TV & Film What's Your Favorite "So Bad, it's Good" Movie?

There's something hard to explain about why watching terrible B-movies (or even high-budget flops) can be so entertaining. Alcohol not necessary, but a plus.

For me, I love Battlefield Earth. There's something about this movie that makes me literally laugh out loud. I love it. This scene in particular:

So, you MST3Kers, you hate-watchers, you movie masochists: What terrible movies do you willingly subject yourself to because they're so bad, they wrap back around to good?

This probably classifies more of a guilty pleasure, but there's an early 2010's movie called "Real Steel" set in the near future where humanoid robots do boxing matches. It's not a bad move but its super sappy and cliche, but I love it anyway.

AnimeGenork

The Duck Overlord
All of the LEGO movies

Like from a movie standpoint, they're really not the best, but I'm still always, always laughing

I'm not sure what that says about me...

The Amazing Bulk. I haven't seen all of it, but from the clips I've seen, It's definitely terrible, yet so entertaining.

Seriously.

Pretty much anything with Jason Statham in it. I know they're terrible, but.....I just....can't look away. *jumps off of cliff*

I would also add Jean-Claude Van Damme to this list.

I loved the sorta parody of Jason Statham's typecast character in Spy, though. He was great in that.

The Angry Birds Movie. It's so dumb. So. Dumb. But man, it reduced me to tears. My brother and I watched at my grandparents house while they were asleep and we had to put our hands over our mouths to keep ourselves from laughing out loud and waking them up. We were both crying laughing.

Probably either "The Happening" or "Battlefield Earth".
I have a great story about The Happening. I went to the movie theater while it was playing (to see a different movie) and some numbnuts pulled the fire alarm.

Everyone evacuated outside, and you could tell who were the people coming out of the Happening because they looked terrified. I feel kinda bad for laughing but it was pretty funny.

I think about half of them didn't go back inside when we got the all-clear, they just walked off. I don't blame them.

These woods, I've seen them somewhere.
It's absolutely 100% terrible, but "The Pest" was one my siblings watched endlessly. It gets nostalgia points despite being horrible.

Does Kung Pow count? It's so stupid I actually had to turn off half my brain cells about 90 seconds in. And then I just enjoyed it. I enjoyed everything.

That's also me and most Adam Sandler movies.

I'm pretty sure Kung Pow was so-bad-it's-good on purpose but hey, that counts.

Fair point. Then I guess I hereby recant my Kung Pow nomination, and will instead go for ... well, saying The Room feels like a cop out answer (and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it yet), so I'll just go with my favourite recent so-bad-it's-good movie, and say Venom.

It does feel like a cop out to say The Room, but man, it's funny. I haven't even watched the whole thing (just parts), but it's so horrendous and so hilarious
