Other What was 'The Incident' at your school?

It seems like every school has at least one really shocking incident that everyone likes to talk about. What are yours?
(title shamelessly stolen from a reddit thread)

Because my school was an absolute nightmare, I have multiple:

1. A music teacher got fired, and then promptly blacklisted from teaching, for dating a sixth form student. She was 18 at the time it got found out but it was revealed that it started years before, and he legit drove her out of school to Mcdonald's to discuss his failing marriage.. very professional
(Bonus: Before anyone knew about this, I once walked into the music classroom to get something I'd forgotten and they were alone together. Didn't think anything at the time, but now..)
2. A girl straight up lost her finger trying to skive off school.
She tried to climb up the fence, but she was wearing a ring, it got stuck, and then whatever way she tried to get back off the fence, it ended with half of her finger just nooot attached anymore.
3. this last one needs to be entirely in a spoiler bc euuugh. Don't read if you're eating.
Someone (we still don't know who) took a shit in the sink of a boy's bathroom. The school went full Sherlock Holmes trying to figure out who was the culprit, but nothing came of it. A bunch of different guys said that they were responsible, which means most of them are lying, which I.. don't understand, because why would you take credit for this?

bonus: in primary school on the last day a kid went absolutely mental and started throwing chairs around. was very surreal bc it was the last day and Just Dance by lady gaga was playing at full volume while he rampaged

There was some kid who was shitting in the hallways after school and no one could figure out who. It was really bad.

So, one day, I go to school. I live in a small town so I went to a small Highschool. It was the end of the year, you know.. and we get there and there are a bunch of plastic forks in the court yard. The school is cut up into sections basically, with different buildings, and in the main building, aka Academics building, someone had gotten the keys to the building, went into the school, blew up a bunch of balloons, filled up cups of water, put sardines in the girls bathrooms, threw confetti around and threw condoms and lubricant all over the doors. They also placed mandatory penis inspection papers along the walls. Yikes.

So this surfaced recently, but this sub, who is totally totally irrelevant, i had never seen her in my life, she got caught filming and watching porn on a school computer in a classroom. Now there is like, news all over the state about it and it’s been contorted into something COMPLETELY wrong. It’s kind of funny but at the same time, let me reiterate that i live in a small town, and that lady most likely doesn’t live here anymore and never will be able to return. LMAO.

Freshman year, this girl stabbed her ex boyfriend in the back in front of a whole crowd of people. So stupid. I didn’t see it happen but I did see blood on the floor, which was fun. 🙃

It was on an exam day, so they literally just sent everyone to class and came on the intercom to say “everything is fine, just take your tests.” So that was fun. Very nice welcome to highschool.

This one is really sad, so I'll spoiler it. Some trigger warnings about death.
Two dudes in a motorcycle executed one of the students from my old school. They were tied to the drug trafficking from Brazil, but the student wasn't. The two shooters mistook the dead student with another student, that was actually involved in the drug trafficking, part of an enemy gang. The dude was supposedly really nice and was aiming to be a civil engineer. Yeah, like I said, really bad.

I was there in the day, it was 7AM and people are just entering school for the day(Brazilian schools start at 7AM and end at 11AM). I was with my sister and a friend, and that's where I heard the shots. About 4 or 5, then the screaming. School was cut short that day, our father had to bring us home. My sister was in shock, and we were all afraid.

  • We had a parent, holding their new born baby, come down and start screaming at a teenager - because she was spreading rumours about her daughter or something. She then proceeded to attack the teenager, grabbing her hair and throwing her to the ground, while holding this baby
  • A friend of mine was trying to knock on a window to get someone’s attention and ended up putting his hand through the window accidentally. He sliced straight up his arm and needed eighteen stitches
  • We had a kid with Aspergers in our class that people always made fun of (this was a good 12 years ago where Autism wasn’t really spoken about). He ended up throwing multiple chairs and tables at people and even out the window (we were on the third floor)
  • Finally, our society teacher had a flashback episode (probably from post traumatic stress) when a student pointed a spud gun at him. He started screaming and throwing chairs at the student. Never saw him again after that

  • Someone on the yearbook club printed a quote from Adolf Hitler inside the yearbook. No idea how that made it past inspection, but knowing school faculty, I'm willing to bet it wasn't screened at all.
  • One student had been having a long-term affair with one of the math teachers. This was discovered after the two were caught having sex... in a cemetery.
  • Someone took a gargantuan shit on the floor of the boy's bathroom and wrote "HI" on all the mirrors, with the shit. This happened again across several bathrooms around the school, all of which were closed for the rest of the year.

Someone tried to commit suicide by jumping out of a window over a failed exam.

Luckily, he was persuaded by the professors not to jump.

I went to like a missionary school for boys so yeah there was a tonne of shit that went down. This one time a nun basically beats this kid up for coming to assembly late, he was legit bleeding from his face. And we essentially had a hate crime happen too, a group of boys ganged up on a Sikh kid and tore his mini turban off so yeah, it was bad.

There were a few events that happened in my high school that everyone knew about.

The Vending Machine
Basically, without going too much into detail, there was a sexual encounter between two students during class hours. Somehow they both wedged themselves behind the vending machine, which there is less than a foot back there, plus they had to move it somehow? Cameras caught the act, and it was girl on guy action. The students were brought to the head principal and the video was shown to them, as well as their parents (or so the rumors stated) and they got suspended for a long while. I never heard who it was, but if I did, I didn't recognize the names, so I forgot about them.

The Parking Lot
There was this girl who apparently got raped by three other students and didn't report it until days after the incident. This girl's identity was actually revealed, and she played the sad act for a long time afterwards. Personally I couldn't tell if it was real or not, I didn't know her personally, but I was told that she was actually lying and wanted the attention because she was such a slut, and sure enough, about 2 weeks afterwards she was perky and piper as she usually was and acting like nothing ever happened. So I don't know what actually happened in the parking lot or if it was even real, but it was known by everyone throughout the school.

Security "Issues"
At a community college:
So this is similar to the previous incident as it's about someone who "got raped" in a parking lot. However, it was revealed that it was all a lie and it drew up tons of drama and even made it into local and maybe even state wide news.

So at the community college this girl was walking out to her car and was attacked by a man who proceeded to rape her in her open car before hopping into another vehicle and speeding off. She said it was a black man and that he was very rough with her and all that jazz. She called the police to report it and they came to her aid and she made the report. She also got a petition started to up the security at the parking lot by instling new lamps and cameras, etc... all while the school is already a partial police academy. Anyways, the investigation goes on and she is interviewed several times and so is her lover and friends and whatnot and none of the evidence is adding up. There was no intrusion, nothing coming up on the rape kit, and even her friends and such were all checked out with alibis and whatnot. So they question her again asking how the incident occurred and she ends up changing her story, saying it happened before she got home where her and her lover had some fun time. So the investigation goes into full swing again, and the local news catches wind of it and starts reporting on it. Again, things are really weird and aren't looking good for the "victim". Again, she was questioned, and again she changes her story. On and on this goes until it hits court when she finally says she made it all up just for "revealing a fatal flaw in the security of the school. Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean it could and very easily" was basically her logic. So the police basically sued her for wasting their time on a fake report and she ended up pleading "insane" to avoid jail time. Last I heard of her, she deleted her Facebook 5 times and goes by a new name now. Now, it's beena while since I read the report, so apologies if I'm not as correct as how I remember it, but I'm sure y'all can find it you want to read the whole thing.

Incident 1: me and some buddies blew up a toilet by stripping a LOT of firecrackers and adding the contents to a tin can with a fuse. The porcelain shards shredded a wooden door of the stall. They never found out who did it

Incident 2: The chemistry teacher made the grave error of revealing the formula to make stink bombs that smell of rotten eggs. Some students made a batch and tossed them into the ventilation system. The school reeked for two weeks. Once again, they never knew who did it.

Incident 3: Our school had a group of seniors who loved bullying kids in lower years. Basic "jock" types, to use a US analogy. They bullied boys and girls alike.
These lot decided I would be the next target. I was about 15 at the time. They were all 17-19 years old.

Now, i suffer from a form of Hyperthyroidism. (Graves disease) I've always been the big guy in class. At the time however, it caused an upsurge in testosterone and adrenaline.

Long story short: those five guys got flattened spectacularly and I chased them into a building pit in the school's courtyard. They were stuck in there for about an hour before the teachers convinced me to let them leave. They were suspended for starting the fight and left school to go elsewhere.

For those wondering wvy they didn't call the police: in my country schools don't involve the cops unless someone gets seriously hurt.

I also did not get suspended because I only defended myself against five people in the principal's view. I think he just wanted to get rid of those guys and found an excuse.

A girl didn't know she was pregnant, and went into labor waaay too early...(I don't know she didn't know she was pregnant, I'm pretty sure the baby survived.)

But my old teacher helped her give birth in the bathroom! At least it has a somewhat happy ending.

some less-serious ones;

- school had to do a lockdown drill because a mountain lion was spotted either on or super close to campus; i can't remember which one it is, exactly.

- in marine bio, one guy attacked another student with an octopus. it almost causd my marine bio teacher to lose the ability to let the class do dissections, all because of that one student.

but onto more serious incidents;

- a bomb threat happened around homecoming one year; nothing came out of it, thankfully. at the time, i honestly didn't believe it to be real, nor did most of the people i talked to during evacuation, but y'know, best to be safe.

- there's been multiple incidents of people bringing guns to school, or people threatening our school/nearby schools over social media (usually with pictures of guns and/or implying they're going to do something bad to the school). nobody's ever gotten hurt from these, but every time an incident like this happens, it causes a lot of tension.

I have two. One was the headmaster used over £100,000 ($125,000 or so) to pay for a lot of new things for the school and himself. Things like laptops and tablets for students, many new school trips and photography equipment. His name is Colin Coleman if you want to read a little more into what he did.

Second was that a history teacher had a heart attack and died just after teaching. He was a really nice guy as well, energetic, friendly, really knew how to teach and get everyone to pay attention. He was the second of four history teachers I was taught by during my time there, and I sadly can't remember his name.

In junior high, this one...eccentric kid photoshopped the head of this one girl in the class (presumably from a class photo or something) onto some porn photos and sent them to his friends. I did not number amongst them.

In high school, one of our varsity Water Polo boys socked a player from our rival's team, because he was constantly getting impeded without the refs noticing it. It almost started a fight in the pool, but luckily that was avoided. Although attendance at games was okay up to that point, the stands were PACKED in the following games, and our fans were pumped up! Students who had never watched any of our games were coming in with a new curiosity, and energy. It was truly a novelty, at least at the time. No one else had gotten straight up whacked in recent memory at that point!

I went to a good school, so we didn’t have too many major incidents, but this one was just dumb.

So, from what I heard, a bunch of students (I don’t know which grade, this is a second hand account.) decided to have a Nerf Gun fight on campus. The stupid part was that the students spray painted the Nerf Guns to look like real guns. The school thought they were shooters and went into a code red and called the cops. They were arrested and then expelled.

I went to a catholic high school, so our incidents were always really weird.

1) A substitute teacher brought in toy rubber worms and called himself a wizard. He offered to sell us spells, but he couldn't cause harm or mind control people. He was completely serious.
2) A girl with a heart condition drank like 3 redbulls and had a heart attack in the cafeteria.
3) There were a total of 2 fights my entire time at this school. One freshman year, one senior year. The senior year fight was between two freshman. It had to be broken up by the military guy that tries to recruit people at lunch.
4) Two kids did acid one weekend, one started strangling the other with the intent to kill (bad trip I assume), and the father of the strangled one hit the attacker in the head with a baseball bat. He was in a coma after the hit for a few days.
5) A counselor was fired for being gay
6) This happened last year, so I wasn't there for it. The principal said the n word, uncensored, during a school assembly. He used it as an example of words he didn't want to hear in the halls, but c'mon man. Just say "n-word" or "slurs". Don't actually say it in front of a gym full of teenagers.

A girl in my school got molested by some 30 year old guy. It was basically statutory rape but with just sexual acts and not sex itself. (The high school I attended was a small private Catholic school who claimed to be really holy and all that). She got blamed for "wanting it" and got kicked out.

She was on online dating apps. He contacted her and she obviously responded but she was a minor. It's not her fucking fault.

The day school ended this year, i was walking out onto the second floor staircase, and the place was literally hopping (pun not intended) with crickets. Apparently some senior had gone to the pet store earlier in the day and bought a bunch of crickets meant as reptile food, and just dumped them all onto the staircase. It was a hell of a way to end the school year.

I was friends with this guy who was what we in Australia call an "eshay" (did drugs, stole shit from people, wore brands like Nike/Adidas, etc.). I'm honestly not sure how I became friends with him, as I didn't do any of the aforementioned stuff, I was just a pretty nerdy kid.

He decided that, as a joke, it would be a great idea to film a video of himself with a fake gun and threaten to shoot up the school. He then sent this video to his friend in our class who, like a lot of people, didn't actually like him that much. The guy then showed the video to his mum, who then sent it to the school. He was expelled.

I remember something my dad told me when he visited my high school for a parent teacher thing. He told me about some girl who was probably a freshman/sophomore and she passed out in the bathroom, it was either sleep deprivation or malnutrition

There was this couple who had sex and the girl gave birth, don’t know anything else about that

And then this one kid called the cops saying there was an intruder in the school so we were in lock down until the cops came. He was suspended for some weeks but he somehow graduated. He was always trouble so idk how

Oh yeah and there was this kid who masturbated in class. Thankfully I didn’t have any classes with him, at least not a lot...

My school was boring and too big for any one incident to really be shocking.

But at my brothers high school the senior football team disassemble their coaches car and reassemble it inside a corridor of the school!

Used to go to school in a small town one day a kid who was later found to be abused freaked out so bad screaming and swinging out of nowhere he had to be grabbed and lifted by his hands and feet he kicked a teacher hard enough to break there nose and got away ran and tried to jump through a window he was grabbed and dragged absolutely shreaking all the way to the office they found out he had swirling knife marks going all around the length of his tourso and the dad was arrested for major abuse I wasn't in the class at the time but I remember everything being silent just to hear violent screaming from our room and then about 3 minutes later they carried the boy a teacher at his arms one at his legs and one at his side screaming past our door it was horrifieing

It's hard to pick just one 'The Incident'

My World History teacher say some seniors bought two VW Bugs and put them in our school forum humping each other. It took forever to get them out apparently. Our school was always kind of strict about Senior pranks after that. They usually called the cops and quickly shut things down more often than not.

However in my personal high school experience, some kids from the new school up the hill that we were super competitive with came down to our senior party the school was throwing for us in he last week. They started fighting everyone and tasered some kid. It made for a memorable last few days of school.

At my school there was a couple. The girl was a freshman and the guy was a senior. Their parents weren't okay with them being together due to the age difference. So they decided to go full 'Romeo and Juliet'. They drove to the outskirts of town and well...committed suicide. They both shot themselves in the head and since they were out in the middle of nowhere their bodies weren't found until days later. Really sucked cause I was friends with the girl's brother.

Then there was a car accident that took the lives of three girls that went to my school. There was a plaque made for them and put in the courtyard.

Then one of my friends had one of those pens that looks like a syringe. We were in the library one morning and had that 'one kid' that somehow deemed us his group of friends, though we never hung out with him. He was kind of an asshole and we were tired of him. My friend pokes him with the syringe pen and said "You have AIDS." The kid started freaking out and throwing chairs. He had a full freakout and ended up actually hurting himself. My friend got expelled and his family had to pay the kid's medical bills.

Then we had a bomb threat by some edgelord and of course 'The Deathnote Scare' which sucked because me and my friends all had one and mainly used them as regular journals.

Oh! Almost forgot! There was a teacher at the school and her son was a student. She would allow him and his friends to have parties at her house. She'd supply booze and everything. Ended up having 'relations' with some of the boys. That was a year or two before I went there, but everyone knew.

Go Vikings!

I remember that during my senior year of high school, the school went on lockdown because a student reported that some fellow students were bringing guns to school to shootvsome people. I was outside, because it was marching band season and we have it first period, and we had the walk to the Jr. High. The teacher's told us calmly to walk over there, and didn't tell us why until later. Anyways, we practiced all day, didn't have practice that evening. We were the only ones who got to have lunch and was able to use the bathrooms. They brought the police and dogs in, found who had the guns. We have three different lunch periods (one before, one in the middle, and one after I think third period), and the scary thing was, is that they had a list of people that they were going to shoot, and I happened to be in the second lunch period. I was at the library after they released us, and my blood sugar bottomed out I believe it was because the shock caught up with me. Had to go to the hospital, but I was okay once they brought my sugars up. This was during the 07-08 school year.
