WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE

SETTING

This is the first party since the witches joined the vampires at the School of Night and of course, it's on the best night possible...Halloween. Every year on Halloween the humans have their parties with all the costumes, the haunted houses, spooky decorations, and so on. The supernatural are no exception to the Halloween shenanigans because who doesn't like a good party? Of course, they do things a little bit differently. Some still dress up in costumes, decorations are a little more magical and things can get quite dark, even bloody. Let's just say they like to go the extra mile around here. It is their own holiday after all, isn't it? You've been invited to the biggest party of the year. Come at your own risk!

It's obviously October 31st on a Saturday! 9 pm. The weather is cold but not quite freezing.

PLOT REMINDER

Vampires and witches have never seen eye to eye on just about anything. Over the years, there have been disagreements, wars, and strife between the two groups. They're not the only supernatural species to exist, but they seem to hate each other the most. There are witch covens everywhere, as well as vampire clans. In the sunny fields of California, one witch school has a new Headmistress who has been in contact with the vampire Headmaster of the School of Night in the mountains of Virginia. For the first time in forever, these two leaders have decided to try and see if there can be peace between the species.

So a group of witches from this school will be packing their bags and heading cross country to the School of Night. Their Headmistress has given them permission to protect themselves, though the Headmaster from the School of Night has reassured them they will be safe. Their only goal in mind is peace between the species, and the visiting witches will be treated with the utmost respect.

What both Headmaster and Headmistress don't know is that there are groups out there who have formed to stop this from happening. They're determined to destroy the project, at any cost. Can there be peace? Or will this all end in bloodshed?

Angelika VesperAngelika had been struggling over this for an hour. She had a costume, of course - what girl her (technical) age didn't on a night like tonight - but did she really want this to be the impression she made to the classmates she'd been with for two weeks now? With a sigh, she threw her backup outfit down and pulled on the costume anyway, save for the gloves and hood thing. She didn't know much about DC, but she knew Catwoman was certainly the gal to be.

With that settled, she was ready to join the party. It was nippy outside, but she could handle that, theoretically. What she wasn't able to handle was socializing with another species that supposedly hated hers - despite the amount of time she'd had to do so. Before this year, she had only encountered one warlock before, but he hadn't been after her, and since then, nothing. For all she knew, this was completely blown out of proportion, but she'd been here long enough to know that wasn't the case. Still, the tension in the air between the vamps and the witches was hard to deny, so perhaps there was some truth to the stories after all.

Not many others had arrived yet as far as she could tell, so Angel stuck to the sidelines, keeping her eyes out for either of her two closer friends, Miranda and Westly. Maybe one of them would have her back at this party, or at the very least would make sure she didn't completely embarrass herself.

She sighed. Man, was she dumb. Why did she come all by herself?

The date was sometime in summer. A day that no one kept track of because....well, who the hell counts the days of summer? A rousing college party on a sunny Southern California shore was playing out that day, the mist of the ocean, calling seagulls, and the water shimmering in a display of dazzling light thanks to the sun's beloved "golden hour". A group of young adults celebrated the day with sun, splash, and revelry. It was almost picture perfect. The typical American college summer break fun. Girls were sun kissed in their bikinis and posing for potential insta-famous selfies, shirtless boys tossed a football around barefooted in the hot sand, and alcoholic drinks were going around like it was sweet ambrosia sent straight from the gods. Everyone, in that moment, felt....infinite. Even Blake, a girl who would much rather stay home alone in a loose pair of shorts and an off-the-shoulder tee, seemed to glow with joy. Bouncy, peppy, pop music bumped from a speaker that sat on a table that was set for another round of beer pong and sort of sticky from the last. This was Blake's first game, and she actually found it fun. With a lucky shot, she ended the game with a win, and those surrounding her, rooting for the rookie, roared in victory. She received several fist bumps and pats on the shoulder, to which she sheepishly smiled and turned her face downward to hide her fluster. Her only friend approached her with a drink in hand, urging that she drink to celebrate her first victory. And thats exactly what Blake did. She threw caution to the wind and said, "Why the hell not," before grabbing the drink and taking a decent (first) sip. This moment, the only time she's ever participated in a party, she will never forget...

Fastforward to the present and we have a debating Blake standing outside of the hall this Halloween bash was supposed to take place. It was freezing, at least to her. The hesitant witch sighed with the sudden, looming feeling of homesickness, "Even in the fall, California wasn't this cold," she thought. However, she did have to give it to the, apparently, experienced decorators for this party, even the outside looked like something out of a decorating home magazine for stay-at-home moms with too much time on their hands. "I could just.....not...go." she contemplated. She could already hear Daisy, her only friend that she left back in California, in her head yelling at her for even thinking that. It was her, during a phone call, who convinced her to go anyway, and even more so dress up....sort of. Blake wore a silver/white haired wig with a floral head band and a fake nose ring. She had a loose grey shirt with a deep v-neck collar and a pleather corset/lace-up bodice to cinch her petite waist. For bottoms she had on a black, flowy skirt that reached the floor with a slit that climbed up high on her right thigh, almost reaching her hip. Complete with some laced, heeled boots to add some height and voíla! A "modern gypsy", as Blake calls it, but it was more like a DIY, "I don't dress up for Halloween but lemme see what I got in the closet" kind of costume.
1590794188221.png
"Its just a party....like the summer one!" she tried to talk herself into following through with this. With a huff and a "fuck it" attitude that she somehow managed to scrape together, Blake entered the party. Almost immediately she could feel the vibrations of the music thump in her chest. Her heart beat synced with the bass and it felt kinda good. When she walked through the doors, Blake stopped to take it all in and observe. There were more people than she thought, too many to count, and a beautiful table had all sorts of snacks and beverages spread out. Snacks, the first place a socially awkward individual clings to when they don't know how to converse with any one. Why? because when you eat, you don't talk, its the perfect hiding spot. The witch plucked a napkin from the table and glanced over the offerings. What to choose, what to choose. Suddenly Blake remembered a very important fact that she, to her surprise, had forgotten about. There were Vampires in here too. With haste, Blake picked up a little bit of anything, she wanted to find a safe corner, and quick... She had settled into The School of Night a couple weeks ago, but she avoided bumping into anyone that was a Vampire when ever she could. However, at this event, both witches and vampires were mixed, that was the point. The lectures and warnings of her aunt back home seemed to echo in her head....

Reaper

keywardrobe.jpg
Halloween was special, in more ways than one. The most significant reason, it was Reaper's favorite holiday. Dressing up most of the other days of the year didn't lessen his appreciation. This was the day when so many others dressed up, and maybe realized how much damn fun it was.

Reaper didn't like others to see him change, or see his outfit before it was ready. He wanted to make sure no one else would be in the room first, which wasn't too difficult. Had he even seen who his room mate was yet? No. He hadn't been in his room a whole lot the last two weeks, anyway. It was too much fun peeping around corners, and generally stalking the new arrivals. Honestly, he didn't care who were his room mates, as long as they didn't mess with the wardrobe along his side of the room without asking first.

It was a special piece of furniture, and he had paid quite a bit to have the wood and metal furniture enchanted. He had needed a place for all his costumes, and 'normal' clothing. Reaper knew sharing a closet with one or two room mates would simply not do. Now he had his own 'closet' and the inside was slightly larger, allowing for a few racks of clothing, and a small space where he could actually change his clothes in privacy.

So, it was inside his wardrobe where Reaper chose his outfit for the Halloween party. Truth be told, he had been a bit mild the last two weeks, letting the newbies settle in a little. Too soon to test their mettle, really, but that would change after tonight. Reaper was going to let his inside out.

hydehalloween8.jpg
Tonight's outfit was going to be a small taste of what was to come. Honestly, it was one of the more recognizable cosplays he had, and loved every inch of it. Harley fucking Quinn, baby. He even had a bat, used it in the past as well, but tonight it would be purely ornamental. Well, that was the intention, at least.

Stepping out of the wardrobe with his 3" platform shoes, Reaper held the bat over a shoulder while leaning in close to the mirror on the inside of one door. A finger on his left hand checked the lipstick before blowing a kiss at his reflection. Wardrobe closed, a five foot seven Harley Quinn sauntered out of the bedroom and toward where the festivities would be. There was just enough of a chill in the air to make Reaper shiver.

Damn, he liked that. Licking his fangs, "Harley" made for the building where the party was, enjoying the cold bite washing over his exposed skin. He kicked in the door to the party with a growl. Okay, it was already ajar and just a small kick, really small. Reaper purred as he struck a pose while outlined in the doorway.

"Who does a girl have to kill around here to get a decent bloody Mary?"

Piers Harlow - Vampire ;
ca47c2a04163e1778aa960e69cda620a.jpg
Halloween wasn't something special for Piers, viewing the spooky bash just the need to drink and spend the hours dwindled amongst shots and whatever shenanigans happened to coincide on such a night. Through the years, he retreated within the confines of his home, book in handy and cosied up to the world of letters, sentence, a fantasy that was beckoned over each page, crinkled with affection and use. But tonight, Piers was out amongst the throngs of costumes, a delightful horror of varying colours and shade - merriment that oozed into the ambience of the evening and was hard to deny his party spirit, thumping in tune with the music. It was manging to him out the more social side, emerging him with a tiny twitch at his lips, framed with a muted expression that accompanied his eyes. A little cease, folding down the narrowed outline of his green emerald eyes,

Outfits hadn't been his forte, and nor was fashion, delightfully dull in his Julius Ceaser costume - would he truly be a history nerd without donning him to represent his love for the past? Complete with the fake gold strapped against his forearms, and golden leaves that encircled around his forehead, dotted with flecks of gold - brushing against his cheeks, suggesting that Piers may have been a little cheap with the purchase. At least the sheet was roomy, breezy, wandering around with the brown sandals— something he found in a bargain bin, but a little tight. A man of his stature was always going to struggle to find the appropriate footwear. Towering over the converging crowds was somewhat fun in itself, his head, tilting and scanning the endless faces that danced. This was his first party in the first century—books and tv shows gave him a glimpse on what a cliche party was supposed to be, and thought that was an overestimation on the party culture. But finding himself planted here, and now, there was a certain truth to what he read and saw. Something even his own eyes couldn't deny, flickering with a little subtle flair of nervousness; the concept was so alien that he found himself, every few seconds, checking his surroundings.

Still, Piers wasn't touching the vibrant display of alcoholic drinks, preferring to pick up a fresh glass of water, tonic water— only thing that was likely to be around without making his stomach wanna flip outside. He vaguely knew the taste of whisky, a few sips when he was young, raiding the stash of his father, so long ago. A needy teenager that wanted a taste of rebellion, sharp and burned against the insides of his throat, the memory was a bit pleasant to recall.

A time where Piers knew that life was simple and he hadn't known that then,

His fingers clenched against the class, unconsciously, as the water sloshed and felt the need to calm himself down. Nursing the water down through his lips, reaffirming his location— party, okay, Witches and Vampires. Skirting to the outside seemed to be the safest option, avoiding the deadly centre of writhing bodies and getting tangled in the mass of someone else's limbs. His eyes blinked, hearing the new voice, curtly, huh, that was new on him, bold and daring. It was a much-needed knock out of his head,

"I guess I am in for all types of fun," He murmured, as a husky chuckle was strung from his throat, the first time actually this evening.

The bathroom filled with strawberry-scented mist as the brunette slid open the shower door and stepped out. A soft soundtrack of acoustic rock played in the background, creating a rather relaxing atmosphere like that in a spa. But that didn't mean her guard would be let down. Wrapped in a soft, lavender bath towel with another twisted into her hair, Cassidy Moreno took a moment to glance around the small room, a habit caused by the constant anxiety that came with being a witch on the hunt. It was something she had dealt with ever since she found about what she truly was all those years ago. Satisfied that the rest of her bathroom was empty, Cassidy let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding and continued to get ready for the evening.

Cassidy and her brother, Declan, had just moved into their new 'home' a few weeks prior, having taken a bus ride with the other witches from their previous school all the way to the vampire's lair. When Cassidy had originally been chosen for the transfer, a stupid attempt at settling a long-lasting feud between vampires and witches, she had been appalled, had blatantly refused to go. How could forcing a bunch of vampire and witches to coexist possibly fix a rivalry centuries in the making anyway? But after some deliberation, Cassie realized that the School of Night could be the perfect place to prepare for her life's mission: finding the vampire that killed her parents, and taking him down. By interacting with the vampires, she could learn about them, their weaknesses, their strengths, how to counteract their special abilities. It was the perfect way to train, and she was actually excited for it, in a morbid way.

With a fluid flick over her wrist, water droplets seemed to levitate from Cassidy's skin and hair before collecting in the basin of the sink to flow down the drain. While she struggled with other types of magic, the manipulation of water and all its forms had come easy to Cass, as though she had been born out of the sea. Her brother, on the other hand, had an affinity towards the flora and earth of the world. Their parents had always said it was one of the reasons the siblings blended so well together: their natures complimented and strengthened each other. Cassidy, however, couldn't help but think their magic preferences were simply based on their personalities, her brother's down-to-earth discipline and her icy intuition. Either way, her brother was the only person left in the world that she trusted, though she would never admit it.

Once dry, the brunette witch decided to get ready for the party that was being held that evening. It was the School of Night's rather sad attempt at forcing the students to mingle with one another, even though their classes and mixed-species co-ed living situations already seemed to check that box. Cassie had been avoiding her own roommate like the plague, making sure that when he was in the room, she wasn't and vice versa. Well, aside from when she needed to sleep anyway. He was a vampire, and she wasn't all that ready to 'play nice.' So, dressed in her "costume," which was just her own clothes with a fancy name, Cassidy shot out of the bathroom and her bedroom, making a beeline towards the building where the party was held. Once there, she didn't even pause to look around for her brother before taking a seat at the bar. If there was any way she was could to make it through the evening, it would be alcohol and potentially something a little lest legal. Glancing at the bartender, she offered him a pretty smile before saying, "I'll take the strongest Manhattan you can make."

The sounds of tiny clicks clattered away as the blonde man's fingers sped across the keys in rapid succession. Blue eyes stared intently at the screen of the laptop, reading the words as they appeared. Pausing momentarily only to proofread the email for any glaring mistakes, Declan hit the 'send' button and the message was flung out into the interwebs to be delivered. Dec pulled his reading glasses from his face, setting them on the table beside him before rubbing his eyes. He was fairly tired, to be honest, especially after a long night of training with Cassidy the evening before and the uncomfortable mattress in his room that he had yet to get used to. His sister and he tended to train well into the evening hours, wanting to absorb as much power from the moon as they could. Cassie had a determination that was unmatched, at least by him. So the one more exhausted after all was said and done was Declan.

The computer made a soft, dinging noise, alerting the blonde to a reply email that had just entered his email box. Cassidy might not realize it, but Declan was working on a lot of research to find the vampire that killed their parents. They were lucky in that their parents had left them a large enough inheritance to live off of for quite some time, with the help of life insurance policies, stocks, bonds, and savings. How else would they afford the fairly pricey witch school that they had attended up until their recent transfer to the School of Night? Nevertheless, money didn't make them good witches. Seeing the mistakes that his parents had made, and how they had cost them their lives, Dec refused to ever put Cassidy or himself into situations where they were not prepared.

Deciding to stretch his legs a bit, the blonde man stood from the table in the study area and moved over to the counter where a steaming coffee pot sat. He had wanted to get a little bit of research in before the party, knowing that once classes began to pick up, he would be much more busy with school and have less time for digging. Declan fixed a cup of coffee with a bit of cream and sugar before drinking nearly a third of the cup. He needed the caffeine, needed the liquid energy if he was going to make it through the evening. Putting his reading glasses back on, the blonde warlock read the response email he had just received with distaste. This had been the seventh warlock to tell him they had no intel, no information, no anything that could help him and Cassidy in their endeavors. Dec knew his sister, knew how stubborn she was, knew that when she set her mind to something, the only way to pull her from it was to see it through. "Son of a..." the man muttered under his breath, trailing off. With an annoyed sigh, Declan closed the laptop and slid it back into his backpack.

Ascending the stairs towards the room he had been assigned, Declan barely caught sight of his sister practically sprinting out of the building with lightning speed. She didn't seem like she was in trouble or anything, so he squelched the protective older brother in him and decided to ignore it. Checking his watch, Declan realized that he was running late, and needed to get changed before he was too late to the Halloween party. Though Declan was a warlock and he knew of the feud between his kind and the vampires, he couldn't say that despised 100% of their kind. Like witches and warlocks, he believed there were both good and evil vampires. But Declan would never tell his sister that. He tossed his backpack on to the forest green comforter on his bed, changing into something a little bit more appropriate and definitely less worn before he too took off towards the party's location. He could hear the music and smell the alcohol before he even entered the building, a small smirked playing on the corners of his lips. Though his sister sat at the bar, Dec couldn't deny the snack table that was calling his name. He recognized Blake, another witch, standing nearby and sidled up alongside her to assess the platters. "Anything look particularly good?"

Miranda Sinclaire
v a m p i r e
Miranda had been looking forward to this night for weeks. In fact, it had always been one of her favorite holidays due to the wild parties and unlimited candy. The dressing up was just a bonus. She'd chosen to unleash her inner persona this year and go with something a little darker than last year's playboy thing. Adding a deep red lipstick to really set the whole thing off she smirked, satisfied. She and Arya had planned on arriving together so she made her way down the hall to the girl's room. The pair became friends as soon as they'd met and time had only strengthened that bond. She wished they could've roomed together but picking their own roommates wasn't an option. Instead, she was with Scarlette. Not that she had a problem with the little witch, actually she liked the girl so far but whatever.

"Look at you! You definitely topped last year with this one, Arya. I love it," she winked as she leaned against the door frame. She and Arya had always made sure to keep their costumes secret from each other so they could surprise each other with their looks. It had become somewhat of a tradition between them. They did tell each other what they were going as so they didn't dress the same but they never showed each other until the night of. "What do you think?" she asked, standing up straight before doing a twirl that ended in a cliche pose. "Come on! I'm ready to show off and have a drink already," she added with a laugh. She was truly excited about this party especially because it was the first one with the species mingling and she was in the mood for some trouble.

scarlette.
more than just a pretty face.
Halloween.

Honestly, the holiday brought a smile to Scarlette's face. She considered it a celebration, both for the living and the dead. Not to mention-- it was fun to dress up, and who didn't like candy? She'd loved the holiday since she was a little girl, and her love for it had only grown throughout the years. She had decided to go with something a little different this year, however. Instead of dressing up as someone from a movie or just going with something classic (i.e.; sexy nurse, playboy bunny), she'd just found an outfit she liked.

Currently, the brunette stood in front of the floor length mirror in the room she shared with Miranda, though the blonde vampire had already left the room. The vampire didn't bother Scar in the slightest; in fact, Scarlette thought that maybe they could be friends. That was the point of this whole ordeal, after all, was to bridge the divide between vampires and witches. Scarlette was all for that, though she wasn't naive enough to believe everyone felt the same.

With a wave of her hand, she took her pointer finger and placed it gently on the roots of her brown hair. As she watched, a blue smoke-like substance began to cloud around her finger. It worked its way around the brown strands of her hair until she looked like a smokey version of Medusa. Dropping her finger, she gave her head a good shake, and when she finally looked at herself in the mirror again her once brown locks had taken on a ocean-blue hue.

"Perfect." Stepping back from her reflection, she placed her hands on her hips and studied the rest of the look. Satisfied, she turned away from her reflection and headed out of the room, shutting the lights off on her way out of the door. The walk from the house the witches and some of the vampires were staying in to the party building wasn't a long one, and she could easily tell the party had traveled outside for some.

With her head held high, she made sure to make eye contact with those who looked her way as she made her way inside. She didn't slow as she entered, though she did look around, spotting some familiar faces. Finding a particularly sour looking one, she uttered a soft laugh as she headed in that direction. She paused by the snack table, grabbing a handful of candy before turning to head in the same direction as before.

Upon reaching Alec, she tapped him on the shoulder, reaching for his hand and slipping the candy into it. "Happy halloween, goggle man." She meant the phrase as a tease, considering she knew he wore them all year round. "Enjoying yourself? I thought the candy might help."

Bellamy Spellman

Ezra Miller for Playboy - photos by Ryan Pfluger (With images ...

So far so good. Since coming to this new school full of vampires, no warlock or witch had been bitten or mauled, and that was the best news that anyone could ask for. It meant that not only were the people here...decent, but that the stories about vampires being crazed bloodsuckers weren’t entirely true. While he hadn’t met many of the school’s immortal student population, those Bellamy had passed in the halls or shared class with were very good representations of their species. His roommate Arya for example was a vampire and a pretty sweet person, so there was still hope for the rest of her kin to be that way too. His room situation was ok, he didn’t have anything to complain about just yet, in fact he actually enjoyed the company of both his roommates, one of which was a witch. They hadn't been very close prior to their coming here, but he hoped to become friends with her at least now that they were here and so far from home.
The announcement of a Halloween party did and didn’t surprise Bellamy. He had expected some sort of dark, gruesome affair in which the vampires would do something gross with the blood of humans, but instead it was just a party, which he also expected to happen, just after the blood and stuff. He’d spent the past few days trying to decide what to go as while still trying to focus on his school work and magic studies, but even now on the day of the party, he didn’t have a costume. So as he strolled up to the entrance dressed in some of his common street clothes, he felt so out of place. People going inside were dressed either in really great costumes, or costumes that were really great for earning a little cash as a sex worker. He was certainly out of place in his black outfit with two shirts on.
“Thanks a lot farm life.” Even having moved to a very inclusive school of witches back in California, Bellamy still had trouble fitting in with others after having spent so much time isolated on a farm with his parents. He was still learning. “Well, better go inside before someone thinks I’m out here casting hexes.” Bellamy smirked and ran his fingers through his hair before he took that first step forward and crossed the threshold. With any luck he’d see Arya and or Magnolia and get to follow them around. A cute guy would be nice too though, but who was he kidding. Right away he headed towards the drinks.

antonio.
i dont live in darkness. darkness lives in me.
Antonio had been at the party for a while already, mingling with people and lingering around the edges of the party room. The witches had arrived a few weeks ago, but this was the first time they were partying together, and Antonio was determined to make it a night they'd never forget. He had more than one trick up his sleeve for the night, he just needed to find his first target. There were so many options, though; how would he ever decide?

It wasn't as though he hated witches. He respected their power, even if it was unpredictable. He didn't like not knowing what they could pull out of their ass, but he was sure he could outrun whatever piddly spell they threw his way. With his speed and strength, he didn't doubt that he could handle himself against a witch. He did have a small doubt that a group of witches might be a different story, but he wouldn't admit that to anyone.

He wondered where his two favorite vampiresses were, excited to see how they'd chosen to dress up this year. He had a sort-of thing with both of them, or at least he had in the past. Nothing serious had come of either one, and now they were more like siblings. Well, almost. He wouldn't sleep with his real sister, but the two of them? Definitely still a possibility. And the two of them together? Well, what a dream come true.

Smirking at the direction his thoughts had taken, he looked around again, spotting a familiar face at the bar. He heard her order "the strongest Manhatten" the bartender could make, and he give a little shake of his head. The little witch intrigued him, he wouldn't deny that. But she intrigued him like a plaything could; like a mouse, and he was the cat.

The bartender went to hand her the drink and Antonio used his speed to race over there, reaching to take the drink before she could. Ending up on the stool beside her, he held the drink up, just slightly out of her reach, unless she wanted to lean into him. "Evening, petit combattant [little fighter]." Using French just because he could, he grinned down at her through the smudged khol on his eyes. "How do you fare this evening?"

Only the final touches were needed now. Roll up the sleeves, attach suspenders, throw some pomade to keep the hair looking poised. Jonah finished getting ready in his room, standing in front of the body mirror with the sleeves of his dress shirt rolled up to his elbows, showing off his toned forearms. After fidgeting with his hair some more, he took a deep breath and stared into the mirror turning his head side to side to make sure he shaved his jawline evenly. He didn't have much facial hair to begin with, cursed with a baby face that he hated so, but it was good to be careful, right? "Wait," he snapped his fingers and leaned over and grabbed a paperboy hat that sat on his bed and put it on, "Almost forgot the hat." At last he was ready to attended the Halloween Party. Jonah went for a classy, 1920's mobster, looking like he came straight out of Boardwalk Empire, complete with pinstripe slacks, a pocket watch, and wing tip Oxford shoes. He was arriving a little late to the party, but only because he was lending a hand to the group of individuals that were in charge of putting up the decorations. He was excited to see how it turned out, and walked at a quicker pace to get to the festivities.

Jonah entered the large hall and was actually quite satisfied with the outcome. More bodies turned up than he anticipated, and so far none of the decorations were falling apart, the lights were still functioning, all checked out. However, he wasn't too happy with how naturally people were forming cliques. The new witches and warlocks seemed to gravitate toward each other, while the vampires also kept to themselves. There were a few people that stepped outside of the barrier and had some small talk with the other, but the number was too few for his liking. The vampire made a lap around the area, making sure to return a hello or "hey, how's it going," with the other vampires that greeted him, and of course introducing himself to some of the new arrivals. He had a charming smile, even with the large incisors, and kind eyes, Jonah had an approachable face and hoped it'd help the witches and warlocks in the room loosen up a little.

"Jonah!" a feminine voice called out.

The young man felt a firm tug at his arm and took a few steps back to help regain the balance he lost from the momentum that suddenly stopped. Jonah spun around, and before he could say anything the vampire that managed to snatch him batted her fake eyelashes cutely and spoke again, "Can we dance together this time? Pleeeeaaseee?"

Jonah smiled nervously, fixing his hat with one hand and taking a step back for every step she took toward him, "Oh, hey Constance--"

"Just call me Connie! We're not strangers you know," she giggled, and threw her arms around his neck.

"Okay...um, Connie. You see, Im actually here...with....someone...." Jonah lied, he was a terrible liar but he didn't know what else to do. Dishonestly was not in his nature, but he's tried being honest with the girl with her previous advances and she doesn't seem to get it.

"Oh," the girls bubble seemed to burst, her lips that once held a smile now dissipated into a cold, thin line, "Who?" she asked interrogatively.

"O-Oh well....you see, you don't know her--" he started.

"Don't tell me she's a witch," Constance crossed her arms.

"I, well, I-I," Jonah took out his pocket watch he used for the costume and raised his eyebrows in mock-surprise, "Oh she should be here any minute, I gotta go! So sorry, miss," he pecked her hand with his lips to bid adieu and looked for the biggest crowd he could slip through to break her line of sight. Jonah hated that he had to lie to get away, it was way too out of character, so there was only one thing to do: actually find a fake date and just stick close. Or, at least just stand by someone who had absolutely no idea. That seemed like a more probable option.....

(whoo hoo! Jonah post up! not sure why this scenario came into my head but I was feeling it haha)

Reaper

Tags: open | Spirit Serving Station

'Harley' continued to sway those hips, sauntering with sassy sauciness steadfastly straight for a station serving spirits. Say that five times fast, dearies. Setting the tip of the bat down on the floor and using it as a one might wield a cane, Reaper purred, "Bloody Mary. Hold the alcohol, and give it extra Mary, loverly."

While waiting for the drink, he turned so the back was against the drink counter. Arms slowly slid out to either side along the counter, effectively staking space, and leaving the bat in a perfect position for a quick swing. His body slipped into a low lean, an enticing position of criminal proportions, lips twisted in a derisive smirk as he looked through the room. It was amusing, to see if there were clique's already forming, or friendship, or more.

There were the ones who didn't seem to pay attention to anyone else in favor of old familiar faces, those who wanted to know their new room mates better, and others who looked like they'd rather be anywhere but here. Suppose he understood, after all verbal conversation would be difficult, at best, with the loud raucous music. But who came to parties to talk?

A drink was pressed into his hand, fingers curled to claim it quickly. Reaper let his head fall back, so he could see the drink server, albeit upside down more than not. Fangs flashed, and he licked the air in front, half a mind to grab the server's hair and tug him or her into a kiss. Gender didn't matter. Reaper didn't like limitations. Just like Reaper didn't like boring parties. Head lifted, gaze forward, as the red liquid was brought to his lips and tasted.

Oh, purr baby. Purr.

Reaper knew what he was going to do. He was going to finish his bloody Mary, and then get this party started.

Arya Graham
This was exactly the time of the year Arya has been waiting for. Halloween. She has been thinking about the costume for at least two months now and she might have just come up with the best thing yet. Before, she did it all, bunny, witch, cat, sexy pirate, hot sad clown, whatever, you name it, she did it. But this year, she truly wanted to take the costume a bit higher. Somehow, she felt this year required something special.

She was standing in front of the mirror, weaving the top strands of her red locks into an intricate braid, when she failed miserably. “That youtube video looked so much easier.” she growled and let her hair fall down. She was never really good with this delicate finger work or what not. But there was this totally cool video she saw on youtube, like, there was a braid on top of the had and the rest of hair just fell down in big waves. Well, that was not happening tonight. So Arya simply reached for a hair straightener and did her hair in a usual way. Her hair might not be the top notch part but her costume certainly was.

Hearing a familiar voice in the doorway, Arya turned only to see Miranda. Her jaw dropped and eyebrows jumped up. “Well, damn, don’t you look hot?” she commented in awe. “I topped last year? Girl, you’re a snack!” Arya giggled as Mira twirled in the doorway. “Give me a second, almost done here.”

All that was left was the perfect lipstick. And since Arya loved those, she had to rummage through quite a few of them to find that perfect blood-red shade she was looking for. “Matte lipsticks are life.” She muttered under her breath as she tapped it on her lips. One more look in the mirror, a few sprays of a perfume and she was ready to go. “Now I’m ready for that drink.” she chimed and laced her arm in Miranda’s.

Outside was what one might consider a cold October evening. Though Arya was never bothered. The excitement warmed her up nicely as the girls walked towards the building where the party took place. She and Miranda were great friends. Even more. Best ones. And Arya would be forever grateful for the day she and Aiden found Mira and help her hide. Like…having a brother was great but a girl needed her girlfriend. And Mira was it. She was so strong and beautiful and independent…Arya just dreamed to be like her one day. And the fact that she was her friend meant a lot to Arya.

When they entered, both stopped for a while, giving the room a good look-over, receiving some thirsty looks back. Arya knew they looked flawless. Costumes, makeup, hair…all of it was spot-on. But she always enjoyed being appreciated. “Okay, what are we doing? Cocktails, shots or just some casual drinks?” she asked Miranda and immediately headed to the bar.

“This is gonna be sick.” Aiden muttered under his breath with a half smirk on his lips while slicking his currently green hair a bit back. Figuring out the hair was one bitch but thank god Arya helped. But who knew how long it would take to get the dye out. He might just run around the school with that color like an idiot for a few weeks to come. Nah, just fuck it, it was gonna be worth it.

Makeup was another thing he sucked at but that’s what you have little sisters for, don’t you? Until a few days ago, Aiden had no idea what costume he was doing for the party but ever since he found out about Arya’s cosplay, he had the perfect idea. It was overused as hell, not that Aiden cared. But it looked dope and he has always wanted to dress up as Joker so this was like the golden opportunity to do so.

This new setting didn’t bother Aiden at all. A few weeks ago, the witches arrived and Aiden was like, okay, so what? He knew about the feud, of course, but he himself never really had a conflict with a witch or warlock before, nor he ever encountered one for that matter. And so far, it all looked great. Even one of his roommates was a warlock and as far as Aiden was concerned, Ambrose was one of the coolest kids. They kinda hit it off right away. Ambrose simply was Aiden’s people.

Once his face and hair were all in order, Aiden unbuttoned his shirt up to his neck and put on a tie. It was a bit tight but he would totally endure it just to have his costume perfect. The green vest was next and the purple coat. He might be hot later but the coat could go off any time, right?

“Yo, buddy, I’m all done. You coming? Or do I just meet you there?” he asked Ambrose. The third roommate, Key, was already gone and Aiden was wondering if the two troublemakers were going to make the grand arrival together.

In the spirit of being sociable, Piers figured, eventually, he'd need to strap up his toga and approach someone. Unfamiliarity was the devil's drug— flexing his knuckles against the glass cup, reflective droplets that mirrored against the lights and stirred with a myriad of shapes. Rushing the later of the water down his throat, soothed with a small gulp and lips perched together, yet again riding that emotional wave of unpredictability. Setting that down upon the table, cruising through the unknowable faces and other costumes that blended into the background — skirting around outer edges to the crowds wasn't going to make him any more cordial. It was just that Piers never did know what to say or how to act, mimicked little phrases and generally the guy that said yes and nodded his head.

A personality that was a coaster, hell, a cup coaster likely had more to offer than the current stale gaze, circulating the room. Avoiding his roommates had been remarkably simple, staking his home in the library and always, always, getting up at the most absurd times to slip out the door, he figured out a pattern and never committed himself to spending more than a few precious moments in his room. A grown man that couldn't handle even the simple interaction of witches— he knew that based on the little scents that clung to the sheets and what had been new, sharply up kicking his senses slightly to a new level.

He wrinkled his nose in thought,

His eyes fluttered to the one person that was indeed drawing attention, perhaps a little wilder than what Piers would be used too, but wasn't that all the fun and the nature of the very evening? He was a stocky vampire, moving forward, sandals that flopped against the polished dance floor, leisurely making his way through to the serving station, 'Reaper,' and flashing a polite smile, a peak of white and fangs, tucked behind his upper lips. "I am no joker, but I can I am not too bad of company," He winced slightly at how awkward that sounded, sliced with a tone that was forced to chuckle at the beginning, wrapping one hand around his neck. "Nice costume, puts mine to shame, I hope your evening is well?" No matter how much he lived in the modern century, there was some element of his upbringing always parading around. That formality that was edging on firm politeness that was contorting his words, and his voice, accent merely punctuated that— sometimes overemphasised that.

Reaper

Tags: Piers NoQuillToLive NoQuillToLive | Spirit Serving Station

The party started to look like it was improving when Reaper was approached. Still sipping languidly on the bloody Mary, eyes shifted to slowly drink in the other's costume, from the bottom up, stopping when gazes were met. The smirk shifted into a smile, fangs displayed because that's what Reaper usually did anyway.

"Pierssssss." 'Harley' drew out the last sound, shifting to face the toga clad vampire. The lean was still present, only more of a sideways position, one arm a brace between body and bar. Even with the platform shoes, Reaper had to look upward to meet the man's face. A hint of pleased surprise crossed his own expression. He did not expect Piers to be the one to approach so boldly.

Purr.

The bloody Mary was set on the bar in favor of letting fingers brush along the single shoulder strap of Piers' toga. "Puddin' was always a little... overrated." Referring to the Joker as Harley might. "My evening is looking up." Reaper leaned in close, hand now curling and tugging on the toga in an attempt to pull Piers downward.

It wasn't too forceful of a tug, just needed enough to meet the upward tilt of Reaper's chin as he moved to whisper. "Truth be told, I was worried a little table bashing with Mister Good Night here was needed to get this party started right." There was a small tap of one shoe against the tip of the bat still pressed against the floor.

Reaper resumed the lean, letting the toga strap go as he glanced to the server at the spirit station. "Be sure to get Caesar whatever drink he wants." The fanged grin grew as he made the first toga reference that crossed his mind. Attention and appreciation returned to Piers, and Reaper couldn't help but 'Harley' it up a notch by leaning in to lick the other vampire's chin. "What's your poison?"

The hand against the toga strap was unexpected, as his eyes widened at the sudden contact and even brushing against the defined muscle of his shoulder. Reaper being handsy wasn't a surprise though, letting that realization just simmer into the back of his head, favouring the good ambience of the evening and mood. It was infectious somewhat, even as Reaper went the step further, pulling down Piers and his face was framed with a small smile, creased through the pearly white teeth, "We still got the rest of the night," He assured with a husky bout of laughter, "Might be too soon to start bashing the poor tables," He motioned with his hand, planted on the side of the drinks station— maybe even a little hot underneath the toga sheet and speckled across his cheeks with a dusting of red, that, wasn't a new revelation that 'Harley' could be boisterous. But maybe that was something to be liked about that dynamic, setting his eyes upon the bartender, waitress, drinks giver? The name alluded in his head, labelled server, and wound his head back— the lick to the chin was definitely going to make him a flustered puddle. "Picking your poison comes with sampling the flavour?" He jabbed with a sharp inhale of a chuckle,

"I might need to make a habit of coming out more often," He stated casually, voice tempering cool, against the whirlwind of the crowds. As a teasing smile sprang through her lips, jovial and brightened up his face, playing along a little with Reaper. There was always something to count on and the opposing Vampire to make the evening an interesting was a certainty, dazzled up with trying to guess what was going to happen next. Chewing his lip, Piers debated through several of his answers, he typically wasn't an avid drinker in any capacity and water was the most sensible. It was an obvious choice from where he was standing, but that wasn't that a little lame? His expression cracked, "A cup of water, I am not quite for starting the party just yet, thank you" He admitted with a stray smile, nodding at the server for his drink.

"What do you think so far for this arrangement?" He was curious about that, readying one hand against the side of the drinks station, leaning to his right, preferred side when he was patiently waiting for me. Some Vampires were apprehensive like himself and others, disliked the idea— mixed into the pool and he was still on the fence. "I am dubious," He said, drawing his eyes forward, whilst grabbing the freshly poured water cup, firmly as so.

Blake felt it was wrong to assume all parties were going to be like the one she previously experienced this past summer. Other than this Halloween formal, it was the only one she ever attended, so...it was the only one she could compare any party too. This one, however, felt so much different. Here she was trying to occupy her time and pray it would end so she could retreat to her room and return to getting adjusted to a campus full of blood suckers. She even has some last minute things to still unpack. Why didn't this giant bash bring excitement like the previous party? Well, for starters she knew...almost no one, at the summer party she had one friend and that was enough to throw her in a social circle. She knew OF certain individuals here, mostly witches/warlocks that she's crossed paths with and come to recognize their faces, but thats as far as it went. Besides the occasional times where she sat beside some of the people in this very room at a library or other parts of the large manor they all were forced to coexist in, she hasn't had any real conversations. Come to think of it, she hasn't even left the campus grounds much, "I need to get out more," she thought with an audible sigh. But where to begin? She's never been anywhere outside of California, and now she's in a completely alien neighborhood, on the other side of the country.

"Anything look particularly good?"

Blake jumped from a voice that seemed to appear out of thin air... and sounded so unexpectedly close. The table slightly shook when her hips unintentionally thrusted into it's edge, glasses clinked, and a large bowl of punch rippled. Still startled, she turned her head, wide-eyed with a small gasp leaving her lips. Thats one way to interrupt a thought come back to reality. For a split second Blake felt her heart sink to her stomach, but when she realized it was Declan, a fellow warlock and not a vampire, her soul returned back to her body. She cleared her throat and looked down at the table again to avoid eye-contact, "Um," she started. This was her chance, she's been itching to be more outgoing and social and now the opportunity has presented itself on a silver platter. Don't. Screw. This. Up. "Theres a couple things that look appetizing, but I haven't tried them yet," she stated plainly with her eyebrows furrowed. Okay, that was a nice ice breaker, what's next, an introduction? Coming right up.

"Im Blake," she stuck a hand out to offer a shake,"....by the way," her voice trailed off. She prayed he wouldn't feel the clamminess of her palms, dead give away of her ever insistent nervousness (a side-effect of being socially challenged), if it wasn't already given away. Lack of eye contact, stiff posture, sweaty hands, the tingle in the back of her throat like she was gonna puke from the pressure, god she was an internal mess. But she was holding herself together....barely. "Ive seen you around before, but I don't think we've actually spoke," she said through a nervous smile. 'Cause that doesn't sound stalkery Blake, nice going!' She was kicking herself in the ass now. 'Change the subject!'

There was an empty silence, the music echoed between them and Blake's mind ran a hundred miles a minute to think of a way to keep the conversation going. "I usually see you with another girl, your girlfriend I'm assuming?" she asked, finally disrupting the uncomfortable silence. The witch popped a salted pretzel in her mouth to get her nerves to focus on something other than the building anxiety.

'Now he definitely thinks you stalk him.' Blake didn't know what else to talk about, and also didn't know that the person she was referring to was actually his sister. Her bluntness couldn't be helped, she typically likes that part about herself, but right now she sees it as the enemy.

Alec SangreyAlec nearly leaped out of his skin when he felt someone tapping his shoulder. An irrational part of his mostly rational brain considered, for a moment, that it was one of his childhood bullies come to tell him how weird he was wearing his goggles. Then he realized it was just Scarlette, a witch who didn't quite bother him but also wasn't exactly his favorite. That didn't explain why he kept talking to her, though...

He snorted at the nickname, taking no offense. When you wore goggles as much as he did, you handled the consequences with grace. But only if someone decent was calling you "goggle man," of course. It took him a second to realize he now had candy in his hand. How Scarlette had managed to procure it and subsequently slip the sugar-filled delights into his hand was beyond him, but nonetheless, it was fantastic to see the one thing that could make his night had indeed appeared.

"Now I am, thanks," he said to the girl as he automatically opened a packet of Skittles and started stuffing his face full of the candy. "I was just wondering where to find this stuff." His cheeks briefly resembled a chipmunk's as he had more candy in his mouth than was probably healthy, and he glanced around. "I didn't realize parties like this were so boring. I should've stayed in my room," he added, rolling his eyes.

Figuring it was probably the social convention to do so, he nodded to her. "Nice costume." Hm, this wasn't going too bad. Maybe this party wasn't such a waste of time, after all - especially now that he had candy to tide him over...

Elijah had almost decided to stay at the house but here he was attending this party instead. At first, he wasn't sure what had drawn him here exactly. The party scene wasn't exactly his thing yet something had pulled him here. Then he realized it was because Nora has always loved the holiday. She always made a big deal even when they were keeping a low profile amongst the humans she'd celebrated it. Decorating, handing out candy to the little kids of the neighborhoods, even dressing up. Elijah had participated every year with her because he knew it made her happy. Now here he was, walking into a Halloween party he didn't care for and hadn't bothered to buy a costume for. All of this just to feel a little bit closer to her.

Once he'd made it to the party, he searched for anyone he was remotely close to. Instead, his eyes found a blonde who seemed to be doing the same. He recognized her as another girl from the house he was living in. A vampire if he wasn't mistaken. He walked over to where she stood, cups of both red fruit punch and blood littered the nearby table. After picking one up, he smelled it to be sure it wasn't the latter before taking a sip. "Angel, right?" he questioned, turning to her. "I'm Elijah. I think we stay in the same house," he added, his attempts to make small talk shaky at best. He wasn't great at opening up to new people. Even some of his friends didn't know his full story. "Nice costume," he pointed out. Dude, you suck at this.

Tags: Piers NoQuillToLive NoQuillToLive | Bar > Shuffle Floor

There was a low laugh, just above a chuckle, at the sampling the flavor remark. "Even ice cream parlors offer up a sample taste, why should apothecaries be any different? Though, I wager, they would have a lower customer return rate." One finger brushed along the side of Pier's neck. "Pity." The latter could have applied to the statement previously given breath, or Piers claiming not yet ready to get the party started.

As for the arrangement at the school? Reaper turned to look through the throngs of those on the dance floor, and those hovering on the outside, looking in. "Vampires, Witches, and Warlocks, ohhh myyyyyyy." The last said in a manner George Takei would find appropriate.

The finger previously along Pier's neck, kept toying with the strap of the other vampire's toga. "It is interesting, to say the least." Wandering gaze stopped wandering, returning to study Piers. "Shakespeare himself would be unable to do the ensuing drama justice. Myself? I think they will be ..." Head tilted to one side, the blonde ponytails shifting appropriately. The word was purred, no mistake about it.

"....entertaining."

Reaper gave a small pout then, lower lip stuck out, held back only partially by a fang. He waited for Piers to be satisfied with the drink of water. As soon as the drink was set down, toga strap was tugged lightly as 'Harley' pushed away from the bar and started to walk backward toward the dance floor. The tip of the bat, handle still held in one hand, made a soft dragging noise along the way.

Reaper tilted his chin up to fake whisper, "I want to shift weight from side to side and pretend to be dancing while just enjoying the sensation of someone else doing the same. Come on Caesar. Show me how you move in flip flops." And the grin he gave then was as dirty as they come.

Magnolia loved Halloween! She loved the spooky parts of it as well as the silly candy and slutty clothing part. It was fascinating how a holiday could be so dark and light heated simultaneously. She'd originally planned on leaving for the bar with her roommates, or at least one, but she lost track of time while playing with fire. Literally. She was amusing herself by trying out the what effect different minerals had on fire. She knew most of them, but liked to mix and match from time to time to see if anything new would appear. Not to mention it was just good fun! She tried to do her experiments like this in remote areas where she had all the space in the world. She built a tiny bonfire in a clearing near the dorms they had been arranged to sleep at for this one in particular. The only thing pulling her from her fun was the alarm on her phone ringing telling her she was going to be late. She was pumped! Deciding to go out with some realistic "make-up" she took a few steps back before tossing in some potassium chloride and a lithium battery to the fire making it turn into a purple explosion. Not big enough to do much damage, but enough for some smoke and ash residue to be used as powder for her face.

She quickly used a spell to tidy things up and bag what materials she still had before rushing up to the room. It seemed Arya and Bellamy had already left for the party, but that was fine, hopefully she'd see them there. So far she enjoyed her two roommates and counted herself pretty lucky to have landed with them. She hoped this year she'd get to learn much more about the both of them as well as her other peers. This was the perfect playground of a year for someone like here, and she was prepared to seize every moment. She grabbed her costume feeling like it was a great match to her personality, not to mention probably the way her classmates and the world really saw her. She quickly threw on her mad scientist costume and left her hair how it was even if it was a bit messier then it was originally thanks to her little stunt outside.

She then made her way to the bar quickly noticing the outfit choices of her peers. Some were costumes, some where just everyday type clothing, and some belonged in a catalog, but she's never been one to turn turn down eye candy and was living for all of it. She decided she needed to play a bit of catch up and headed towards the bar where the drinks should be but stopped when she noticed Alec and Scarlette.

"Hey guys!" She called out cheerfully, but also loud to be heard over the growing crowd of people. She waved her arms in the air with glee before making her way over a dark mocha grin curled onto her lips. She offered up her prop filled with green liquid up to the two of them, "Wanna try?" She giggled with a wiggle of her brow. It was nothing bad it was just sparkling water with green dye in it. she thought the carbonation adding bubbles made a good touch.

Ambrose Cross
The Troublemaking Warlock
As Aiden called out to him, Ambrose was on his bed, applying the final touches to his costume. For a long time, he had always enjoyed the Zorro movies, or rather anything with Antonio Bandares. His first name might not have been the best, especially since it was shared with one of the most annoying vampires at this god-forsaken school, but Ambrose loved watching the Spanish actor work. Nothing like watching one of the most badass guys show how it’s done. Growing up, he didn’t have much of a parental figure, so the actors he enjoyed were often the source for that and Banderas was always the one to give him a distraction from how shitty his family treated him.

Ambrose exited the bathroom, wearing all black. Of course, he had to go as one of his favorite characters of all time: Zorro. He had everything from the black hat, mask, pants, and tunic. The play sword which may or may not be actual real steel (nobody will be able to spot the difference). The part of the costume that really did it for him was the cape. He has threaded it himself. Well, okay not exactly himself but he knew a quick fix spell that worked just as good. And really, as long as he didn’t use magic too much in one go, he wasn’t prone to the fatigue that most witches and warlocks were.

“Check it bro!” Ambrose whipped out his sword, “real steel and all! And it only cost me a hundred bucks. Sweet deal, right man?” He laughed, putting the sabre back on his hip. “But don’t worry, it’s just for show. Unless, like, Antonio gets smart, then all bets are off. I’d like to see that bitch to try something.”

After his rant, Ambrose shifted the gears onto Aiden, who he just right now noticed was going as the Joker. “Very classic bro! I dig it!” He nudged his vampire roommate who honest to god was the best friend he never thought he’d have since coming to this school. Instant broship. “And yeah man, let’s hit it. So down to show the others how it’s done!”

Taking things in his stride were a bit more complicated with Piers, more so against the tide of someone vibrant and modern. Modern in the sense that previous barriers and restraints that were holding Piers back— still, he was becoming ever slightly more flustered with the ongoing touch, a nervous chuckle that tinged at the end of his lips. "I am not good at any of this," His fingers pinched at the side of the cup, gesturing to the space between them, admitting without a beat of shame that Piers was out of his element, respectively and what was happening. It was all good fun, he knew that, but his reactions were painfully shy or just skirting the word of embarrassment — trying to be more into the flow. "I don't think we'll be reaching the dramatic level of Romeo and Juliet," He gulped down rest of the water, letting that soothe his nerves once more, refreshed to progress the conversation with the ever notorious Reaper. "Or Hamlet for that matter, but who knows, a dagger and opportunity might reveal something," It was amusing, derived from his lips with a glimmer in his thoughts, talking about Shakespeare was indeed comforting for him, a safe territory to speak about.

"I wouldn't be a good gentleman if I were to refuse your request," His expression slipped into a smile, dragged along was adding more speckles of red to his face, he was sure he was a red painting that reflected the very definition of painfully-out-his-depth but he was rising to the challenge, perhaps for the first time of that night. "Well, some claimed that Julius Ceaser descended from the gods, sadly, my dancing isn't." He quipped with a nervous quake, where did he put his hands in this instance? It was like trying to swim without a proper raft, with Piers placing a hand on Reaper's shoulder, the first time that night he was willingly touched somebody else— lacking that casualness that his dance partner portrayed and even more so with refined essence to make that look natural. He was stunted and just encompassing the word of awkward, but every good gentleman did his best and he wasn't going to back down, holding the other hand to the opposite shoulder. He winced outwardly at that.

Trying to listening to the music thumping, maybe that would strike a chord within him to just start moving, "I cannot promise I'll be good, but I am rather amusing to watch, a car crash somewhat." He did have a good laugh at himself for that ; at least he did have the nerve to knew he was just so stupidly ridiculous at this party.
