Fantasy What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Ireth looked at Virion curious. "What are you working on now?" She asked leaning back in her chair. "Please tell me not something that could get us all killed..." She added.

After all their first encounter he made a bomb as if it was no big deal at all. She was curious in a way because she wanted to know what she should be prepared for.

@The Endergod

Red quickly turned his head to the elven alchemist. "Virion, whatever your working on, just please don't make it blow up half of your workshop like last time. That was really hard to clean up, purple goop everywhere."

Red then proceeded to snatch a piece of paper off of the wooden table and stare at it for awhile. Red looked up at everyone, he wondered who would be the best person to take over leadership of the Blue Moon Company. Eltrial was always a good guy, he wouldn't have any trouble right? What about Evangelina? She had a lot of experience in life, being as old as she is, to top it off she's kind as well.

"Hey, who really has the most experience in leadership?" Red thought out loud.

"Hey, who really has the most experience in leadership?"

Evangelina heard Red call out, her pale eyes glancing over to him. She reached out and picked up a piece of paper for her own, asking herself the same question, though not out loud. The snow elf bit her lip, not knowing whether to put down her own name or someone else's. It was true she was knowledgeable in many things, and someone who had traveled the lands for many years. But, was she a leader?

With a confident look, Evangelina wrote down a name and folded it before placing it back on the table. Virion had entered the common room before her, and as usual, he seemed to be very involved in his work. Evangelina was an alchemist as well, though the two never had time to converse about the topic. He was always locked up in his room, working the days away.

Stepping away from the table and pouring herself a cup of steaming coffee, the beautiful white-haired elf took a seat, enjoying the warmth of the cup in her hand. She observed the others while taking a sip, her big blue eyes filled with warmth. Evangelina set the cup down, letting out a relaxed sigh shortly after.

Karut let out a laugh as Red let out the question everyone else was thinking of. He picked his barrel back up with one hand and placed it on his shoulder to carry it.

"Well, it's certainly not me. I'm just the guy who brews the ale. Speaking of which, I need to get back up there and finish; I'm working on a brand new recipe! Give me a holler if you need me!"

He trudged back up the stairs and dissapeared down the hallways and into his room, setting the barrel down inside and lifting the broken door off the floor and fitting it back into place.

Red hastily scribbled a name down on his paper before folding it and slamming it on the middle of the table. A heavy sigh escaped his mouth as he grabbed a muffin off of the table and began to politely eat it. It tasted pretty good, but it needed a tad bit more flour.

After Red finished off he walked to the storeroom to grab a broom. Upon entering he silently marveled at the sheen of the sharp weapons hanging on the walls, it was truly a sight to behold. After, he walked back into the common room and started his daily duties. First up was to sweep all of the floors. Red made sure to get every spec of dust into the garbage as he quietly cleaned up the basement and within a matter of minutes, he was finished. Red once more, sat down and started tapping his feet in anticipation.

"This is... Boring..." Fireflies spoke softly through his helmet. "The storeroom is running low on supplies... especially on food..." Crouching down on his heels the child tapped the floor with his dart. "Let's play a game to make some money." He then crawled from under the table so he could stand. He quietly approached Eltrial and swiped the mission request from his belt. "Um..." He looked at the parchment with his head cocked to the side. He then turned the paper upside down. Remembering he could read he placed the paper on the table as he pulled himself up. "Who ever get's the most troll belts win and they can choose the next mission...."

Several beetles and ants had created line from Frieflies room to the muffins that had been prepared. They were carrying two of them to his room.

Eltrial frowned, and pulled the dagger from Tome out of his belt. He turned it in his large hands and muttered, "This wont do..."

He returned to the bell and the knocker, and began to beat them together. The noise would echo throughout the Companies hiding place loudly, and he would pause, then remark loudly, "I don't much care how stupid of a method you all think this is. I don't really care regardless who becomes leader. But you all joined the company, which means you WILL be a part of. This is a Company matter. We need to discuss this and decide on a new leader, even if it is a temporary solution until Tome comes back, or if he ends up never returning, we need to hold things together as a group, and add to the wealth of this place, or we will end up alone, and poor. This is as unforgiving a world as exists, and none of us are chivalry or nobility, so there is no easy ride or parties to attend. You are offered a choice here. Choose to allow this place to fall to ruins, or help it rise into something that will one day be legendary, long after our times have passed." He said looking around the room.

"Now, I'm going to try this again." He reached over to the notification board and pulled a fresh sheet of parchment from a retainer, and he began writing on it, "Since some of us cant write, and others of us are choosing to not want to, I'll ask verbally for your votes. I'm putting my own name down for my vote. Yes, I'm voting for myself." he said with a slight growl.

"Next?" He asked, looking around at his gathered company members.

Leah, grinned as she listened to Eltrial lay down his promise of a good fight should it come down to it. To be honest, she'd probably toss it just to not deal with the hindrance of being in charge. While she would do her best should the responsibility come to her shoulders. If anything she would have gathered the others, figured who was the smartest and best fighters and made a council. Anything to keep her out of trouble.

In fact, staying out of trouble, despite the irony behind the situation, was exactly why she had joined the company. Sure, fighting and searching out trouble was the point of the job, but they put an end to it, and after her time with her tribe, she was more than happy to be rid of it. Rolling off the rafter, Leah landed neatly on the floor before walking through the crowd and picking up a random biscuit.

Taking a couple bites, Leah nodded in appreciation as she squeezed through the crowd and over to Eltrial as he spoke of vocalising his opinions. The man wasn't wrong, everyone else was in fact milling about over the non-specifics and the like, and all it really did was make a mess, and yet here he stood, actually taking action.

"I second the vote for Eltrial as leader," the tiny half-faerie spoke before turning and giving him a friendly punch on the half giants hip, the easiest height for her to manage slugging, "Just do yourself a favour big guy, watch your chin, I'd hate to knock a couple teeth out if I we squared go when I clock you in the jaw."

As Leah finished joking she nodded once more before finishing her biscuit and heading over to the wall where her lance rested.

"Are we gonna finish up and go get this job done, or keep whining about who's goan'a give us a bottle and tuck us in at night?" Leah jibed playfully as she leaned against her lance and gestured to the door.

Ireth was slightly surprised at Eltrial. Right now he really was the only one leading. No one else had taken the position. "I vote you." She said despite her previous vote based on the prideful notion that elves should be in charge.

She looked at the half faerie as she had given her vote. The elf didn't know much about fairies let alone a half one, but this one seemed very spirited. "Yes let's go rid these dwarves of their goblin problems..." She muttered not really that interested in helping them. However, she would set their differences aside for the sake of the company. She was apart of something bigger now and would look at it as such. Ireth stood up and stretched and walked over to where the door and Leah was.

@Veirrianna Valentine

Eltrial's sudden actions startled Fireflies. He tensed clinging onto his dart with both sleeve covered hands. Slowly he climbed down from the table. Just before he went back under it to hide a small voice called out to him. Fireflies turn to see what it was.

He saw a moth fly around their underground hang out and land on Eltrial's shoulder. Eyeing the insect down Fireflies verbally asked, "Are you sure?" The moth simply fluttered it wings minding its own business. "...no game?.. that's no fun." The child reluctantly dragged his feet to Eltrial. Standing on his toes he offered the large man his dart with an outstretched arm. Fireflies' vote had been submitted.

"I'm lazy enough ayy? Once now i'll let it flow. I'll vote for our current highest, i'm really not one for it." Cierra spoke, with wavering eyes and hands. "If anything, he 'has' been the one in frontline leadership." The girl shifted her vision, "But still, we should pick up the pace, and i'll be on my wayyyyyyyyyyyy, now." As soon as the brunette finished her sentence, she summoned her chainblades to her sides and one hand, hopping and spinning up through the trapdoor with a sort of grace, as slumped and laid-back as she seemed. Cierra usually preferred to be solo, all the while not recklessly so, as she rested in the warmth of her allies when required.

So, i decided to speed things up.

ALSO, i was dead for 2 days and i thought this'd rocket into the skies of Demacia.

Red's crimson eyes widened as Eltrial gave his speech. "Well, I was going to vote for myself, but it looks like you've outplayed me big fella. I'm rooting for you Eltrial, but as compensation, ill be taking a promotion later." He jokingly stated. Red stood up and slid his wooden chair back under the table to go on with his duties as Watchman.

After quickly dashing to the storeroom to get some cleaning supplies, he ran throughout the hallway scurrying from room to room, cleaning up everyones bed's and tidying up everyones rooms. As usual Red made sure they were clean and met each individual members specifications. Every person in the Blue Moon had certain ways they wanted their rooms to be organized, as soon as Red got his title as company cleaner he immediately drilled those methods into his brain. If your stuck with a title that isn't appealing, you may as well do a good job of it. There's no point in slacking if you know your gonna do it repetitively.

Once again, in only a mere couple of minutes Red had his second job over and done with.

A thud on wood could be heard as the brunette hopped back into the tavern of sorts. She scanned the area, seeing some known faces, and some unknown ones. The girl was quite famous for eliminating a certain someone in the past, and it brought many happy faces to surround her, yet it filled her with grief; the slain opposition was her sister, Aria. The girl slumped back into a chair with a couple of knights she knew from around the area. She had an eccentric sort of crowd, though that made sense. One was boyish and brutal. The other was simply always indifferent. After her vote, Cierra just decided to sit there, waiting and conversing till the mission would be initiated.

Sighing, nightmare nodded. "I to was going to vote for myself, but it seems as you have everyone outvoted already." She sated from her perch on the table. "I guess I will be rooting for you." She said to Eltrial. Placing her hands into her pockets she tugged at the current disguise she was wearing. She never seemed to show her real self, unless she was on a mission.

"Well at least one of you lot is interested in more than just mindless violence, and that was one time, Red. How was I supposed to know not to try to make a mutagen bomb? You know, more of you should study some form of science, then we'd actually get somewhere, but where was I? Ah yes, I was working on a new mutagen that would allow the user to have extremely enhanced sight. I just can't get it to not make the users eyes not half the size of their heads and to not grow four additional eyes." He then observed as everyone around him had started voting for the meat chunk instead of the actually smart one. He sighed and placed his hand over his face. "Well seeing that everyone would rather vote for a charismatic giant mass of muscle instead someone who actually has some brains, I might as well too. Although I would like to warn you oh big one, that if things go out of hand, you're entirely at fault. And with that I wish you good luck and good fortune in all of your future endeavors, you'll need it." He stood up, cracked his neck, and started to walk back off towards his workshop to go and pack up somethings for the journey ahead.

Eltrial frowned deeply and let his shoulders slouch. He had voted for himself to get things moving, not to be voted for. However, he would rise to the challenge of leadership once again.

"So be it. At this point, even without a unanimous vote, I have taken enough votes to be elected leader." He sighed as he spoke.

He paused, and wrinkled his nose at Virion, "Just because I'm not a chemist does not mean I'm not intelligent elf. Don't assume that my skull is hollow, as you may one day depend on what is between my ears."

He frowned deeply, and pulled the missive regarding the dwarves issue out of his belt, regarding it, "This might be a good start for our company. Fifty pounds of gold is a lot. I think it would be frugal to negotiate for more once we meet with the contact however... I've had some dealings with dwarves, and despite their legendary greed... I think I can convince them that it would be cheaper to pay us what we want, then to lose the mine for much longer." he said slowly, mulling a few ideas over in his head.

He looked about the company and remarked, "Any that wish to come along are welcome to. I'd like at the very least four others to accompany me, though I'd accept our entire company on an endeavor of this size. I have visited these mines once in the past... they are large... and Goblins are gateway creatures that usually attract a host of other foul beasts. The longer we hold off on this, the higher the chance either someone else goes and tries, and possibly gets themselves killed, or collects the reward, or that the goblins really dig in and create a hive, at which point routing them would involve fire..." He frowned, "Which... is bad within the mines..."

Sighing, "I will go." She said as she looked down and back up at their new leader. She hummed a bit to herself as she awaited permission or acceptance or a reply even. She may be a trained assassin, But she still awaited company percussions. Meaning she went in a group mission if available. She smirked a bit at Eltrial's remark to the chemist. Sighing she slid off the table and smiled her fake smile. "I hope we can get this settled then. " She said at his explanation before starting to head off to her room.

The door to Karut's room broke down again as he dashed out in a wild charge, stopping inches away from Eltrial. His mace was at his belt, and already his little amount of armor that he had was equipped, which was little more than leather pants, a leather cuirass, and a large leather gauntlet on his right arm. He looked down at Eltrial with a large grin, crossing his arms.

"I think it goes without saying that I'm coming with you."

Fireflies Groaned when he realized Eltrial wasn't going to take his dart. He covered the dart with his hand stepping away from the half giant. Talk of going out on a mission made the boy shy away from the group. He had been with the company since he was about five. Three years had passed since then and he had not gone out on a mission with a party once. Why would now be any different.

From the crack under his door, oversized ants and beetles carried his darts and a dartboard. Fireflies had felt like playing a game. He collected his darts from the ants as two large beetles flew into the air with the dart board. They were buzzing about the common area in sync giving the child a moving target to hit with the darts.

Ireth nodded at Eltrial "yes lets go defeat these goblins... they are worse than dwarves." she said going to her room to get a nap sack. She packed some elven bread she made a few days ago out of a secret recipe with flour and some herbs. It would be good sustenance to have for the journey. She grabbed a knife she had found a few days ago and took ownership of it.

She braided her hair back and grabbed her cloak. She was ready for travel and for battle. Although it troubled her to be going into mines. She was never fond of being in such dark places.

The elf walked back out to the company and stood with those who were going.

@Kazanna

"Ill be going with you Eltrial, I just need those repairs on my sword done if that's not too much of a hassle." Red exclaimed as he quietly packed up the cleaning supplies he brought out.

Red walked down to the end of the hallway and entered his room. Inside was a neatly made bed with maroon colored sheets and blankets, next to it an old wooden bedside table with a ceramic lamp on top. On the other side of the room there was a large shelf containing mystical looking amulets and charms of all shapes and sizes. Not to far away from that was a small wardrobe containing outfits and belts of various lengths.

Red approached his shelves and snatched a circular yellow talisman off of the highest one. As he tied it to the largest belt he was wearing, Red took another good look in his wardrobe. 'I really need to get some more clothes...' He thought to himself while walking back into the common room to make himself a nice cup of tea.

Once he got back to his workshop, he grabbed his pack that was siting beside the door, and closed the door behind him. He took all the things he could possibly put into said pack and carefully placed them in, until he could barely close it. Then he grabbed his long overcoat from the hook on the back of his door and slipped it on. He grabbed his small powder keg and filled it and strapped it to the top of his pack. He seized his belt hanging from the wall above his workbench and put it on.Then he placed a bunch of random mutagens that he thought would come in handy in the upcoming battles. Once he was sure that he had everything he needed, he stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him. He returned to the common room with all his gear and asked allowed, "So, when are we setting off?"

Prospective Party For First Mission

Leader: Eltrial Halfson

Tank: Karut Briingheim

Assassins: "Nightmare" Culsta Maki,

Sorcerers: Ireth Amadil

Assaults: Red Xu Kai

Support: Virion Glyngeiros

Eltrial nodded slowly, "We'll need a few more for an expedition of this size." he stated.

He took up a sheet of parchment, and quill from one of the retainers on the wall beside the board. Before the charcoal was fine, but this was more formal to him He wrote down a bit of information, and then glanced up.

"Fireflies was it? You've been with the company longer then most here correct? Handle equipment, and requisitions? I apologize, but I need you to come along towards negotiating with the dwarves." He said, trying to soften his usually grating tone.

The half giant loomed over the parchment with the mission specifics, and the one he was taking notes onto.

"It's a mine as well... Leah. How good is your vision in the dark?" He asked the Half-Orc with narrowed eyes. It was common knowledge Orcs had slightly better then average night vision, and even more so that Faeries could nearly see in the dark. "I need a spotter. One who's light of foot. Goblins are atrociously notorious for keeping their tunnels black as pitch and they have superb hearing. I dislike ambushes." he stated, looking at Leah pointedly.

Then he turned his attention back to his notes for a moment, "Not enough for those mines... If they're having issues, and put up a reward with any money, and didn't hire within their clan..." He narrowed his eyes again, and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

With a shake of his head, he released a sigh, "No, It won't be safe without numbers." he said slowly.

He turned to those gathered, "This mission requires the companies full support. We can't send a small group for something like this. We've no idea what awaits us and little more what could happen. I'd much rather if everyone present were to join into this." He said looking around, "And go wake up anyone who isn't present. This is a great deal of coin, more could be had for the bartering of it." he said with nearly the speech authority of an actual leader.

@BlankName @Veirrianna Valentine @Knight Nate @CoffeeTea @SirFlabberghaspy

"R-really?!" The child's usual monotone voice perked up a bit. He jumped twice before looking around embarrassed. He held a hand over the bear muzzle on his helmet and cleared his throat, "I mean, Yes sir...But... I don't know much about negotiating."

A hoard of beetles and various other insects poured out from Fireflies' room forcing the door to open. The bugs carried a slingshot, a small bag stuffed with slingshot ammo, and a small empty back pack for collectibles. He dropped his darts to his 'helpers' as he gathered what they brought him. Lastly they brought him a pair of boots.

As he put his boots on with haste the boy interjected when Eltrial mentioned sight, "I can see in the Dark Eltree. I never miss a dart when i practice in my room." His room had no windows and he never used a candle in there.

FireFlies stood up and ran to the stairs that lead out of their hideout. With an old slingshot, a bag of ammo, raggedy boots, and his pack Fireflies was ready to go. Majority of the bugs that came out reseeded back into the boys room. Many crawled up under his clothes while others went into the rooms of absent Company members to agitate them enough to come out.

Nodding as Eltrial talked she sighed and turned around to him. "When are we leaving?" She asked without meeting his gaze. She walked back over and reclaimed her spot on the table. She looked at everyone as she asked the question, She may be a loner, but she was anxious to get out of the compsny's base for a while.
