Elentiya clutched the bleeding wound on her cheek, cursing herself for being such a coward. She was part wolf! She should be able to put herself between the crazy wolf lady and her classmates. She wanted to be able to do that. Instead, she stood here cowering. She should have been part mouse.

When the blue-haired lady appeared, Elie felt nothing but relief. Finally, this god awful fight was over! When the giraffe girl started walking, Elie stood uncertain. Should she follow this stranger? The red haired girl had told her not to move... She bites her lip, torn between following and staying like she was told. Eventually, when the group is almost up the street, she breaks her motionlessness. Sprinting, she runs to catch up with the group.

As they are led into the courtyard, Elie immediately starts looking around. She hops from foot to foot as the giraffe lady - Lena she said her name was? - started explaining what was going on. Elie didn't pay much attention. She felt and looked like a kid in a candy shop. This was something you read about im books! The fact that she was here? She didn't care much how it happened, but it was amazing!

Lena sat them down before fetching the medic and two other girls. As the deer girl begins speaking softly, the girl, with the large orange butterfly wings approaches her. She studies Elie's body before handing her a light blue romper that falls to her mid-thigh. Along with it comes a pair of old-fashioned leather sandals. Like those the greeks and romans used to wear. Elie studies the clothes as the butterfly girl moves on to the next person.

Soon, the deer girl - Faith? There were so many new names... - led them up to the church where she explained the accomodations being provided for them. Then, she left them to their own devices. She stood there, uncertain. Should she help these people, or stay neutral? What happens if she freezes up again? She knows for sure she won't be joining those guards... unless... No. Certainly not. With a soft growl, she turns and leaves the church to find this Rebel leader. Elie was going to help. No matter what.

When she finally found the Rebel leader, she said, "I am Elentiya. I want to help." The leader looked at her, slowly circling around to study her. "Elentiya, hm? 'The spirit who could not be broken'. I have a feeling that is fitting. Well, you are a predator, Elentiya, so we will have to train you as a soldier. Go find the Captain at the barracks behind the church, she will explain more about your position." With that, she turns back to her work, clearly dismissing Elie.

Elie lets out a held breath as she leaves. She is now officially part of the Rebellion.

Jade could feel a pair of eyes on her, and she couldn’t help but tilt her head slightly to meet Julissa’s gaze. Giving her a once over before smirking slightly, she ran her fingers through her hair to move away from the shorter. Jade watched as the wolf ran off, her eyes squinting as she watched where she ran off to.

Jade never was the type to engage in such affairs, accepting clothes from strangers. But clearly the butterfly woman knew what she was doing when she handed Jade a bandeau and cargo pants. They were both colored dark, matching her set aesthetic.

Thanking the woman quietly, she followed behind the group, changing as she had some privacy. After finally releasing her wings from their binds, Jade allowed them to stretch out.

Letting her gold eyes sweep over the others, she felt a pull in her stomach. Her mind was racing as she remembered where the wolf had taken off to. So instead of staying with the group, she allowed her heart the pleasure of seeking out this mystery.

Jade was glad she kept her sneakers on, the hike to wherever the hell the wolf went was rocky, hard for her to climb up. She knew she still didn’t have control of the wings that relaxed against her back, so Jade knew not to risk attempting to use them.

Stopping in her tracks, Jade’ eyes spotted the small, cottage like building a couple hundred yards away. Hoping to be able to take refuge there for the night, she took off in a jog.

Huffing quietly as she approached the cottage, Jade laid a hand on one of the supporting walls to catch her breath. Turning her head slightly, the girls eyes widened. Jade spotted the wolf from earlier, Lizabetta, from outside the window.

Practically throwing herself to the ground to hide beneath the ledge of the window, Jade let out a breath, praying to whatever God there was to keep her alive in this situation.

Sarah was received to see the wolf gone, and then she noticed a small figure on the top of a roof, she looked very cute, she walked up to the house, and said, "Hi there, What are you doing up there?" she put a hand over her forehead to block from the sun. Sarah backed up a bit, and her wings flared, creating a a gust of wind.

She looked around a bit, looking at the town, and the trees, then saw a huge castle at the top of a hill. She was curiously staring at it, like it meant something to her, she blinked it off, and looked back at the girl on the roof, noticing her round ears and tail, she was guessing that she was a monkey. A monkey, she thought to herself, how interesting, maybe she can swing from vines and stuff like actual monkeys do.

Sarah felt the wind on her ears, making her feel calm, and the wind running through her feathers, so gentle, she thought. She touched her arm, running her hand down it, feeling the fur, so soft, she thought. Maybe I can run faster she thought. She gently brushed herbal against her legs, touching the palm of her paws, her focus was still on the monkey, but her paws felt so different, her claws were very sharp, just enough that even the siltiest touch would make a small mark.

Sebastian had been standing there for awhile now watching and observing the wolf girl. He noticed one of his classmates standing behind him, but he didn’t say anything. He just stood his ground. Though something did surprise him, he looked towards the other dude finding out it was one of his class mates. Who some how had changed gender. A huge surprise to him. But not the time for one of Sebastians sarcastic comments.

As time went on the wolf girl and others left leaving the group with the town folk and rebellion. Though Sebastian didn’t stay with them. Instead he sneaked away from the group and followed the wolf. After all she mentioned something about a king, Perhaps Sebastian could create some sort of status for himself. Like he had at home with his family.

But then again, she was threatening so perhaps the wolf would kill him, but it was a risk worth taking. Though the path to the castle wasn’t a very nice one. Sebastian wasn’t in the appropriate clothing for this type of adventure after all, and that was the main thing on his mind at that moment. He let out large huffs while he walked through the dirt, disgusted by the dirt getting on his clothing.

Arriving at the castle Sebastian continued to follow the wolf . He took a deep breath trying not to be caught. He tried to use his new instincts, and hoped he was using them right. Trying his best not to get noticed. He followed the wolf to where the rabbit was. Though before he knew it, he was spooked by somebody else who had decided to follow the path he had. He quickly covered his mouth trying not to yell to alert the guards. “What the hell are you doing here. ! “ Sebastian whispered with a stern tone.

Today began like any other.

Astraeus began his shift at Joel's Convenience Store just like every other weekday, taking over from the graveyard shift at 5:00 a.m. and relieving the previous employee with a synchronized yawn and wave as they exchanged positions. He clocked in with a sigh, slipping one hand into the pocket of his olive cargo shorts after shrugging off his navy, faux fur-lined coat, tossed to the counter in favor of his steaming latte. He brought the beverage to his pierced lip and flicked his pale blue eyes toward the store windows, watching the sun begin to rise as he sipped the caffeine and swallowed the scalding liquid with a grimace. Despite the dark circles that were ever-present on his slender face, he quite enjoyed seeing the sunrise every morning, the myriad of pinks and oranges coloring the sky in a beautiful array one could never get used to.

After a rather uneventful couple of hours of twiddling his thumbs, ringing up one or two oddly dressed customers, and trying desperately not to fall asleep, Astra took his lunch break, nodding to one of his co-workers to let them know before entering the break room. The air conditioning in the store was always too low, forcing anyone seated for lunch to bring a blanket or coat - thankfully, Astra always came prepared. He pulled his warm coat back over his band T-shirt and pulled out his ponytail, letting his bright blue locks fall to his shoulders as he prepared for lunch. Sadly, he would never get to eat the roll of sushi his mother made for him. What felt like the ground trembling below his feet made him let out a startled shout and glance down, his eyes widening at the spectacle of the ground opening up beneath him. It quickly swallowed him and his chair whole, a scream escaping his lips before being cut off as the gaping hole in the tile closed, his food abandoned and the rest of his shift incomplete. Moments later the chair popped back into the room, but not the person who had previously occupied it.

Present

Astraeus woke with a gasp, his vision blurred and his senses overwhelmed as he grasped his chest, feeling for the locker his mother had given him as a child. Feeling its presence beneath his shirt, as well as something fluffy, he let out a sigh of relief, closing his eyes and focusing on his breathing for a couple of moments, giving himself time to adjust. After a few more seconds, he opened his eyes once more to bright sunlight and clouds dotting the sky, passing through as they normally would. Why...am I outside? The blue-haired male asked himself, moving to sit up with a groan - he'd hit his head rather hard, enough for the world to start spinning again. After another moment of shutting his eyes tightly, he blinked them open and looked around, seeing a handful of somewhat recognizable faces; these were his classmates from Ancient History. He'd been taking the class as a requirement for his degree, though the musical aspect of the past intrigued him.

However, the animalistic qualities certainly weren't something he recalled, and that would have certainly been significant enough to remember. There was a girl who looked part lion, another who had enormous, white, polka-dotted wings - perhaps an owl? - another few with wolf-like qualities, and several others he couldn't bring himself to pick off in his head, for he was too busy staring at his own legs in disbelief. They were covered in white and blue fur, bowed back like a horse's legs, and at the end he had...hooves. Resisting the urge to panic once more, he reached out with a trembling hand to touch his right thigh, feeling the fur and verifying that this was indeed reality. Before he could scream, someone spoke up: the girl looked like a giraffe! She began dragging the lion girl toward the town, warning them of the dangers outside the wall. Astra glanced around, finally taking in the actual surroundings.

The land appeared to be quite beautiful with the gorgeous foliage combined with the lovely weather. The walls the giraffe girl referred to appeared to be rather worn down, presumably by erosion over the years. Beyond the wall was a small amount of field, where he and his classmates popped into existence, and past them...clouds. For miles and miles (kilometers and kilometers), all he could see were thick, fluffy clouds, nothing more. Astra turned his head back to the giraffe girl, idly watching them interact as he noticed the difference in the weight of his head; it felt heavier, and his hair was significantly longer, draping down his back and resting on the grassy terrain. He reached up with one hand to smooth down his hair (it was a soothing action that helped him calm down since he was young), only to find two curved horns atop his head. His realization was confirmed - he was a fucking goat.

In more accurate terms, it appeared he was a satyr, a mythical being he learned about from Greek mythology. Not so mythical now, I guess... he thought sarcastically, moving to stand up until he felt a fearful presence that made him freeze, every bone filled with terror. His transformation gave him the fear a prey feels when being hunted by a predator, but also a feeling of defiance. Goats often used their horns when threatened, so maybe that was it. Still, he remained completely still, watching the events unfurl. Some sort of villain pursued the giraffe girl, leading her to the college students. This villain wanted to kill them all, and possibly killed the cat boy, but two...protectors, of some sort, stepped in and chased her away before she could cause more damage. Astra had awoken beneath a tree at the edge of the group, his gaze glued to the others until everyone began to follow the giraffe girl. He followed suit but remained at the back of the group with a wary expression.

They walked a long while before coming upon a church that appeared to be in the center of this city, spiraling toward the sky with beautiful, marbled architecture that certainly wasn't from the year 2020. The giraffe girl that led them to the town square announced her name as Lena before pointing out where medical aid could be found as well as addressing who the frightening woman was and what was going on in their surroundings. The details were difficult to follow, as the reality of being part animal with a bunch of other part-animal classmates was still rather insane to absorb all at once. Regardless, he continued to walk with the group into the churchyard, admiring the large pond in the center of the area before entering the massive church building itself. Lena addressed their attire, which was understandable, as they were clearly in a medieval age. The whole situation reminded Astra of some isekai anime, so for now he would just go with the flow as best he could.

Young females from the church - apparently part deer and part butterfly - approached with spare clothing for the students to change into. The fauna, Faith, handed him a long-sleeved, white, cotton shirt, white cropped pants that went down to where his knees...used to be, and a blue tunic with a brown sash that jingled when moved. He nodded in thanks, offering her a smile that would have warmed the heart of any other. At the sound of talking to a rebellion leader about what to do next, Astra's ears perked up - wait. He reached up and let out a groan as he felt his long, draped ears that ended in a black point, even furthering his point that he was part goat. He took the clothes and entered the nearest room offered to them, beginning to change immediately.

For the time being it was empty save for an ajar wardrobe with some clothing stuffed into it, which was fine - he stripped every last article of clothing from his body, determined to see the effects of this massive change. He had an incredibly long tail with a large tuft of fur at the end, his hair went down to his lower back, his horns were rather tall and pointed, he had a big white tuft of fur on his chest, and he had enormous, furry legs with hooves at the end. Wonderful. He donned his clothes (see left image) and exited the room, glancing around the hall to see where he could go to ask more questions and look into the whereabouts of this 'rebellion.'

Astra made his way down one of the spiral staircases to the main hall of the church and recognized the blue-haired female he saw outside near the crumbling walls. She was the one referred to as "boss" and was also responsible for scaring the villainous wolf woman away, so she seemed like a good person to start with. He made his way over to her, his gait having a slight wobble like a newborn kid as he tried to approach. "Um...excuse me?" He attempted an air of politeness while regarding the other two females nearby, only speaking shortly after the blind girl demanded she join the rebellion. It was admirable, and he smiled softly in her direction not that she'd see it before continuing: "I would also like to join the rebellion."

Alexander “Sully” Sullivan

Alex had always been a heavy sleeper in the few hours a night he caught shut-eye. The last thing he remembered was winding down in his measly dorm, reading one of his favorite books until his mind caught up with the dull ache in his body. Vaguely, he recalled the glaring red light of his digital clock reading the wee hours of the morning when his eyes drifted closed.

Why did that always happen at the good part? The Chateau D’if was where the story really picked up!

Slumber was deep and quiet, at least to start. The sigh of rain on the window and a soft firelight was… cozy. It reminded Alex of his Scout days, camping up in Big Bear… but the rain was too loud. He could smell it through the glass, feel the sound turn into a low roar against his ears and the heat of the candle becoming hot as a summer day sun. He swore, for a moment, he saw the reflective predator gleam in a reflection that was his, but also not.

* * *

Snapping awake with a snort and a huff, Alex’s stormy blue eyes stared blearily up and the late-morning sky and the lush trees overhead. Did his slumbering brain get spooked or bored and swap the proverbial dream-reel? He rubbed at his eyes, trying to massage the blur out of his vision, only to find that his reading glasses were still on, simply unable to properly fit over… a massive fuzzy snout?

“Okay, what the heck?” Alex muttered, then coughed. His voice was deeper than he remembered, a basso growl that made his hackles rise.

Wait, he had hackles?!

Scrambling to his feet, stumbling over the unfamiliar dimensions of his new legs, yet adjusting his balance instinctually thanks to something else. Massive, claw-like hands explored the strange new skull and ears, the coat of silvery-grey fur, the maw of teeth and twitching whiskers. Yet, looking at his hands, Alex saw his dad’s watch and meditation beads. The scar on his hand from woodshop was still there, cutting a bald spot along the back of his hand. Daring to look behind him, Alex spied the idly twitching tail, which flagged as he saw it, seeming as surprised to be noticed as Alex was to find it.

What?!” Alex barked, looking around, forcing himself to be… as calm as he could. His copy of The Count of Monte Cristo had apparently also made the trip, so that was something. The dark, lupine lips of Alex’s new face curled as he pinched himself.

He yelped.

“Okay… okay. I’m either in a coma, someone laced my water…” Alex looked around, seeing others gathering to a more humanoid-looking woman, then the towering city right out of one of his favorite tabletop modules,

“Or I seriously upgraded!” Alex exclaimed, his tail wagging, which reminded him of something. If he awoke with his book and his glasses…

Looking down at himself, a scarlet heat flooded Alex’s new ears. He was, indeed, dressed just as he was when he fell asleep. That meant his “Baby got Backstories” tanktop and Superman boxers, all of which were a signifigantly snugger than he recalled.

“Oh geez…” he sighed. “Figures I fall into an Adventure Module in my underwear…” he mumbled, picking up his book and holding it bashfully over himself as he took up the rear, walking in an awkward stride that was akin to a cowboys until he got used to the extra joints in his legs.

* * *

Following the group lead by a pretty and proper gal to what was unmistakably a chapel of some kind, Alex had instinctively gone into picking apart the architecture as a means to try and understand the geometry of their belief, once again lagging behind a few steps. His ears were burning hot as coals having paraded through town in sleepwear that felt ready to burst at the seams. Never mind the jutting tail acting as is personal Judas as each wag and twitch tugged the waistband down.

It felt terribly wrong being in a chapel in his current state.

“Saint Christopher, forgive me,” he muttered, running a rough paw-pad over the medallion of the very Saint, where it was perched snugly against the thick trunk of his neck.

Faith, whom Alex wasn’t sure how to formally address, was a generous sort, and at the mention of charity functions, his lupine ears perked up from their previously subdued sloop. Part of him simply wanted to learn about this new land and culture, but the mention of rooms and a chance to change clothes was too good to pass up. Unsure how to properly show gratitude, the wolf went with the broadest brush he knew: a bow and a smile,
“Thank you, miss,” he said, tugging his boxers up once again before turning his back and walking hurriedly to one of the unclaimed rooms.

With his book on the night stand, the spartan accommodations already felt a little more welcoming. Casting off his old attire, Alex took a moment to survey the new changes. He was, by a visual estimate, nearly a foot taller than he was before he fell asleep, and packing a vastly more robust musculature. His tattoos were gone, or at least covered by his lush pelt, much to his chagrin. He took a few moments to flex, pose, and brandish his new claws and teeth. He’d decided he’d gotten enough of an eyeful of himself when his ears once again surged scarlet. Surely, there would be a stiff learning curve and scientific method for… other things.

There were cast-off an donated clothes, much to Alex’s relief, all of them tailored for the apparent animal-hybrid creature that inhabited this world. Plane? Dimension? He shrugged and happily stepped into a pair of trousers, tunic and surcoat. If he was in some fantasy-land, why not dress like the Baywatch Jedi Knight he was meant to be? He would need to work a bit to get whatever passed as currency in this place to get glasses that actually fit. Or would he need them? Peter Parker didn’t need his glasses after he got bit…

Joining the others, of which he had gleaned only cursory glances at their profiles or the backs of their person, Alex found his massive mitts fidgeting. It was undignified, he decided, and folded his arms at the small of his back in an additional effort to tame and control that traitorous tail.

They spoke of factions, and that sat sourly with Alex. More upsetting still was that voice from the dark and dusky corners of his mind that gnashed its teeth and demanded to join the Rebellion. That free, ferocious spirit that leap into mosh pits and chased Westboro Baptists off with a bat. That spirit that had ruined his childhood, and loomed over him his entire life. No, if Alex was going to join in a fight, he’d do it knowing the fight, the stakes, and the mentalities of those involved. He was not going to end up like his dad.

“I, uh-“ he paused, clearing his throat, “Ahem. I think I’ll stick to the town for a bit. Can’t really fight for a place I don’t know, so I want to know it first.” Alex said as softly as he could, and it still came out as a husky burgh, about as smooth as a mile of gravel road.

This was going to take some getting used to…

Ophelia

Ophelia did a s1600814918274.pngtopping motion, like a maestro halting a song, and her flames disappeared. She sighed, "She got away...I shouldn't have went so easy on her." She muttered to herself. The rebel leader turned around, and decided to follow the rest of the group to make sure that the guards wouldn't attack again. "Let's go Red, once we get back to base, I want you to prepare to track down Liz, and keep an eye on these newcomers, the ones that don't join us." She orders.

Red nods, and turns her attention back to the boy she was helping. She took something from her pocket, and held it up to his nose. One sniff and Dante was up, gagging on the scent of whatever he smelled. Red smiled, and got up, quickly joining Ophelia on her journey to the church. It was up to Dante if he wanted to join them over at the church.

Once Ophelia reached the church, she decided that she wouldn't go inside. It was a sacred place, and even though Ophelia had a halo above her head, she was far from an angel .

To her surprise, a few people came outside and said they wanted to join the rebellion. She took a look at Red, who was already looking over the bunch of newbies. "Well, we could use a few extra helping hands...very well. Welcome to the rebellion. Follow me. Time to meet your superiors, Red is one of them." She gestured towards Red, who was now sniffing the newbies.

1600816687567.png
After a painfully long walk, the gang finally reached the Rebel base. "Welcome home, this is the one place where you'll be safe. Those guards are way to scared to even get close to this place!" She chuckled. She started to give them a tour of the entire rebel hideout. She then led them to where they would sleep. Which was the farthest building from the edge.
1600817322848.png
"Before you go to sleep, I have one more area to show you." Ophelia stated before walking towards a building that had a large amount of smoke coming from it. She banged on the door, "Clint! Open up! I got newbies that I want you to meet." She yelled. After a few seconds, the door opened, and a short man came to answer.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm up....The name's Clint. I'll be forging your weapons, and armor. I'm also a weapon expert." He said. Clint looked at some of the dudes, and smirked, "Feel free to call me daddy, or bro~" He said with a wink. Ophelia rolled her eyes before shoving him back into the forge and shutting the door. "Now listen, as a member of the rebellion, you won't only be fighting the King's lapdogs, you will also be fighting infected, people who have been poisoned by the king, and transformed into monsters. When we kill them, we forge weapons out of their bodies. This may seem gruesome, but it's the only way we'll have strong enough weapons to fight." She explained.

"Now I guess I have some explaining to do. The best question being "what are we fighting for"... and that's simple, for the people. The way I see it, we are the only thing truly protecting them from the monsters. The king...his guards...they only want one thing...control. Let's start with some info about who you'll be aiming to get intel on the bad guys you wanna be aiming for. If you spot them, you notify me, or one of your superiors. We only know of 3. The first one, The Wolf, also known as Lizabeta, known for her non stop flirting, but most likely the weakest of the bunch. Second is The Hidden, Tao. He isn't on the frontlines too often, but he won't hesitate to kill you when you least expect it. Lastly is the bunny, Aurora. We don't know what she looks like, she stays in the shadows. But we know one thing, she has pink hair. if you see anyone who's acting suspicious around you, and has pink hair. your report to me Immediately, She's strong enough to kill every single one of you without breaking a sweat." She explained. Ophelia allowed the group to absorb the information she just gave them. She could see the uneasiness in their eyes, but under that, a determination that could never be broken. It made her happy, gave her hope that maybe they could pull through and finally beat the mad king. "If your tired, you can rest up in your rooms, be warned, you will all be sleeping in one room. We don't exactly have enough room for all of you to have separate rooms. If you want to, you can go and talk to Clint about getting you armed and ready for tomorrow your choice." Ophelia said before leaving them to do whatever they wanted. "Red! get ready! we're moving out!" Ophelia shouted. Red was busy sniffing the wolf she had cut earlier. "Okay boss." She said plainly before scurrying off.

Andromeda "Andy" Williams
Faction: Town
Andromeda was glad that Jules could see that it was her even though she was in this male body. She looked at her friend and nodded as she stood up and held out her hand to her friend. The darkness was also scaring Andromeda but to be honest there was something about it that intrigued her. Why did she have this darkness and why didn't Lena have it?

She looked at Julissa as she spoke about her body and she shrugged, "Honestly, I'm just as clueless as you are." She said as she looked at her her larger hands, no it wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to her. The worst thing that had ever happened to her was when her father died. It took a huge toll on Andromeda's mental health. She felt responsible. This is how the fear of the darkness felt. It felt like death, the fear of death. There was a reason that it was hard for Andromeda to be close to people.

When the woman disappeared almost as fast as she appeared Andromeda felt like a weight was lifted off of her shoulders. When they were lead towards the church there was several times that She fell. She didn't have good balance, it was honestly like trying to learn to walk again. It actually felt kinda natural for her to be in this body, maybe this was a sign that her feelings were justified by not feeling like she belonged in her body before. She had never been a girly girl as one might say and had always felt out of place among other females, always hanging out with Male friends.

- The amount of power this wolf girl carried scared and surprised me. I didn't need to hear to know that this girl was terrifying. I carefully watched as two other people had arrived. But by then I had gone on to watch my fellow classmates. So I was surprised when a gust of hot wind knocked me off the side of the roof. I plummeted to the ground, but my instincts kicked in.-

-I made quick of saving myself. It felt like my mind just clicked then my body moved on its own. I reached my arm out and grabbed the railing to a balcony. This action would usually have hurt my arm, but for some reason, there was but a sting. I let go and prepared for impact. Bending my knees and my tail curved straight up. I landed on the ground with a thump.-

-As the group starts to walk forward I follow at some distance. Keeping a close eye on the strange wolf girl with a stick.... cane... thing. I zone out; looking around the town. Taking in every detail that I can People, houses, carts, and so on. We approach a church looking thing and I wait for everyone to go in and get settled before I enter. I lean against a side wall and wait, looking out the window. I listen carefully to what the people say, but never make eye contact, and especially never speak. I hear more people enter the strange place, and I listen to what they have to say. Then a flying butterfly type girl approaches me and hands me some clothes. I stay quiet. I look down at the clothes I was given. A small white skirt with short for when I do flips, I assume, and brown lace-up hiking boots. Then the girl named Faith leads us out of the room.-

-I follow at the back of the group, so I can't hear much of what she's saying, but I pick up some bits and pieces. She talks about the place, and what happened here before, and that we will be staying here for a while. She shows everyone their room and then leaves. I hesitantly enter the room I was given and quickly decide that I want to lay on the wood supports that line the ceiling. First I change (I had closed the door immediately once I got in) then I somehow make my way up to the beams. I lay there staring at the ceiling and think.-

-What would I want to do? This regular day to day life would be far too boring... What did the deer girl say? Something about the Rebellion helping them fight off the guards? That could be an option. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. Once I sleep; I'm drained for the day. I rest on the beams. I don't sleep, but I just sit there and relax.-

~*J u l i s s a*~

Of all the things Julissa expected out of a day like this, she didn't think she would end up in a cozy room in a church with her best friend. She wasn't even religious in their old world. What was she going to do in a church? She frowned as she sat down on one of the empty beds. Her head was starting to hurt. There was too much going on all at once. "Where the fuck are we Andy?" she asked, the strain evident in her voice. "Just hours ago we were on our way back to the dorm. How did we end up here."

Julie dealt with all kinds of stress in her daily life. She had school to worry about, and she was constantly dodging communication with her mother because she knew it would be toxic and deconstructive. These were normal issues that a good percentage of the world had to deal with. Now she's in a magical world with animal creatures and a cat tail. She let out a hefty sigh and stood again. She let her eyes wander over her friend's new form and the sight allowed a smile to emerge on her features.

"At least I don't look like you," she joked, and punched her friend lightly on the tummy. Andy was now significantly taller than Julie. It was going to take her some time to get used to not only the masculinity of her friend, but also the towering height. She put her hands on her hips and took a glance out the window. The sun was minutes away from setting entirely, but the city still looked beyond beautiful. The view from the church was breath taking. The street lamps left a golden glow across the stone streets. The flowers swayed in the gentle night breeze, and the towns people looked like something straight out of a history text book.

Julissa smiled and pointed out the window. "Let's go explore a little. Figure out where the hell we are." Julissa has always been a little mischievous, and the lion in her only fueled that passionate drive. She grabbed Andy's hand and pulled the giant down the stairs with her and into the streets of the city. The medic was walking away from the church. Now that Julie was behind her, she could clearly see the badger tail poking out from underneath her dress. She rushed up to the woman and tapped her on the shoulder. She jumped in response and turned to see the girl she patched up earlier. Her smile was genuine.

"Ah, your arm should be fine in just a few days. The cut wasn't too deep," she told her. Julissa smiled in thanks, but quickly tried to address what she originally wanted to.

"So, I Have a question," she started. The medic turned to face her fully and open her hands as if to say go ahead. Julissa scratched at her cheek as she thought about how to word the question. "This town. What all is there for fun? Giraffe girl just told us about the library but that's far from entertaining."

"Oh well, we have a greenhouse. Lots of the young girls your age love to visit there and water the flowers," the medic answered. Julie shook her head. She wanted something more exciting than just flowers. "You could always play with the kids. Or see what chores the neighbors need. Oh! But please, for all the sanity in the world, stay away from the Corrupt Corners. There are dangerous parts of the city we have closed off entirely. I don't want you getting more hurt, dear."

With these words of caution, the medic excused herself and left to her shoppe a few doors down. Julissa crossed her arms over her chest and looked up at the friend. What were they supposed to do now? No phones, no computers, nothing even remotely entertaining. She was going to go crazy here. Corrupt Corners... the words echoed in her head. It sounded like danger was the only thing that was going to keep her entertained in this hell hole. The danger was probably just a couple of stray animals or a gang. Julie hummed as she started to walk away.

"You can follow me if you want, Andy, but I'm going to see where those corners are," she said. She knew it wasn't a great idea, but there was no way she could go to sleep any time soon. She decided to go towards the part of the city that didn't look as well lit as the roads near the centre. That would be a good start.

Gemma didn't live in the church, but she visited it fairly often. It was one of the most beautiful places around town. That, and it was always a pleasure to chat with Faith. The cute deer was a literal angel as she moved about the church watering plants or whispering prayers. She even had the kindness to take in the strangers. Gemma could tell that she was a little frazzled at that last part, though. They seemed harmless enough, but there was always the fear that one of them could turn on them in an instant.

The clothes handed out were donations from people around town that no longer could fit the clothes or had simply grown out of them. Gemma didn't mind gathering them all up for Faith, but she did mind that their supply had gone down. I planned on picking out my favorites and taking them for myself. She figured anything in good faith would please her friend, however, so she wouldn't let the loss of fashion deter her from helping out.

Now all the strangers had been given bed spaces in the housing portion of the church. She flitted her wings in excitement as she ran up the stairs to see how they were all settling in. One, the monkey girl, was dozing off. She didn't think she should disturb her. She peeked into another room. The wolf boy was in there. She glanced into the door of another. The owl. She tapped her chin in thought. Oh I don't want to be a nuisance, but I want to have some fun. Gemma smiled as she knocked loudly on both of their doors.

"Hey you two~!" she called into the rooms. "Come out and have a chat with me." She leaned against the wall of the long hallway and let her eyes take in the details of them. They definitely looked nothing like anyone she had ever seen before. They really did just appear out of nowhere. Her lips turned down as speculation drowned her thoughts. "So. What's going on with you guys? Have you been in hiding this whole time? A secret civilization beneath the city? Or-" she leaned in close to them, excitement clearly in her eyes. "You guys know the way out of Willosya?"

It was far fetched, but a girl could dream. She always fantasized about what other worlds would look like. She read most of the books in the library, and she painted what the stories would describe to her. Princesses, magical fairies, sirens in the ocean. Gemma hoped that the strangers were from one of the amazing worlds she dreamt about since she was a little girl.

She frowned deeper and leaned back against the wall. "Willosya is far from a dream. There's monsters out there. Real monsters. They terrorize us. The rebellion keeps them at bay but- well. There's more and more of them everyday. Its like an illness. Transfers from one person to the next." She looked out the window and watched as the lion girl ran off towards one of the Corrupt Corners in the city. "Your friend is heading straight to them."

Gemma had half a mind to warn someone, but there was no point. That girl would be Corrupt by morning.

"Shut the fuck up Bunny, I hear something," she growled. Her ear was twitching like crazy. There was someone outside the headquarters. The bunny girl pulled a knife out from her boot without looking up from the paper she was writing. She seemed unbothered. Liz hated how calm Aurora was. She never over reacted, and she always handled her battles with poise. Not even the wolf could break her exterior. "Yeah just keep on writing your damn letter. I'm going to see what it was."

Liz took soft steps to the door. She put her ear against it and listened to what was outside. She sniffed the air lightly, and her nose wrinkled at the stench. Its those fucking strangers from earlier. Lizabeta wasn't going to let them get the jump on her. She threw the door open and pinned them both down. One hand was on the boy's neck, the other was gripping the girl by her jaw. A bird and a fox. Nothing but prey. She smiled at them, her tongue flicking over her lips.

"What are you two hot pieces of ass doing outside here?" she said, the manic glint returning to her eyes. She shoved them both against the wall, and she took great joy in the thud of their bodies against the stone. "This is Corrupt territory. Did your little townspeople not warn you?"

Bunny came out behind her, a small smile on her face. "Calm down, Lizabeta. Let's see why they're here," she said. Liz didn't release them, but she at least kept her mouth shut. When Aurora expends energy on things, its best to just let her do what she must to get the answers she wants. She told Liz to bring them inside. The wolf kept a sturdy grip on them as she hauled them into the head quarters. She threw them both into a corner, and Bunny stood on her other side as they blocked them from escaping. "Because Lena didn't explain things to you, I will. We are the King's Guard. We fight for His Royal Highness to keep things civil in the town. There aren't many of us, but we are all powerful enough to make up for that. Now that we have introduced ourselves. Tell me please why you are here."

She held the knife up to them with a steady hand and little blush on the highest curve of her cheek bones. Liz hated Bunny more than anyone in the world, but they did share one thing in common. There was a great pleasure to be had when tormenting the townies that stand against the King.

Jade felt her skin begin to crawl as she looked around the area. If she was to get caught, there would be no one around to help, and barely any place for her to escape. Letting out a breath to calm her pounding heart, Jade peaked back up over the ledge to look at the two guards.

Not expecting to hear a voice from behind her, Jade jumped and looked back at the male with a glare. “me- what are you doing here?” She huffed, looking away from the male, waving him off.

Peaking back over the edge, she didn’t see the wolf anymore, just the bunny sitting at the table. Sighing in slight relief, Jade sat back on the dirt. “Why’d you even come? Go back to the cutesy lifestyle they have at the town.” Jade hummed, looking at the fox.

Leaning her arm against the building, her body filled with shock as the door in front of her bursted open. Jade’ hand instantly went to grab at the wolfs wrist, her gaze hardening as she stared up at the wolf.

“Fuck-“ she groaned, her back already beginning to ache as the sharp edges of the stone wall dug into her skin. Jade let her gaze trail from the wolf and to the bunny, anxiety beginning to bite at her heart.

Jade didn’t expect to be in this situation, but as she pushed Sebastian over so she could have room in the small corner, her arms came up to cross over her chest. “Ah, so you’re the bunny Lizabeta was talking about, how cute.” She chuckled, raising one of her eyebrows.

“But y’know, curiosity ‘n all. Cant really help that I was intrigued by the puppy here.” Jade grinned, letting her shining eyes trail over both the murderous guards in front of her. Yes, they were terrifying, but Jade couldn’t help but find them adorable despite the killer instinct inside of them.

Sebastian folded his arms and looked to Jade. “Perhaps I am here for the same reason you are. After all, have you ever heard the saying ? Curiosity killed the fox.” Sebastian said slightly calm. Though that didn’t last long as he shakes his head and scoffs. “In your dreams, perhaps you should go back. I came on my own terms, nothing for you to be concerned about. “ Sebastian scoffed once more, he wasn’t going to let her get away with that remark.

He was just about to move to the other side of the building, when the wolf attacked. He tried to get his legs under her stomach to push her off. But so much was happening at once. He didn’t know how to react. One minuet claws are being pushed into his neck the next he’s being thrown against a wall.

He tried to struggle to get free but, it was no use. After that he was now inside the building pinned to a corner. He placed his hand on his neck rubbing it breathing deeply. He didn’t say anything until the other was done.

“I am quite aware of what who this territory belongs to. Your mutt made that clear to us earlier. As a welcoming surprise when we had just arrived.” Sebastian said taking in another deep breath his hand still placed on his neck. His voice more quite and shaken.

“Though a word of advice. You need to train your dog better to be more aware, after all. If we can manage to follow her without being detected then somethings not quite right I’d it ?” Sebastian said intended to insult the guards he was pushing his luck.

He looked to the rabbit, placing a finger on the top of the knife pushing it away. “Though my intentions are not harmless. I come in peace, I simply wish to join your merry band. You see I feel I can be of grate use to you. Since where I am from my family have slight connections to royalty. Nothing too grate but with that experience I feel I can be of use. “ Sebastian added stopping there. He couldn’t speak anymore his neck simply hurting too much. He simply offered a glare to the wolf.

After Elentiya had talked to the lady - Ophelia was her name? - and joining the rebellion, she went to explore the town. She walked around, gazing at everything. It truly was something out of a novel or a movie. Something you would read about, but never experience. The sun shone brightly on the rooftops, and people talked with one another.

As she walked, she noticed that people grouped together. People who were part predator stayed with one another, while prey stayed with themselves. It's not like they hated or were mean to each other. They simply, didn't socialize with each other. Is that how it is here? Like some sort of social hierarchy? A pecking order? She frowns as she notices this. Elie is a social butterfly - social wolf? - and couldn't stand the classic school cliques that people boxed themselves into.

Eventually, she starts searching for something to eat. The deer girl had said that only breakfast and dinner were provided. And if Elie had to guess the time based off of the sun, she would say it was maybe three in the afternoon? Somewhere around there. She follows her nose and the scent of food, exploring the town at the same time.

Alexander “Sully” Sullivan

After the little powwow in the church proper, there was a time, brief as it was, to reflect. For Al, that of course meant self-doubt, but it was never something he was going to openly say to others. He was always the social and emotional bedrock among his peers, mostly because he was well-versed in the “fake it ‘til you make it” song and dance.

Did he make the right decision? Was restraint not the right course of action when he didn’t know a thing about this strange new world he now inhabited, for better or for worse? Leaning on the windowsill, the painted paned glass was opened to the air. Tumultuous instinct told him to fight, to hunt. It berated him for behaving like prey, making his head throb with a dull ache, blood roaring in his ears. The smell of cooking food on uncounted stoves all mingled in his nose, now so impossibly keen. Alex could hear the groaning of a hinge of a door across the street.

It was like he had been buried under layer after layer of wool his whole life, only now sensing them with such clarity. With a sigh, Alex went to place his face in his hands, only to jam his rough palm-pads into his cold nose.

Alex wanted to rip one of the window panes off the frame and chuck it into the setting sun, but he instead settled on a resigned and frustrated sigh that heaved his massive shoulders.

A bright and summery-warm voice lanced through Al’s introspective confusion and melancholy, hooking his attention and turning him ‘round. The summons to talk wasn’t really a question, but seeing as how Alex had nothing else to do and no other prospects, he figured he might as well humor the girl who sat calling from his chamber door.

The briefest sigh and hush of noise set one of Alex’s new ears twitching. It sounded like the rustle of fabric and steady breath... from inside his room? A flaxen tail that curled and flicked with the idleness of unconsciousness. Drawing his sterling blue eyes up its length to its source, Alex bit back a curse,

“Jesus!” He hissed. When did this gal get in here? He saw her with the other newcomers, one of those who maintained a closer approximation to their human visage, by the look of it. Taking a deep breath, he tugged at the hem of his new attire to snap imaginary wrinkles and rumples out of the cloth. Clearing his throat with a low cough, Alex stepped out into the hall.

The woman whom he presumed had called them was a pretty sort, even as he adjusted to this strange environ and it’s stranger denizens. She had bright eyes, a warm smile, and a heart-shaped face that would have been fetching in any regard, but the luminous orange of her monarch wings were something else.

“Present for chatting, miss,” he rumbled, scratching at the thick ruff of fur on his cheek. Was there a kind of status-quo that was supposed to be maintained? If they were supposed to keep the secret of their origin or arrival, they’d have been told. Right? Alex, in his infinite wisdom, decided to be coy,

“I read a book that transported me here,” he said with a brief flicker of a smile on his lips. At least he didn’t get hit by a bus and find himself here. The gossamer of humor fell apart moments later, sheared by the foreboding in the butterfly’s words.

Well, shit...

It really was an Adventure Module, complete with monsters abound in a city that was nowhere near as kindly as it looked on the outside. To make matters worse, someone was in danger. That soundless voice once again stirred, and for once, Alex was inclined to agree with it. His dark nostrils flared, testing the air for a scent before he could even give life to his voice.

“Well? Let’s go get her! We might not be Rebellion, but we can still look out for our...” he paused briefly, breath hitching. “Our people. Where we’re from, it takes smart folks working together to beat a sickness,” he said, trying for a smile that looked twice as sure as he felt.

-I hear the tall man walk through the door. He's so fixated on his own thoughts that he doesn't notice I'm in the room. I stay quiet and don't move. I watch him move to the window and sit on the small windowsill. I tilt my head just slightly and inspect my new roommate. The switch from our world to Willosya was apparent. His whole body had changed. Wolf-like features taking the place of human ones. Soft grey fur covering his entire body. An X shaped scar tearing at his left arm. When a voice calls out from the hall I turn and look. The butterfly girl from earlier stands.....flutters?....Levitates? in the hall. I turn my attention back to the male in the room. His eyes are on me.-

-I return his blue-eyed stare with my own. My eyes cold; I make it apparent that I am not to be messed with. I watched as he fixes his clothes; like it would make a difference. I fight a smile that wants to erupt on my face. I watch him walk out of the room to the girl. My tail curls around the beam and I shift from a laying position to a sitting one. I lean back until I'm hanging upside down from the beam. I look out into the hallway curious as to why the strange flying female wanted tot talk.-

-I listen to their conversation tilting my head ever so slightly. I analyze the kind of personality my new roommate has, and decide I can talk to him.-
"Well? Let’s go get her! We might not be Rebellion, but we can still look out for our..."
-I nod in agreement. I may not like these people, but I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. My tail unwraps from the beam and I flip down. A small thump as I land on the ground. He has a point we need to follow her. Help or go with her. Just in case. I stand fully and walk up to behind him.-
"Our people. Where we’re from, it takes smart folks working together to beat a sickness."
-He said ending, I'm pretty sure at least from the look on the butterfly's face, with a smile. I step forward now seeing the apparent height difference.
I'm so small!-
"So what are we waiting for?"
-My voice is soft but carries through the empty hall. I walk forward down the hall making it apparent that I'm not waiting.-

Another day, another lecture.

It took all of a few moments of Jordan slapping around to find their phone for them to question whether or not they wanted to get up for class at all. A few more slaps, and they finally managed to make the heavy metal alarm fall silent. After a beat, their waking tension melted away and their arm drooped off to the side of their bed. Their eyes had barely opened to see the light, so there was no issue in closing them again. The dreariness of a sleep short-lived tugged at their shoulders, begging them to turn back over with a stinging in their eyes. Going back to sleep sounded nice actually - they'd had a really strange dream, one they were having trouble remembering and-

They hadn't hit snooze.

Heavy metal blasted into the air again, and without expecting it, it made them jump visibly. With a soft groan they lifted themselves from their sheets, reached over to snag their phone, and turned off the alarm properly. They stared at their phone angrily then, resenting the sound they'd chosen to wake them up, even though nothing else would work. As soon as they relaxed again, their struggle to shrug away their sleepiness and slid from their bed, ready to embrace another long, long day.

- - -

Walking out of their dorm, it took all of five seconds to realize that today was a day where they wanted absolutely no one to talk- no, to even look at them. In the back of their mind, they knew it was because they'd had a rough morning and that they just didn't want to sleep through their first class - even though they knew they would - but it was so much easier to just feel angry. They threw in their earbuds, lifted their sweatshirt hood over their ears, and went on their way.

The walk to their class was thoughtless from it being ritualistically practiced. Using their own money meant they had at least some sense of not wanted to waste it, even if they were fully ready to skip class just that morning. Regardless, they were zoning out, staring at the lines in the sidewalks as they passed and wondering why it was so hard to take only two steps between cracks. It was calming in a way, not really having to think, but that peace was rudely interrupted when someone shoulder checked them and they started to stumble.

The stranger likely said something, but they'd twisted around immediately and barked, "HEY! Watch-"

And then Jordan's mouth flooded with water.

They knew that they were falling, but they didn't remember seeing any puddles spread out on the ground. No- this wasn't a puddle- were they still dreaming? They were drowning. Whatever irritation they had left them without another thought and was completely replaced by fear. There wasn't just water in their mouth- it was on- in their skin- weighing down their clothes- entering their lungs- They screamed. With the blood pumping in their ears, they heard nothing- felt everything. Kicking wasn't enough- they didn't understand what was going on. They kicked, thrashed, begged to wake up, something- anything.

The sun was already shining brightly when the soft sound of chiming bells and a flute filtered around the small room.

There was a soft mumble from under a mountain of blankets and pillows before they began to stir. Ever so slowly a soft head of brown curls arose from under a throw pillow and peeked out with squinted brown eyes. The brunette peered around for a second before the noise of the bells and flute got louder and the hunt for their phone began. After a few minutes of practically swimming among the plush nest they finally held the small device up in victory and turned the alarm off. With a deep inhale and a small smile on their face they crawled out of bed.

---

"Excuse me! Excuse m-sorry- excuse me," They tried to weave their way through the thick crowd of people along the small sidewalk. Frankie was in a hurry and class was going to start in less than 20 minutes. The walk itself, if they hadn't been jogging, would have taken 30 and they were not about to be late, again. Their thick wool sweater bounced with ever step and their round glasses were nearly knocked off their face when they failed to stop, practically walking right up a large gentleman's back.

"I AM SO SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO-," their soft voice rose a couple of octaves at their panic at being so careless.

"Oh, it's alright, no problem," he responded with an uninterested shrug and turned back around to continue waiting at the stop light.

The small individual nodded their head in acknowledgment before darting across the street when the walk light turned on. Their shoe laces were untied in their hurry to get to class and, in one devastating blunder, they tripped. Frankie scrunched their eyes shut and held out their arms to catch themselves on the hard concrete.... but it never came. Instead their hands dipped into cool water followed by their forearms, elbows and- now they the shock and panic set in. Their eyes snapped open just in time to see the deep blue of the water that rushed up to meet them and then they were under.

The initial gasp that came out was swallowed up in a swirl of bubbles and the shocked Frankie began to swim for the surface but paused....something was wrong.

They couldn't feel their legs.

This caused Frankie to pause in their arm movements and look down only to see that their legs were no where to be seen and in their place was a gelatinous, red and black, bell shaped skirt? They reached down to move this skirt away to find their legs only to see that, beneath it, was long, ribbon like tendrils flowing freely deeper into the blue. Their mouth opened in shock and bubbles came streaming out in a flurry; a hand clamped down over it to keep any more from escaping but it was too late. They needed air.

Again they tried to swim upwards but without the use of legs it was slow going. They held their lingering breath in for as long as possible before their body forced them to exhale and then inhale deeply.

This is the end, I am going to drown!

But their lungs filled with oxygen. Once more they stopped, but before they could process what was happening further, they noticed a blur of black and white from the corner of their eye.

Andromeda "Andy" Williams
Faction: Town
When Andy was shown to a room, she nodded and looked at her friend, finally taking a good look at her friend. She now towered over her and then the lion-like features seemed to stand out more. The male went to run his hand through his hair but when he did, he hit something solid and somewhat sharp. "Ouch." He guessed that now would be as good as time as any to look in the mirror. What she saw shocked her and she stumbled backwards, landing on the bed. Horns and she had been turned into a he.

Something didn't sit well with her about his appearance, but maybe this was a way of knowing if she could make it as a guy. She shook her head and turned back to Julissa, "You know, at least your still the same gender this shit is weird man. Like how the fuck do I pee? " She asked and then as julie said something about exploring and pulled him along behind her.

"Jules, can't you just listen to the people that live here, this isn't a good idea." Finally Andy had gained some motor control back and as she started towards the darker streets he grabbed her arm. "Jules, don't go that way. I have a bad feeling about all of this." He was telling the truth, it was like chills were running up and down his spine. He wanted nothing to do with the darkness that had been so dangerous to them earlier. There was no telling what was in these curupt corners, but he couldn't deny that he was curious.

"Let's just wait until sunrise, maybe it will be lit better, I just think that this is too dangerous." He said reaching back to scratch the back of his head.

In the short amount of time between Nere's demand and the rebellion leader, Ophelia's, response, someone else had decided to pursue the same route at the newly-transformed wolf-girl. Thanks to her heightened senses, she was able to recognize the other well enough. His soft voice and polite demeanor betrayed the male to be Astraeus. The blind woman had never really spoken to him—had never really spoken or interacted with anyone on campus, really—but she held no qualms about working alongside him. He seemed a kind enough individual, though she would've never chalked him up to be a fighter of any kind. Perhaps that came from not getting to know him or her other classmates.

Joining the rebellion seemed easy enough, given the fact that Ophelia just jumped right on the proposal and allowed their admittance. Nerezza did find it somewhat odd that the woman didn't question the blind woman's capabilities, but Nere wasn't going to mention it and create a problem for herself. As such, she stayed silent as she trailed Ophelia and what seemed to be her second-in-command, Red, to the Rebellion's base of operations. Their footsteps were loud and defined enough for the wolf-girl to follow without much trouble, enough so that she was sure she would've been fine without her transformation.

The tour was a different story, however. Nerezza made sure to focus on Ophelia's explanations whilst simultaneously struggling to form a mental map in her head from just her footsteps and maintaining a somewhat clear compass in her mind. She knew it would take some time to get used to the layout of the rebels' base and memorize the different paths and rooms, but that would come with practice. For now, she tried to absorb as much as she possibly could. She wondered how many times she would accidentally go into a different room than she'd intended before she memorized the place...

They were then led to one last place: Clint's forge. The man was an... interesting character, to say the least, but she was intrigued by the concept of receiving armor and weapons capable of withstanding a fight. Nere's cane-sword was worthy of puncturing skin, but it was definitely not deadly. Living in a populated town and sticking to crowds made it difficult for her to fear for her life, but the sword at least made her feel like she had some control over her situation. But for a fight, a true battle? It was more akin to a training sword than a real weapon.

Nerezza listened carefully to Ophelia's descriptions of their enemies. Fortunately, she and their confused group had already had the pleasure of meeting the first, Lizabeta, though she was somewhat discouraged by the revelation that she was one of the weaker members of their enemy. Lizabeta, the rival wolf-girl that had such a stark effect on their group and seemed so dangerous, was actually one of the least powerful ones? A knot of fear formed in the pit of her stomach, but she instead shoved it down and ignored it. The descriptions of the other two were not of much help—especially since the blind woman wouldn't be able to identify anyone based on hair color—but it was a start.

After Ophelia had left them with their options for the night, Nere considered her options once again. Judging by the exhaustion setting on her, she could guess that it was growing dark out. But she did not want to go to bed just yet. With each passing minute, excitement and adrenaline coursed through her veins; she would not be able to sleep now. Without much of a second thought, the blind woman made her way back to Clint's forge and, after a moment's hesitation, knocked politely on the man's door. She wanted to be ready for tomorrow and whatever awaited her in this strange land, and she felt it would be a better idea to at least have Clint get started on her equipment now rather than later.

Once Clint opened the door, Nere cleared her throat and spoke, "Clint, yes? Ophelia said that you could get us 'armed and ready' for tomorrow. I figured it'd be good to start now, if you're willing."

Her second thought was, "I should have listened to the medic." She wouldn't have been in this situation if she took warnings seriously instead of seeing immediate danger as a challenge. Julie wasn't scared of much; she went through her life fairly fearless and confident in her decisions. When someone told her that things might go awry, she felt a deep excitement in her chest at the very thought of putting her life at risk. It was a rush to chase after the chance of ruining her life. She always ended up disappointed when things resumed to normal and nothing was really at risk at all.

Regardless of her running streak of being a dumbass, it didn't change the fact that this thought only occurred to her after things turned for the worst.

Julie's first thought was that she finally did it - she finally managed to find the one situation she may actually die from.

1602597640587.png

It was disgusting, whatever it was. A disfigured beast that stood with a hunch back and hollow eyes. It looked like it was dripping with inky shadows, but the drops turned to dust the minute it touched the stone road. The creature was staring at her the second she slipped through the Corner. It was an entrance in the wall that was barricaded with wooden planks. She found it easy enough to squeeze through, but she regretted it the instant this monster saw her.

She felt the fear all over again. It was the same overwhelming dread that Lizabeta had instilled in her. Cold ice running through the veins, lead solidifying her limbs. She couldn't move. Julie was stuck watching the beast a the beast watched her. She wanted to vomit but there was no was she could move her body enough to allow it to happen. Tears pooled down her cheeks. Raw terror.

The creature took a step closer to her. There was a whistling coming from it that rang in her ears. She was sure this was how she would die. She wanted the thrill of possible death her entire life, but this was nothing like she dreamed of. This was a living nightmare. And I dragged Andy over here with me. Not only is she risking her own life just for the sake of fun, but she also put her best friend in the same position. You're so stupid Jules. You're going to die knowing you are an idiot.

She forced herself to take a step away, but her legs were shaking like crazy. She needed to run or fight or something. She can't let the deep dread this creature exuded take over her. Please, someone. Help us.

Gemma was mildly worried. Most people in the town couldn't handle the thought of going anywhere near the Corrupt Corners in the city. They taught the kids from a young age to go nowhere near it, and the Church made sure to remind everyone that there was nothing safe in those places. These new people weren't raised with these truths apparent from birth. They don't know to be scared. Gemma sighed - there was no stopping them.

"I'll show you the way there but I can't help you after that," she told them, her voice carrying the weight of her worries.

She began to depart from the hall and she hoped they were wise enough to follow her. She wrung her hands together as they made their way back outside. The air was a bit chilly now that the sun was setting. Every step she took towards the Corner she saw the lion go in made her heart beat harder and harder. What felt like an eternity for Gemma was really just a couple minutes of a quaint walk. Before them stood the barricaded door.

"Th-This is it," she told them. "She went right in there. Uhm. I'll let the medic know where you guys are going. Just- ya'know- in case." She gulped loudly; it felt like there was a giant ball sitting in the top of her throat. She took a couple steps back and waved at the newcomers. She doubted she would ever see them again. You're leading them to their death. She shook the thought away and hurried back to the church. Gemma knocked at the medic's door first, but the old lady didn't answer. They can't say she didn't at least try. She went back inside the church.

If they survive the night, she'll fetch the medic in the morning.

The wolf had to stifle the laugh that itched to come out. She had to release the two to cover her mouth. Bunny watched her with mild intrigue, but Lizabeta could care less about the judging gaze of her fellow guard. She coughed as hard as she could to put a halt to the laughter tickling her ribs. "Listen punks," she managed to get the words out. "You're fucking crazy."

Liz put her hands back on her hips and eyed the dup up and down. She licked her lips as the hunger to devour and destroy them overcame her senses. In all of her time at the guard, she never witnessed a sight like this. Two townies coming to her with the proposition of fighting for the king. The winged girl seemed to have taken an interest in her power earlier, and that's what drew her here. The other - the fox - seemed to have a good deal of knowledge on the world they came from. Liz could use these two for her own purposes than just for the guard.

"C'mon Bunny," Liz looked over at the other girl. Her ears twitched as she met the wolf's gaze with a vibrant blush of her own. "Let's see what they're all about."

Bunny hummed and made her way over to a piece of paper they had pinned up on the wall. She grabbed her pen and started to draw out a diagram. It had three categories on it, and she wrote notes beneath them all. "This Kingdom is divided into three factions," she started, her eyes wandering over the two new recruits. "There's us. We work for the King. There's the town - we keep them under control. And there's the rebellion, a group of idiots who think they can fight us. They can't." She began to write out more things on the paper. The different kind of Corrupt there are - watchers, provoked, savages. Her penmanship was beautiful, and her notes were concise.

"Look the damn Bunny is taking too long to get to the point. She's showing you that we do a whole lot more up here than just bully the townies," Lizabeta interjected herself. Bunny's brow furrowed but she did not stop the wolf. "The King has some big plans. We need to make sure things are going well on our end so that he can do what he has to do. We don't know the specifics but-"

"-If things go right, we can get the hell out of Willosya." A third voice had entered the room. To the side of the room was what looked like a fountain. But this was the entrance for their aquatic guard. Tao.

The betta fish swam in with tired eyes and an unamused set in his lips. Liz didn't hate anyone more than Bunny, but Tao still got on her nerves just the same. "Yes you damn water breather, I was getting to that."

He ignored Liz and rested his arms on the ledge of the pool to look up at the two newbies. "I've been listening. Look if you two want to join then you have to prove yourselves. I was gonna do some recon over at the Rebellion headquarters, see what they're teaching their new recruits. If you're willing to betray the people you came here with, this is your chance to follow me and prove it."

He swam back outside and waited at the door for the two to follow him. Liz ushered them outside with the signature wild glint in her eyes. She Blew them a kiss as she told them goodbye, and she slammed the door behind them. Bunny was back to writing her letter as if none of this happened. Liz sighed and took a good look at the diagram the Bunny had drawn up. She didn't even tell them the half of it. She figured the Bunny would tell them more when they officially joined.

Tao took his time guiding the group over to the Rebellion's headquarters. He would have gone this slow if he was by himself too, but he liked having an excuse to be lazy. The sun had finally set completely. Showing up with the help of nighttime was a benefit for them - another excuse to take his time. "We'll have to be quiet," he warned them. "If they find us, I'm leaving you behind to get skinned. I won't save you."

He came up to a closer location to the headquarters. "I'm going to take a different path. I can only take waterways. You guys - however - can get as close and cozy as you need to. Get me as much information as you can. If things get sticky, run back to our headquarters. Don't sell us out if you get caught. You came alone. And if you tell them that we're here, you'll have bigger fears than just Ophelia."

He left without another word. He swam through the same waterways he had grown used to over the years. He wanted to spy for his guards tonight, but he also thought it would be a little fun to watch them fuck up a little. Tao wasn't as sadistic as the rest of the guards, but he still took amusement when presented situations he could watch unravel into chaos from afar.

So much had happened in a short amount of time, Sebastian didn’t have a clue how to react. One minuet the rabbit and wolf are breathing down his throat talking about where everything was. Sebastian wasn’t paying much attention. Next he’s playing follow the leader with a fish man.

Who was telling them they had to prove themselves? This felt like something out a superhero movie. Ooh prove yourself so you can join our super secret team or whatever Sebastian wasn’t taking this seriously. He rubbed his head for a moment and just followed along. “You’ll leave us here ? Well that’s kind of you “ Sebastian lightly joked then proceeded to follow the fish man. He had no idea what he was, so from now on he was fish man .

Once they reached near the headquarters the fish man took his Owen route and left him and Jade. “Well, well I guess we have to do this ourselves. How do you wanna play this ? Sneak up to a window or hide in a bush or something ?” Sebastian asked flicking his ears. He could get as close as possible he gathered, he was a fox foxes where sneaky.

(Starter Rebellion set)
The blacksmith sighed as 1602633899721.pnghe returned to his seat. Nobody took him seriously around here anymore, and he was almost everyone's superior! Well, save Ophelia and a few others. He went back to sharpening blades, polishing armor. He didn't have anyone coming in with special orders, so for now, he'd be making standard equipment. Well, he was, until someone knocked on his door. Was it the cute goat man!?! Clint waltzed to the door, unholy thoughts in his head. And when he opened the door, he was immensely disappointed that it was the blind wolf.

"Clint, yes? Ophelia said that you could get us 'armed and ready' for tomorrow. I figured it'd be good to start now, if you're willing." She explained to Clint. He dragged her into his forge, and started looking her over. "Rather petit are you...and short. However, great things come in small packages." Clint muttered to himself. "Listen here Las, I'll be giving you the standard rebel armor. It's nothing fancy, real basic. When you go out an kill something, I'll make you some better armor." Clint explained.

Clint handed her the standard rebellion armor, and then looked over his wall of various weapons. He looked over the swords, and picked up what looked to be a regular cane. "Since you can't see. Have this. You can pull on the handle and unsheathe a blade. Now get out." Clint said, shoving Nere out of his forge. He then begun doing his job, hammering out some dents in armor plates.

A smile Grew on Clint's face. He couldn't wait to see what these new bunch of trouble makers were capable of.

Alexis
Everything had happened so fast, that Alexis was still having a hard time believing what had happened. She was in a world were magic was real. She sat in her bed that was provided by the church, and had cloths on that made her skin itch a little. She was deciding what she should do, Should she join the rebellion? Whatever that thing was that attacked them earlier, it made people scared. It made her scared, so scared that it felt like her legs would give out from under her. "Whatever she was, she was hurting others. That can't be good....I'll have to join that blue haired woman tomorrow." She told herself.

Alexis considered going to sleep, but decided to check up on Julissa, she had been through a lot after all. Alexis was slightly annoyed when she found out that Jules wasn't in the church. "Where did that girl run off too." She grumbled while exiting the church, her fencing sword in hand.

She then overheard some people talking. They seemed to be pointing at some sort of barricade. She also heard the word medic. "Jules is in there, for sure...dammit." She said before rushing in after her. Alexis ignored anyone who shouted warnings to her, and entered the corrupted corner. It wasn't hard to spot Jules, and her large companion, they were up against some sort of strange monster.

It's hair was long, and it's eyes were bloodshot red. It bore wings, and had talons like an eagle...a true abomination. Alexis rushed in front of the beast, and swung her blade. "Julissa, please try to stay out of trouble" she said, her face as emotionless as ever.

1602689260905.pngMeanwhile, the corrupted that were snooping around the rebel base would find 2 people who were suppose to be guarding the base. However, they decided that instead of doing their job, they decided to drink. "What the hell! what is this stuff! Burns like fire!" One of them complained. He had dark skin, and black hair, and ca ears. He handed his companion the jar he drank out of, and she smiled at him. She had white hair, and blue skin, with tattoos on her arms and back.

"Your so dramatic! It can't be that bad." She said before taking a swig herself. "Oh yeah...that'll but some hair on yer chest." She chuckled. Her feline friend snorted before taking a swig out of a different bottle. "Aren't we suppose to be on guard duty?" He asked. "That's exactly what we're doin! But ain't nobody 'round here that needs pummeling, and we gotta live a lil!" The Oni stated, before downing more of whatever was in the jar.

"Ophelia's gonna have your head when she realizes that your drinking on the job, Silv." He said in a fearful tone. Silv clapped him on the back, "Listen Z, your as drunk as I am. I ain't gon snitch, but if you do...I'm takin ya down with me." She said in a unnaturally happy tone. Z nodded, and went back to his drink.

(Be careful corrupted babies, if you get caught, it won't end well for you~)

Alexander Sullivan

Well... shit

If Alex didn't say it out loud, it didn't count for the swear jar. That's the rule, and he was sticking to it. Perhaps in light of current circumstances there should be things that the young man -- wolf -- could concern himself with, but sometimes the mind just needed a semblance of normalcy. Not only had he just found himself in some wild, fantasy world, but Al had gone through a more sudden and drastic physical change than he did during puberty.

There was a lot more hair and a lot more muscle the second time around, that was for damn sure...

Following after their hostess, Al felt his blood roaring in his ears as his heart pumped in anticipation. Thick fingers rose to the Saint Christopher that hung snugly around the trunk of his neck, dark claws rasping in a low hush against the embossed metal. It had been a long while since Al had attended church, and in this strange place, there were likely other gods and devils in residence, if his books and the cathedral were any indication. Still, it couldn't hurt.

Moving with the small, impromptu posse, the talk of medical aid and monsters conjured up images of beating back a gang of goblins. How hard could that be? Al had been training his whole life for beating the snot out of a goblin. In moving through the cobbled streets, Al snatched up a broom that had been left on someone's porch. He told himself that he'd return it as he pulled off the twine-bundled sweep of the broom, leaving him with a hefty stick. Coming to the barricaded door, Alex scratched his head furiously, trying to find a way around when Alexis just slipped through.

"Wait, no-" She was gone before Al could finish. Steeling himself, pumping himself up with a few breaths, he charged he bulk against the planks. He felt something in him surge, making him feel like a freaking cannonball as he crashed through, stumbled, then managed to catch himself. What he saw, was in fact, not a goblin at all.

"What in the fuckity-fuck is that?!" He spat, coming out in a low lupine yowl as he clutched the improvised stave tight. Once he figured out what passed for a buck, Al would put two in a new swear jar, but for now, he was staring down something that looked like some mid-90s anime horror monstrosity. There are simply some things that should not be. Metallica wrote a song about it, and Alex was pretty sure the ugly bastard down the line definitely fit the bill.

It was the crude oil of nightmare fuel, and between his mind reeling in sudden, seizing fear and the rush of adrenaline in his veins, the young wolf's hands shook as his ears flagged back, tail tucked. Damn it, he couldn't even pretend to be brave. The spindly little gal with the sword had even mustered herself and charged into the fray while Alex remained flatfooted. Gulping down the ball of apprehension in his throat, Alex rolled his broad shoulders and shook out his hands, grabbing a big handful of detritus from the barricade.

A hefty rock about the size of his head. Classic.

Moving with considerably less grace than Alexis, Al hustled around to the flank of the beast, a good few yards away and...

"Hey! D-Dickhead!" He called, voice cracking, throat dry as bone with terror. "Y-yeah! You!" Al then threw the rock with all the force of a college league fastball pitch at the monster's head.

"Over here, you... you dick!"

Christ, Al was going to be broke if he lived through this.

-Chelsey had thought that they weren't going to follow. And she was fine with that; this wasn't anything she hadn't done before. She had always had to get the kids out of stupid situations, so this was nothing new. But then she heard the thump of feet and the batting sound of wings. The butterfly girl had offered to lead them. She fell behind so the flying creature could take the way. By the way this girl was talking this wasn't going to be anything like back home. Her voice and hands were shaking. She was obviously scared. Chelsey looked around as they walked; she needed something to hold. Like a stick of some sorts. She looked around and swiped a metal crowbar from the side of someone's house. It wasn't much of anything, but it made her feel better. I mean she was walking next to a gigantic beast, so the crowbar was nothing really. But she still felt a sense of comfort when she was able to hold something. So she kept it in her hands.-

-Then huge black doors came into view. It was bigger than anything combined. Well maybe not Anything, but they were really big. She took a step back looking at the huge doors, and she saw a piece of fabric slip through the doors. The girl! She shakes her head and steps forward, but not before her roommate does. He just barrels through the doors like it was nothing. Her eyes widen in surprise. Wow okay. Just walk right through. She thinks to herself as she walks through the giant whole in the door. She watches the group as she steps over splinters of wood. But then she hears something strange; she looks up and freezes. "What in the name?" Was all she was able to mutter. While the girl goes forward swinging at the fluid beast, and the wolf greets himself to some cuss words. She shakes her head snapping her attention to the girl laying on the floor. She takes a few steps forward and grabs her from under her arms. She tries to pull her away from the miniature fight, but she seem to have lost some muscle in the transformation. She groans frustrated and looks to the girl. Hopefully she can get herself up from here. Chelsey looks back to the wolf boy, but he's still... Oop neverminded he's grabbing wood? And in a flash he hurls it at the beast; she has to quickly duck to get out of the way. She stands up straight and sets a soft glare on him, but who could blame him. There was a creature of fairytale right there.-

-On the outside Chelsey seemed calm and collected, but in reality she was freaking out. She had read so many books in her lifetime. That of witches and made up lands, and she was right in her bedtime story books. This whole situation had her rattled, and now she was faced with a life threatening situation. Her mind was riddled with thoughts of despair. What am I to do? How am I supposed to get through this? What happened to Michael and Jessie? Were they alright on their own? They've never been without me for more than three hours. And now I have disappeared; are they going to be okay? Each thought led her deeper into her emotional confusion. She was calm composed and quiet always; that would never change. On the outside, but on the in she led these thoughts of uncertainty deeper into her mind. She dwelled on it and let it consume her. But now was no time for worry; she needed to be focused. If not for Jules; then for Jessie and Michael. She took a deep breath withdrawing from her mind and coming back into reality. Whatever happened next she was ready to face it.-
