn with the weird Muggle disease, and very few people wanted to get anywhere near her.

Until she started Quidditch. Turns out Johanna made an absolutely stellar Seeker for the Gryffindor quidditch team. And with Quidditch as an outlet for all her pent up energy and a motivator to do well in her classes, things finally started to look up for her. She was making friends, doing better in classes, having a positive impact on those around her. Hers was a bit of a Muggleborn success story.

Now, everyone knows her at the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, and all-star athlete, and the idiot that in her first game, won a game of chicken with the veteran Slytherin Seeker, winning the match for Gryffindor.

Hair: Natural hair colour is black but always keeps it some shade of purple
Skin: White
Height: 4'11
Weight: 105lb
Body Modifications: Both ears pierced twice
Distinguishing Features: Heterochromia

Individualism:
Personality: Usually cool calculating person in public who doesn't let anything rattle her. If you go after her family though all bets are off and the cracks will definitely show her anger. She is incredibly proud of herself and her family. Its hard for her to open up to people and make friends and talk to people on personal level but, if you happen to peek her interest you will have a much easier time. Talks to people if she can gain something from the conversation being polite and somewhat warm. Around her friends and family she is cheeky and light hearted person loving a bit of mischief. Learning a new bit of awesome magic is also something that gets her blood pumping. Tends to switch off if she's bored. Is terrified of coming out as gay. Loves the water and any kind of water sport. Also loves Quidditch and punk music just as much as well as rock and roll. Hates her natural black hair colour though she would hate having her hair red more as she would look like a traffic light with her green and amber eyes.

Strengths:
  • Knows some Occlumency.
  • Excellent duellist (unconventional at times).
  • Great special awareness.
  • Creative prankster.
  • Highly dedicated and studios when she's interested in the subject.
  • Skilled on a broom.
  • Ambitious.
Weaknesses:
  • Only learns what she's interested in.
  • Overly sensitive about her family.
  • Finds it hard to open up to people.
  • Plans to far ahead.
  • Prideful.
  • Overly suspicious of people she doesn't know.
Patronus: Niffler
Boggart: Her uncle free and smiling at her
Strongest Subjects: DADA, Ancient Runes, Magizoology
Weakest Subjects: Astronomy, History of Magic, Divination
School Clubs: Dueling Club and Quidditch Team

Thoughts on the Competition: Well she would have preferred an inter school Quidditch Cup this is a ok second best. It beats having a regular school year.

Thoughts on the Ministry: Thinks there something seriously fishy going on as she doesn't believe that the heroes of Wizarding Britain could fall susceptible to the imperius curse. Having a ministry appointed official at all important areas and businesses just screams 'I'm taking over'. Striping away of wizarding culture and tradition is something that makes her feel sick and angry. Most worrisome is the closure of Ollivander's and the ministry wafting they can provide wands or equal quality which she in no way believes. In fact she thinks the ministry is purposely going to make less powerful and poorly made wands to keep the public in check.

Motivations: Wants to bring her house back to its former glory and restore its reputation. She plans to become a professional beater for as long as she can while helping her best friends joke shop business with endorsements and ideas when she has time. After her Quidditch career she wants to go into professional duelling where experience is more a factor then youthfulness. After she can't duel she wants to go into politics and bring back the family reputation. Of course she also wants to help expand her families business at the same time as all these other projects. Winning or placing well in this competition will go a long way in to improving her families reputation

Animagus: Hyena

Quidditch Position: Beater

History
Backstory: Bellatrixa was born in her families home located in magically hidden part of Jamaica they owned. The Jarsdel family was originally from Britain and they got into the magical hotel business centuries ago. The home they owned in Jamaica had one such hotel built on the same plot of land. Her branch of the family also owned two other magical hotels in the Caribbean with one being on the island of Barbados and the other being on Trinidad. Other branches of the family owned hotels in other parts of the world and the family as a whole had a reputation running some of the best magical hotels in the world. Her branch of the family also owned two Quidditch teams the Trinidad Typhoons and the Jamaica Giants so the family was very well off and were mostly free to pursue there interests without having to worry about money.

Growing up was absolutely wonderful for Bellatrixa as her parents only had to work a few days a week. On the days they were busy she would spend time with her great grandfather who would tell her all about magic and occasionally stories when she got bored. Sometimes when he was feeling up to it he would take her to the beach or some other nice place. Her parents being much more active would often take Bellatrixa surfing, snorkelling and sailing. Though her parents made sure that she got a leg up on her magical education as they couldn't have their daughter looking like an idiot. Her parents also made sure she had teachers for English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. The French would was due to her mothers heritage French heritage. They were also very useful Languages to know in the Caribbean especially if she intended to go to Castelobruxo. If Bellatrixa did well in her studies they would go to a Caribbean League Quidditch match though occasionally they went to a few matches in the Americas as Bellatrixa was always motivated if the reward was Quidditch. Occasionally they played Quidditch as a family especially when her cousins came round. It should also be noted that ever since Bellatrixa has been old enough to talk they had to attend every World Cup or face their daughters disappointment. Occasionally they would visit Bellatrixa's aunts, uncles and cousins who lived near and ran the other two hotels in the Caribbean. Of course the family got together every Christmas. Bellatrixa and her mother also had to make time to visit her mothers distant French relatives in the Veela community. It was sad how her mother didn't have any close relatives left but at least her distant relatives where happy to welcome them both in. The trips were also necessary as her mother needed their help in order to teach Bellatrixa how to control her Allure.

It wasn't until age ten that Bellatrixa realised that things weren't entirely perfect for her family. It seemed like a perfectly normal day visiting the beach attached to the hotel. Bellatrixa was building a sand castle when some British kid came over who was around her age and said he liked her sand castle and asked if he could help. They got chatting as they built and eventually they had to go and they realised they hadn't told each other there names so they could owl each other if they didn't see each other again. When Bellatrixa said her name the boy freaked out and punched her in the face and she was knocked to the floor. After that the boy ran away and she did the same except there were tears in her eyes. When Bellatrixa got home and asked her parents why the boy would punch her because of her name they were hesitant to respond. In the end they told her that they would talk about this tomorrow as they weren't sure how to put things.

The next day it wasn't her parents who she was sat down with but her great grandfather. He explained to her that since he was partly to blame it was only fair that he be the one to explain and his story was the first story in a long line of stories. So her great grandfather told Bellatrixa about him joining Grindelwald in the 1930s and how he was later captured at the end of the war. He admitted that he had called in every favour they had and how he had to sell their Ancestral home in Cornwall in order to bribe enough people. In the end his confession under veritaserum were he admitted to helping children escape the fighting whenever he could do so without alerting his comrades. So he was free but the families reputation was unsalvageable in Europe so they left for the Caribbean were they could salvage their reputation. He admits more money had to be flung about and several politicians hands shaken had to be shaken as well as a few favours being handed out.

The next blow to the families reputation happened when Bellatrixa's grandfather went to England to visit some of the few allies they had left. It was always good to visit especially when England was in the midst of war. It was 1980 when he went so it was looking particularly grim at the time. Family aren't sure what exactly happened to him exactly as his letters were few and far between and he was supposed to be gone for a month. His last letter talked about how he was going to go for a shop in Diagon Alley to arrange magical transport back home and maybe pick up a few things not found in the Caribbean. The next thing they heard about was that he had been killed by Aurors while wearing robes that had been transfigured to look like Death Eater robes. The fact that they were transfigured robes should have caused them to investigate more but in the end they took it as a win and printed his name in the paper and called him an unmarked Death Eater. It killed what pull they had in England and dragged there name through the mud and they couldn't do a thing about it. The family has always said that some Death Eaters must of transfigured his robes in order to escape. It was very unlucky her grandfather was bad at transfiguration in general so couldn't reverse it. Her uncle couldn't take and wouldn't accept his farther died for nothing. He ended up joining Voldemort during his second rise and was captured after the dark lord was defeated for good. Three generations of bad reputation was a lot to live down. Plus her grandfather explained how Bellatrixa's name was very similar to a well known Death Eaters name.

It took several days for Bellatrixa to process all her emotions about what she had been told. She understood her great grandfather to some extent though disagreed with him that wizards should rule over muggles. Her great grandfather admitted it was probably a bad idea and commented that it would never work in this day and age. He may have also mumbled something about being a young foolish brat back then. Eventually she came to that she still loved her great grandfather and that he had paid for his crime. She was both saddened and enraged by what happened to her grandfather. It really put a desire in her heart to help the family reach its full height again. Knowing that she had an uncle in Azkaban was really frightening to her and she had nightmares about him coming to visit and taking over the family.

When her school letter arrived Bellatrixa was excited as can be though she might not have been so excited had she realised all the prep work her parents and great grandfather would put her through. Bellatrixa was even given some lessons on occlumency as her great grandfather insisted it was good for the mind and would at least help her to keep her and the families secrets. She had some of the basics down by the time she had to leave.

Arriving at school she was thinking about all the friends she was going to make but things didn't happen the way they did in her head. In fact she realised that she couldn't open up as she just remembered that day at the beach and that boys hurtful rejection. It also didn't help that her Veela part was making the guys stare a bit to much for her to ignore. The girls her age were all to jealous to speak to her except for her future best friend Ashley who was a muggleborn from the Falklands. They were the two outcasts who just found themselves naturally hanging around the edges together. Eventually Ashley ended up taking to Bellatrixa first and introduced her to muggle punk and she just loved the music and the look. Ashley also tried to get Bellatrixa to like comic books but she only liked a select few. One day they were hanging out and some snooty girl was mean to another first year and they decided to take the girl down a peg. Ever since then they have been known as pranksters and they just loved pushing their creativity together. To make some extra money they would prank specific people for the right price. When she got home her family weren't happy with the Bellatrixa's new hair but they calmed down when they realised the two girls were inseparable and trying to do so would just end badly for them. Besides her great grandfather was rather impressed with some of the pranks they made.

In third year they both took up Quidditch and got a major boost in popularity. Ashley played keeper while Bellatrixa played beater. There wasn't a player in the game who wasn't afraid of Bellatrixa knocking them clean out. It didn't help that most the Male players could hardly keep their eyes of her. One of the last major developments was her great grandfather teaching Bellatrixa the Animagus transformation as she wanted to know what creature she would be. She hoped for something useful and ended up with a hyena which her great grandfather said soothes her especially with her hair. She also started learning haitian as there is a rich magical history to it. The last major development is Bellatrixa going of to the tournament.

Name: Evangeline Prosperina Burke
Nickname(s): Evie ( Commonly used by her classmates and those around her. Though, Evangeline holds no real connection to it )
Poppy ( Dubbed by dadó ( granda ), no one else is allowed to call her by this name )
Persy/Percy; a name her twin teases and call her by. While her middle name is 'Prosperina', her twin finds it a bit too 'snooty and 'posh' for her and prefers 'Persephone', hence 'Persy' or 'Percy'.
School: Hogwarts
House: Slytherin
Age: Eighteen
Blood Status: Pureblood

Ethnicity: British and Irish
Sexuality: Bisexual

Eyes: They say 'eyes' are the windows to the soul and what's more awe-inducing is the storm hidden within her eyes. Wherever the light hits, Evangeline's eyes are forest green in hue with a hint of yellow. While imitations of her mother's, her brother's are fairly the same, except more distinct and sharper than hers with an almost glint of pride and fearlessness.
Hair: Evangeline's brunette hair falls 'til her mid-back, usually let-down and rarely 'put up' unless she uses a band to assist in keeping her hair out of her face and line of vision when she's meticulously working on something.
Skin: Skin as fair, and white as snow. . . , it is easy to see purple and blue pigments on her skin when it is cold, specifically on her fingers and toes. Delicate to touch, almost like a snowflake, Evangeline can bruise easily. Her mother scolds her often for not being careful. It isn't 'fit for a lady to be littered with markings on her arms or so she says.
Height: Average in stature, Evangeline is neither too tall nor too short, but just right. However, compared to her older twin, she stands right under his broad shoulder, not surpassing his chest. While not one to admit or display outward affections, she feels comfort and protection when he is by her side.
Weight: The young witch appears slim and form-fitting. While Evangeline doesn't indulge herself in sweets and food often, she does love different types of drinks and enjoys trying new ones.
Body Modifications: The only body 'modification' Evangeline has is ear-piercings.
Distinguishing Features: Lips as red as blood... , she rarely wears make-up, however, her choice of lip gloss is shimmery and lipstick is red. But, if Evangeline had to choose what is her most distinguished feature, it would be her jawline and thick, soft arched brows.
Face Claim: Only in some features and appearance, Evangeline resembles the model Antonina Vasylchenko
— PERSONA.
Personality: To an outsider, Evangeline appears demure, reserved, and hard-to-approach. Moreover, Evangeline rarely makes small talk, not one to approach others first. With a slight cutting edge to her words, Evangeline is sassy and straightforward. She isn't afraid to banter and actually loves it. Despite being not so quick to anger, her brother is a touchy subject. Whether the comments are insults or an afterthought, Evangeline takes it to heart. Her twin, afterall, is part of her and her mother refuses to let her forget it.

But, compared to her brother, Evangeline is more playful with childish naivety when it comes to all things magic. She freely expresses herself through her spells, leaving hints of her emotions and thoughts in them. A believer of actions rather than words, Evangeline is observant and carefully watches others through how they express themselves and any quirks they have such as nervous twitches, etc.

However, because of Evangeline's attention to details, she may use it as a tactic to win over her opponents. While others may see it as underhanded, even cunning, Evangeline brushes it off, believing it's always best to lay in wait before diving head first into a situation. But, a word of caution: don't poke the sleeping snake. Mischievous and scheming at best, Evangeline likes to pull pranks on others. However, she would never stoop low as to cheat or harm another witch or wizard. It's not worth getting expelled for.

Of course, because of her behavior, this brings annoyance and ire to her brother, usually being the one at the forefront of her pranks. But, if one had to choose the lesser "evil", Evangeline is more compliant and easier to deal with than Theodore. While Evangeline will never say 'no' to a challenge, she doesn't 'assist' others freely. Instead, she prefers to make deals and questions, What's in it for me? Regardless, no matter the task, Evangeline puts her all in it. It's all or nothing with Evangeline and she expects the same from others.

Although she would never admit it, Evangeline is dependent on her brother. His presence keeps her calm, knowing he has her back. However, she's quick to panic and loses her composure when she feels abandoned in a sea of people. While Evangeline is by no means 'nice' or 'friendly', she prefers to go at her own pace and hates being forced to mingle with others when she doesn't want to.

Regardless, due to her lineage, she can't avoid people forever and faces many challenges - whether it's her mother's teachings or pressure from her father, it shapes how she thinks and acts. Because of this, there's a rare few that she can trust and openly be herself around. Careful in her speech and actions, Evangeline is pressured to "be" the witch her mother never could be - the best of the best. But, the fight to the top is always a lonely travel.

Strengths: "Don't rain on my parade." Evangeline refuses to enable others, not allowing them to get under her skin, and ignores their insults. She's clever and quick-witted, able to hold and stand her ground. While Evangeline faces prejudice because of her lineage, she doesn't explain herself and her motives. Moreover, she finds that those who believe her when all else fails would be true to her. And it's genuine when she finds them.

"It's not enough to survive, live." Truer words have never been spoken. A wise man once told her to live even if the world was against her. And she did. Evangeline doesn't turn her back on her word. Resilient and independent, she's brilliant and understands the hidden meaning behind them.

"Actions speak louder than words." Evangeline prefers honesty in actions rather than silvery-tongued words. Not one to trust empty promises, Evangeline is one to take action. If she says she will do something, she will. She rarely takes back her words - even if she regrets it later. Furthermore, it's not a secret that her family's often 'bribed' and sought out when it comes to making deals.

"Curiouser and curiouser." Often curious about the magical world and all it has to offer, Evangeline finds joy in all things traditional - such as magic robes, magic shops, Ollivander's, Diagon Alley, etc. However, due to the Ministry's ban on any 'traditional wizardry' in public spaces, Evangeline scorns it. Her heart belongs to the Wizarding World. She's not about to let it disappear altogether. She's proud of who she is. There shouldn't be anything getting in her way of it.

Weaknesses: "Be careful what you wish for." A learned lesson but also a mantra Evangeline ultimately lives by. However, she isn't fearful of giving back what others deserve. While Evangeline doesn't act on vengeance most of the time, she's fond of pulling 'harmless' pranks on others. Whether it's for her amusement or due to annoyance, Evangeline finds fun in joking around. But, she often feels eyes watching her and displeasure from her brother whenever she starts to 'act' out.

"It's all fun and games until.." Although Evangeline knows her actions have consequences, there are times her impulsiveness wins her over and can cause her to get into some trouble. While her mother scolds her often, her brother usually warns her. There is a thin line since accidents can occur.

"I swear if you hurt him, If you hurt my brother, I'll kill you." While it sounds like empty threats to most, Evangeline should never tell a lie or so help her. Fiercely protective of her brother, Evangeline would go to great lengths to aid him whether it crosses her 'moral' compass or not. She would do absolutely anything for him.

"I'll do it because I can. I can because I want to. I want because I need to." Obvious to her brother, Evangeline is often compared to him in stealth, smarts, and charm. But, it's not all that can tick her off but her inferiority complex. Whether it is 'inherent' ( she likes to blame her mother ) or her personal experiences, it can cause her to brash and rebellious, especially against those who look down on her. Although she says she isn't superstitious, Evangeline can be a paradox, doing one thing but saying another.

Thoughts on the Competition: At first, Evangeline held no interest in the tournament. However, with a turn-of-events, to fulfill her brother's wishes, she's entering. While her mother is living vicariously through her and her father wants to use her as his pawn to gain more strength, Evangeline is only true to herself and her brother. If winning the competition meant 'killing' two birds with one stone, so be it. Besides, she wishes to learn more about other cultures and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Thoughts on the Ministry: "Want to know my thoughts? Bring a Legilimens and then you'll know." Quite tight-lipped about her thoughts on the ministry, Evangeline feels it's obvious as to her thoughts on it. But, perhaps she needs to spell it out for them.
Motivations: Evangeline wishes to change and act upon her own desires and wishes. Whether it's wishful thinking or her stubborn naivety, Evangeline wants to uncover the secrets and hidden deceptions behind closed doors. Although in the process she may gain enemies and will be misjudged, the end justifies the means.

Evangeline can't pinpoint [1] exact occupation she would like to pursure. Instead, she prefers to live in the moment and in the now. Since she doesn't know exactly how long she has to live, she wants to make the best of it. Living for herself and finding freedom from everything would be a d r e a m, but for now, she's focused on her tasked at hand - winning the tournament and successfully graduating Hogwarts.
— MAGIC
Wand Wood: Hazel
Hazel wands often reflect its owner’s emotional state and work best for a master who understands and can manage their own feelings. Others should be very careful handling a hazel wand if its owner has recently lost their temper, or suffered a serious disappointment because the wand will absorb such energy and discharge it unpredictably. It is capable of outstanding magic in the hands of the skilful and is so devoted to its owner that it often ‘wilts’ at the end of their master's life. Hazel wands also have the unique ability to detect water underground and will emit silvery, tear-shaped puffs of smoke if passing over concealed springs and wells.

— BACKGROUND.
Raised in one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight pureblood families with ties to a proud, rich, influential Irish pureblood line, Evangeline and her older twin brother Theodore had all eyes on them from both families. Although they were not as old and more affluent as some of the other families in the British Wizarding World, the Burke family name runs deep in the line and has some power. As cunning and clever, the Burke's more rumoured power came into play due to their hidden knowledge, values, schemes, and deception. If a member of a more powerful family, those above them, needed aid, they would heed their call. And that's what they always were, second best. But, that isn't enough, is it?

Background:
I am my mother's savage daughter,
the one who runs barefoot, cursing sharp stones

- Wyndreth Berginsdottir

Carlyle Burke and Aoife McCarthy met through unlikely circumstances. Out of all of the witches and wizards attending Hogwarts, the two chose each other as their partner. Whether they caught each other's attention because of a clever scheme pulled during class one day or one of them saved each other from a jinx, the two found their soulmate. If they had love for each other or love for power is unclear, but they matched.

Aoife went through her years under the radar undetected while Carlyle showed off his influence whenever he got the chance, they found something in the other that they both needed. While their relations were acquaintances at best, challenging each other through charms, duels, etc., Aoife only continued to proved herself valuable to Carlyle. Living through pretenses, the two found a worthy opponent with one another. As they danced a game of cat and mouse, they finally married and both gained merit, status, and assets.

The unity between the McCarthys and Burke gave rise to the family's ambition to continue climbing the ladders and their need to become more successful than their predecessors and those above them. Aoife's husband was an Unspeakable for the Ministry, keeping a close eye on the government whenever able. To the outside world, they were proud and upheld their pureblood supremacy in secrecy. To both Aoife and Carlyle, through any means, they will achieve their goals, even if it means 'bowing' down in the meantime and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. It was a carefully sought out plan, this also included 'heirs'. Aoife dictated and planned her pregnancy every step of the way, using her divination and prophetic abilities.

Labor took longer than Aoife wanted, from morning to night. Finally cries echoed in the household and whatever pain Aoife felt vanished momentarily as she looked upon her child. However, what she didn't expect was to bear not one child but two. Twins, they were and they resembled her except from their hair. Aoife couldn't help but smile in that moment, feeling a sense of pride and hope knowing she had a "two for one" deal. If she couldn't get what she wanted in her lifetime, she decided she would live vicariously through her children, monitoring their every move.

However, as fate would have it, destiny had other plans for her children. Two souls united as one, through magic or inherent birth, the blood curse returned. Tracing back to Aoife's ancestor, the curse runs through their veins and resurfaced in both Evangeline and Theodore. When Theodore was well, Evangeline was sick. When Evangeline was well, Theodore was sick. Like sun and moon, the two were inseparable and as close as can be. Together, they were strong, apart they were weak.

These ailments caused and fueled Carlyle's anger, finding the children to be "omens" and believed Aoife's blood was no longer pure. However, after countless travels, research, and visits to people that shouldn't be named and words that shouldn't be uttered, Carlyle slowly tamed his anger and decided to fiercely teach his children how to grow in their powers and use their illness for strength. Carlyle vowed to never let word get out of his children's ailment and decided to teach them how to be useful. But, in secret, Aoife never stopped looking for an answer to her children's predicament. She was ruthless and cruel, using every method she could find and experimented. Through trying to create and find the Philosopher's Stone to madly searching for clues about Horcruxes, Aoife was relentless.

Time passed and Evangeline's childhood was filled with different outings to monumental and important places her father and mother deemed necessary that she knew. Some places included places her mother attempted rituals and spells on both Theodore and Evangeline and kept secret from Carlyle. Nevertheless, the places Carlyle sent his children were filled with dark artefacts and hidden secrets were always found in these rooms. Wenever she asked about the nature of them, her father would always scold her to speak discreetly and quietly. Her brother, on the other hand, was a favorite. He only questioned things on a need-to-know basis but Evangeline couldn't help her curiosity.

Regardless, Evangeline's times were spent with countless tutors on different subjects about the Wizarding World. Books would pile up from end of the room to the next. Of course, there were times Evangeline would attempt to sneak away from her studies, only to be caught and given her punishment for disobeying. Living under watchful eyes with strict teachings, Evangeline's only solace was with her brother and her dadó ( granda ) whenever he visited.

Dadó told stories about the forest, faes, and folklores of Ireland. Naturally, it intrigued her wholly. While her brother would scorn at these "fairytales" as he would call them, Evangeline listened intently and fully to them. Although Theo would tease her about her love for all things 'magic', he secretly enjoys listening to the stories.

While Evangeline and Theodore's upbringing could horribly scar and wound someone, the two Burke twins were taught how to survive despite Dadó continuously repeating that they must live for themselves and not their parents. However, it was hard to get away from her mother's tight grip and her father's hold.

As the twins grew older, Hogwarts eventually became a "home" away from "home". The Burke twins were both sorted into Slytherin and Evangeline always had a jolly good ol' time pranking her housemates, especially when it was unsuspecting victims. In classes, she was attentive, especially to classes she loved. But those she didn't, she zoned off often, doodling with her ink and quill, creating different wand ideas that'll strengthen enchanted spells. During holidays, Evangeline and Theodore would return to Ireland to find Dadó rather than return to their parents. Dadó always had their back and she was grateful for him. With Dadó, they went on more exciting and fun adventures, finding fairy circles, and feeling the magic in the soils.

However, as the rules and laws changed, so did Evangeline's patience for banning traditional wizardlike items, shops, and magic in public spaces that were supposed to be deemed safe for wizards to roam. With the pulling back of her tradition as a witch, Evangeline felt she was losing a part of herself. Although Theodore always brushed her off for being dramatic, he too, felt the natural shift of energy and feeling of freedom.

Because of this, Evangeline took her anger out during quidditch match practices, releasing all the tension and stress she was feeling from losing who she was and eventually wanted to become. Although Evangeline acted out in closed quarters, especially during the summer before her 7th year, her temper slowly eased when her brother started to get sicker and sicker.

Worry continued to cross her mind and features as she felt in her bones something was wrong. While the Ministry allowed the tournament to continue, Evangeline felt anger towards everyone around her for not being able to aid her brother. But, because of her brother's words, Evangeline finds herself participating in the tournament. However, it would be the first time since. . . well . . never that she would be going back to Hogwarts without her brother at her side. She knew, it would certainly be noticeable to not see Theodore with her.

Ailment: Blood Malediction, passed down from her mother's ancestry, resurfacing in the twins.
Extra: Family Tree
Evangeline, when she's not having Quidditch practice matches and perfecting charms and spells, loves art. She finds comfort in drawing and painting. Her interest expands to wandmaking and wandlore which includes picking wand wood and cores. However, since the Ministry has influence in choosing wands rather than Ollivander, she keeps this a secret.
While her great-grandfather may have been a co-owner of Borgins & Burke's, Theodore attends to those matters behind-the-scenes, having great affinity for uncovering artefacts and runes.
Not an official name on her birth certificate, Aoife’s family prefers to call Evangeline by “Saoirse”, to honor their Irish roots.

Thoughts on the Ministry: Kauê doesn't really trust the ministry, after what had happened the last couple of years, is pretty obvious they are not saying everything they know which makes him feel uneasy about the possible outcome of their actions, but he wouldn't really show up their distrust on the institution after all is better to keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
