  rim Reapers are all around us. They live amongst us, collecting our souls when it’s time, ensuring that the balance between life and death is maintained. Everyone will die someday and it is up to the Reapers to help take their souls and escort them to wherever they go next.
  
  You would never know someone was a Reaper just by looking at them. They don’t wear black robes and they don’t carry scythes. They look just like you and me. In fact, they were once humans. When everybody dies, they let go of their life and move on to whatever is waiting in the Beyond. Reapers do the same, though they don’t move on just yet. Instead, they are tasked to collect an unknown quota of souls before they are able to move on. It isn’t a punishment or some sort of test. They just simply are replacing the Reaper who came before them.
  
  Death comes for everyone at a set time and date, unknown to everyone except the powers that be. Nothing can change it, it’s just fate. Some even believe that death is set at the same time as birth, everyone has a set timeline. Some believe it is random, caused by another entity altogether that arranges deaths. Either way, the appointments are made and Reapers are to collect the souls they are assigned at the specified time and date.
  
  However, something has gone wrong. The local Unnatural Death Squad has been showing up to their set appointments to find that the souls they were supposed to meet have not. Something is affecting the balance between life and death. The UDS needs to figure out what’s causing this imbalance before the whole system begins to fall apart.

  hi everyone! i've been re-watching the show dead like me and was a bit inspired to throw this together. the rp will focus on a group of reapers that are assigned to reap the souls who die unnatural deaths (accidents, murders, etc). however, they've been showing up to find the souls they are to collect are not present. someone has been meddling in the system and it is throwing the natural order of life and death off balance. it is their job to figure out who or what is causing this disturbance and correct it before the whole system comes crumbling down.

  Grim Reapers were once human. Their job is to collect the souls of the dearly departed (preferably just before death for those assigned to the Unnatural Death Squad). They have a quota that is unknown to them that they must fulfill before moving on in the afterlife. Once they meet that quota, the last soul they reap becomes the Reaper that replaces them. The Reapers exist in a state between life and death— they are undead if you will. They can interact with the world around them as if they were living people, however, they cannot die or age as they are no longer living. However, if they encounter anyone who would have recognized them in life, they would appear to be someone else.
  
  Reaping souls may be their purpose, but it is not a career in the normal sense. They do not get paid, nor are they given housing. They must find that all on their own. Some work, some steal, and some scrape money together however they can. They live with a lot of unknowns.
