You walk over to the sleepy cat.
She just lays there, purring and wagging her tail from time to time.
She likes to keep you company here when you aren't out with your friends!
She doesn't do much...




Mewo notices you staring at her, so she replies with a curious meow!

MEWO: "Meow? (Waiting for something to happen...?)"

You appreciate her presence~

She doesn't say anything else...

You keep your desktop and taskbar clean of any applications, your trash remains empty as well.

You click start and decide to check your journal.

You stand in front of the LIGHTBULB.






The LIGHTBULB hangs from the ceiling, wherever it is.
It is attached to a very thin chord, your eyes try to follow it to the ceiling but upon inspection you realize...
there is no ceiling... at least not one close enough to see.
It is crazy how your mind plays tricks on you, you could be in a room every day for years without bothering to look up, you just assume something that is meant to be there will be there.




[You look into the bulb...]



It's pitch black inside. You can't see a thing.

You step away from the LIGHTBULB and let your eyes readjust before walking back to the center of the room.

You begin walking in the direction of the noise.





You walk outwards into the white expanse for a few moments before something catches your eye...
It's a KNIFE!
An eerie feeling of safety overwhelms you as you inch closer towards the KNIFE.




[You got a SHINY KNIFE.]

You notice a PALE HAND crawling on the ground.
It glows red.
As you pick up the SHINY KNIFE, the hand makes a dash towards you!



Before you have time to react, the PALE HAND grabs your ankle.
Everything fades to white and you appear back in your safety square.
These gatekeepers have annoyed you for a long time, they never let you stray too far in the WHITE ROOM.

You are fine with this, however, as you know there is one other place you can go to...

The WHITE DOOR...



You slowly reach out and swing the door open...

Upon walking through the door, you are greeted with another room.
In the center of the room, there are three people playing cards...
That is until one of them runs over to you, tripping over the cards en route.





AUBREY

"Hi OMORI! We were hoping that you'd come by soon.
Wanna play cards with us?
We were just about to start another game!"

This is AUBREY, one of your friends!
She really likes you and tries her best to be friendly with everyone!

She just invited you to play with everyone else but a boy about your age lets out a grumble behind AUBREY...


AUBREY

"Oh! Whoops... Nevermind..."

Aubrey says, acknowledging that she just ruined the ongoing game.




KEL

"Aww, man... What the heck, AUBREY!?
You messed up all the cards!
I was winning too!"

This is KEL, another one of your friends! He is pretty hot-headed but you two get along just fine!




HERO

"Hey there, KEL. There's no need to get angry.
It's just a game, after all"

And that is HERO! He is the oldest in your group, also the peacekeeper.



KEL

"Don't give me that HERO!
You only say that 'cause you were losing."

HERO

"..."

The room is silent for a moment and AUBREY rejoins the group.



There are toys and games scattered all over the room.
A movie is playing on the TV! It shows four boys walking on a railroad track.
A snake hisses on the stairs.
A giant GOLDEN CAT is watching over the room, it's eyes seem to follow you.


Aubrey seems upset over something...

You quickly jump back and are about to scream before you notice something white and puffy protruding out from it!

This is just a pillow!
You can hear KEL chuckling behind you...


KEL

"Bwhahaha!!
I told you it'd get him HERO!"

HERO

"Hey don't bring me into it, this was your idea..."

Your heart rate begins to return to normal and you continue your perilous journey to the PICTURE!




You have finally arrived!
You examine the picture...

A photo of someone familiar.
You try to discern who it is but it makes your stomach feel queasy...
You think it's best to forget about it for now and hope you remember later.

He just kind of hangs around whilst you and your friends play!

"Ssssssss.... (Waiting for something to happen?)

Well, might as well check on AUBREY now...

You walk over to AUBREY.
She has an upset look on her face and her eyes seem to be searching for something.




AUBREY

"Why is KEL always so mean to me!?
You know, the other day, that good-for-nothing stole my STUFFED TOY and hid it somewhere in this room!"

She balls her fists.


AUBREY

"Why would he do something like that? He's so immature...
I mean what did I ever do to him!?"

She thinks for a moment, and then her face seems to beam!

AUBREY

"Oh, I know! Can you find my STUFFED TOY for me, OMORI?
Pretty Please?"

Well isn't that a coincidence! You happened upon it in an unfortunate WATERMELON related accident!
KEL must've hidden it inside!
How did KEL even manage that...

You reach into your pocket and pull out the STUFFED TOY.



You hold it out to AUBREY.


AUBREY

"I-is that...? Could it be...?"

AUBREY snatches the STUFFED TOY from you.


AUBREY

"Hey KEL look! It's my STUFFED TOY!"

Kel looks surprised!


KEL

"W-what the heck?! Where'd you get that?

Aubrey giggles.


AUBREY

"OMORI found it!
Lucky for me, I've got some real friends!"

HERO shakes his head.


HERO

"Serves you right, KEL.
You should know better than to pick on others."

KEL looks down at the ground.


KEL

"But AUBREY started it...
She was the one making fun of me for the mole on my..."

AUBREY smirks...


AUBREY

"On your... what?"

KEL gulps hard.


KEL

Hero sighs.


HERO

"AUBREY..."

AUBREY gets the hint.

AUBREY

"Fine..."

HERO clears his throat and everyone settles down.
He then shifts his focus to you.


HERO

"Phew, glad thats settled.
Those two always seem to be bumping heads."

He's right, partly because of KEL's hot-headedness and partly because of AUBREY's teasing nature.

"Alright everyone! So today MARI and BASIL have invited us for a picnic at the playground!
So we can play another game, with OMORI this time, or we could just head out!"

With that, you lead the group up the stairs but are stopped by the SNAKE.

"SSSsssss... (Going out, OMORI? Well here is your daily allowance!"

The snake coughs up several CLAMS!

KEL snickers.

"Only if you say pleeeeease~"

AUBREY

"KEL! Stop messing around and get. me. out. of. HERE!"

KEL

"Okay, okay... fine!"

KEL runs over to AUBREY and gives her a really hard pull.

"Hmph! Took you long enough!"

You see a small berm with an impossibly high ladder sitting atop, seeming to defy all known laws of physics.



You approach the ladder but begin shivering and you feel slightly nauseous.

[YOU ARE AFRAID OF HEIGHTS.]

"Ah... I think we went the wrong way.
No worries, OMORI!
It is really easy to get lost in this place."

HERO comforts you.

You walk back to the CENTER and decide to head UP!

You make your way through another thin path of trees!
The ground slowly transitions from grass to sand and you finally reach the opening!
You have arrived at...

The BEACH!
