June
"Right, you've done it before..." She nodded her head before continuing to look at him. Of course it didn't really mean anything to him. It meant something to her though, but according to everyone here she shouldn't have taken it to heart. It's a game. Something someone can tease about you later about. A quick peck and it was over. A part of her felt ashamed for remembering his soft lips. She had nothing to compare it to, granted, however it made her heart skip a beat, more than it normally would.

She blushed when he noticed her looking at him, coining the term of taking pictures made her instantly think he knew of the acutal picture she took of him. "Oh. Do you—" She started to say and immediately got quiet when her brain started to function. "Never mind. But, uh, pictures don't last longer." She looked away from him and to the pool, her shoulders slowly relaxing as she spoke. "They last as long as the moment does. They can't extend further or go to the before. They always end in that moment." She shook her head quickly and looked down at her cup. "I mean, I know that's not what you meant, but it's true if you think about it." She laughed even though what she said wasn't the slightest bit funny. How quickly could she run away from this conversation? "Uh, I've seen you around school." She didn't want to give him a chance to even reply to her statement. He hoped he would forget it easily. "I'm pretty new and I don't exactly know many faces yet. Do you mind telling me about yourself?"

Samantha kicked her legs playfully as Rian carried her outside in his arms. She stroked his cheek before kissing him before he set her down. The cold air nipped at them both, Rian hugging himself before Samantha started stripping. Rian gasped, insisting she put her clothes back on. She ignored him, now wearing only her bra and knickers, hugging herself and walking over to the pool's edge. There were two people nearby but she didn't care. She took off her glasses and set them by her feet, before facing Rian.
"For you, Rian"! Samantha called to him before, sloppily, diving into the pool. It took a minute for her to surface, shrieking at how cold it was.

Winona paced in her room when she got home, Matt had invited her to the party but she didn't really feel like she should go. She didn't know anyone there, besides Matt and it was at Ash's house so Jace would be there but she didn't want to nag and he didn't seem like the party type. To go, or not to go, that is the question. She stated in her head, I don't even have anything to wear besides hoodies. Winona thought too herself, but isn't that what people wear to parties? Well, at least that's what I've seen in movies. Winona walked over to her closet and pulled out a blue hoodie with and a pair of jeans. Go? Don't go? Go? Don't? Mmmm, Winona took a quick shower and pulled the outfit on grabbing her keys and tying her hair back as she walked to the address Matt gave her using her phone.

Winona stopped in front of the house, she could hear the music, she almost thought she could see the house shake but decided it was her imagination. Maybe I could just turn back around, it would be good exercise so I technically wouldn't have come out here for no reason. How do these things even work? Do you just walk in? Winona looked around her, she felt stupid for just standing out here like a creeper in front of this house. Well, here goes nothing I guess. The music attacked her ears, as well as the smell of alcohol. It was a lot to take in at once but after getting through the front door and walking inside a bit more her senses got used to it. She looked around for someone she recognized but didn't find anyone immediately. You decided to come here and go inside Winona. What now?

Plenty of times. Of course Mason had. He'd kissed and even gone all the way with his fairshare of girls throughout his high school career -- although, well, that mainly just constituted last year. To him, it was crazy to think that June never had, so he assumed that she was just like him... or at least enough like him that she had kissed people before.

He listened as she explained her view on pictures and to be honest, he was kind of stunned. "That's... actually really true. Clever, actually." Mason tapped the cigarette butt off on the side of his chair, and then simply decided he was done and dropped it on the ground, grinding the cigarette under his shoe. His Converse -- the right one which had duct taped wrapped around the front halfway up the shoe. It was his shoddy way of trying to keep his shoe usable. "You must think a lot about pictures."

At the question about himself, well, Mason didn't know how to react. "There's not much to say." He replied. The thing about Mason was that, well, he wasn't that interesting. His life was boring, and he had a habit of making super stupid decisions. "I'm the football captain, senior, I have a little brother, and..." He hesitated, thinking about the other things he could say. My mom is an abusive drunk, I work all night, Drake is a drug addict, I have a daughter, and I have no idea why I'm still here. All those thoughts ran through his head, but all he said was; "that's it."

Mason rolled his eyes as Samantha stripped, and then stumbled and fell into the pool. "Fuckin' hell," he grumbled and stood up, pulling his flannel and shirt off, tossing them on top of June, and then jumping into the pool to get the drunk girl. He went under for a moment, and then came back up with her. He set her on the side of the pool by Rian. "G-Get her inside. How much did you let her drink?" He snapped, obviously cross as he waited for Rian to get Samantha before pulling himself out.

Samantha laughed and giggled as Mason picked her up. "Easy there, bad boy, I'm taken"! She exclaimed, laughing and letting Ryan help her out.
"Too much. Thank you for that" Rian said to Mason, knowing Samantha was going to regret her actions tomorrow morning. He picked up her glasses before Samantha started to whine. "You should've jumped in after me, not that other guy".

June
June tried to play off the compliment of being clever, by shrugging and tilting her drink up. And she decided not to say anything about the fact she thought a lot about pictures. She honestly couldn't help it. She loved taking pictures, changing the settings, trying to move your body in order to get a perfect view. But, she also hated how 'in the moment' it was. She felt like she needed the whole story with every picture she took. She didn't like taking pictures with only the frozen scene. It needed to move forward in her head.

Then, she felt like she almost had it. She assumed he was apart of football by the incident on the field and his overall build. She thought it was nice he had a little brother. But she was disappointed when he said 'that's it.' So much so, she actually let out a somewhat defeated. "Oh." She was going to ask a follow up question until a noise made her look to a couple. Then she watched as the drunk girl fell in. She gasped and was about to stand up to help until she saw Mason taking off his own shirt. Twice in one night. She thought until she was caught off guard by gripping his shirt. She stood up and watched as Mason dove in to help, worried for a moment until he emerged with the girl. "It's probably best you get her towel and go inside. It wouldn't be good for her to get a cold." She suggested, hoping that she would be okay.

She then turned to Mason and placed his clothes besides the pool. She helped him up as well and tried her best to keep her cool. "Here, I'll get you both a towel." She quickly rushed inside and whizzed by people. Immediately she opened doors and what not, until she neared the bathroom. She smiled as she found the towels and prayed Ash wouldn't be mad if they used them. Rushing back out again, she handed one to the girl's boyfriend so he could dry her. Then, she handed one to Mason. "Hurry and dry yourself before you get a cold too."

R Rock And Roll Boy Winona Winona

Mason was annoyed, to say the least. What idiot brought a drunk girl out by the pool? Better yet, who let their girlfriend drink until they were this far gone? Sure, it was a party, but at some point, you needed to stop, before you started making bad decisions. Like stripping and falling into a pool in the freaking freezing cold of September. And yes, he could've left the girl's boyfriend to get her, but he didn't seem super capable. Idiot.

He had, of course, ignored her arguments about being taken. For one, he didn't care -- he didn't want the dumb girl freezing to death. And two, like a relationship would stop him from making advances if he was really interested. In the end, he was too annoyed about the situation to really listen to either of their excuses.

"Why the hell would you let her do all that?" Mason snapped as he pulled himself out of the water, only partially paying attention to June as he did so. He noticed her hurry away, figuring she was probably using this as a chance to escape. "Get her some water and food. She's freaking wasted enough to start stripping outside, and all you can do is stand there, all googly-eyed."

And then, he saw June hurrying back out with towels. Mason suddenly realized how cold he was as the biting air bit into his wet skin. "Thanks," he mumbled, taking the towel from June and started to dry his hair. His pants were soaked, though, and he wasn't sure what to do about that, other than hang around in soaked jeans all night. What fun. "C'mon, June, let's head inside." He grumbled and picked up his shirts, and headed back into the warmth of inside.

June
June sighed a little to herself. Maybe the plants metaphors weren't all that bad. It was better than going no where with Mason and him being wet from helping someone. Then a thought came to mind as she stood there. Grace was drinking. How the hell am I going to get home? She immediately hid her panic as Mason suggested going inside. As much as she wanted to deny going inside with all those party goers and the loud music, she didn't want him to be out in the cold. "Alright. Maybe we can find somewhere to warm you up." She suggested cheerfully, even though he didn't look cheerful at all.

Once they entered, June looked around. "There must be something in this huge house... Have you been here before?" She asked him, raising her voice a little so he would hear her. She could barely hear herself. She didn't want to stay still for very long, she didn't think Grace would be looking for her. However she didn't want to talk to her again. "She might have a heater or something right?"

En route to the hospital Officer Richards decided to switch on the sirens. He felt the boy's burning forehead and then reached for the radio to call it in. Drunk youth, possible alcohol poisoning. Name: Stuart French. White male of 13 or 14. Westbrook High student.

They arrived at the emergency department on the south side of Westbrook Heights Medical Center. The officer helped the barely conscious passenger into a wheelchair. He was foaming at the mouth and sweating up a storm. From there the paramedics rushed him up the ramp to the E.R.

A row of blue-tinted lights ran along the ceiling and illuminated the hospital’s sterile corridors. The double doors to the E.R. swung back on their hinges, separating the waiting area with the green plastic benches from the emergency ward. The entrance was wide to facilitate an unpredictable traffic of patients and stretchers, but the hospital was unusually and eerily quiet for a Friday night.

The hectic scene that followed could be glimpsed through the thin, vertical panes on the doors. They placed the boy on the bed. He was convulsing and had to be held down by a team of paramedics. When he settled, a tube was pushed down his mouth to the windpipe to help regulate his breathing. Then a standard protocol was observed. An intravenous needle was inserted at the forearm and a catheter into the bladder. The paramedics considered but decided against pumping the stomach. They took away his dirty clothes, checked him for further injuries and slipped him into a hospital gown. A specialist was rushed downstairs in a hurry to discuss the possibility of a kidney dialysis.

When Officer Richards emerged from the E.R., holding a bag containing Stuart’s orange jacket and his other articles of clothing and his soccer wallet, the waiting room was as empty as it had been when he entered. The receptionist was playing Angry Birds on her phone, presumably because she had nothing better to do with herself. Officer Richards got a coffee from the vending machine. He called up the station. It turned out information had returned on the boy which he had brought in. He took down the landline digits on a piece of paper and immediately got hold of Stuart’s father, Martin French, from the hospital phone.

‘Hello?’

‘Am I speaking with Mr. Martin French?’

‘Yes, this is he speaking. . . How may I help you?’

‘My name is Officer Jim Richards. I’m calling from the Westbrook Heights Medical Center.’

Radio silence.

‘Mr. French, are you listening?’

‘I am, yes.’

‘I’m calling in regards to your son, Stuart.’

Martin’s voice broke over the line. ‘Oh my God. . . what’s happened?’

He told the father what happened. Part of that conversation went along the lines of: ‘Stuart has severe alcohol poisoning. He was drinking very strong liquor. . . He’s passed out, but the doctors are monitoring him very closely. He was already in a bad shape when I found him. . . I’m afraid it’s quite serious. I think you should come as soon as you can. We're in the emergency wing on the south side of the building.’

He didn’t dwell on the unpleasant details. No father should have to hear such things about his son, let alone over the phone.

Alester McGregor
Alester laughed "Yeh, I will spare this boy by taking just a picture" The garden was getting crowdy and people started to jump into the pool and begin to do dumb shit. Alester was way to sober for this "Alright, let's get inside and do the shots"
Alester walked past Mason who jumped into the pool to safe the girl in there. Alester didn't really felt the need to help, he found it was the girls responsibility, and that Mason wanted to help her was just very nice of him. Alester thought by himself that Mason would make a great dad.

Once inside the shot glasses weren't difficult to find. Alester grabbed six of them and started to pour them full with his favorite drink. Pastis. It came all the way from France and it tasted a bit like liqourice, Alester loved it while others found it disgusting. He placed the shot glasses in two rows of three and looked at Drake "So, another bet? Whoever drinks there shots the fastest has to come up with a dare for the other"

By now, Mason had departed from Rian and Samantha and didn't hear his retort. He glanced at June and nodded his head. "Yeah, just follow me." He called to June over the pounding music as he started weaving his way through the crowds of people until finally, coming to a quiet hallway that led down to the laundry room. Mason opened the door and stepped inside. The room wasn't exactly warmer than the rest of the house, but it did have a dryer, and Mason would not be dealing with wet pants for the rest of the party. This party was already turning out miserable enough as it was, and wet pants would just make it worse.

"Used to come here all the time when I was little, so I kind of know my way around." Mason explained as he tossed his shirts onto the folding table because just like every other room in the house, it was extravagant, and more than what normal households had. "You can either turn around or get out. I'm taking off my pants." He warned June, and then unbuttoned his pants, slipping them off and tossing them into the dryer. Mason finished drying himself off, and then wrapped the towel around his lower half.

Ash was relieved, to say the least. She took Grace's hand and a bottle of vodka, then lead her away from the kitchen, although she skirted the majority of the dancing. It was too loud down there to have a proper conversation, and that was kind of what Ash wanted. Kind of. Part of her regretted stealing Grace away in the first place. "Still up for drinking more?" She asked, holding up the bottle as she finally stopped and leaned back against the wall. Ash took off the cap, taking a sip. By this point, she didn't really have the same burning sensation from it that she had earlier in the night.

"So, what happened with Sawyer? Did you find out why she got so upset?" Ash asked and held the bottle out to Grace, in case she was still interested. Which, with how this party was going, it seemed like everyone was probably up for getting as drunk as possible. "Was it because she didn't want you stealing her best friend to date?" Okay, so the question was partially a joke, and partially serious. After all, although Ash hated to admit it, part of her kind of... enjoyed Ryan's company. Who knew he had a heart? But if Grace was actually interested, she wouldn't go after Ryan. That's what friends did.

Well, Alester could do what he wanted, but Drake was not going to miss this opportunity. He pulled out his phone, quickly turning on the video to get the last of Neck-Tie pissing in the petunias, and then Jace dragging him away. Satisfied, he ended the video and slipped his phone back in his pocket. "Right. Great. Shots." Drake said sarcastically. He wasn't a drinker, but he had agreed to do this so, well... he was kind of stuck. He just had to believe in Petunia Pisser. So he followed after Alester, glancing over as Mason jumped into the pool, and Drake found himself rolling his eyes. It was just like his brother to try and "save the day." He was annoying. Why not just leave the girl in there? Why did he feel the need to jump in after her?

Drake leaned against the counter, watching as Alester poured the shots. "You do not mess around with this. Lot of shots." He picked one up, sniffing the drink before setting it back down. "You're only making that dare because you know you'll win. I don't drink, so it's gonna take me forever trying not to puke up this nasty stuff." Drake gestured towards the nasty shots, making a dirty face at them before smiling once more back at Alester. "Although I guess we could."

Sawyer
Sawyer twirled her finger around the rim of the glass that Grace had filled with Crown and Sprite upon Sawyer's request. She'd only taken a few sips of it, being to preoccupied watching Grace's lips move as she talked to June and then later Ash. Honestly, Sawyer wasn't very good at this whole "try not to be super obvious" thing so she'd given up trying not to look at Grace a while ago. When Ash and Ryan appeared and Ash drug Grace off to....do something, she hadn't been paying much attention to Ash.

Sawyer watched the two of them walk off until she couldn't see them anymore. Having completely forgotten about Ryan's presence, Sawyer turned back around in her chair and placed her head in her arms on the table. Her shoulders shook with a quiet laugh and she raised her head again to down the rest of her drink in one go. Sawyer couldn't care less about the repercussions and wicked hangover she was bound to have tomorrow. Her head was up in the clouds and everything else just didn't seem to matter. She found herself excited for tomorrow for the first time in a long time. This weekend was going to be the best she'd ever had.

"Woo!" Sawyer tilted her head back and shouted up at the ceiling. One arm shot out and whacked Ryan square in the chest and Sawyer recoiled for a moment before realizing who it was standing there. "Oh, sorry, bro." She chuckled and dropped her arm and reached over the counter to grab the rest of the Crown bottle. With a new pep in her step she got up and walked around the kitchen to rummage for more Sprite. With her head inside the refrigerator she called out to Ryan.

"You've got one guess." She closed the fridge, Sprite in hand, "Have at it." Sawyer was too dazed right now to have the good sense that she probably shouldn't out Grace to Ryan. Besides, it's not like he was gonna tell anyone anyway. Ryan was cool like that. Sawyer brought a newly filled glass to her lips with a grin as she awaited Ryan's guess.

Wendy was already walking home, hugging herself as the cold air nipped at her. She regretted wearing such a short skirt as her bare legs were getting beyond cold. Her bare feet were numb as they kissed the rough pavement. She sniffled and inhaled sharply before sneezing into her arm, hiding her nose as it started to run.
"Great. Gotta walk home with a potential cold".

Grace
Grace didn’t have a choice to not follow Ash after grabbing her hand. But she chose to do so earlier, she lead her away from her kitchen. Though farther away from dancing, Grace wasn’t complaining. She didn’t feel like dancing anyway, she just said yes because Ash asked. Who then asked if she was up for more drinking, “I shouldn’t be.. But i am.” She shrugged, And leaned against the wall near her, the smile on Grace’s face definitely noticable. The kiss earlier had excited her to say the least.

‘So, What happened with Sawyer? Did you find out why she got so upset?’ Yeah, turns out.. it was nothing y’know. She just likes me and thought that i was gay, she thought that she wrong, but we kissed because she was right. And it was amazing. “Yep, found out. It’s all good now.” Grace said, taking the bottle from Ash’s hands and taking a swig, if Ash asked why her cheeks were red at this time she’ll blame it on the alcohol. Grace raised a brow when Ash asked if it could’ve been about Ryan. “Haha, funny.” She said playfully, after a few seconds while she sighed, turning more serious. “I only said i would date Ryan..Because there were no guys that i would actually go out with at that table.” She admitted. Maybe she wouldn’t go out with any guy, at any table. In other words, I’m gay. But in those few words..it was partially the truth..And she hoped that’d be enough for now. Grace wished she could gush about the kiss to Ash, she’d been thinking about telling her for a while. But she never had the guts to do it.

What if in some way she didn’t want to be friends anymore? They’d been friends since they were kids, either way it went..Grace didn’t want to risk it. “So, is the gracious host of this party enjoying herself?” She said referring to Ash, as she changed the subject, Just in-case drunk Grace would say something she’d regret. Bumping her slightly with her shoulder, “It don’t seem like you’re having tons of fun.” Grace shrugged. “Or am i just not as perceptive as i think i am? Pretty sure the alcohol isn’t helping..” She said as she handed the bottle back.

Ryan took the hit square in the chest. Which being tipsy sent him back a couple of feet. He sighed as he gathered his balance to keep him from falling. He looked around to see that it was Sawyer that hit him. If it was anyone else he would probably cuss them out, but for her he wasn't going to. "No prob." He said before she went to the fridge. She than asked him to guess. He could tell by the new pep in her step that something great had happened. "I'm... gonna say.... A kiss..." He said. He was intoxicated, so it was just a guess. He walked over to a chair and took a seat. He took a big gulp from his water. It was cold water so it would hopefully keep him from blacking out. He held the cup to his mouth for a few seconds before finishing the cup.

Sawyer
Sawyer grinned at Ryan as he guessed right and slammed her drink down on the counter causing the contents to slosh about. "Yes." She sighed, leaning her head against Ryan's chest. Sawyer's face practically radiated with glee. She would never admit that she might have squeed a little bit. Just a little.

"And it was the best kiss I've ever had in my entire life, and that is saying something, my man." She removed her head and looked up at him with a sudden hint of fear, "But, shit, I wasn't supposed to tell you that. She's not out yet. This didn't happen." She paused. Well now he definitely knew it was Grace. Nice going, Sawyer. You're so good at this. God damnit.

"I will murder you and throw you into the sea if you tell anyone." She threatened, jabbing a finger into his chest. But her hard expression morphed into a smile all of the sudden, "Dude, I feel like I just won the lottery."

Ash noticed how red Grace was, and how she seemed to almost be off in her own little world. But maybe it was just the alcohol? Or... well, she wasn't really sure what else it could have been. "You seem awfully happy after hanging out with Sawyer for a bit." She teased, and looked out over the party. It was still going strong. Ash listened as Grace explained why she chose Ryan, and she couldn't help but laugh. "Good point -- the table didn't exactly have a ton of winners." She joked. Her options had been limited to Ryan or Kanen, or any of the girls at the table. But ladies aside, well... neither guy was exactly a good choice. If it had been Ash, she probably would've said neither. Maybe.

"Well, my night could be going better." Ash sighed heavily and her shoulders slouched a bit as she looked away from the party towards Grace. "I feel bad about Truth or Dare. It was such a mess, and everyone is angry. And then Kanen stormed off and I should've gone after him. Someone should've, but instead we just solidified what he said. No one cares." Well, that wasn't entirely true. She was pretty sure that June had tried to go after him, but seeing as how Ash later saw June with Mason, there was no way she'd gotten through to him. Ash was sure he would've just turned on her, too, but she should've at least tried.

"Instead I just spent the evening in my room with Ryan." She grumbled and took the bottle from Grace, chugging down more than she would like to admit, before handing it back over to her. "Sorry. You should go back to enjoying the party. Hanging out with Sawyer. You two seem to be getting along really well."

Alester knew that Drake didn't drink much. Alester had something in mind for this night. Something had changed during summer about Drake, well, Alesters feelings towards Drake had changed. With Mason and Alester spending so much time together Alester got to know more of Drake. Mason and Drake didn't really mix well, but Alester could get along pretty well with the brothers.

The redhead laughed at Drake "Three of these and you'll have a blast of a night, you don't actually need to take someting else". Alester knew that Drake probably wanted to use drugs if someone had brought them. Alester was against drugs. Alcohol was fine by him, but drugs was a step too far.

"Alright, I count to three and then we have to take these shots... one.. two.. three" Alester took the first shotglass, drank it placed it down and repeated it for the next two glasses. The sweet liqour burned a little in his troat but he loved the sweet taste of it.

Grace

Grace eyebrows raised in surprise. Then she nodded thoughtfully. “Kanen’s...difficult to deal with sometimes. But i hope he’s okay.” Maybe whenever Grace sees him she’ll ask if he’s doing alright..she felt worried? maybe that’s just the alcohol doing it’s magic. She sighed and agreed. “But yeah, truth or dare might’ve been a bad idea. But then again, when is everyone at westbrook not angry?” She shook her head, and regretted it soon after. The room spinning wasn’t a nice sight to see.

“I dared my not-sister to kiss Mason. And it was..her first kiss? she seems like such a..introverted girl, i should’ve realized. I’m a terrible person.” She said, picking at a loose thread on her shirt. Grace shrugged “I’ll deal with the guilt another day, no reason to do it now.” The alcohol in her system convincing her not to care for a night was a break she didn’t know she needed.

When Ash mentioned she spent the evening with Ryan, her head shot up in her direction. Ash took the bottle and chugged some of it down. “In your room?” She said teasingly, as she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. “Interesting.” Grace said, the tone of tease still very strong. Ash handed her back the bottle. And it was her turn to chug down much more of it when Ash said she should be hanging out with Sawyer.

Grace laughed, “What are you sorry for? I’m still enjoying the party.” Clearing her throat and mostly Ignoring what Ash said about Sawyer, and herself. She spoke again. “I’m hanging out with you at the moment. If i remember correctly we get along fairly well.” She smiled. “I wouldn’t drink so much with anyone else.” Grace said as she handed her back the bottle. “Though i do think-“ she paused for a second, the alcohol getting to her more than she cared for. “I’ve drank more than i should’ve.”

June
She followed after him, mostly following his wet feet as they weaved through the crowd and into the hallway. She felt pretty invasive walking through a house of a person she barely knew. When she walked inside, she was suprised to find out he had been here before. "So you've been friends with Ash for a while..." She mumbled a little defeated until she heard his warning. She quickly turned around and faced the door. A little relief returned to her as she was able to tear her eyes away from him. "That was nice of you to dive in. Although, it probably didn't make your night any better." She waited a bit before peaking over and seeing he was in a towel. "If it makes you feel any better, I didn't really have a great night too. But, I still want to make it better. This is my first Westbrook party afterall." Trying her best to be cheerful, but also being terrible at it.

Drake probably would've noticed Alester more, or even notice that Alester was noticing him, but he was always more focused on himself these days. On drowning out his feelings, on trying to control his emotions instead of letting them control him, and on finding his next high. He was entirely, disappointingly self-centered.

He started with Alester said three, but he had barely downed the second by time Alester was finished. Still, a man of his word, Drake downed the last shot. The alcohol all seemed to rush to his head at once, and he grinned widely. "Wow, I don't know why I haven't done shots before." It was a different kind of high than he was used to, but it hit him harder, faster, and easier than the drugs that he'd grown so used to.

"Alright, well, you won fair and square. The dare is yours, but give me more shots." Drake ordered and scooted his shot glasses towards Alester. Three shots was great and all, but he wanted more. More alcohol, more drunk, more happy. For once, happier.

"Not Ash. Jace, her brother. Used to be really close." Mason explained as he sighed and pulled on his shirt, followed by his flannel. "Drake and I stayed here for a while when..." He paused, realizing what he was about to say, and quickly changed his words. "When we were younger." In all actuality, it had been during a particularly bad moment with their mother.

"Well hanging out in the laundry room probably isn't the way to make tonight better." Mason pointed out. "But uh, since you now know soo much about me, why don't you tell me about yourself?" He asked and leaned back against the table before turning towards June, waiting for her answer.

"Uh, most of the time?" Ash laughed. She liked to think that Westbrook was generally a happy place. Although this year, it seemed to be so much worse. Everyone was already at each other's throats, and it had been only a week. "Okay, this year has been off to an exceptionally horrible start." It had to be some kind of record.

"Ooh, Mason. Not the best first kiss. Or any kiss at all." Ash snorted. Although she was friends with him, Ash had knocked down any romantic attempts from Mason. She wouldn't touch that kid with a ten foot pole. "But she'll forget about it. It was just a dare, and it's not anybody remembers their first kiss, right? Do you remember yours?" Ash faintly remembered hers, but it hadn't been anything special.

"That's the thing! It wasn't interesting, at all! We just sat there and talked." Ash groaned, shaking her head. She groaned and slammed her head against the wall, wincing when she realized it wasn't a good idea. "I don't know. I shouldn't even try to like anyone or date this year, right? And I've only really known him for a week, soo..." Ash laughed. She had planned on not dating this year after her horrible relationships before. Two boyfriends, and both had up and left, moving across the country, and then cheated on her. "Yeah, I shouldn't try, right? Not with my luck."

"Aww, Grace. This is why you're easily one of my best friends," Ash giggled. She tried to step away from the wall, but stumbled and fell back into it. "Okay. I might be done drinking for the night. What bout you? And like, if you're too drunk to drive home, you can totally just crash here."

June
Oh Jace. That's good... She thought to herself, even though she had no clue why it was such a relief to hear. Although it did disappoint her to hear he used to be friends with another person. She thought back to Kanen and remembering the way he looked sitting on the porch by himself. Maybe she could try again... "Ah, well I guess that's cool that I've managed to stay in contact with them." She said shrugged. "And the laundry room could be fun. Like, dryer sheets are cool, yay!" She did a half hearted fist bump in the air before crossing her arms over her chest. A little caught off guard by his question about her.

I still feel like he isn't telling anything. 'Know so much' is a understatement. She thought to herself before speaking, "Well, I moved from Nells Spring to live with my Dad for a bit." She hesitated a moment, hoping he didn't know Nells Spring at all. "I'm...living in Grace's home until I graduate. But I've mostly spend time taking pictures." She really hoped he didn't remember anything from the fight and her camera zooming in on him. He probably didn't considering he had other things to worry about. She didn't want to talk about photography so she waved her hand, "I mean, that's really all there is about me. Well, maybe besides I like plants." She wished she could lie. That she had an amazing life with hot guys driving motorcycles up to her Nells Spring home and riding to indie places to look cool. The idea was stupid in itself. A fantasy full of fiction and clichés. But anything would be better than the actual truth. "Um, Westbrook. Seems cool though. It must of been nice right?"

Grace

Grace thought for a second “I actually do remember my first kiss.” She nodded reminiscing “Believe it or not, it was Kanen.” She laughed. “Middle school.” She shook her head slowly, in disbelief. They used to be close when they kids. Maybe she actually will check in with him soon.

Grace snorted at Ash’s frustration at Ryan. “At least he was a ‘Gentleman’ right? I mean, that has to count for something.” She said, Ryan seemed nice enough. Besides he’s Sawyer’s best friend. He couldn’t be all bad. Grace wasn’t as close with him so she wouldn’t know. “Eh, you’ll never know if you don’t try.” She looked towards her. It was the truth, at least the truth Grace believed. She rolled her eyes at her, “No, Ash it isn’t your luck. It’s just bad people.” She shrugged, “But sooner or later you’ll find a guy who deserves you. You don’t have to rush it.” She smiled, “One of your best friends? Ouch Ash, that hurts. I’m one of a kind, y’know.” She said playfully, Slurring through most of her words

“I think I’m feeling great right now, and if i drink more great, if i don’t..also great. I just know I’ll feel this all in the morning.” She groaned. “Yeah..i don’t think I’m in a good condition to drive.” She leaned up off the wall, putting a hand against it to steady herself. “I might have to find June.” Grace didn’t want to. She really didn’t wanna. “No, correction. I have to find June” She said with a roll of her eyes. “I’ll catch you later.” She said with a small smile, stumbling away in her drunken state.
