Welcome to the city of Fort Monroe, crown rose of the country. Its a small quaint town out in the country side of the United States, with diverse people. Everyone here has either grown up here, or for some strange reason, on a whim, decided to move here. Everyone knows everyone, and gossip is heard on all corners of town. The town is home to a small elementary school (K-5), a small middle school (6-8), and of course a larger high school (9-12). Of course, as small towns go, there isn't much to really do. The high lights of any teenage life now is either a joy ride late at night, a three roomed theater containing 2 dollar movies with a Pac-Man machine that eats your coins, a comic book store/ arcade, a bowling alley where the kids with the lettermans hang out and of course, a roller rink with a rather.. dangerous floor.
There are certain groups of people, usually all clicking together, especially high school kids. You've got the cooler kids who like to hang around the bowling alley, the nerdy kids who are good friends with the comic book store guy, and the in betweens' that are just trying to get through the awkwardness of high school. It's easy to find your place, but sometimes that can be confusing, especially with the changing mind of a teenager. Gossip is a bunch of he said she said bull, so its just the usual pettiness that comes with living around the same people for your entire life. Nothing new.
There are also a few stores in the area, just enough for groceries, clothing and of course country needed supplies. The skies always seem to be blue, hovering over the creek that runs through the edge of town. The other edge of town contains an abandoned railroad system and station that was once used way before everyone's time. Its a popular place to smoke, throw a bonfire and of course, sneak off to.
Like everywhere, there is sometimes crime, its scarce and usually not as horrible as big city crime. Things like domestic abuse, drinking while driving and possibly aggravated assault are common, but the sheriff's office isn't ever really full with anything but the first two. The usual problematic citizens live in the slums near the railroad track, but even the people there aren't too bad.
Not a lot of people have lots of money here, since it isn't really needed for their small little suburban homes and the few stores in town. Gas is cheap, and so is everything else. Life in a small town is slower, and lot more easier. Word does get around quickly, but hey, its just how it is.
The people here are kind, and old folk. Most of the time, they are married to people they went to high school with, and usually only hold a high school diploma, since work here was pretty simplistic. Though, there are some who moved on to bigger and better things, such as the few doctors and business people in the area.
The city of Fort Monroe is like any other small town, with little to do, and little life to live. Its the perfect place.. to decide your destiny in. Welcome!
Welcome to Fort Monroe High School! Home of the fighting gold and red bulldogs. Could it get more cliche then this?
Fort Monroe High School is a larger high school with multiple buildings for each of the grouping subjects. You've got the academics section, the science section, the foreign language section, of course the main office and guidance office, a fine arts building, and along with a construction building for classes that require agriculture, building, cooking, cosmetology and more. Allow me to discuss the highlighting features of the school.
There are 8 periods a day, all with a 5 minute passing period between. School days are from 8-3:35. Lockers line the halls of the Academics building, but not many people really enjoy the use of them. Each building aside from the construction building is two stories.
Academics building:
Here is the biggest building and where most core classes are held. The classes held here include:
English (1-4) (Downstairs)
Algebra 1 (Upstairs) (Freshman)

Physics (Downstairs) (Junior)
Anatomy (Downstairs) (Senior pick)
Environmental Sciences (Downstairs) (Senior Pick)
Foreign Language Building:
This is where classes that include language teachings include, along with a few extra that needed a spot. The grades for these really depend, but most of the foreign language courses only require that you take two of the classes during your Freshman and Sophomore year, so they don't really have to be there for Juniors and Seniors. The classes here include:

Spanish 2 (Upstairs)
Spanish 3 (Upstairs)
Spanish 4 (Upstairs)

You can be a Library Aide Senior year.
Main Office:
This is where you pick up papers, sign detention sheets, visit the principal and get copies.
You can be an office Aide once you reach senior year.
Guidance Office:
This is where your friendly counselors are and your nurses! This is also where you sign out to leave for the day, get a parking pass and the first thing you see as a new student. Your schedule is determined here as well.
You can be an office Aide here Senior year.
Fine Arts Building:
This is where band, and choir stay. Its basically their safe place inside of either their band hall or their orchestra hall.
The classes here include:
Marching Band/Concert Band and Choir
Auditorium:
The auditorium is where most of the theatre kids like to sit and its where school gatherings happen as well. Its quite the large place, considering the entire town will come to watch their kids act in shows or sing at concerts.
Construction Building:
This is where all the ag and cooking classes are. It always seems to smell of oil, and its quite large. The classes here include:
Mechanics
Woodshop

Wildlife Management
Medical Sciences
Gym:
This is a larger building with two gyms inside. Classes here include:
Health
Athletics
PE
(Any sport is fine)
Of course no small town campus is complete without its football stadium hailing the fighting bulldog on the field, as well as its two gyms that stay near it for the athletic kids!
The school is filled with few teachers, most being alumni of the high school. The staff here is full of old people who wish to maintain order, but kids will be kids. Its a beautiful open campus, with much to do. Feel right at Home!! Or don't.
Welcome to the plot section of the thread. Here I will relay the plot!
You are a senior graduating in a few months from the High School. Your interpretation of high school is all yours to have. Did you enjoy it? Will you miss it? Are you ready to get the hell out of it? Its all up to you. Events happen, they always do. Like it was said, its a bunch of he said, she said gossip. I'm not one to prohibit the characters in a roleplay. Periodically, I will introduce events and such for the roleplay, so just have fun and relax! Roleplay around and such! Its all fun and open world.
Remember, these are your last months. Many of you probably haven't known much of the world outside of the city, so its nerve wracking to be going to college. Don't forget the fun nostalgia of the 80s in the roleplay of course!
So, really, there isn't many rules here. You can include a face claim, or don't. I don't mind if they're realistic or anime, I kind of prefer anime if I'm honest, but some don't. Feel free to include things like a playlist, or a even a mood board. I will review your character, and add you into the student list! Enjoy!
Format:
(Face Claim if you want)
Last Name, First Name, Middle I
Age: (Seniors, usually around 17-18)
Appearance Description:
Clothing Style:

Dislikes:
Living Situations:
Siblings: (If any)
Parents or Guardians:
Childhood: (Basically a backstory)
Feelings About School:
Schedule:
Now okay, so with the schedule, I have to approve, but basically you can pick 8 of whatever I listed in the High School tab. Remember, you have to have a math, a history, a science and an English. The rest is up to you, and how your character is pertaining to it.
For each period, every person roleplaying gets five responses, with passing period you are allowed three. For after school, communicate with each other on the hours of course! The roleplay will start in the month of March, on Monday, April 12, 1981.

2. Cursing is allowed, Dark subjects are allowed (Include a trigger warning)
3. No Smut, fade to black or something.
4. Romance between the characters is fine!
5. No arguing with each other, lets all be kind.
6. Respect others.
7. Be kind to those who are AFK. Sometimes we all get a little busy!
8. Notify me if you decide on leaving the thread for good!
9. If you are gone for multiple days, be sure to tell me! I understand!
10: Be creative and have fun!
Hey! So I'm not quite sure how many people this roleplay will tag along, but feel free to hang out, discuss roleplay and overall just chill, lmao. In the tabs above, you will find resources for things such as the plot, the settings and of course the characters. I will create another thread for the character respiratory, and of course I will accept them and review them, and if they are fit I will add them to a list. No worries, I wont be funny about characters, everyone is unique in their own way, and that is totally alright. In all honesty, the act of reviewing the character is just so I can see if I might need more info from your creation. It also may or may not be because I want a chance to get to know everyone as well, and you should do the same. Anyways! Welcome! Feel free to ask questions!
